What Makes Fill-a-Pix: Minesweeper Puzzle Stand Out
Find which neighboring squares must be painted and create a beautiful picture! Each puzzle consists of a grid containing clues in various places. The object is to reveal a hidden picture by painting the squares around each clue so that the number of painted squares, including the square with the clue, matches the value of the clue.
Fill-a-Pix are exciting logic puzzles that form whimsical pixel-art pictures when solved. Challenging, deductive and artistic, this original Conceptis puzzle offers the ultimate mix of logic, art and fun while providing solvers with many hours of mentally stimulating entertainment.
The game features a unique fingertip cursor which enables playing large puzzle grids with ease and precision: to fill a square, move cursor to the desired location and tap anywhere on the screen. To fill multiple squares, press and hold fingertip until cursor fills the square and start dragging to neighboring squares. The game also features a powerful Smart-fill cursor for quick, single-tap filling of all remaining empty squares around a clue.
To help see the puzzle progress, graphic previews in the puzzle list show the progress of all puzzles in a volume as they are being solved. A Gallery view option provides these previews in a larger format.

Of all the Conceptis games we play, this one is our favorite. It exercises our brain without adding any stress with time limits, counting errors, etc. We find it is a great stress reliever when we need to take our mind off something else. We appreciate the free weekly puzzles (all Conceptis games have this feature) but will purchase a pack from time to time when we want more to play. We love that there is no pressure to purchase; they are just there when youre ready.

We dont know why they decided to change it, but changing the Fix Errors feature to Clear Errors? Why? We have been playing this game for years and that feature has helped us many times, especially as our eye glass prescriptions have changed over time. A better, more helpful change would be to make the Show Errors results easier to see. Changing this useful function after all these years is just ridiculous. Please chance it back.
This game is absolutely amazing, no ads, free hints, has a full introductory guide on how to solve the puzzles on both basic and advanced levels, etc. One thing we would recommend, and this is only a personal preference, would be to offer a mistake correction that doesn't just fix it or show it. Considering there's only two options a square could be, it feels like a little like a cheat. For many people, the automatic correction is great. Us, we feel pride when we've done something without using any hints. So perhaps a hint enhancement option (that you can enable/disable) in which it clears the 3×3 square the mistake is surrounded in. That way users can rework that area to properly solve it without feeling like you're cheating and can feel freshly accomplished in the end. Other than that suggestion, we absolutely adore this game and it helps us remain calm throughout college.

This game is very hard, but we like the challenge. We find it best to check your work every few moves. Once you one mistake, then they multiply.
There is an issue with the unmarked tiles being nearly impossible to see on large nearly complete puzzles. This is due to the fact that there's very subtle grey shading on the tiles marked with an X. When you are looking at a sea of light-shaded tiles, a single white tile becomes invisible. Developer refuses to update the game by giving players the option to have unmarked tiles a different color. It would be such a simple fix, and would be such a huge improvement.

This is a fun and unique puzzle game! There are various difficulty; you can choose what suits your mood. Challenging, relaxing, your choice. One free puzzle a week. If you want more, they provide bunch of sets of puzzles for reasonable prices ($2 – $8 for 20 puzzles depending on the difficulty). There is no ads at all. Not like other free apps, no data is link to you. Your identity is safe. If you like this game, Id recommend checking out other games from this company. They are fun too.
This game comes with several free packs to try it out. This alone lasts a good while. After that, they have tons of packs to buy. From 99 to $5.99. Each pack has 20 puzzles. Bigger puzzles cost more. And take longer. It can be hard sometimes, especially with the bigger puzzles, but you get unlimited hints and error checking. Theres 0 ads just a simple screen and you are set.

Seriously, soooooo much content, without paying anything. Great when you dont have wifi to idle on social media. Just crack out a huge one of these and itll last you forever. Plus its not hard and you can fix errors/get hints very easily.

Our brain gets a workout with this game. We like but we think Im losing our eyesight playing it.
Logic puzzles with simple goals, but use complex patterns to accomplish them, are favourites of ours. Fill-A-Pix certainly qualifies. The only issue we have is that there is no "Hint" help- something that shows a new player some simple steps that will work on the puzzle being played. A cool addition would be a 'find-solved' option that shows you a nine-grid that has all the blacks or all the whites done and just needs to be completed. Would really help when a complex picture seems to be done, but has a couple of pixels still untouched.

We were originally annoyed by this apps interface to the extent that our original review only gave it one star but Ive gotten used to it and the app has greatly improved since then in any event. Nice selection of puzzles as well. In fact, our major remaining complaint is that there are so many puzzle packs available that the store could do with a search function… Which we see that it in fact has now. Nice.
We enjoy the challenge of the puzzles, but the finished pictures dont do much for us. Sometimes even with the title provided we cant see what is depicted.
Another Conceptis app, another request to review, despite saying No virtually countless times. Why even give us the option to say No if it literally means nothing, and youre just gonna keep asking?? Edit: Lol it just asked again. For like the 10th time. Developer said It hAs tO AsK wHeNeVeR ThErEs An uPdAtE but NONE of our other 300+ apps ever have this problem. Only Conceptis apps. We love how there are no ad interruptions and there is plenty of content before a paywall occurs. Lovely game and lovely developers too, we really enjoy most of their games. The longer you play the more things pop out to you, make sure to take breaks with the big puzzles.
We really enjoy the varied logic puzzles. There are so many to choose from, a free one every week and reasonable subscription prices. And little hints help keep you going in the super hard ones.
