AUGUST 18th 2023 Thank You for listening to us. Bout to have somemore fun! Edit: Feb 8 2021 Sooooooo you are not gonna listen to us?… To the previous mechanics. We like the new art style though we really don't like this new version. After the first boss it is next to impossible to progress. You simplified the upgrades & took away the weapons & skins. We were doing so great before this. You took out everything that made it fun. What's the reason you took out the arsenal? In four years this iz what we get? Your game iz not fun. Those of us that have had the previous versions know. Please bring the fun old version back and improve on it or leave it as it wuz instead of giving your new & old fans this.
We used to play this game when we were a kid and it was fun we just got this game back and now there are a bunch of bugs. 1. The background glitches out a lot. 2. Sometimes the enemies disappear and you can only see the health bar. 3. This is the worst because the game will let us upgrade our character but it wont let us buy and guns and when we try to it puts a different gun on the screen and it says ok if you press ok it will then take the amount of money your spending on the gun you want and it wont give you the gun if you keep doing it you will end up with negative in game currency. We really hope you can fix the game it was fun when we used to play it but there are to many bugs which makes it unplayable.
We used to love this game in high school. It was unique, and had a lot of potential. We still think that. But it has way too many bugs for it to be worth playing at this point in time. Just to give a few examples of game breaking bugs that anyone can and will easily encounter: The background glitches in and out quite often, which can mess with your eyes and possibly trigger seizures for people with epilepsy Sometimes, when the background glitches, enemies will just disappear entirely, with only their healthbar remaining. They cant attack, meaning you cant even counterattack them. It can be very annoying sometimes. The wolf enemy will randomly move on slow motion during its second attack, and because the bite shows up so early, it makes timing a counterattack against that attack very difficult if not impossible. Buying weapons just doesnt work. Youll buy the gun, but it wont take you out of the menu for buying that gun. If you tap it again, itll take out the gold to buy that weapon AGAIN, and if you do that enough, you can easily go into the negatives. On top of that, the guns dont actually stay bought. Ive bought multiple guns, only to just now find out they dont stay bought once youve bought them. We wasted 30k gold on a gun and now we just cant get that back. Some achievements simply dont work. Because of the gun buying glitch, you cant actually unlock the buy your first weapon achievement. We also havent unlocked the unlock all upgrades acheievement despite having all the upgrades. Overall, while we think this game has an awesome concept, and the execution of the gameplay is a satisfying gameplay loop, these game breaking bugs completely ruin the experience and immersion. For the future of this otherwise amazing mobile game, please fix these bugs.
Game is super glitchy. We remember playing this years ago but now it slows down the gameplay so much its about impossible.
We were buying a gun, but after purchasing it, the option to buy it was still there, but our money had gone down. We thought it was just a visual glitch so we pressed buy again, then a few more times for fun. Then we noticed we had -34000 gold it shouldnt be possible to drop below 0, let alone get to something that ludicrously low. Please fix this asap.
Been playing since iPhone 6 on and off. We got it in March 2021 and shocked they rebooted it. It looks so good and plays great. Its awesome the new style but we wish we choose what to upgrade. It seems completely free to play so thats why we keep the five stars.
Not gonna lie we like the old one better.
We used to play this game all the time when we were younger, spending hours just listening to music and relaxing as the gameplay is just simple enough to be able to not put much mind into it. Story isn't bad either, although as a kid we never got far and didn't understand it well.
The character shoots by himself an the parry is all weird and offbeat, its not what it was when we first played it, you cant even buy guns, outfits or armor anymore.
Fun game but cant play effectively due to bug where part of the iPhone Siri/cards page shows up while playing.
We want to say that devil eater is an extremely fun game and we had a blast playing it. However, we want to say that devil eater reboot just doesnt work with us and if it was the devil eater we first experienced, we wouldnt have enjoyed any of it.
Its fine But we prefer the old one.
The new core mechanics are tearable revert to the old devil eater or make them separate games because not being able to use skill shot until its full thats tearable and the way they changed the counter attack system is so less rewarding and regular monsters spawn when the boss spawns and also not having different weapons is lame especially since we hade really good ones and now we deal like this game is more worth uninstalling after knowing the old and good devil eater.
Not as good as it used to be, the former mechanics that the game had made it such a better game especially the character designs but now this game is nothing more than garbage.
We had so much progress. We were grinding to get the best weapon in game to finally beat the game. We were on like 375 kills. You simplified the game to the point its just bad. The animation was good before the update but its just bad right now. Its too simple. PLEASE GO BACK.
Not a fan at all of the recent update with the new game mechanics. Shouldve just created an entirely separate game. Its a shame.
PLEASE bring back the old mechanics. This new one feels 100% less interactive and gives a more brainless experience. Before you had to do so much more to attack and counter enemies moves but now its so slow and attacking is automatic. Please make some sort of alternate version or something where you can play old version.
Devil Eater is a rougelike game where your healthbar is influenced by killing enemies and counter attacking. You must really try hard to make your way to the top and save your love. Overall we recommend this game to fans of action or rougelike games.
It's a simple game but it is lots of fun.
Hands down in our top ten anyone looking for some quick action packed fun look no further.

We have erased and re downloaded this game 3 times! If that doesn't say addicted! We don't know what does.
It's a really cool game , but there is the problem must be solved , we can't press the ad to double our coins after we die , we hope you fix it quickly.
The games system is basic yet fun. All in all its a dank free game that u should play.

Wonderful game we love the concept and the new haptic touch update rules makes for easier gameplay.
We've been playing for 5 days and we've had a blast. It kinda gets boring after a while so we just play a little every day to get the daily challenges. The ad system works fine for us, it's a huge advantage to gather up more coins and yet the game isn't focused only on that. You can play the game in its entirety without watching a single ad if you really hate them. It would be cool to see more variety on gameplay.
As stated by a previous reviewer, you can only press the ignore button and not the ad button. Cool game otherwise.
It's a good game, but there is something important it lacks. Perhaps a different game mode.

This is a decent game, but it suffers from lag and other bugs, and the advertisements make it worse! Nothing was fixed.
We bought two things from the store with real money, one from a celestial. And it gave us neither one of them. It did however charge it to our bank account but never gave us the weapons. Very upset with this ordeal.
The game is still broken. We wrote up a full report and the devs didn't listen. The ads at the end of a play through are broken and all you can do is press ignore. They update the game and didn't fix any bugs. We don't get it.
Don't have to spend real money. Love that shyit. Hella fun game.

All we saw were ads. Everything appears to be ad-driven. This is a bad model.
We never find games these good very often. It has a lot of replay to offer, and has a bit of interesting story. One thing though, the description of the guns, and such lack a little grammar/spelling, and the Encounters don't usually work. But that won't take the 5 star from you :).

This game is a blast to play. Repetitive, sure. But, it's still challenging. We can't get enough.
The dev reached out to us to check out their game and we have to say, t is extremely addicting and challenging. There are several typos/poor translations, but that doesn't detract from the fun. And it's FREE. Why not pick it up and try it out? You even get bonuses for watching ads, which surprisingly isn't that bad of an idea. You're not forced to watch them, but if you do you get in-game bonuses.
Hard at first but you'll get the hang of it.
