Community Insight:

We played untold, then red tide when it came out. We feel like each game just gets better and better. We love the Eldrum games/books. If you're into text adventures we highly recommend all 3.

We love this game actually we love all three of them but the problem and we do give this a five star. All three games are great. The only flaw with this is they all dont go together when it comes to the storylines so they dont continue like from the first game to the second game to the third game like all three different storylines and different kinda like a movie you know like say Mortal Kombat or you know all different movies have continuous storyline for one movie to another so like the first game should continue to the storyline to the second one and then the second one should continue to the third one that type of thing, its like all three games have separate storylines that dont make no sense that was only flaw, but all of all the things are great everything all the fighting things all the You know for people that are blind. Its blind accessible. Its everything its great. You guys doing good things for it. We hope you make more games. You know Elro games and stuff like that but the only thing is continue with the storyline from the first one to the second one to the third one make it a continuous storyline with all the stuff thats happened from the first one to the second one to the third one make it all build into one storyline, a continuous storyline thats the only flaw that this thing has basically.

We absolutely love all three games in the Eldrum series! Love the new combat system. We really hope to see a fourth installment in the future.

Much like the rest of the Eldrum series, both the gameplay and story are excellent. We could not recommend both this game and the other two more.

We have just von wish please add sound effects to the combat.

Really love this game. Urban gritty fantas? Ish? Its great. And amazing soundtrack.

Some games make sequels that arent good. These keep getting better.

Ive played both of the other Eldrum games and we are so glad theyve kept releasing them. Its hard to find something this high quality at all these days and its on MOBILE! We love it, the writing is always incredible and interesting, and the combat feels more streamlined now. We hope they keep on making more.

Everything about it is perfect. The storyline is very interesting. The background music is awesome. There are no ads. There is a whole system for weapons, armor, food, and the such worth every bit of the money.

The team really outdid themselves with Black Dust. We really enjoyed red tide (and Untold) and was excited for a new game but did not expect them to make such strides in the mechanics. Its awesome to get a fresh storyline as well! Im looking forward to seeing what comes next.

The previous game was very good. We loved it. This game is even better. The fighting/ability system is improved. We will say that the very beginning of the game was pretty confusing. Difficult also before we realized we needed more strength for higher encumbered limit.

This game is brilliant, well designed, and completely accessible for the blind. This gave us hours and hours of entertainment to go through the game once. We cant wait to play it again and again to experiment with all of the different weapons and Storey options. This is our first of the Eldrum games. We were a little shocked that it required a purchase to play, but its worth every cent. Now we have to go backwards and play the other two games. We hope they are half of black dust.

We know its still a early release, but it seems like the reward point system is a bit steeper And the fighting is a lot more difficult With stronger opponents Wish there would be a difficulty settings at least easy and hard.

Played it through, and the ending a couple times. It didnt feel as satisfying of an ending with their prior installments. You just.. Dont know about what happens to some of the side characters, and not quite as interesting or invested in them. However the music and themes were very enjoyable and the new concepts introduced we felt like make a more rewarding end game.

We love the Eldrum series but for Black Dust exp gain is beyond slow and Walled that ability is beyond broken.

There are many reasons for our love of this game including how accessible for the blind it is. The rpg works beautifully with voice over, and the music make it just that much better. We wish that there were more cities, and things to do in those cities. It would be greate to see school to improve your fighting abilities, or a doctor. The over all storyline is amazing though, keep up the greate work. And one quick question before we go, what determines your saves for when you die and need to go back.

This game continues the immersive tradition of its forebears but is broken at key spots. Time and time again, the player has to retighten battles over and over again hoping he can get lucky enough to prevail because all other options are closed to him. Deeply frustrated by the amount of time wasted on this tedium. The final battle is the worst of them all.

Ive played all the games in the series and, while they are all good, this latest installment is fantastic. Well done, devs.

Fun stories and action that keeps you wondering if youve made the right choices. All the Eldrum games are wonderfully engaging.

We have played previous two episodes of this game and we love them! We hope you keep making more! We love that the fighting has gotten a little more challenging and we love the games. Please keep making more of these! The game is very, very blind friendly.

Third of the Eldrum games, and somehow they keep getting better.

We really never do this, Im not that kind of gamer. We swear Im not easy, this is our first time doing this with a game. We just really love this game, and we want our first time to be with a game a truly love. So here goes, this is our review: its good.

Black Dust delivered for mesomeone unfamiliar with the previous games in the series and someone pretty demanding of storytelling in games. Story choices are immediately and consistently stat-and-build based. NPC interactions evolve based on choices and actions. And even seeming minor tweaks can and do result in major changes in outcomes. We strongly recommend. Like any game in this format, Black Dust also has limitations. Not every conceivable choice is available, and the third act feels a bit sudden and forced. In that third act, some big climactic fights become plodding and repetitive. On play through 1 1/2, we found ourselves wondering why we were wandering about with a stockpile of weapons and gems but nowhere to find meaningful upgrades (made it to Act Three on the first play through still wielding a 1 gold weapon from the second Pit fight, only to be presented with a full set of major weapon and armor upgrades!). But those are minor quibbles and Im excited for further playthroughs to explore different builds and factions. Well done.

Choice-driven narrative branching is nothing new. There are a smaller number of text adventures that create a tiny, tight puzzlebox that unfolds into gorgeous alternative shapes on the richer basis of stat progression. Life of a Wizard and Choice of Robots are among these. Meshing this rare style into a proper RPG is a daunting challenge. Hosted Games Lost Heir series tried, but being led through moment-by-moment choices in a very long game with no saves is not amenable to exploring the possibility space. Eldrum addressed that problem in two ways. 1. You have free map movement, and can defer and even revisit many challenges as you progress your stats. Black Dust leans into this more heavily than previous Eldrum titles, and its deeply satisfying. 2. You have a deep stack of both manual and automatic saves, allowing you to rework recent segments until youre happy with what youve achieved. That said, you certainly cant get all the content in a single playthrough. But in one playthrough you can explore and improve enough of a subspace of a game that you wont feel compelled to repeat your previous run with minor tweaks. You can allow your second (and third and) playthrough to be quite different. The series combat system has always been ambitious. This iteration commits to training you on the different build options with dedicated puzzle fights in the pit and the arena. It works, and combat customization is a more balanced experience this time around. Although, we will say, the balance between gearing stats for a particular combat build versus for exploration/narrative branching remains a pleasing conundrum.

First time writing a review so not much to expect from us but the story driving this game is very indepth if you really connect all the pieces together. The combat is nice too, it is turnbased but with more actions: maybe something like grim. There are a few bugs here and there but they have mostly all been fixed.

Black dust is the third in the series of Eldrum games and you can tell they did not sit on their laurels from the previous two. Black dust has only grown from its predecessors with more of Eldrums amazing story telling and the introduction of classes. It has only further enhanced its combat and secrets for players to find. Definitely one of the best text based games Ive played on any medium.

The amount of choice is much denser than the other 2 Eldrum games.
