Great storyline and nice mixture of hidden object scenes. No problems (Hooray!) Overall a very enjoyable game with Great character voices. This is a good mystery/adventure! Looking very forward to the sequel. Thank You, Big Fish KdBoots.

Why bother? That’s what we thought at first. So many reviewers were complaining that the game was terribly glitchy! What were they playing on, a Nintendo DS? We had very few problems, was able to complete the game, and the bonus chapter as well. It was, once again a great Eipix experience. Magnificent graphics, cut-scenes that felt like you were back in the Roaring Twenties, tons of locations. Pretty quick loading time! The HO scenes were varied, and there were lots of fun and different puzzles. There were puzzles within puzzles too. We loved the plus objects, which you had to find other objects in order to use them. There was a teleport map, which worked fine. For the people saying the map didn’t work, we don’t think they realized that you might have to use the projector to enter a movie scene to see where there were tasks! Inventory was labeled, and they said what it was when you received an item. The hint did not ruin anything for you. The game was lengthy and had a bonus chapter! One of our favorite in the series. We think for the nincompoops with issues, check the following advice: first make sure your iOS is current. Then close all apps still running. Thirdly, turn off your tablet and reboot it. Then trying playing! When nothing went wrong for us, we thought we were in the Twilight Zone. No, just other people! Oh, yeah, a couple of mice but NO RATS! Always a bonus. The only issue was that you had to go to the menu to access the diary, which wasn’t that great, and the map. They could have had tabs on the screen as per usual. Great game, Eipix and BigFish! Btw, everyone, if you haven’t played the new G5 game, Alice’s Journey, it’s by Artifex Mundi, who is known for flawless gameplay! Great game! We wish they brought out games as often as BigFish! The G5 games tend to run a lot smoother! To our wonderful team, and good luck with taxes (personally, we don’t pay them, thank God for our boyfriend) but we know they are a pain and we deserve a great game from BigFish , like a 4th Empress! We wish big tax refunds to go to Snooper, Bunkie, Nambr, Dracyy, Moonbeam, Hossie, Blueflier, and of course Lil’Jo! Also to those reviewers who like us and our acerbic wit! To the rest of you, we hope you pay through the nose! LOL!

We almost didn’t even try this game because of the reviews. We liked the previous Final Cuts though, so gave it a go. Glad we did – we are pretty far into the game and have had NO problems. Good story line, good voice overs and – so far – completely bug free!

We read all of the posted reviews, and almost did not even download this game. But we had SO enjoyed the previous offerings in this series we decided to give the trial a chance. However, we ran out of time to buy the game at its introductory price, so we had a dilemma: buy it, and most likely end up with a lemon as the reviews overwhelmingly stated, or pass. Well, we bought it. We have an iPad Air, with iOS 8.1. And no, we don’t have any connection with Big Fish! Believe it or not, we had NOT OBEY problem with this game!! It never kicked us out, the diary had no problems with overlapped wording, it was smooth as glass! It was a great game, and we enjoyed it immensely. We don’t know why so many had problems? Maybe an older iPad? Maybe not enough memory? Maybe an older iOS? Maybe some other settings that made it crash? We don’t know, but we were totally surprised that we had no problems, and we loved the game! We will certainly buy the next installment, which we hope comes out, because with all of the negative reviews it may not sell enough to warrant another chapter? For us, and we have had our share of games that did not work, it was as smooth and trouble-free as any HO game we have ever played!

Great game, but had difficulty figuring out how to solve puzzles. Did not know how to arrange blocks around picture. Know explanation in guide either.

We’re sort of glad we downloaded this early or we probably wouldn’t of after reading all the new reviews. Odd, we didn’t have any crash or diary issues as so many others did. We’re on an iPad 2 with iOS 8.1.3. Our game ran flawless and the diary looked fine. The load screen was a bit long but Id much prefer that over long scene transitions. We were really excited to see another Final Cut game. This is right up our alley. Intriguing story, interesting HO scenes and challenging mini games – and no mythical creatures! Set in the 20s, the story includes film projectors that transport you to different movie scenes that the nutty director created for you. Really well done, original and creative. This is exactly the ideas we like to see. We even liked the old timey detective style background music. Some minor issues – even on expert mode there are far too many glints, especially in HO scenes. We don’t need our hand held that much. The map was a bit confusing but the hint system worked well for location points so we didn’t really need it. Thanks Eipix, keep these coming!

And good story line, will buy sequel!

Awesome look forward to next week.

Extremely creative! Especially the HOP’s. There were surprises and twists within the HOP’s. There are clever layers within layers regarding the game and clues. We were happy when the game did not end quickly like so many do. This game designer makes the other games seem to be two dimensions by comparison. We hope to purchase many more games in the future by this designer. . .

This is one of the best hidden objects games we’ve played in awhile. It has a great story and graphics, super fun!

We didn’t get very far , but enjoyed what we got done, we are going to get the full version.

This is a better challenge than the "Hope Diamond" challenge, can’t wait to continue. Neat story line and excellent graphics.

We loved the first final cut. This one reminds us of that one because the music is the same and we are able to go back and forth between an older and newer set. We just want to say when you exit allow the game time to finish loading before exiting.

Good story. Games are varied but could be a little more demanding. Software moves well. But it got stuck. We got the Dock address card and put it on the visor but the game didn’t recognize that it was there. We had to delete the game and start over. We were glad we enjoy the game since we had to start over. We hope it doesn’t get stuck again.

It’s too bad that most of the crashes and glitches happened in the beginning. We can see where you’d not want to buy this. But we love the Final Cut series, mainly because of the beautiful Art Deco scenery, so we took a chance. We’re glad we did. First mini-game glitch was with the cue ball game. Ball #1 disappeared and we could not finish it. Just pushed SKIP. The second mini-game glitch came in the train station evidence board. Connect the top 3 pictures first, before connecting the rest. If you wait and connect the top one last, the game cannot finish. If that happens, just push SKIP. (This glitch was repeatable at the end where you can choose to play the mini-games again). After that, the game played flawlessly all the way to the end. The bonus play is long and excellent. There is a souvenir room where you can look for more objects, and you can replay the HOPs and puzzles again. There were several crashes during the game, but just close it out (double-click HOME button and swipe up), then reopen the game. Your progress will not be lost. We look forward to the next installment of Final Cut and hope that they test it better than they tested this one.

The scenery and plot are very good and we enjoy this series from EIPIX the best! You lots of HOG and puzzles weren’t so difficult that you couldn’t enjoy. We would not ever use the 3 in a row but some may enjoy that option.

Greetings, Gamers: UPDATE: Like reviewer sicamore6, we too had our diary bug clear up, but ours was out of the blue! After we wrote a bad review we went back in to play up until purchase point… And the danger diary was straightened out! Bizarre but we’ll take it! So, we’re upgrading to 4 stars. We love everything about the game except for the fact that some puzzles don’t have reset buttons and the SG doesn’t show the thought process behind certain puzzles’ solutions. Otherwise, way to go, EIPIX! Yup, we went ahead and bought this one. END OF UPDATE… Just as another reviewer has already pointed out, this game is virtually unplayable because the diary is screwed up. Don’t worry about getting ripped off after you’ve paid; this major malfunction shows up early in the game. At least we didn’t throw away money on this one. Too bad, seems it could’ve been an okay game otherwise. We don’t know what in the hell is happening to Bigfish’s QC here lately, but we’re losing our enthusiasm for playing these games, much less buying them. The free trial is about all our endurance can take. Shouts to fellow faves and gamers in general. May the out-of-the-blue stars light your way.

We really liked this game. We played it through to the bonus game without any problems. The map is a little hard to find but once we found it everything was okay. The puzzles were great. We like the option to play a match 3 game instead of HO scenes. Even the match 3 games were great.

Fans of the Final Cut series will be thrilled with this installment. Your fathers projector is back in play – merging movie with reality. You must stop the mad man behind the movies. Layout is logical, HO scenes well drawn but some are small. Has map etc. Not one fairy dragon or hint of magic anywhere so for fans of the less story book type of games you will probably enjoy this whole series.

Fun but was to easy even with out help.

We loved all the different scenes and locations. The graphics were good and the storyline entertaining. Unlike some reviewers we had no trouble with bugs or crashes. The only thing we didn’t care for were the shadow HOS, there were far too many of these and being we play on an IPad they were hard to make out. The outlines weren’t even exact. Other than that , we thoroughly enjoyed the game.

Though we played this on our Mac we will not purchase it again nor play it again. Don’t recall if there were any Rats L/M sorry about last game but wrote review before we played the bonus chapter. By the time we went back Bunkie already had her warning up for you. Since we’re not playing this on our iPad will not review other than to say it was a good game on our Mac. Big shout out and lol and prayers to all. Snooper-158ps will be doing income taxes so if you don’t see us for awhile that’s why!

This is one of our favourite series. Love the Art Deco decor, the plot line, and the different types of puzzles. But… It kept crashing on us when the screen changed and a out half way through the skip and hint button no longer worked. Has a map but it’s not an especially good one through most of the game.

Story and graphics are great as usual, but…….. Many glitches. Began with no instructions in the wooden tile picture and Pyramids puzzle. In the Hieroglyphics the word ‘object’ says ‘obje60%’ Came back to play on the boat. Had several objects in inventory but had to find them again. Then after this chapter, it took us back to previous chapter to start it again….? Usually BFG is pretty thorough before a game is released. Missed the mark BIG TIME on this. Using iPad iOS 8.1.3 if it helps.

For the price we had to pay for it wasn’t worth the game. Graphics was okay.

We like the graphics and story line a lot probably because mysteries are more fun than fairies. We didn’t have all the glitches that others reported but had to skip some puzzles (which we never do) because e.g. Impossible to put the paint at bottom of flower. Taps you out of scene. All bugs should be fixed before release. You don’t buy clothes at the store partly finished or food already open.

Frustrated again!!! Restarted the game from the beginning, now the car will not go to the docks. More frustration!!!

This game is more challenging then we expected. We are really enjoying it.

The story line is cool, however it constantly crashes. Also crashes every time we try to open the diary. Need a few bugs to be fixed before we think about purchasing.

We are really enjoying this game! Then we run into a lockup in the dark room. The evidence board will not reset, so we cannot go any further!! The hint button doesn’t work either. How does a person contact the support group?

It’s an ok game. We don’t like the fact that there is no zoom feature for several of the HOP’s. When playing on an iPad zoom is a must.

*** our review below was fixed after completely restarting our iPad. We never have to do this with games anymore, but we should’ve tried it first before writing a bad review complaining of a bug. Nevertheless, we’re only raising our review by 1 star from 2 to 3, because even though we finished and somewhat enjoyed the game, the mystery was obvious from the start and the puzzles were so easy, probably the easiest we’ve seen, and were no fun because of that. When opening the diary to read the clues, there are sentences superimposed over the new clue. So every page has multiple paragraphs laying on top of each other, making it impossible to read each new clue! And now a new photo is laying on the bottom half of the new clue and won’t go away or move to the side like the first two photos did. (This all started when you get to the pirate scene trying to help Frank the gardener). Please Big Fish, do your QUALITY CONTROL before releasing these ports over to iPad. We know they originated as PC games, but just because they worked great on PC, doesn’t mean you shouldn’t have testers go through the new iPad port before you release it. We’ve paid for this already and can’t play it.

Game keeps closing. We’ve had to restart three times. Also, the hint button doesn’t work. We have the other two games in this series and enjoyed them.

It’s just o.k. We enjoyed the last final cut so much more. A little disappointed.

We really want to like this game but the bugs are frustrating and needs fixing.

Love this series but game keeps crashing. After one crash we were brought back into the game with our progress lost, a key item from a previous scene gone, and no way to go back and retreive it. Had to start the entire game over.

We are having a problem with the hint and skip button. Cannot use.

Not to say it crashed. However we were in the final scenes and exited for the night. When we started the game it appeared to have taken us back a few steps. No, it had taken us back almost half the game. Tried rebooting the iPad as suggested. Nope. All that time gone.

Not liking this game to much, it freezes and is plain bore.! We will delete it now.!

This is the second Big Fish HO mystery in a row that we are unable to complete! We’re tired of wasting our money! The Chapter 4 (X) wall painting puzzle is flawed and won’t let us play. The pieces disappear as we try and substitute them. We can’t progress! We’ve tried restarting many times. Frustrated and disappointed. We thought Big Fish games were supposed to be better than this?

We really want to buy this game, if you fix the bugs.. It keeps crashing.

This game would be a nice one if it didn’t CRASH ALL THE TIME!!!

The game has some nice features but crashes are disconcerting.

Well, it’s been fixed and doesn’t keep crashing anymore, but…. We have yet to find one game in the Final Cut series that we enjoy. We don’t like the switching of scenes through the camera. We just find it annoying. The graphics aren’t great, so identifying items is difficult. Not being able to skip scenes is annoying, too. We don’t care what the characters are saying! Anyway, not for us. We really dislike this series.

We love Big Fish & buy just about every hidden object game released but lately they’ve been a little shoddy! One of them just suddenly restarted at the beginning after I’d made it to almost the end, another one freezes on the unlock now screen, & now this one won’t even open! We can’t even get to all the crashes IN the game that everybody else is complaining about!! We choose the game icon, it opens for a split second on a black screen, & then kicks us back to the desktop!! It’s REALLY REALLY ANNOYING!!! Please fix soon!!

We’re sick and tired when games hints are not hints. And "Let’s stroll along is one lousy hint!" Stop being so lazy!

Plus, it crashes with astonishing frequency. We’ve already requested a refund.
