Community Insight:

Pleasantly surprised by this RPG, old school feel with some nice humor included. Strongly recommend.

Fun game. The two sequels are amazing as well.

The game has been fantastic so far except for one bug Ive run into. At the desert arena where you have to answer the four questions, the last question (What is the greatest indie app ever created?) is bugged. It doesnt matter what answer you give he will call you a puny human and tell you that you have failed his test. You then die, game over. This makes it impossible to get all of the dragon orbs.

We could not move the cursor, so no way to play. Deleted.

This game made us laugh, it was entertaining and we had a great time playing it. As soon as we finished we got the advanced doom and destiny. We wish there were more from this developer, we really enjoyed their creation.

This game is dripping with personality and humor. These folks know their audience. Great old school pixel RPG.

Been playing for forty and only stopped to write this review because the developers deserve it!! Love every bit of it! No going back to playing it.

Love old school like this. The skills are fun and we like how you can combine what you want as needed.

This game is more fun than a lot of $60 AAA titles. The small Italian dev team made a hilarious and intriguing game that makes lots of references to classic RPGs but stands on its own. Just buy it. And buy the sequel. Both are 6/5 stars.

Cant believe how much we are enjoying this game, given how basic it is. So fun.

The humor and the tropes in this game have had us chuckling at the screen a bunch of times. We can't wait to finish it and try out the sequel. Thanks for making D&Destiny.

Two thumbs up, if you like the old style RPGs this is the best we have found.

Amazing old style RPG filled with delightful humor and colorful characters. Just the game Ive been looking for.

Bought this game on a whim. We were looking for something like the Final Fantasy series or Fire Emblem but wasnt feeling a serious tone. This game makes fun of all the classic games we love and its great. Definitely worth more than the price! 10/10 Ya dirty animals.

Definitely worth $3 if not more. Super fun, Super Funny! Theres a lite version if you wanna play with adds, but the paid version is more fun without the interruptions. Regardless, worth your time either way.

Funny, smart, easy to get into and challenging at times.

Lots of fun! Has old school feel to the game with a creative take. The controls are a little whonkey to get started and used to but once you get it its easy to move around. The story is good and the dialogue makes us laugh.

30 hours and 100% completion later, we say this: What kind of message does it send to impressionable gamers that you can refill your health by eating 10 bags of chips back to back? What kind of programmer encourages guzzling soda and beer by the hundreds to cast magic? This is complete BS. Our beer consumption had never let us cast spells, and we dont heal wounds when we eat chips and paninis! Worse, this game is a PETA-nightmare of slaughtering cute little pigs by the thousands and we dont even get bacon as loot. How inconsiderate. In short, this is a fantastic RPG, wrapped up in a tiny price tag – we found it searching Best IOS RPGs looking for a new game to play and our only regret is that its over.

Such a great classic style game.

Title says it. Now Im getting back to this game. Its better than many AAA games Ive played this year.

We probably spent too much time on this game. We had the lite version, but we decided it would be best to support with the full version.

Bought this one a while back and completed it once. Picked it back up recently and we can honestly say that we have no idea why we put it down. The combat is challenging but not overdone, the story is genuinely enjoyable and, well we just liked the game.

This is a fun J-RPG with a lot of humor and many pop/video game references. If you wanna play a turn based RPG that doesnt take itself too seriously, give this a go.

Classic arcade dungeon crawler bloody fantastic.

This is the best game ever on mobile. The combat is awesome, and the story. We highly recommend it.

This game is super fun and well made. Runs great with no crashing and is totally worth the 2.99. Even better is no in app purchasing so its not a pay to play type game.

Probably the best game Ive played via phone. The humor in this rpg is amazing.

This game brings great joy and humor.

Its by far the best mobile game Ive ever came across. Its actually a whole game. And cheap to.

We played this on the Xbox 360 many years ago and when we saw it on download for phones we were sold. This game is such fun glad to be playing it again.

We really enjoyed this game. We love old-school turn based RPGs and this is one of the better ones Ive encountered an iOS. Humor is great and storylines not too shabby either.

This is one of the best RPG game on this App Store along with the Dragon Quest games.

Great old school rpg. Love it.

Pretty good role playing game so far.

Beautiful game. Beautiful style. Humorous jokes. Amazing style. We love this game and have been playing it non-stop for the past week! We cant wait to see what else yall will make.

Only a couple hours in, but Im enjoying this game. It works on an iPhone XS running iOS 12.1. No glitches or hiccups thus far. Controls take a little getting used to, but we dont play many games on our phone.

If you like old school turn base rpg. Youll love this. Absolute love all the Easter eggs and retro gaming references.

The overall experience is similar to that of classic final fantasy titles with a great sense of humour wherever you go. Worth every cent.

So far we have been very pleased with what the devs have done here . Every bit of satire and subtle shoutouts to other realms of nerd-don is on point and gives this game a really good feeling of what it was like gaming growing up . Be that digital , or table top.

Such a fun game! 5/5 stars. Its like FF and Zelda had a hilarious love-child. Very much a classic RPG, we love the overworld feel and the old-school controls. About 2 hours in and we dont want to put it down.

If youre a fan of classic, turn-based, RPG then this gem is for you! In tradition of Adventure RPGs this one has it all: numerous villages and towns, monsters, rare drop items, and some good freaking humor! The game developers poke fun a lot in the games storyline, the dialogue between characters and NPCs are really funny. You can save ANYTIME, the battle functions are simple and easy to pick up. Its worth a download if you want an indie vacation from more modern, swipe-and-slash RPGs.

No crashes, no in app purchase and HOURS of fun. Im nearly 30 hours in and the game still surprises us… So many nerd jokes! This game had us chuckling out loud! Well worth the price. If you liked any Final Fantasy up till 8, Zelda, ChronoTrigger or any game like that, you will LOVE this game!!! Easy controls, no bugs or crashes, easy learning curve, versatility and more.

D&D is definitely in our top 3 as far as RPGs go, in the App Store/ for iOS.. Its % worth the $1 we had paid for Doom & Destiny, no doubt about it! Do yourself a favor and just buy the game.

Possibly the best 99 cents we ever spent. We love the lack of IAP and classic play. It's a good long game, too. We're like 8 hours in and feel like there's probably a long way to go. The writing is good and very funny. There are occasional and slight off-color jokes that keep this from totally being kid-friendly, but it's better than a lot of what's out there. For adults, we'd give it more stars if we could. We wish this dev would team up with the Aveyond team to get more wonderful old school style games onto the App Store.

We were skeptical at first – although, this RPG is something that reminds us of adventures past, as well as games with a fun factor that undoubtedly kept you playing until the end…similar to 16-bit classics. This game is fully functional, not only as a satire of nostalgic games, but also as a quality RPG. Definitely recommend; and we hope the developers continue to make similar games in the future. Edit: Unfortunately, our saves were wiped due to an update. Thats definitely disappointing.

This has a great JRPG feel, really good battle mechanics, and excellent writing. Very sarcastic and very fun. This game is wonderful.

Funny little rpg. Worth buying.

The game has everything you want. A fun story, humor, and a nice reference to D&D that we truly enjoy.

Rock on to the game devs who, years after this games release, are still perfecting and fine tuning it. That's love! Best RPG we've ever played, and now it runs flawlessly. Buy this game, and the upgraded version AD+D, you won't regret it.

We haven't finished it yet, but it is already filled with awesome jokes and secrets. If we could we would give this a 10/5.
