We dont think everything theyve been doing is bad, we like the combat system for 1, its not the biggest deal that loot finding is random, and while very annoying we can live with the new camping system where you have to upgrade everything and it takes irl time. The part that kills this game is how difficult they have made the new combat and not in a fun way. Enemies get stronger as our character levels up but it always seems when Im just finally getting strong enough to scrape by in a fight the enemies scale up to be twice as strong again. We got stuck on the first fight of the recent event because even with as many buffs as we could find, best weapons equipped that the enemy was even weak to and summoned plenty of allies to try and help us, we still lost the fight over 30 times before concluding its just not possible. It just makes us feel like theyre making it harder so that we have to pay to buy whatever new crazy weapons theyre trying to sell you for an event.
We love the survival role play but the recent updates are in the wrong direction unfortunately took some of the realist aspect of the game. Are you supposed to carry the fire with you??? It is so much less realistic role playing :(.
We used to love this game, we still log in every other month to see if they rolled it back. The camp system that magically follows you everywhere with silly timers completely ruins the immersion. Please make a version where we are able to enjoy the game we originally bought.
We have played Day R Survival for many years and it continues to pull us back in every time. We originally played on an Android phone and over the years we spent a few hundred dollars because we enjoyed the game so much. When we upgraded to an iPhone our progress did not transfer which meant we had to start over completely. We have restarted three or four times and even now we keep coming back because the experience is that good. We currently have the game on our new phone and it has stayed installed for well over a year. We often delete other apps to make space but we will not delete this one. We like knowing that whenever we have the time and the mental space to truly dive in the world is waiting for us. This game requires attention and focus. It is a true real time survival experience where there are no old saves to return to and every choice matters. That makes each session feel rewarding and meaningful. When we spend an evening playing we feel like our time has been used in the best way because we are fully engaged. The atmosphere is intense and the sense of danger is constant. You have to plan every step, manage resources, and think carefully before moving forward. The challenge makes each success feel earned. Even after all the restarts we still find new paths, new strategies, and new stories within the game world. We once purchased about one thousand caps when we could afford them so that we would have them for future use. Even without spending more money now we are still deeply satisfied because the core gameplay stands on its own. Our only wish is that there was a way to link progress across platforms so that players like us who switch from Android to iPhone can keep everything they worked for. Day R Survival is a game that rewards dedication and thoughtful play. It is more than a way to pass time. It feels like an adventure that respects the effort you put in and gives you something back every time you log in. We recommend it to anyone who wants a survival game that is challenging, immersive, and endlessly replayable.
This game is amazing and still has so much more potential.
Ive been playing this game for a long time. Have tried other survival games that we see ads on instagram but none of them have amounted to how Day R is. Its very challenging and has great ambience.
We leave and come back to this game quite often and we enjoy it, some may say its a money grab but for us honestly as long as you keep improving the game take our money pls, we want you guys to never stop working on this game.
Yes you can buy things or you can overcome and get the stuff yourself.
We dont normally write reviews or play mobile games more then a week and then give up on them but we find this game very fun and dose not require you to be active at all pick up and play and put down when you want its not very hard or complicated to us but not too easy either we really enjoy this as a survival mobile game.
They were able to restore an old purchase and definitely have our full support 5+ stars Veteran beta tester and just got our veteran account back.
Ive never rated a game before or written a review but this game deserves it. We started playing this game a long time ago and its always been good but the recent updates have made it amazing. The new camp system is fantastic and the recent reworks have made the game so much more forgiving and playable. The devs have done great work on this game recently and they should be very proud of themselevs for what theyve created.

This game is truly fun and amazing but after some updates our lvl 100 workbench that we worked so hard and other crafting benches get reset its not fun nor amazing its makes us less excited to play it.
Ive been playing Day R for YEARS. Since its inception, more or less. Bummed to restart our character (moved from android to IOS) but also excited to see whats different and new in the early game. This was the only game we consistently blew money without regret, be it console or smartphone. Probably gonna again.
Ive played Day R for about 6-7 years now and we cant believe the fun ride its been on. Started out fantastic, not too difficult but it was hard when it should be, combat and searching amazing and unique game. Then the whole ads and payments phase happened and things started changing, way harder game that we literally couldnt play unless we bought stuff due to high radiation and impossible enemies and you couldnt get any single weapon or armor upgrades from anywhere and we had to take another break, it was sad we couldnt play one of our favorite games lol. We dont know if its the event or the new home base system, but this is once again feeling like how they first started out. A hard and interesting game that has fun stories and the best looting and searching system. Its almost just right, now that Im higher level Id like to see some more quests like when we were able to fight the sea monster or story lines like the icebreaker of death we think its become pretty dialed in and we cant wait for more of this new update. Our favorite game.
Awesome game iv played this for years on multiple devices. One thing is iv seen this game from its first opening to now, one complaint and only complaint iv ever had and iv spends 100s$ on this game. The new wait time in real life for reading magazines is a little much we love that the game went above and beyond with this update but to have in game wait time and real life wait time only pulls the player for accessing to play as much. Example- workbench, you can make a homemade pistol. And its 3 hours in game time to make it instantly. But to make some coal, or read a magazine or open a simple pistol case almost 2 hours for everything is a little much. 15 fat? 1hour Maybe dont remove this new feature you added but cut down all real life wait times by 50% to keep players stuck playing more. And Hint want to spend more money on the game for future updates and game creations for other further games this game company has. Game rating 9-10 Issue- wait time is a little over thought when making this change and a little much. We dont wana play 15 mins at a time 5 times a day. Id love to play 30 mins and have anything Im creating or waiting for to be done while still playing. Not wait 2-5 hours (Upgrading camp wait time) we agree should stay as is. For the realistic building a better camp does take time in real life as a survival aspect. LOVE THE GAME GUYS! We recommend to all our post apocalyptic players and lovers.
Can't use our bandages anymore and the attacks are ridiculous they skip pass traps and attack you no matter where you move to on the map. We have lost our level after days of getting to there to learn we cannot use certain items and make certain things because of this. Not sure the reason to do this and no longer get caps when drinking soda also. Keep being sent back to middle of nowhere and keep dying to the point of level dropping from 18 to 12. This is no longer fun. We won't be wasting money on this game if thats what they want. Caps cost too much. This is virtual currency noway any online objects cost no more than $5 thats for any game. Everything we unlocked is locked now because of camp update.
Ive owned this game for years, it is a great game, and every so often the developers change the game, altering aspects of it that can significantly change game play. The latest has you build a camp, and when you are building or upgrading, you have to wait in REAL time for tasks to be completed. So annoying to wait. Wasnt this game mechanic outdated years ago? We vote that this should be removed. Id rather just pay a bit extra for the newest version. Have a subscription based game. Something like $10 to buy it, and then $1.99 every time a new version is put out to play the new updated version.
We played on easy to learn, we played this game on & off for 3-4years. We ended up loving the game spent a good chunk of money in it and decided to start a new character on a harder difficulty now that we understand it and got back into it. Do not spend money, the money you spend just goes to that character. Not all future characters like a thought it would a huge waste. We dont mind the difficulty, but if we put money into the game for the items/vehicles those things should go to all future characters new or old. Good game but do not waste your money on it.
We love this game a ton. At first when we started playing it we thought it was boring but then it eventually got interesting. Its so atmospheric. We wish the old music was back though and there were more quests. We also wish that the pictures had colour in them and they moved. It would make the quests seem much more visual.
Ive been playing dayr for years off and on and with every time we returned the game has taken on a completely new form with refined mechanics. Thank you Mrfalcon for introducing so many to this game <3.
Amazing game. One of our favorites. Im in the military so its hard to find games we can play longterm that dont need any kind of signal. Only downside to the game, and the only reason im writing a review is because we the game stops all media playback when we play it, meaning we cant listen to music when im playing the game. If there was a way to change that our playtime would go up tenfold. Keep doing what you do, this is one of the best games in the appstore and it honestly doesnt get enough love.
Should bring back that one store mode where you can go though every thing an choose what to buy instead of the buy this to get a better loot item next time we spend more caps this game is a scam.
Loved this game (really loved it), nice to see you gradually turn it into a money grab, wish we could have the old version still. Tried starting a new character and the changes are obviously only about creating cash grab mechanics and not actual improvements. This game change was very saddening, please no generic response. Sad enough seeing a gem turned into hot trash.
We enjoy the game very much, but would love it if we could fast travel between safe houses, because when we get to a new zone, it takes too long to get to one of the previous ones and we leave behind a lot of stuff. Or if they could also sport a shared inventory something nice like that.
We love the way this game plays. It starts out challenging at the beginning as you learn how to survive in a post apocalyptic Russia, and progressively gets more difficult as you master the skills to survive. We usually shun online playing (this game gives the option for both online and offline) but the well moderated message board allows players to help each other and build a real camaraderie. We originally played this game on our android phone and when we switched to apple we bought it again. Its the only purchased game on our device. You can play the entire game for free, but the small cost to go premium is worth it.

Love the game. But if Im playing for any length of time, we would be more likely to keep playing if we could listen to music, podcast, etc while playing.
Everything in the game right now is great but our only complaint is that with rad and how there are no easy ways early game to get rid of them.
This game is one of the best mobile games Ive played, the Bryansk mission is confusing though, it wants us to get a musket but you cant make a musket, you have to BUY it with caps, which is something we dont want to do. But apart from that, this game is very fun and the developers should continue to work on it.
Congratulations to the developers. Please take a giant steamy crap in one hand and clap really hard because you did it you actually did it. You took a one of a kind fun and incredible game and turn it to crap. Because of your freaking GREED it is impossible to play now. You can keep your pathetic generic and pre-scripted response.
If any devs read this we could use some help we updated the game on our iPhone and it completely broke the New Years event textures we have tryed to reach out to support via email however when we attempt to send the email we get notified that the email address is not valid.
Hi, Ive been so excited for the Christmas update. It never came out. Is it only for the original Day R? Please add it to this version of the game.
We wish it was easier to progress in game and the difficulty of rads is getting crazy. Hopefully the rads can die down a little.
This game used to be amazing but it is no longer enjoyable and the purchase scheme they have now seems to be aimed at deceiving ppl like the titanium tool set that shows no use limit until u spend a large sum of money then it shows that everything breaks after 1 k uses and that is after u have paid for the premium game. Well we learned our lesson not putting another cent into this game. Until there are major changes to this game dont bother with it.
Well, in the middle of writing our review, it miraculously disappeared. Before that happens again let us just say we like the game up till version 723, but then it became too difficult. We were working to achieve level 65 and was almost there and Ive gone down to about level 57. Some items will become way too expensive others to become valueless. We have been trying to adapt to the new situation, but it is quite frustrating available tips and weapons descriptions are almost nonexistent for a single player of a casual nature. As far as the workings of the game go, we do find them quite interesting and intriguing.
We were playing this game since release. This last update ruined it. We were okay with the game getting more difficult, but now all the even items have been nerfed. The ungodly amount of resources that went into our hunters garb is insane. All to be lost and put to 50 armor. It was over 1500. The game is pay to win now, and we wont check it out until another update to these changes. Good job devs. You messed up.

Its gone the route of Last Day on Earth, changing crafting recipes to need more materials and materials you have to grind for. Added zones you have to pay to enter. And most infuriating, nerfing gear from past events- (Hunter Hook, Helsing Crossbow) stuff you had to grind to get and grind more to upgrade And as of the newest patch, making you grind again yo get them back to the level you had. Screw the Devs. Get a hacked version and dont give a cent to these crooks.
Ive played this game since 2017, it continues to get better and better. Well done and well worth the price.
Before this newest update, the game was still very grindy but it was a lot of fun. Then this new update released and the game is completely unplayable.
We know how ridiculous this may sound, but this game once had a gentle fire crackling sound when you would start a fire. Whenever we were stressed out in real life, we would open the game and start a fire and do other stuff. The ambience was so calming, and it made us want to play the game for hours. Now the sound of the camp fire doesnt sound the same, and sounds too sparky/harsh. Everything else about this game is great, but that fire sound (along with other sounds that got changed), were part of the reason we kept playing this game. Sad to see these changes were made.
Im a longtime player of this game. Its so much fun. We love the challenging aspects like combat and resource management such as food and water. Its all around a fun game and no complaints.
This used to be a good game until the creator completely messed up the balance. Now 1000 litres of fuel will only get you down the block. It is just trash. Wish we could download the original again.

Its a great game, interesting survival mechanics, good story (even though some things are a tiny bit politically incorrect but hey) we have some suggestions, Maybe adding more melee weapons? Like scrap swords and Maybe making the nail club stun the opponent or Maybe take away an action point (just a suggestion). Another suggestion is Maybe adding a side quest that Maybe is centered around a group from America, maby exploring there side of the story and how that group was affected by the war, and Maybe as a award for completing the quest you Maybe get an American weapon like a 1911 or a M16 or some gimmicky and goofy armor like a Uncle Sam themed armor. Or possibly a town in the Japan island that is just mountains atm. We just thought these would be some cool ideas you might like to maybe use as inspiration for future updates or projects, we just really enjoy your game and really wanted to give you some ideas if you wanted any.
Probably one of the best mobile games made, pretty sure it was made by the same devs who made the og fallout, which is why the game is similar to it. In case you didnt know, they updated the game a lot over the years and its changed a ton, we gotta admit we miss the old day r, we like some of the new changes, but a lot we dont like. Id give it 5 stars, but its just not as good as it used to be.
