Good game some segments are pretty hard tho and we are having a bug where in the canyon base all of the guys are sped up so they are hitting us constantly but we cant really do anything about that.
1st time we’ve written a review for an app and this one definitely deserves it. Been playing for about 2 months and we have yet to find a zombie game like it. Hours of content, tons of zombies to use and upgrade, and challenging enough to keep the game interesting. Highly recommend giving this game a shot, you wont regret it!
The game is fun and interesting. We love the story in particular as well as the music. The only thing we have a problem with is the ads dont work and every time we open the app, it asks us if we want personalized ads again despite choosing yes or no.
This game is great dont get us wrong but the ai cant decide whether the closer thing you need to pass level or the further one that has a lot of enemies Theres also the enemies going extremely fast for no reason.
Ads arent working so the grind is painful.
The game is a complete mess, the ads dont load, The ai is very bad, the zombies are too underpowered, the enemies are too powerful, and the power ratings are very misleading, oh you 3,300 power to beat this level, well good luck with that because what you really is 10,000 power or more due to, your zombies dying too easily to everything, the upgrades on zombies is bad, the normal upgrades is bad, long range damage is terrible, and we are not kidding, one of the range zombies deal only 1 damage, the gameplay overall is very unbalanced, most zombies arent even worth using, the tank cant even tank, and the damage dealers die too early. There is only one micro-transaction in the game that just turns off ads.
We really enjoy this game. We dont ever feel pressured to buy anything with real money. We want to to support the developers though. We definitely recommend. There are some problems here and there. We dont always understand what some buildings or upgrades are for. We really want to pay to remove ads but we cant buy it for some reason. Like there are multiple buttons for it but nothing happens with we tap them. (Update: we now believe that paying for no ads is actually locked behind something. What we dont know. We just finished chapter 2. Still locked. We spent 6$. Still locked. ) Im looking forward to more updates for this game. We mostly just want fixes for now. Other than that we think it deserves five stars.
We expected little from this game based on the graphics. We were surprises to find an incredibly in-depth and well-made game with a totally unique game mechanic. We have never played a game like this before, and we are pleased to say that this game took a unique idea and made it work perfectly. The interface can be a bit confusing in some places, but if we spend a moment to try to figure it out and read the info on the screen, the answer is always apparent. Bravo, dev.
In desperate need of an update. The translated text needs a lot of fixing, the game wont go past chapter 4, there are numerous glitches, and this is the best game we have ever played.
This game reminds us of a flash game called Infectonator. The goal in Infectonator is to turn all humans on the map into zombies but you have a limited amount of resource to spend. Dont Party: Pixel Z is quite like that but with a story attached to it and with plenty of upgrades/zombies to choose from. There is some grind to the game but we find it to be one of the least grindy f2p games available.
When you spawn units it can be a bit glitchy and doesnt count, so you might have to click like 3-5 times to spawn like 2 units. We also have a problem with a few missions, the final mission in chapter four called darkest our has the most confusing boss, we sat there for twenty minutes spawning hundreds of units all over the map because we couldnt figure out how to get rid fo the sludge under the cocoon looking things, and after the 20 minutes of brute forcing by placing over and over we won without even knowing how. Next mission is CANDID CHAT, its basically impossible on hard difficulty, we’ve tried many strategists, be it smoker, hundreds of regular zombies, tanks, spinners, etc. And after an hour of continuously trying to no avail in the slightest, we give up. We had a blast playing the game, but these problems Im having seem a bit unfair or not explained well. We do find the upgrading somewhat easy to deal with, it was easy to navigate, there is not hundreds of different materials that you need to upgrade your zombies, only two kinds, blood, and brains. Summoning hordes of zombies from the far side of the map is fun because you can continuously add to it before it reaches enemies. So main things we want fixed is Candid chat, zombie placing with clicking, and info for final boss. We keep getting this AD pop up saying something about personalizing your experience please stop asking. We keep saying we agree or No thanks its not worth our time to play if this keeps happening.
Your games great we love it we always play it in our free time an we just got into chapter 4 but the mission isnt anywhere on the map an idk what to do so Im,I guess if you could, could you guys check that out for a player please thank you keep up the good work.
On the surface, its a fun little zombie sim with wonderful pixel art. But the story takes some weird and unexpected turns, and ends up even better! Takes time, but what a great gem this is!
We can never access the phone it always says connection error after making a profile and we have business class internet speed, so Im confused if its bug or a simple game mechanic we havent unlocked.
When we first played the game, we liked it, but had to replace our phone because something was we couldnt go to the Lock Screen. When we got a new phone, forgot about the game until about 2 or 3 months after we got it. But when u tried to get in the game, we couldnt actually play the game because it said that it failed to read the server data and to try again later. It has been weeks since we first tried to play the game again and we still cant get in. We hope you can fix this so we can play the game again. Please do.
Okay so first off, we want to give this game 6 stars but Im limited to just 5. Im giving 3 because we have we complaint. We want to buy the remove ads ability, but it will not let us. We can buy gems just fine, but the ad removal does not prompt a purchase. Its a button with no purpose. Please let us get the ad removal so we can support this amazing game.
Odd that the only other written review is a 1 star. For us, we never even saw this advertised, but found it searching for new games. The artstyle is extremely charming and the gameplay is invigorating and makes you sort of think (spam chasers, chasers are the BEST). The story is what makes this game shine, and although there are slight translation issues, everything comes across understandably. We were stunned that this was F2P after Chapter 1. You can get more items by playing, or if you feel like it, watching ads. Amazing game. Edit: changing from 5 to 3. The translations are becoming unbearable and the story is impossible to follow during chapter 4.
Im all for playing your zombie game, but at least put some effort into your English translations. Or at least dont go translating it in the order of Mandarin->French->Indonesian->German->Tagalog->English!
Im experiencing an issue where the game just hangs at loading and will eventually ask us to retry or cancel. We’ve checked our internet connection and we’ve tried the uninstall/reinstall but problem persists.
After chapter we 3 some of the text is replaced with numbers and cant be read, and in chapter four the mission candid chat is imposible.
Would be a lot better if the no ads purchase actually worked. Will change once its fixed.
Game loads forever and says it cannot connect to server.
Upon first loading the game, we were given an error saying the server could not be located. We changed wifi, and tried cellular. Never worked.
We try logging in and then it keeps loading, but never can start the game.
It wont even open past the loading screen -_-

We tried to play it for the first time but it keeps saying we are not connected to the sever we were even using the Apple ID account to try its not connecting.

Surprisingly decent story with fun zombie summoning. Not bad.
We like the concept and it doesn’t feel heavy for ourchasing content maybe I’d buy the no ads (if we could as it doesnt allow such a thing maybe fix that?) we like how the games runs sure the open cutscene was too fadt but none the less I’d personally say its enjoyable. Give it a try guys :p.
We were shocked when the game was free to play, you can use real life money to purchase more resources to advance quicker, however as there isnt an energy system you can easily and quickly farm for your resources in levels, or buy them using other game resources when the market occasionally appears after levels. Some of the buildings and character upgrades can allow you to gather resources more efficiently letting you get what you need from 2 or the levels. You can also watch ads to get decent quantity of resources when they pop up. All in all, you can play the game easily for free, no content is locked behind a pay wall, and its a unit placement strategy game if you enjoy those kinds of games.
The story is actually great, the mechanics and pixel graphics are awesome. Only bummer is the ads removal purchase button doesnt seem to work.
The gameplay is fun and easy to understand. The difficulty ramps up appropriately as you progress. Im looking forward to chapter 4, we’ve already beaten every location on hard.
Its not too difficult, but does require some thinking if you want to get clear the time limit to get the postcards/gold award. If you are under leveled or feel that your zombies are weak, just kill a lot in the past levels to get materials to develop your stats. We ended up using only three zombie types, which isnt good since there are a variety of zombies. Some of the units remain useful throughout the game while others lose practicality or are not useful in the first place. Thats all we can think of at the moment, just gripes about the zombies. We find the story to be decent. Im interested in playing through the rest of it when it is updated or completed.
The art, plot and gameplay are fantastic. Would love to support the developers with some in-app purchases but am unable to do so for some reason.
Its a fun game thats riddled with cancerous ads that make the game unplayable without clicking on them. Fix the option you give to pay to remove ads, as we would happily spend $5 on this game to be able to actually play it.
The game is about a super powered being who was experimented on and can summon zombies to defeat her foes which she uses to fight the big corporation that imprisoned her. Its a fun game! Genuinely surprised by how fun it is to unleash a horde of zombies on your enemies! However the biggest issue is the translation and localization. It literally ruins the game. We sometimes have no clue what some people are saying, the sentences sometimes seem like gibberish. For us it ruined the whole experience. It wouldnt matter if there wasnt much narrative and exposition. But there is a lot of dialogue and lore. It even makes it hard to understand the rules. We would recommend it only if the dev fixes the translation and localization.
So after downloading this app(which crashes every time we try to launch) our ipad air tried to redownload 10 apps we had long since deleted. We are worried now that this has malicious code in it.
We saw an advertisement for this app on Instagram, which shouldve been a big red flag as is (most companies who advertise their games on Instagram are generic dime-a-dozen companies who only churn out a profit by bombarding their userbases with nonstop advertisements for so much as breathing). But like a fool, we decided to download it anyways… The graphics in the intro looked fine, but unfortunately we couldnt log into our Apple account through the app (is that even something that should be possible?) so we decided to play as a guest only to be treated to a cutscene thats WAY too quick for us to be able to properly grasp the backstory of the game. And to make it even less enjoyable, this garbage-tier app crashes TWICE before it finally loads into the beginning scene where the protagonist is supposed to be escaping from a lab where they had inhumane experiments being done on them… And right as theyre telling us what to do? THE GAME CRASHES A THIRD TIME IN THE MIDDLE OF THEIR DIALOGUE. WHAT is the point of making a game with good graphics if it CANNOT RUN? This was such a disappointing experience.
