Player Experience Highlights

Community Insight:

We were impressed by the first game, untold, but red tide blew us away!! These are the best text rpg adventure games Ive ever found on mobile. Not clunky or cluttered, very smooth and streamlined. Simplistic and elegant. Well thought out world and story. Honestly, every part of this game is perfect. We look forward to more games in Tem Khiris in the future. It would be nice if the next game was a bit longer. Dont get us wrong, the length of this game is perfect. Hours of play time and unlimited replaying potential. Ive just become a nerd for this world and would love to experience more of it.

This game is truly amazing. The story, the gameplay, and everything really. Just a small suggestion to the combat system. We wish there were sound effects each time we attack or get attacked. Similar to what you did in untold, but with improvements, of course. We didnt really like the combat system, in untold , but we do have to admit that the sound effects in the game were good enough to be acknowledged at least. Thanks again for a wonderful game such as this, and keep up the good work.

We play and buy a tremendous amt of gamessince the app store opened. This game has replayability, is challenging and a great way to fully escape for a few minutes or hours. Recommend this and their first title! Cant wait for more!!! Game Devstake note.

Ive been through quite a few text adventures lately and none of them have captured us the way this one has. The story is intriguing, the characters are engaging, there is plenty of dialogue and enough action with the fights to keep it interesting. We like it enough to purchase the rest of the game, which we believe is well worth the $7. The demo is pretty lengthy, more than enough time to make a decision.

We really enjoyed our journey. We were hesitant to purchase at first so we ended up playing the demo a few times. We took different routes, acquired new loot, and came to the conclusion that this many alternative outcomes in the demo alone was worth the purchase and it definitely was!! We just made it to the end and we are certain that this was just one of many possible outcomes. Its so well written, too. All around, we were (am) very impressed! Good job guys! A++.

First off, we really love this game. Ive quite never left a review on a mobile game so, we hope this speaks volumes. Ive played the game about 8 times now and tried several different routes. Despite how frequently Ive played, we dont find ourselves growing bored. However, every time that Ive played we havent been able to defeat the lady w/ the birds or the demon who requests meat (forgive us as Ive forgotten their names). We are confused as to whether this is a design choice to make them unbeatable or if theyre simply far too unbalanced. Either way, this leaves us somewhat annoyed as a perfectionist when it comes to choice based games. Regardless, this is a truly phenomenal game and it was well worth the purchase :).

Game balance is extremely broken. Like, extremely broken.

Words cannot express our love for this game. We loved the first one and when this came out we were so excited. We loved all the new stories and people we could meet in this world. We loved the allusion to the previous game with the paintings of the mantis and mentions of your own character from the previous game. To learn of how you continued to fight back even after you finished the game. We cannot wait to see what they do next.

This is definitely worth it!! Perfect balance of its different elements.

We just finished chapter 1. Full price of game is $7 we believe. Definitely worth it. This has been one of the most engrossing story/narrative focused phone games Ive ever played. Good combination of narrative that makes you really part of the environment as well as turn based gameplay. Update: finished the game. Guessing about 15-20 hours? Wow that was quite good. Just sad that its over. Please make a sequel.

This game was wonderful, a lot like a well written choose your own adventure book. End came too quickly, replaying again.

We like the layout and the fight mechanic better than the previous title. Big improvement in our opinion. The story is a few hours long but we are sure you can drag it out hunting down all the little secrets. We honestly dont think it was worth the money to buy but we hope we get more content for it or long story. We will play again when we have forgotten the story. Maybe change the way we fight and search the areas. Overall great game.

So there were some really good things with this sequel from the first game that being the world felt bigger there was more locations and more stuff to do which we really liked we like the atmosphere things we like the whole soldier thing getting to see a different part of the world and a different viewpoint it was all really good but stuff that made us really annoyed and made the game on fun for us was it didnt feel like we had a real choice because some of the fights were so unbalanced and hard somewhere really easy but a lot were really hard in situations it just felt like we didnt have any choice but to do one option that made us get through also the weapons you get arent very strong compared to the enemies at the end of the game we were maybe doing a 18 damage finding a really good weapon while everyone else could do a lot more damage to us and can we just say one of the most annoying things was enemies crating it felt like they got to crit more a lot more than we did but also why do enemies get to crit us for 60 to 70 damage all the time but we could never crit more than around 20 damage it was so unbalanced and so unfair we got crit multiple times for 60 to 70 hopefully things will be more balanced in newest update.

The immersion of this mostly text based adventure is great. It is short for our taste, but there are many secrets to work out. There are multiple solutions to problems. For a minor spoiler: to get past the 1st part you need a team of 4 people to guard a caravan. You can hire mercenaries, get the militia to help, get knights to help, or find 4 on your own. We have been able to find 3 of the 4. Im guessing the 4th was someone who didnt want to go because our Charisma wasnt high enough to convince. It doesnt change much, just adds a footnote to the end stories. Based off our experience, if you want to wear most equipment, a strength of 5 is sufficient. Perception should be around 5 to hit really annoying enemies. Ranged weapons are a godsend. Especially when the strong enemy is behind a wall of 3 weaker ones. Just fire at back row. Front will do negligible damage, if any. After they are dealt with, swap to melee and enjoy. Also, the most valuable item you can find is the lock pick. It will open many doors (and chests) for you. Im currently trying to figure out how to placate a demon. Im sure it will take multiple tries to see what he wants. We had fish, forgot to bring dog meat. Looking forward to trying and failing before we hit the help Im stuck button.

So at first this seemed very promising. It was a good story and your choices actually mattered. Then it comes time where the free story ends and you have to pay. Okay.we ended up buying the full game and we wish we hadnt. We were severely disappointed at how it ended. Sitting here spending all this time making choices and planning, only to find that all the good and materials you collect at the end literally mean nothing. When it comes time for the final fight and choices, it legit was one of the worst endings there was. We had finally collected enough coin and such to actually make a difference, and then it goes into the final battle where you dont have any warning or any hints about it being the last one. Then it comes and goes and you have all this script and writing. Instead of writing that all out, we would have actually enjoyed playing through it instead of reading about it. We would not recommend that you but the full game. It seriously isnt worth it and will leave you disappointed.

Tbh was a little upset about the paywall but it was a great game with an interactive story, was a little confusing on what to do at some points but we hope to see more games like this one.

When browsing through the App Store its hard to find a game that keeps you genuinely entertained and interested. Usually we download a game and delete it after a week. This game has made the nostalgia of the first come washing back over us while maintaining a unique presence of its own. We spent an hour sitting in the cold yesterday just playing it waiting for a friend to pick us up. The story is even more deep and intricate than the first, with an act 1, that if reveals anything about the rest of the game, will make you ever more excited to play for hours on end. Im really happy with this game and am jubilated that the developers truly care to put the time in to make it an amazing second addition to the series.

While the game was slightly more expensive, the depth of the world was way more massive. The improved combat system is also more realistic (where you cant instantly heal with opium during a fight). As always, these types of games we love for their simplicity and role playing (and long battery life). Keeping making great games.

Thank you a game thats finally different and interesting! We always loved novels and mangas so its really exciting to feel apart of the story! We keep playing different ways to see if the outcome will change and its amazing.

Ive beaten the game twice, the game is smooth and surprisingly fun. Definitely a game that can make time go by very quick. Killed a demon, who is almost impossible to kill, in our opinion you guys should make some adjustments to Bahemot. Took us hours to kill him. We only got lucky. Overall good game! Should expand it more. Put more acts or something. Also in the future, yall should make a online multiplayer open world type style. Thats just an idea anyways love the game, keep up the work.

We bought the full game. Its worth every penny. We cant stop playing. Thank you.

No complaints, simply a great story rich game.

We love this game. Our only problem is that when enemies get shields their chance to block is at least double what the shield chance displays, whereas when the player has those same shields, its just the displayed value. And all enemies have absurd evade chances. Just reloading a save works fine but gets old after the 30th retry of a fight against an enemy that just keeps getting lucky. Awesome game though and much more to find than the first game with much better replay ability.

Iv always liked reading plus using our device but this game adds the two, this is the first game that iv played that makes us read in a game, we would like it if we didnt have to play.

We hate reading. It has never been something we enjoy. But this game (and the other Eldrum games) changes all that. The interactive story is gripping. Its challenging, but not overly so. Reminds us of old text RPGs from when we were a kid. Highly recommend. We cant wait to play Black Dust after. Then play through all the games again with different choices to see alternate events and endings. Worth the money and the time.

Recently got a kick for story based games and this one has sucked us in the most. The story is very compelling and makes you want to continue on your adventure. We dont want to spoil anything so we wont get into details but it is 100% worth your time and attention.

This is one of if not the best game on the App Store.

We bought the full game. Its worth every penny. We cant stop playing. Thank you.

Compared to other games like this, this game strikes a great balance of story and systems. Other games feel either too invested in numerous gameplay systems, or so invested in story that you are practically reading a book. Highly recommend.

We love this game! Its so much fun and we are totally blind and this is such a great accessible game! Reminds us of the old-school choose your own adventure, but it has different attributes to it that we love. The first game is really great as well and Im looking forward to the third game. Thanks so much.

When we first downloaded this game, we were a bit skeptical, as we remember having problems with untold, the first game in the series. Its been a long time, but from what we can remember, untold was too linear for our taste and also had annoying glitches when it came to saving. Once we started playing this though, we were hooked. First of all, this installment in the series is not linear at all. Its almost open world, with a map that allows you to freely explore all kinds of different areas.combat is very interesting, with a turn based system mostly focused on gear. Its really fun to try out different weapon, armor, and shield combinations to test out the different battle strategies. As for story, the world is very intricate and well developed, with so much lore to get lost in. The amazing writing and suspenseful background music really helps us get into the mind of our character, making us feel that Im actually there. Its not too overly complicated though, and the quest tab provides summaries of the most important information in case you forget. Theres also full on books in the game which you can read from your inventory screen. They had this in the first game too, but these seem to be even more detailed and realistic. We can tell the developers put a lot of time and effort into this, and Im especially thankful to them for making it accessible to the blind. Its quite difficult to find good games to play as a screen reader user, and this one meets all the requirements for being completely accessible. While combat in the first game was a bit difficult, trying to tap the buttons in time using voiceover, this one is turn based, so that stress has entirely gone away. Thanks for adding another amazing RPG to the roster of games blind people like us can play.

Still playing in the beginning of the game. Similar to Untold (first one) in that you make various choices, fight enemies, equip gear, level up, and pick stats to level. Also, NO IAP. NO Gacha !!! Just a free demo and then purchase the whole game. Some major differences compared to the first. First of all, it is more turn based so you dont just mash the button the whole time. Speed still matters for turn order though. Also, youll face multiple enemies at once this time around and they appear as an image on screen. Story wise, it picks up right where Untold leaves off but with a totally different character. Theres a matter of reputation with different factions now so youll have to take that into account when making choices. Im really happy with it so far. And we cant thank the developers enough for keeping it in portrait mode. It is a must for us. Oh, and we think its awesome that they provide a free demo to play through the first part of the game. Its a great way to try it out to make sure you like it. We plan on playing this one like we did the first installment. Im going to play it all the way through without any help and then play it a second time following the guide. Hopefully they have a great guide like they did with Untold. Go enjoy this game! Its a free demo so you have nothing to lose.

Very accessible for blind people a great interactive story.Love the combat.

This game is even more enthralling than Eldrum: Untold! A wonderful continuation of the series.

This game is great at what it does we are in love with it you start off weak and gain stats and you can even notice you get stronger as you start cleaving threw enemies easily we have redone this about 5 times and still haven found all the severest aka the main one is the church Im still looking for anything else in the starting area expect the litttle orb that makes two new weapons at the end of the game.

Stands among the best gamebooks ever written, just as good as any created back in the 1980s and 90s.

Great game. Very entertaining and engaging.

Red Tide vastly improves on the systems first laid out by its predecessor, Untold, while still keeping the trademark minimalistic style and stellar writing. One thing that sets this game apart from not only Untold, but other IOS text-based rpgs, is the superb atmosphere. This world is bleak. The people of this world are without hope and the land is dying. At every turn, a new discovery will grant useful treasure, but not without a truly haunting revelation. The sky bleeds. Doom upon Tem Khiris.

Thank you so much for creating this game and wonderful experience it brings!!! We have to say this is truly one of the kind of game! The characters, plots, music, and action is top of the notch!!!! Thank you so much for making it.

We never write reviews but we truly believe that this game is worth our time writing a review. It is one of the best games we have played before. We recommend it to anyone who is looking for a great experience.

The Eldrum series is the most immersive story-oriented RPG experience on iOS. The story actually branches, and there are detailed effects both small and large as you go through the game. The UI and gameplay is also streamlined to what matters and is a joy to play.

Outstanding RPG, with tons of play ability.

More build variety and unique ways to tackle every problem for every build. Not sure how it isnt more popular.

Having played through the first Eldrum and enjoying it thoroughly, expectations were high for the second iteration. We were not disappointed. The writing is professional, the descriptions are exceptional and the combination of those descriptions and the wonderful artwork and haunting music have created an unforgettable adventure.

This game is captivatingly beautiful. Our first play through got us hooked because the story is amazing, we were genuinely shocked at how much the story can change based on choices making the game have high replay ability. The optional bosses are a challenge and add an extra aspect to the game. If you are swayed by the idea of it being a Demo at first, dont be. Just try it out. Even if you were to only play the first act the story is well worth it and there is a lot of secrets to uncover :).

We like the story and mechanics. Maybe too many choices. Only wish battles damage didnt seem so random.

We prefer the other combat system and the storyline was more fluid in the other game, this was fun though we will have multiple play throughs.

Again and again. Our previous games we beat into the ground have been Shattered:Pixel Dungeon and Fallout Shelter. Red Tide is replayable because there are so many ways to weave the story together. We joined the Discord to find a few answers, but there are so many ways to play it – take nothing for granted and just have fun! We have found our best ending (so far), but now trying different stats and weapon setups. Woohoo.

We played the prequel to this game, which was fun, but this game is a step up. We replayed it twice already (trying to unlock different endings). We enjoyed the story and hope a third game will come out in the future.

"This game is truly amazing. The story, gameplay, and everything else are really impressive. We have a small suggestion regarding the combat system though. It would be great if there were sound effects every time we attack or get attacked, just like what you did in your previous game 'Untold', but with some improvements. Although we wasn't a big fan of the combat system in 'Untold', we have to admit that the sound effects in the game were good enough to be acknowledged. Overall, thank you for creating such a wonderful game, and please keep up the good work." ,.
