BECOME A GLORKIAN WARRIOR! Visit awesome asteroids! Blast strange invaders!
Help Glorkian Warrior and his trusty Super Backpack fight against an endless onslaught of alien creatures.
In Glorkian Warrior, you play as a cadet out to prove his worth and maybe get a promotion or two. Your trusty Super Backpack will help you fend off the incoming attackers by firing a constant stream of lasers into the sky. Grab power-ups dropped by the enemies to gain temporary access to some Glorkin’ good weapons. And if anything is too low to shoot, leap over it! It’s good, classic shoot-em-up fun.
Defeated enemies will drop energy crackers. The more of them you grab, the more cool stuff you’ll unlock. Even if you have a terrible run, you’ll still make some progress! Try not to have a terrible run, though. It’s really bad for our hero’s confidence! You can get fun things like basketballs! New weapons! More basketballs, but these ones explode! There are even some fun comics featuring our daring protagonist, drawn by James Kochalka himself. What are you waiting for? Get out there and collect those energy crackers!

Getting a lot of pop-ups to join the new club thing even though we’ve already bought the game. We love this game so much… 6 stars.
Used to love this game, great graphics, gameplay, sound and humor in a wonderful unified self contained package. Then they added game club ads and now the game just makes us sad when we open it. Sure somebody is always going to try and capitalize off anything of quality by shilling junk at you; but this game was beautiful, and the ads feel like billboards slapped up in a national park.
No IAP! No energy! The game has different control schemes and we’ve had no lag or crashes. Just a really fun game with lots of humor ! Definitely recommend! Thank you devs for updating the game to 64 bit!!!! This has always been one of our favorite IOS games!!!
Big fan of both James Kochalka and PixelJam. This hand drawn pew-pew is a delight. Challenging, but absorbing, and packed with juicy unlocks. Play it!

This is a great Space Invaders/Galaxian game! The variety of weapons and enemies keeps the game fresh. The humor is wonderful. The cartoony graphics go good with the humor. The controls are tight (much appreciated on a game like this). Good "arcade days" game. Thanks for the memories.

Really enjoying this Pixeljam gem. No loading screens, no ads, no microtransactions, just an immensely solid and fun game. With responsive and precise controls, which isn’t something you can say about most iPhone games. Can’t recommend it enough, definitely worth your time and money.
We’ve been playing this game for a long time. We’ll never delete it. It’s nostalgic. It’s witty. It’s unbeatable! We have neglected many, many hours or work with beautiful ease. We never leave reviews, and we almost never keep anything we download for longer than we have kept The Trials of Glork… Or whatever this is called.
We can open on our we pad, but not on our we pod any ideas how to keep this from crashing when trying to play on our iPod thanks love this game!
The game is a spectacular play, when it’s playable. We recommend playing it on a pc rather than the app. The app continues to freeze and not save our progress which is found frustrating and dampening the enjoyment of the game.
Cartoon graphics are cute. Gameplay is not very interesting though compared to solid Shumps.
The characters, sounds and music are awesome. However, this game will subject you to an astonishing number of inescapable cheap shot deaths. If you like to be supremely frustrated, you’ll like this game.
Guys, there’s some serious controller issues with this game! No matter which control option we select, there inevitably seems to be a moment when the game goes haywire, sending Glork running or jumping of his own accord, ignoring our futile screen taps while he throws himself into alien fire. At first we thought it might be a hardware problem. But we’ve upgraded our phone a couple of times by now and the problems have persisted. This is not fair! Now look, we’re interested in our high score, here. Like the arcade classics this game evokes, pride is on the line. Currently, we’re ranked #64 on the Ace Leaderboard. We always play Ace, the most difficult setting. We believe in a hearty challenge, hard-won victories and fair play. These control bugs must be fixed or else the game’s fairness and credibility will be in question. This (or any) game’s only true asset, integrity, is on the line, too. Why, we were at Comic-Con only a year or two ago when we heard rumors that hackers had some how gamed Glork and set themselves atop the leaderboards with absurd high scores. If true, we’ve thus far chosen to believe that these issues have by now been long rectified. However, Glork’s spazzing out and sabotaging our play almost every single session betrays at least some weakness in the design of its current iteration. Now we’re not sure we know what to believe. Glork is a great game. Please fix it. Fix it fast and fix it well. Fix it. Please. And thank you. Yours truly, Len Kody Ace Glorkian Warrior #64 in the World.

We grew up playing shooters of the 80’s and somehow they managed to make this feel retro & new, and deliver an amazingly fun and addictive experience. The nerd-humor is also a nice touch. Can’t believe how much fun this game is, even after dozens of rounds. We can never seem to just play 1 or 2 or 3 or 4, etc. Games back to back. This is a rare game that keeps us entertained no matter how much we play it. And it’s the one game we keep going back to after not playing it for a while. No other game has entertained us to keep drawing us back time and time again. Thank you for this awesome game!!

Incredibly addictive, fantastically fun while still maintaining a serious challenge. Amazing music, wild sound effects and beautifully created crazy aliens to destroy are just a few thing that makes this game worth every penny. If you don’t love this game, you don’t love games. That is all.
There are certain genre games that we always need on our phone, one of which is a Galaxian-type of game. This is our favorite adaption of that genre. We basically describe it as a Galaxian-type game that’s been hand drawn and is full of humor, which you don’t usually think of an arcade game as having. We strongly recommend this game.
Perfect retro shooter… GREAT art assets (not just lazy pixel art). Just getting some serious slowdown when lots of enemies are present and the comic book achievement items won’t load and crash the game. A bummer as those were real draws… Only reason we’re knocking this down a star.
This game is great, we love it!
A throwback to eighties arcade classics, this game is fun, addicting, but unfortunately rather limited and repetitive. There are perhaps three or four scenes, and only a few enemies and weapons. We’re no more than a casual player, and a poor one at that, but it didn’t take us long to achieve the "ennui" award. But the design is really cute, and it never takes itself too seriously. We’re happy to have purchased and played it. Edit: Latest update will erase your progress, so if you value that, and haven’t experienced any bugs, we wouldn’t update. There isn’t any new content. Waiting impatiently for the promised new content. Hey Designers: we humans have a finite unpredictable life span?
We like this game a lot but the update reset our progress. We had already earned over 20000 credits. We doubt we’ll play it anymore.
Nice change from the 8bit retros that are flooding the market everywhere. This feels hand crafted and unique. Plays great, feels even better.

This game is very well done. It has a fast pace, addictive nature that is a great game to clear the mind, have fun, and lose track of a frustrating day you may be having. Plain and simple….. Money VERY well spent. No regrets. We are anxious to see if more comes out around this title or what their next title may be. We do not usually write reviews, but we felt they did such a nice job that we wanted others to know if they spend their hard earned money….. People will be happy!

Super fun game. Should be 2 dollars cheaper as we were expecting different levels, but its the same game with different rewards. Still good though.
We were reluctant to play this game at first because we are not a fan of twitch game, but we are a fan of James K’s comics, we gave it a chance. We’re glad we did because the game doesn’t penalize you for failing. Instead you make progress across games and unlock fun and funny new weapons, environments and even a few comic books.
Everything you want in a video game. Super addictive. Beautiful artwork. Funny and smart. Great tunes. Buy this game now and tell all your friends. You won’t be sorry.
We have been playing this game every chance we get for the past few weeks. We only wish there were more objectives so it could last longer.
We get ready to play the game at the home screen and then it immediately turns off once we go into it. Please fix this and then we will enjoy much more!
Description says it needs 4s or better, but it works! It runs on the slow side when things get hairy, just like in the matrix!!! So, if you really want the high scores, go plain old iPhone 4! WARNING: monsters can still shoot back on iPhone4.

Really fun endless shooter from Pixeljam. Tons of charm and personality. Silly art style via James Kochalka. Feels old school but also twitchy and modern, just like the Magic Robot. Would have liked a floating D-pad though. We blame the evil space aliens.
