Cutthroat is a popular Pinochle variation for three players. Unlike most partnership Pinochle games, Cutthroat pits each player against one another, every man for himself. It’s a fast-paced, highly competitive, and very strategic card game, requiring careful planning, good memory and discipline.
In this game, you can play online against real people or choose between 8 computer opponents, each with different skill levels and unique styles of playing. Each player is dealt 15 cards with 3 cards dealt face-down to the widow. Players bid after initial cards are dealt and the high bidder combines the widow cards to potentially form a stronger hand, then discarding the three weakest cards.
As of this release there are 10 options to customize game play to user preferences:

Well. Im not sure if the reviews even matter much since it seems the only adjustments made to the game seem to have been adverse. The counter while discarding cards is too short. The counter to throw a card is too long. We have the play to beat option selected but its never been enforced. Players are wildly AFK (away from keyboard or awol) throughout games and never get kicked. The scoring is off. We believe its an awesome game to have the opportunity to play short of finding an Alcoholics Anonymous club somewhere to be able to play. As of now though we wish the reviews would be taken into consideration by the Devs (developers).
Not enough time discarding cards. Rule in pinochle states must beat trick unless trumped. Fix & play by the rules.
Fun game. Best app for it but you really need to give more time to chose the cards to discard and less time to play the card/hand. Things change when you pick up the window and quite often your hand need to be looked at before discarding. Too often we run out of time and the computer picks the worst cards to discard. Its not just about meld! Its about tricks as well. Dont discard our 10s.
We just played a game where the bidder did not get any tricks with pointers and won the game! That is wrong you have to at least score a point in the runoff to win the game. We love this game but that needs to be fixed.
We are frustrated when playing online and our opponents just stop playing when they see they cant win the game. This makes the whole game stop due to an announced error, so the winner of the game never gets the credit for the win.
This used to be our favorite pinochle app. However, of late it locks up five or six tricks into the hand. Needs to be fixed.
Love the game but the latest version freezes mid hand.
Will this game ever be able to be online Its a real good game but we want to play with friends Is it possible to play with 2 people n one computer player.
We love playing this game, but its annoying when it locks up so much.
We love this game, but have found two problems. First, the percentages are not always correct. As an example, we have won 350 games and lost 224. But, ever since we got over 60% it seems to be stuck there. The second problem is that does not always require our opponents to play a higher card in the suit played. We are required to, but they are not always required to play that way. Fix these quirks and we would rate this with five stars.
We like the game but it has quirks which violate its own rules. Computer players deal. All pass, so CP gets the bid. Has zero meld. Takes bid and names best suit trump. Game continues. Same thing, bid dumped on Computer player calls trump with no marriage. CP has 10 meld, Aces, makes his bid with no marriage. We cant do this. As settings require marriage. In summary we cannot name trump without a marriage but computer players can? Computer player reneges. Trumps a suit then plays one? When playing we have required to beat on. CP1 plays low card. CP2 trumps. We are required /forced to to play higher card than CP1 in original suit? We burn our ace for no reason because we have to. What for? We are Required to Beat, but we cannot beat. We should be able to play low card of original suit played.
A couple of times the meld wasnt counted right on this game they make you go over the card that was played when the person in front of us trumped in Ive always played the game where you have to always go over a card played in front of you if possible is that a setting to adjust we had double kings and double queens in the same hand , with a rope ,pinochle the count was 173 seems a lot low.
We love this game, wish the online part worked so we could play against real players. The bots don't know how to play and and make it easy to win.
Every time we win it wont resister correctly fixed it.
The app is not working at… Scoring is completely off. Ive tolerated temporary scoring glitches and other things but its time for a complete overhaul ASAP.
Just so that everyone knows this gm. Is single dk. Only, but it is cutthroat style.
