This is a few years old, but thats not a bad thing. Really unique mini games, some Id never seen before. If youre a hos fan, you might be disappointed; not as many as most hopa, which personally Im good with. The graphics are typical of the time period, a bit flat. But not bad at all. This game was made before all the big fish pressuring, which churned out quick formulaic games with little soul. This game was a delight to play, despite the old school graphics.

We love this game! Terrific guide, graphics, story line, map. Everything about this game we love!! Five Stars!!!!!!!!!

IT’s A fun game…. It is innovative…. It has lot’s of interesting elements: you can choose a "TETRIS-TYPE" of game instead of completing an Hidden-Object problem. We are still really early in the game so have only finished one of Hidden-Object vs Tetris options. That first one required matching two-of-a-kind pairs that were plenty large and easy to find and switching to the Tetris Game was very easy to do as well. So our recommendation is to buy the game on it’s sale price and enjoy having it available with a great Strategy guide attached for the rest of your life! Also, enjoy locating Rune Stones that you will use to solve secret messages that will guide you toward solving the game. As we said: "LOT’s OF FUN"! And easy to find.

The puzzles and graphics are beautiful!!

Minigames mostly on the easy side. HOPs interesting and varied. Game layout was very good. Maps were excellent and readily supported back and forth required. Context clues were helpful in driving you towards the appropriate actions. Clue board was an interesting addition. Only minuses were, voice acting a bit weak, but it wasnt terrible enough to distract from story. Viking premise was good as a unifying theme, but far-fetched, even with the whole magic exists premise. It also had the scan the circle over the screen until something appears technique, which we loathe as uninteresting. These were minor flaws in an otherwise solid game.

Finally, a good game. This one was extremely entertaining and fun. Loved all the different puzzles, the storyline, and the HOS. The game was good and long too!

We really liked this game, although we would have preferred a journal. Kudos for imaginative stuff like wanting fish breath and the sound of walking, but we didn’t write it down because we thought it would be recorded in the journal like other games. We were kind of sad because we were looking forward to finding this stuff but we couldn’t remember all of the items. Thank you for making the game a little more challenging than the usual Big Fish game. Their games are usually way too easy.

We enjoyed this game. Look forward to sequel. Had no issues.

We enjoyed the game we Holes it was a lot of fun. Got stuck a couple times but then we figured it out. Our kind of game.

Freaking impressed! First game in a while that we couldn’t put down ;). Just loved it!

Gameplay was steady and interesting. Great graphics and a mixture of HOS styles. The puzzles were perfect, not to simple but not impossible to complete either. The Viking theme was also fun. We love games that fuse ancient artifacts with modern technology. Five stars!

Really enjoyed this one! We thought it was one of the best we’ve played.

The constant pop up for ratings is very irritating. Why not ask at the end. You need to play to know if you like it. Thank goodness for the teleporting map. Liked the graphics, the story was okay, the bonus story not so good. We would try another game.

Turn off the lights and get your flashlights ready! This one’s a ghostly adventure. You are the new sheriff who is replacing the previous sheriff who mysteriously vanished in the historically Viking rich Meadows Town. You arrive during a storm, which has caused the town’s people to flee; and you are investigating a series of murders and disappearances. The abandoned town gives an ominous sense of creepy isolation. Upon arrival and due to the storm, you are involved in a car crash, which is a theme that is well overdone in many Big Fish games. You meet the very cute deputy who assists you in collecting evidence throughout your journey; and the evidence items, such as newspaper clippings, photos, and film strips are pieced together on the evidence board located in the police station. Here you will make associations between the suspects or victims and the relative pieces of evidence to figure out who’s connected and somehow involved in the mysteries. You can also just click on the "Sheriff" tab in the lower left hand corner to open up your evidence board. As the story progresses, you are pursuing a ghostly figure who tries to hinder your investigation; and you meet some Viking ghosts who are protecting their treasure. The graphics are slightly grainy, but the artwork of the scenes is nice and clear. The dominant colors of purple and blue in the scenes seem to be consistent throughout. You also use a mystic orb to identify paranormal activity and to collect energy in some scenes; and when the orb is full, you learn parts of the Viking history and uncover secrets. The HOS are varied and fun. You have "find the difference", "matching pairs", and you put back items into the scene as well. The puzzles, 14 in the main game, are fairly simple, but become more fun as you move along. One involves coloring parts of a picture according to small scraps of paper. There is not an over abundance of either puzzles or HOS so there is an even balance. You are collecting 40 rune stones in the locations, and they are also hidden in the interactive zoom-ups so watch out for them. There are four modes of difficulty, including the ability to customize, which we love. We can take off all sparkle indicators. The inventory is labeled, and the map is a fast teleporting one with objectives and labeled locations. You can also see the location names when you click in a direction throughout the locations. We had fast travel between locations as well. What we did not like was that the map, hint button and strategy guide were all cramped together in the same area, which can cause one to accidentally hit the undesired option. The bonus area includes the bonus chapter, workshop, replay of puzzles and HOS and wallpaper, etc. The bonus chapter includes some new scenes, which is nice. We did not come across any glitches; and we gave the game four stars because even though the demo was short, the game with bonus was lengthy and became more interesting with progression. Some of the puzzles became more fun as well where you had to work them out a bit, such as moving the rune stones to their center positions in accordance with the numbers on the rows and columns. We are still enjoying it and hope you do too.

This game was better than a lot of them. The story line was okay. Some puzzles easier than others but the variety was good. One thing that upset us is when the game was over it said that there was a bonus game available but couldn’t find it anywhere. Was we dreaming?

It was ok. No glitches but kind of easy. We found it to be corny.

Finally, a good game by the glitchy bunny, ERS! The game itself was terrific. It combined a crime story with Norse mythology. You had to collect runes, but at least you got mottos when you decoded them. You will laugh at the last motto you decode. It’s decided by the developer. The graphics were good, as were the cut-scenes. The game was lengthy, and had a long bonus adventure as well. Loading was instantaneous between locations, of which there were many. Luckily you had a teleport map, with an on-screen tab, of 4 pages to use which gave you marked tasks, or else you’d be running around forever. There was an evidence board, which also stated your objectives. We still would have preferred a journal! Inventory was labeled. The HO scenes were at least quite varied, not just boring word lists. You had to match pairs, use one object to unlock another, place things in the scene, silhouettes and other types too. There was a puzzle game if you didn’t want to play the HO scenes, we think. Lots of puzzles and mini-games, but not the most original types. Still fun though. The hint system didn’t spoil anything either. There was a strategy guide, but it won’t help you with HO scenes, which was only a problem when there were glitchy placement issues. You also got to use a magical device to detect paranormal activity! Then once you filled the device, it would unlock more of the mythology part of the story and you would get an inventory item. At the end of the main game, you choose between 2 endings. Unfortunately nobody on our team warned us that we would have to deal with RATS! We just knew that we were due for them! It’s ERS, duh! However, they were just tiny rodents on a loop that actually didn’t bother us for a change. None to jump out at you! The only reason we didn’t give this game 5 stars was because placement in the HO scenes was a bit glitchy, and also using inventory items was a bit finicky. Also would have preferred a journal to keep track of the story. However, we were able to play and complete the entire game and the bonus chapter as well. This was a fantastic game, especially for ERS. They should still work out the kinks a bit more. For players who thought certain inventory items weren’t working, sometimes you need to use a different item than what you thought or what makes sense. Note: Newer players won’t understand that sometimes you don’t dig with a shovel; you may need a rake. So don’t go thinking your item disappeared; you need to try a different item! In any event this was a very good solid game. Dream Team, you will like this. We still haven’t played the new Amaranthine Voyage or the new Mad Head game so lots to be excited about. Any warnings? Snooper, where are you? We haven’t seen reviews from you lately. Are you okay? We just saw your review on Amaranthine which we did not play yet. We were starting to worry. Some of our reviews have disappeared into cyberspace too, and it’s very frustrating! To the Dream Team we send from Lynxie!

This Game was again, nothing to write home About! What is with the short demo? One needs to play the game awhile,in order to see if one. Likes it before purchase. And the constant pop Up asking to rate it is ,annoying. Lady P.

We agree the demo was short-lived, but we scored it a little higher. We’ve gotten used to the games going back and forth running us from one scene to another but it’s a good adventure and no problems with any technical issues so far.

Unique in HOP’s – varied & different. The storyline is good, but weird. You have ghosts haunting a town, killing ppl, but you’re looking for ancient Viking runes as collectibles. Turns out ghosts are tied in with ancient Vikings – well, some. We found some games too difficult &/or frustrating to do even with the Strategy Guide. We also thought the HOP’s were pretty difficult & some of them as well as games made little sense to us. Overall, we’re enjoying it ok. Not 5 stars, but typical BF fare these days.

Shortest demo we’ve played on a Big Fish game. Won’t be purchasing. Based on demo, nothing particularly original, challenging or intriguing about game.

You sure let people know how many runes you need to collect, so you know how close you get too the end.

So far, this is a little confusing. Maybe a better rating later.

Nothing special – Found hints not to be accurate. Not enough hidden object scenes – lists would have been nice. Found it to be a lot of busy work with no real purpose. Graphics and character voices were good on a positive note. But overall the game didn’t thrill us, in fact we were glad when it was over. Thanks anyways, Shouldn’t have bought it on such a short trial. KdBoots.

Positives: Can set the Hint button and the Skip button down to 15 seconds. Has a teleporting map. However, the demo. Lasted only a few minutes. We’re tired of wasting our money on mediocre games. We probably will not purchase this game.

It’s really sad that this was released with such egregious (yet simple) bugs. For example: every time you open the map it flashes a "purchase this game" screen. We paid for the game. This is a silly graphic bug that just takes away from the experience and is just embarrassing and amateur. Also the hint system is awful and the "look for the spirit ball" HOGS are really done poorly. They crawl, forcing you to just swipe the lens on all quadrants of the screen with no rhyme or reason.

The buttons are tiny and difficult to reach, at least for us? We’re over 50 AND disabled, but have played many many enjoyable games without the frustration we now feel.

Short demo, cumbersome UI, uninteresting story, ultimately a waste of space and time. Do not recommend.

We downloaded the trial game and was very disappointed. It was over in the blink of an eye. And there wasn’t even one HO game! You had the usual situation of finding items to use. LOTS of back and forth for no reason, really. Luckily there IS a map with a legend telling you where there is something to do, and a teleport to the scene. The intro game has you getting out of the car, going to the Sheriff’s office and putting out a fire on the street. That’s about it, other than finding and using the items in these locations. The puzzles are pretty lame, like match the finger prints. Overall, very disappointing! Definitely NOT worth $6.99.

It was a good game until it failed to load shortly after the purchase. We maybe had 5 or so successful launches after purchase then no more. Just got the initial screen with two abandoned cars and then it would churn away with the "be patient we’re working" little spinning wheel, then it would dump back out to the home ipad screen. Closing other open apps and rebooting didn’t help. The problem with these games is that they’re fairly cheap for the hours of entertainment you get, but if they go kaflooey there’s no support. We could probably delete and re-download but then we would start at the beginning. We did that with one game and it was more like work than entertainment, so we’re just going to blow this off.
