This game rules. Can be totally f2p. We started a guild and have been having a blast. Am getting competitive now with the top players. So much strategy and thinking involved and always something new to do. Best mobile game Ive ever played.
We love the game and have been a paying player for months. However, if you join the game later, you can NEVER reach the top or close to the top by game design. How you level up is dependent on time and cannot be expedited. Its still a fun game, but would really like to see a path to reach the top instead of trailing behind in eternity. It discourages late comers.
Ce jeu est un bon jeu de stratgie avec un gameplay original. Malheureusement un drop rate trop faible pour obtenir des personnages 5 toiles est carrment dmotivant quand on sait lnergie et les ressources quil faut pour les faire voluer, il aurait t judicieux de laugmenter en cas dutilisation de 10 parchemins davoir au moins 1 personnage 5 toiles trop du et cest regret que je dsinstalle ce jeu.
We go through games like crazy, we usually play them for a week and get bored. F&D has kept our attention for over a year. It plays a lot like Terra battle, but more use friendly. We highly recommend it. We almost never write reviews either. Its definitely something different than the normal cookie cutter experience.
This game is unique. If D&D had a baby with chess it would be this game. The mechanics take a little bit to get use to but it is really fun and challenging too. Like all mobile RPG games you have to grind a bit to level up and get better heroes but its fun along the way. Enjoy this gem of a game.
The in game guide overwriting everything is really annoying. We dont need a finger pointing at battle to know that we can go battle. Also, we understand how the game works. Quit forcing us into more and more tutorials where we have to spend resources on characters Ill never use. Just. Let. Us. Play. The. Game.
Using a not too old iPad, from 2021. Other games handle on this iPad is fine, but this game constantly crashes every 20secs. It didnt crash doing the first chapter but now it crashes so much we cant even enjoy one full game without it crashes. It needs be optimized badly before we can think spending fair bit of money on here.
This is our first day playing and we like it. Im going to play more tomorrow.

Ive played for a probably a year now and spent hundreds of dollars, it was a great game but now Im feeling pretty burned by the developers. There is a HUGE level spike at the end of level 28 thats pretty much impossible without paying out probably several hundreds more. The boss there will silence your whole group every single turn and you can basically do nothing. Pretty sad because it is a great game but greed always wins we guess.
Its a PROMOCODE INVITE if u a first day in the game.
This game was top tieruntil they went head first into a greedy pit. The games all about what they can put behind a paywall next. Its pretty disgusting. Come back in a year or two and see if anything is better or the game collapsed in On itself.

Game is fine so far. Slightly seems Pay to win. One big thing we wish they implement is being able to auto skip stages youve 3 starred already. And more stamina to play the game.
Its a great game, a lot of fun, but every time comes the update, keep stuck all day, and its impossible enter the game, its very annoying thing.
Maybe the best mobile game Ive played in the last 10 years. There are around a dozen classes of characters and probably 2-3 dozen types if enemies. Every character and every enemy has strengths, weaknesses, and special abilities. The key is choosing the right team of characters to take into each puzzle (battle) to counter the enemies and complement your teams abilities. The actual play is challenging and more interesting than most mobile games which just have you click buttons. You must drag characters around the play field on a timer to position them strategically take out enemies and potentially protect other teammates. Again great game. Try it and you wont be disappointed.
We have been playing the game for two months now and its interesting. The challenge of making the best possible move in the allotted time is unique. The differing skills across the heroes adds to the challenge since you get to select which heroes to bring to each fight. We will say that the devs are living up to their goal of being very friendly to f2p players. The drawback to this, or perhaps it is because the is still expanding, is that features are constantly changing without warning. So if youre f2p it should only affect your time and you can adjust to all of the changes as you go. If you spend, be aware that you will quite possibly not receive entirely what was expected. Update March2023: Still playing but we often wonder why. Regular changes and updates might seem like a good idea, indicating an engaged develop staff, but they rarely implement smoothly. If you play, be ready to encounter a steady stream of maintenance breaks and times where the game is just unplayable.
Im going to keep this simple. It WOULD be a 5 star game and we dont hand out 5 stars in reviews ever if it werent for 1 thing. This arena is the most stupid function of a video game we have ever played in our 45 years of playing video games. We dont know what genius thought they were being brilliant designing it but its a complete failure. Ether completely overhaul the arena or just dump it period. Its the only reason we havent spent decent money yet on this game and the only reason we havent given it 5 stars.
As someone who rates games & media harshly, we have taken a liking to this game. We have played for almost a year now and reached level 92, so we have quite a lot of game experience. As someone who doesnt usually enjoy puzzle games, even we enjoyed this one.
We would recommend trying this game to anyone. Its quiet addicting and entertaining. We have some minor complaints. Few people who join in the coop game sometimes dont finish out It would be wonderful if you put some kind of penalty so that they dont do that and also something is wrong with the guild raid. It seems like its not working or Im just not getting it.
Pay to advance and the wall comes quickly. The energy system is awful. Rewards are are and far between. The game mechanics and graphics are fine. The top players are not free to play, that is also untrue.

The game is fine, fun even. But we uninstalled after it forces you to spend your first 300 gems on getting a hero, when its cheaper to save for a 10 hero summon. We were already peeved when it forces you to spend resources to level up a hero we didnt want to, but then setting us back 300 gems on a dinky summon wasnt going to cut it for us.
First, we usually turn game music off, but absolutely love it in this game. There are lots of tutorials spread out through the game teaching you how to best use the various character classes. Easy to learn, challenging to master. Still learning, but never bored playing this. You dont just go through the motions here. Glad we found it.
Game was fun at the beginning. Devs cater to individuals and clans while manipulating rng. Would be better if game was balanced. Also, listen to usersinstead of just creating more content without addressing issues.
We enjoy the puzzle and dragons feel with adventure heroes. Very nice style.
We love the game but its frustrating because its not really fair when its 4 against 20 and we only have one hit per hero with 4-5 rounds and the enemy has 2-3 hits per turn.
The top player in the world currently is a completely free player. This game is not pay to win but of course it helps. It is easy to learn but extremely difficult to master. The strategy is so deep and fun. This has been our favorite game for a few years now. We are sorry we waited so long to write this. Im just not normally a review leaver but we had to. Thanks! Reded.
Our friend told us about friends and dragons and we downloaded it to give it a try and we are loving it now.
This game is awesome we love the characters and everything about it we do recommend.
TLDR: Game mechanics are awful Free to play, but must pay to advance/enjoy The long version: After playing for a month, we decided to quit this awful game. This decision is based on two big deficiencies: terrible balance and the stupid movement timer. The timer is bad enough (way too short to be able to make any constructive or helpful moves leading to death of the heroes), but when coupled with the game balance issues, it just makes for a terrible game. It seems the game is balanced for a party of 4 and 5 toons. However, in the month Ive been playing we have not been able to get a single 5 character. Because of this, we have been stagnant in the game for over two weeks now. We are only able to level every couple days (which is as fast as the daily quests allow) because with a party of 4 heroes Im not usually able to even beat on-level enemies. So, we have to level, play one campaign board and wait until we can level again to play the next one and so on. We cant get any forward momentum in the campaign because of this. Its a terrible catch 22. We cant get anywhere without 5 toons, but we cant get any 5 toons unless Im willing to pay for them So its free to play, but pay to enjoy. wink wink Ive been stuck in one chapter of the campaign for 3 weeks, which has caused us to become very frustrated and if we cant enjoy the game, then we do not need to play.
Game idea is a pretty good one. Movement takes some getting used to, but opens the door to interesting strategical placement. If you like your dungeon crawlers and hero level grinders, this should help scratch that itch for a while.
Excellent graphics. Takes some repetition to fully utilize but the concept makes it worthwhile. Hopefully they will not get too greedy in attempts to get your money. They need to allow the players to learn how to enjoy the game to really get them involved.
They have some serious glitches they need to fix. We know they said they are working on it but we were at the top of the dragon-spire for 3 days waiting for our reward to see if anyone had beat us. Four hours left on the clock, and we go to sleep. We wake up and the challenge went to the next level. No reward. We were still top of the board. That and the pay to win prices are kind of steep… $70.00 for bunch of cool things…? Okay but we wouldn't pay that much for a brand new PS5 game… We would happily pay $5.00 or $10.00 for some gems -if- it removed the constant ads of itself every time you leave the dungeons… Otherwise this is a great Chess style RPG, that leaves very little wanting. Great job guys.
Tutorials keep popping up and taking control. And then they make us waste resources in stupid ways.
Don't listen to the negative reviews. We have been playing this game for months and still love it. Unique battle system and much more strategic than most games on the app store. Definitely worth the download.

We love the game, but the voice to text option no longer works in chat and because Im dyslexic it means we cant talk to any of our teammates anymore. This is very frustrating. We will rewrite our review and improve our star rating after you fix this again.

This could be a great game but the constant random closing and having to reopen and just today we earned our first 300 gems and am forced to go to Summon at the portal but game closes every time we attempt the summon. Please stabilize this game it really is unique and fun in between all the bugs.
At first we loved the game, thought it was unique, met some nice people and the gameplay was pretty good, until 1 the energy system is a pain 2-3 fights and done wait hours. That paired with weekly quests, 2-3 events, you basically stop your players from playing. 2 passes are wayyy too expensive! $20 for a dragon pass and the event is practically ongoing. If you did $5 we bet people would pay but $20 is just ridiculous. 3 gearing your heroes!!! We wait days weeks to get the piece we want and its all random. Hopefully its in the store which we have to pay gems, hopefully it drops from the weekly event, dont even get us started on the ascended tokens and gimp our heroes at the next ascension level because the tokens are freaking rare. The devs said its still early in release how early. ? As higher level player, we refuse to put anymore time or money into it.
Great game, we like the concept of the tile slide battle.
The game has a great concept and is fun, but each update brings new bugs. Report the bugs and support will resolve things right? No, all you get is a message that they will fix it, your ticket immediately closed, and the problems never get fixed for weeks and sometimes months. The bugs are still there preventing you from completing missions, quests, moving heroes, etc. This game is a scam to get your money.

This game is quite fun and unique. The characters are interesting and the fights are decently balanced. The only problem Ive encountered is the tutorial. Once its finished, you still randomly get tutorials every time you level up or unlock something. Our biggest peeve about this is the waste of resources. Not only do they force you to waste your first talent point on a one star character you can almost instantly replace, but after spending 6 levels grinding through the tutorials and a few extra battles, they force you to spend your first hard earned gems (very few free ones so far) rather than letting you save up for a discounted 10x draw or giving you a free first draw like most gacha games do.
We dont get what these developers are thinking. No one else tries to stop you from using the products that they sell. You can play for 10 minutes before the game wont let you anymore. Not even worth the download.
Its fine at first when levels are 1 energy to play, but it slowly starts to ramp up to the point where you maybe play for 10 minutes before you have to wait for hours again. It takes the suspense away from the game when you beat levels up until the boss, only to realize the boss stage is 5 times as expensive to play as the level before it. So you wait. There is a very fun game underneath all the waiting, but the developers decided to punish normal players in order to squeeze out pennies from whales who are willing to spend money to play a free game some more. Ill see if this game can keep our interest for a few more days while we battle with when the game will even let us play. After that, it might just be forgotten as wasted potential.
