A Glimpse into Forget-Me-Not – GameClub

Run around the infinite, ever changing corridors of the NEON DUNJUN, gathering flowers and shooting everything.

Procedurally generated, screen-wrapping, destructible mazes. Tiny little pixel graphics and zappy retro sound effects.

This game pays homage to the classic maze game genre that took arcades by storm in the early 1980s. Each stage challenges you to navigate a maze and collect all of the flowers laying around. Once you do, a locked door will appear. Pick up the key and bring it to the door to move on to the next level, where things get a little harder. It seems easy, but a wide range of creatures inhabit these mazes, each with minds of their own.

Some of them like to steal the key. Others just like to fight. Some will steal the flowers for themselves. They’ll get in your way, but they’ll also sometimes clash with each other. You’ll have to learn how to predict what they’ll do if you want to go far. You’re far from defenseless yourself. You can dispatch other creatures by shooting at them, or take them down by mastering the special charge attack. Just be careful you don’t shoot yourself in the back!

Forget-Me-Not features lots of different modes of play so that there’s always a new challenge to tackle. See how many points you can earn in the Standard mode, mix up the difficulty in Shuffle mode, tackle special daily mazes in Seed mode, last as long as you can in Survival mode, or take on the never-ending waves of foes in Arena mode. Best of all, you can play any of these modes together with a friend on one device! Your best scores in each mode will be recorded, giving you something to shoot for each time you play. Forget-Me-Not is an unforgettable arcade game with plenty of strategy!

  • Classic Style: Navigate the mazes and pick up all of the flowers!
  • Simple Controls: Just swipe in any direction to move and turn!
  • Intense Strategy: Every creature has a mind of its own, so make your moves carefully!
  • Deep Scoring System: You’ll need to master lots of techniques to rack up the points!
  • Grind and Charge: Lean into the walls of the maze to charge up a powerful attack!
  • Tons of Modes: Five different modes and multiple levels of difficulty keep things fresh!
  • Play with a Friend: You can play any of the modes on one device with a friend! Will you help or hinder each other?

Game club literally took the game and ruined it with subscriptions. This game used to be fun to play back when you collect the flowers to unlock other game modes but oh no you have to pay for them now. Game club is a joke and is literally EA under a different name.

… It was bought, originally, as a one time purchase. The sale and subsequent subscription revenue model for game club are a deal breaker for us. Not because we object to subscribing, outright, but because of the sense of a broken promise. Once sold as an indefinite license, it should remain an indefinite license. We have a budget for subscriptions and Im not spending that budget on anything that breaks a promise. Because … Why would I? The number one issue with subscription models is trust, and if the trust is already broken from the outset, thats a problem. There are ways to rework this such that purchasers of the original game arent forced into the subscription. Its implementable in the AppStore, and we’ve seen it work. This then constitutes an unforced error on Game Clubs part, having purchased it from the former developer.

This was such a unique game and Im glad to see its not lost to time.

So nice to see this back on the App Store and updated for new devices and operating systems. If you bought this back in the day, like all GameClub games, you can download and play it without joining the service. You will need to create an account but they cant charge you.

We LOVED this game on our old iPad, so was thrilled to see it updated in the App Store, and to see that early customers are able to unlock access to it…. Much appreciated. Its a great game for picking up here and there as a boredom buster.

Update: WE DID IT BRANDON!!! We were fortunate enough to have come across an article that had mentioned this game as one of the Best iOS Games Ever. The article was absolutely right but, unfortunately, 6 years has passed from it’s release and billions of other games dawning the retro theme have been piled on since. Nevertheless, Forget. Us. Not is THE quintessential retro game for iOS and could possibly be the best ever in the history of the App Store. If you can imagine a gun wielding Pac Man in search of a key amongst the Ghosts who have many different cousins including a dungeon altering wizard… You’ll understand the gameplay. The game itself is truly an experience that hearkens back to the quarter dropping days with all of it’s neon-pixelated beauty, heart-pounding blips ‘n’ bleeps, and frantic levels. Multiple game modes and simultaneous two-player (on iPad AND iPhone) is an incredible bonus adding UNLIMITED gameplay. We especially love the fact that the two-player mode can be played competitively or cooperatively depending on the players’ strategy. This game really is THE reigning retro champion! ***With this said, I’d like to request that this game be updated and respectfully featured please. This game deserves it and so does it’s loyal fans.

Do u know the funny thing is? We can shoot myself’

It’s a great game!!! It reminds us about pacman!! We give Forget-Me-Not Five stars.

Plenty of fruit and food to be eaten here. Flowers too. FMN looks plays and sounds like a pure genuine 80s arcade game most similar to Mr Do or Pacman. It’s got more to it with randomly generated levels, shooting, keys, potions multiple game modes and more. This keeps it very fresh and interesting. It’s simple yet deep and very addictive. The thing you won’t find in other iOS games other than classic arcade ports is this forgotten balance of collecting food and avoiding bad guys the way FMN does it. We love it we were worried about the controls before playing it but we have to say it works fine. The character kind of has a slide to his turns so it works well with swiping. It won’t be as good as an actual joystick of course but it’s still so much fun. It takes up very little space and we don’t know if it’s perfect but it might be one of the only games you need on your device if you can stand the retro style.

Seeing this title on the Internet with like a trial download or something. We tried it out and thought meh. Seeing it on the iPad we decided to grab it and we’re glad we did. Forget us not is one of the best and freshest old school style games you can find on the market.

We can not put this game down. Actually we can but next thing you know we’re playing it again.

We actually love this game. Please add achievements developer.

Great game! If you’re interested, just buy it. Even if you’re not interested, buy it. One of the best games in the app store, really.

With about 15 seconds of trying this, we knew it was special. Sometimes we are just right. Retro, triply, cool, fun!

It is so much fun our one complaint is that you can’t turn the screen sideways on iPhone other than that it is amazing.

Please update this for iOS 11, we don’t want to lose this treasure of a game! :(

Please don’t let this die of iOS 11!

Looks, plays, sounds, and feels like a long-lost classic arcade game. This is one of the App Store’s greatest sleeper hits and is pure bliss.

A great retro-arcade game with tons of surprises and replayability. We’ve been playing this game on and off for about a year now, and have a respectable spot on the scoreboards, but today, on a very early level, we stumbled across a new monster type I’d never seen before. So much random procedurally-generated goodness. This game just never gets old.

Game, updated and somehow more awesome than before. This is one of the best arcade games around.

Fantastic old-school arcade style game!

What could we say that nobody has said? This is a great game, retro simplicity plus new and interesting elements. This is so very playable, and somehow so satisfying, don’t let the small size of the file fool you, there is a lot of fun here. Please update this!! Was such a good game!

You’re ganna like the way it plays… We guarantee it!

We love this, don’t get us wrong, but we only wish the pixels in the graphics were sharper. That’s all we ask.

This is one of the games that we have enjoyed most and we couldnt stop playing it when we had a couple free minutes. We hope they do the new update for the latest versions of iOS.

This is our first time to write a review for a game and we wouldn’t be doing this unless we really really thought it deserved a recommendation. If you are a fan of puzzle type games. Tetris, lumines, PAC man, arcade games, etc. You will not be disappointed with this game. We read the reviews and even still was a little bit skeptical because we too think that some of these reviews are fake and bloated to make a game seem more popular. The developer/team or whoever made this game should be applauded. They got it right, its simply put a fantastic retro type feel, the game controls are simple, the gameplay is simple… We bought it and can’t stop playing. Procrastination 1, us 0. :)

This is a perfect game right here. Endless replay value. Incredible sound effects. Great style. Challenging gameplay. For people who like video games for people with brains.

THIS little gem would’ve been a far better PacMan! We rarely get hooked on games and we tend to lose interest rather quickly, so we usually spend a few minutes playing here or there. With Forget us Not, we’ve been saying "one more time" for the last hour and we’re not ready to call it a night yet :) There’s something special here and it’s certainly worth downloading!

We have to say right off the bat: we thought this game was amazing within the first 30 seconds of starting it up. The controls and idea of the game are simple and easy to understand, yet, when going deeper, you truly understand the depth and complexity found within this game. Everything in this game is fun and thrilling. From keeping up a large point streak, to choosing which enemies to confront or avoid, this game is exiting to the last second of your play through. An absolute must have for anyone looking for excitement and fun in their iPhone game.

UPDATE: As of this update it only gets BETTER! The new Seed mode lets all of the world’s players play in the exact same set of levels for that day. So now when you look at the day’s top Seed scores you can’t write off the tops scores as just getting lucky layouts. The Arena mode is also neat since there is no easy way out. You’re trapped in this level for all eternity with beasties and flowers regenerating with each wave. We love how you are really FORCED to get to know the random level the game has thrown together for you, for better or worse, if you want to survive long. Wow! This game is freaky fun! Pac-Man with a gun in random mazes with a variety of enemies and a twisted take on power pills (there are none, you need to scrape against the walls to charge yourself up… But even then must be careful not to over charge or you might blow up). Something also way too twisted in a good way is how the scoring from gathering pellets works. No longer is it some silly 10 points per pellet but a clever progressive scoring based on how many pellets you’re able to gather in a row without a break. So, amidst all of the chaos of spawning baddies, you’re trying to find a patch you can take through the maze that will have you gathering as many pellets as possible in an unbroken run. The points gathered this way can be massive! Pickup some 4 pellets in a row and get 16 points, but collect half the maze in one continuous run and you could be looking at 4,000 points or more (the points from the run are added until you end the current run).

We love this game we play like every day. Sometimes we just get really mad at it but we still like it . So maybe sometime you should play because it is a really great game.

A fiendishly inventive mix of Pac-Man maze action with Rogue-like adventure. This plays like some long-lost Atari 800 or 7800 classic from 1984, or one of Jeff Minter’s Llamasoft hits, and captures perfectly that simple complexity of classic video games. Always challenging, always surprising, and always compelling. An iOS classic!

One of the greatest iOS arcade games.

New game modes are excellent. FMN continues to be one of our favorites.

So addicting. Like being at the arcade again, 10 years old with a ziploc bag full of quarters.

Icade support makes this even better.

THIS GAME IS SO AWESOME 5-STAR IS PERFECT THIS GAME IS PERFECT.

We love playing this game and we want to play it on iphone 7 on ios 11 please update this game to be compatible with iOS 11 please its not letting us open the app please update it as soon as possible thanks.

Very nostalgic and fun. Got better after last update. Here are some suggestions for next update: 1. Bigger maps and monsters. Some of us dont have as good a vision. Perhaps a Big Mode? 2. Self-playing mode. Would make a nice visual while just listening to music. And an option to turn sound fx off. 3. Pipboy mode. Simple vector graphics. 4. Cameo by Pac-man. Or Dig-Dug. The game practically has Centipede already in it. Anyways, great game.

If you like Pac-man, shooting and puzzle solving you will like this game.

Forget. Us. Not is hands down the best arcade games on iOS. We’ve had this game for (what seems like) over a year, and we continuous come back to play again and again. Bottom line: forget. Us. Not is a Gen-Xer wet dream. It will take you back to the days of dumping quarters in arcade machines at Aladdin’s Castle, the bowling alley, or putt putt golf.

When we first played, we loved it. We learned so many things like the bomb things ARE really bombs! If you love retro-arcade style games, you’ll have hours of fun with this game. Who am we kidding? YEARS of fun!

Wow this is fun. Hard! And we only understand about 60% of what is going on. A perfect balance of quick gameplay, simple strategy, retro sound effects, and surprises.

2-player FMN on iCade is great: two simultaneous players! One on joystick, one with inverted-T "cursor keys" using the iCade buttons. Try this with Arena mode. Don’t forget to "grind the walls" (try to turn before you really can) to charge your power… We always forget that…

Quickly turning into one of our favorite games.

This game is worth every penny. Very fun. Great sound effects. Would buy part two if it manifested itself. Lot’s of old school arcade feel here.

We bought this game when it first was released and we still come back to it. Lots of originality in gameplay but the fun sounds and graphics will immerse you in a retro wonderland.
