Mercenary Canyon
Mercenary Canyon Rules:

Mercenary Canyon is the base where Commanders can train and upgrade mercenaries. After being trained, mercenaries will join hero troops to fight in World Map battles.

The Shadow Forge is used to produce Shadow Gold, and the Shadow Treasury is for storing and protecting Shadow Gold. The Mercenary Camp is for producing ("training") mercenaries, and Legion Field is for upgrading mercenaries. The Warsong Academy is for gathering mercenary soldier fragments.

Buildings in Mercenary Canyon can be upgraded, thereby boosting the capabilities of each building. For example, unlocking new soldier types or boosting Shadow Gold production.

The mercenaries you produce can be added to your hero troops in fighting World Map battles.
Shadow Forge
a. The Shadow Forge is used to produce Shadow Gold.
b. Shadow Gold storage within the Shadow Forge is limited. Once that limit is reached, the Forge will stop producing, so players must gather their gold in a timely manner.
c. Upgrading the building will speed up the production of Shadow Gold and raise storage capacity.
Mercenary Camp
a. The Mercenary Camp is used to train mercenaries.
b. Upgrading the camp to certain levels will unlock certain soldier types. After a soldier type is unlocked, that soldier’s fragments can be obtained from Warsong Academy.
c. Each training session has a max training housing capacity. Mercenaries with higher housing cost will limit the total number of mercenaries a player can train at one time.
d. Upgrading the Camp will unlock new soldier types and raise soldier training speed and single-time max training housing capacity.
e. Each time the training button is pressed, mercenaries will immediately be trained, but players must wait for the cooldown clock to run down before another training session can be carried out.
f. Players can spend diamonds to use the ""train now"" feature and bypass the cooldown clock. Time remaining on the cooldown clock and any shortage in Shadow Gold will be calculated into a diamond amount. If the player has training clocks, those will be spent first.
g. The higher mercenary level is, the greater the training cost will be.
Legion Field
a. Legion Field is used to upgrade soldier level and can raise the max amount of mercenaries that can be sent to battle.
b. When one soldier type is upgraded, the levels of all currently-owned mercenaries of that type will go up.
c. Upgrading Legion Field will raise max troop level and the max number of mercenaries that can be sent to battle.
d. At the same building level, the max levels for low, mid, and advanced soldier types will not necessarily be the same.
Warsong Academy
a. War Academy is used to research soldier types. Each day, players can research for free in the Academy and get upgrade scrolls for various soldier types.
b. The likelihood of getting a certain type of soldier fragment increases when the soldier level and amount owned are lowered.
c. Upgrading the War Academy will give players more daily free chances, as well as increase the resurrection rate of mercenaries after World Map battles.
