You have to spend hundreds to get caught up to the people who have been playing for years. The server is labeled as new but it isn’t even close to new. The updates break the game and for players to lose progress, regardless if you paid for it. There is no customer service for this foreign made game. You only waste your time if you try. Out of all the games we have played, this is the only one we regret. Don’t put your money in, you will just lose it.
Gods & Glory is one of our favorite games. Not only does it allow you freedom to level up at your own pace, but the way the balanced the armies is incredible! Each of the gods armies have certain special abilities that synchronize perfectly. We would recommend this game to everyone, or at least give it a try. 5 stars! Edit: we are having just one minor issue that we hope can be sorted out as soon as possible. Being a relatively low level player we are constantly attacked by high level players, which is making it rather difficult to progress, to the point where we have to buy several divine shields just to gather enough resources to research something. We think that there should be a level cap on who you can attack. The person you want to attack can be no more than 3 levels below you, for example. Dont take this the wrong way, we still really love the game, just want this issue to be sorted out as soon as possible. Thank you for reading!
Crap game, no way to opt out of PvP, fails to explain the game mechanics, mindless grinding.
This game is 100% pay to win, which is okay if you have extra money and willing to pay. However, last update made game unplayable for some accounts with ios due to huge lag in game. Developers doesnt seem to know how to fix the problem and dont really care about you as a customer who spend money. Developers completely dont care about their customers even if you spend good amount of money on their game. Poor customer support with lack of communication. Stay away. Just go read their Facebook page nothing but complaints. Very very poor customer approach.
Dont just look at the stars, read the comments. Look at their Facebook page filled with complaints. This game is trash, because the developers are beyond greedy and destroyed the game that used to be good.
If you updated your iPhone to iOS 12 you might find the game now runs pretty sluggish. Screen freezes pretty regularly (which is great when theres a march incoming) so you will find yourself going back and forth between G&G and your home screen. And typing in game is now unbearable due to it taking probably a second or two per letter to appear. Said they are aware of the issue but there has been no update on an incoming fix.
Fun at first but you have to pay if you want to get anywhere.. And its rediculously expensive. Dont waste your money.
We really enjoyed this game until recently when developers decided to make regular update. We understand it was attempt to improve the game, but, boy, we dont enjoy it anymore. We hope that developers can hear players, and they will find courage to accept that last update was big mistake. Many people left the game already, so please, revise XP gaining by hero.
The last change killed leveling.
We dont normally write reviews. We spent a lot of time and effort to get to the point Im at. After the new update getting to lv 50 is easy. To get beyond that is harder and harder to impossible for very experienced players. They screwed up the math on this big time. You get almost the same exp for lv1 mines as lv13. To try to lv up is a waste of lots of time. Which makes this game a waste of time if not fixed.
We will tell you that we love this game. It has all the components that we really enjoy in a game such as this. However, its getting a 1 star rating due to the development team. There have been several updates to this game. First, they changed the mechanics of certain troops. Ok, we get it. They were a tad overpowered, but easily worked around with appropriate strategies. Then they changed the mechanics of troops that they changed the mechanics of. They made a mistake, and made super overpowering troops. Again, easily worked around with proper strategies, but we get it. Then they took away bastions for xp farming. This being a year after servers open. Sure, we get it. Bastions arent meant to be farmed for xp, but people had done it for over a year. All these changes had people in an uproar, of course, but that doesnt deserve a one star rating. The next update, does. They have reduced the available xp that you can gain, per action, with your hero and generals by 80-90% and increased the amount you must gain (after lvl 50) by about 15%. This is in an attempt to equal the new and older players playing field, so they say. However, its all but impossible for newer players to reach lvl 100 (max) now. They say that pvp battles will bring in more xp, but it doesnt. They say they listen to their players, but they ultimately havent. They made a slight change to the xp system a few days after update, but it really hasnt changed a thing. Im not sure why they changed the xp system. We havent seen one post as to why the system needed to be changed, or what was wrong with old system. We love this game a lot. We really do, but now theyve made it to where its next to impossible to max tech/hero lvls unless youre willing to pay $1000s of dollars or you have 4 or more years to play the game. For this, we rate you a 1 Star. For this we may be leaving our favorite game for good. Edit: The below developers comment is what they think is right. It still doesnt explain why XP is cut by 80-90%. It doesnt say why they waited almost two years to make this adjustment. Also, they could have left xp numbers the same and readjusted which units have what. We would be happy to see them do this. Their community is in an uproar. Theyve said that they buffed pvp, but its through a tech that you have to spend weeks researching, and the added 50% pvp exp is nice. However, when your looking at 5 million plus exp to level a hero and your getting barely 1k-2k per pvp battle, that 50% buff you get is laughably lackluster at best. We also just noticed the developers response is copy and pasted from every other review about recent update. So theres that too.
Current rating is deceiving. Read the most recent reviews. Recent update made it impossible for anyone not already at the very top to ever catch up. Even if you want to spend a lot of money you probably wont catch up with how current system is. Not a good time to start this game. Find something else to play. Most of chat in game at this point is about quitting if XP system isnt fixed. And devs are clueless and dont seem to care about their customers. At least 80 to 90% of current players are complaining about new system, and if you go look at devs response to recent reviews about XP system it is a boiler plate response with no variation at all. They probably barely read the reviews.
We’ve played this game over 600 consecutive days. It used to be a lot of fun with plenty to do and a vibrant community. The devs have made some unfortunate choices that have taken most of the enjoyment out of the game and the game has been losing players in droves in recent weeks. First, they made wholesale changes to one class of troops. While the devs claimed it was an improvement, most players saw it as a money grab by forcing players to start over with a different troop type. Second, rather than add content, the devs focused on creating tournaments and other events using the same content. This is lazy form of development at best. Third, repeated nerfing of troops in the guise of pvp rebalancing. Anyone who has played MMOGs for any length of time recognizes repeated nerfing as the beginning of the end for the game. Most recently, the devs revamped the xp system for heroes and generals. The dev team has offered no real explanation for the change, but it essentially makes it impossible for new or mid-level players to ever reach the highest levels without spending hundreds of dollars on in-game boosts. The standard dev response to complaints is to cite the EULA and remind us that we can buy subscriptions for $5-$100 per month to earn more xp. Long story short. Most players are either leaving the game or just hanging around because there isnt a better game out yet. The devs are money-grabbing corporate excuse jockeys who had a great game and ruined it with their poor choices.
This used to be a great and fun game. Latest update completely worked the new and middle level players over. New players wont be competitive for 3-4 years minimum with the current version. Stay away, far away.

Last update killed this game. 88 hero lvl was a grind and hopes of lvl 100 is now crushed. GG.
Latest update has destroyed the game. We immediately cancelled our subscription. We wish we could get the time and money spent on game (I used to enjoy game but they completely ruined XP… So the players who have level 100 heroes and generals have it made because nobody will ever be able to reach that level). Next up…. Removing the app. Devs.
Based on reviews and bs commentary back from the devs that look like they arent even reading the commentary from their community this gets a one star Dont belittle your community How obvious can that be???? This game used to be fun but slowly the devs have started making changes that make it easy to grow at first but then u hit a wall and there is no choice but to spend a lot of money. Do not waste your time. Company only cares about growth and have no loyalty to players. Do not waste your time or money. There are plenty of other games out there.
The most recent update has completely destroyed both us and our alliances motivation to even play. The experience gain nerf has made grinding for levels even more of a slog than it already is. Please gods and glory developers revert the experience gain back to where it was.
This is the same game as EVERY OTHER WAR GAME. You build your town. (Boring) and you have to pay or wait hours and days to get anywhere. The style is slow and boring. Poor attempt at a game. Whoever said this game was like heroes of might and magic needs to be slapped. That game is super fun and classic this game is boring and a waste of time.
After waiting more than 10 minutes on three different attempts to play the game while it was loading resources we’ve given up. After reading some of the feedback and developer responses Im glad we’ve decided to delete this game and we wont download any of your games in the future. We would encourage you to read the developer responses before trying this game out, the biggest bunch of political double talk we’ve read in developer comments. The developers are unwilling to accept any responsibility for the dissatisfaction of their players, GARBAGE. You can see by their response to us, unwilling to accept responsibility. We have several games that frequently use WiFi or mobile network to download data and play, they have no issues.
Nothing like Heroes at all, dont bother downloading.
We have been playing for about a week now. It really is a great game. We’ve spend about $15 in game just to get gems and boost however as we went to log in the game restarted and we dont really know if a way to get our old game back as of now we are very disappointed in the game. We have left feedback for the devs in game well see how that goes… Update: the game logged us out bc if Game Center not a dev issue.
This is the exact same game as about every other building game on iOS. This is nothing like heroes of might magic, you don’t explore and find magical items, it’s build a quarry build a barracks now build a house. Same game different cover.

Recent update caused major issues which end apparently forced the developers to load a back up. It resulted in lost items and resources. The item was acquired with in game gems (a 24hr shield of protection to prevent being raided) the loss of said shield resulted loss approximately 170k resources, and the reboot cost us approximately another 130k resources which we had gained via farming mines. We understand that issues can and do occur during updates but the fact that the developers have not responded to our trouble ticket. We only received an automated response stating that they would reply in 48hrs. 96hrs and a response to their email later and still now response. Ok game just manage your expectations and dont expect help or a response if there is an issue and you will likely be reasonably content. 66708 Well we dont understand that but no worries. Our issue is stated in our complaint above. The botched update resulted in approximately 300,000 stone, wood, and gold lost because of the reload caused us to loss our shield of protection and an hour or so worth of farming. If the customer service desk had a question then he proper thing to do would be to respond to the trouble ticket with the question and not just ignore it. The fact that we are having to point this out illustrates our point perfectly. We are not the only player who did not receive a response which is why we left the review. Well they could have responded to our ticket or the email that we sent asking for a response but we will do their job and yours and reconnect them. If they are a direct part of your company then people should be reprimanded or fired and if you have contracted it out then you should find another firm to do their job when it is time to rebid. Have you stopped to ask why this is being handled via a review and not through the customer service? If not you should. This should have been as simple as having them contact us once you revived our ticket #. Force them to do their job. We will be emailing them in a few minutes and will expect a quick resolution. After over weeks and the exchanges in this review; Customer service responder earlier today and stated that they returned 100,000 stone, wood and gold. Only 1/3 of what we lost but it was an attempt to make things right.
So after their new royal tournament is glitched all to hell and back the server crashes and they reset the server back to before event began. Everyone that had shielded for the war event was no longer shielded and half the server was rubble. Pretty standard in a war game that after a server reset every base gets shielded at least 24h or until next log on. This dev team has proven they dont know what theyre doing and time and again have proven they dont care about their customer base. Stay far far away from this game.
Since the update.. Unable to log in on droid or Apple systems… Uninstalled & reinstalled.. No success… No immediate contact to resolve.
We had high hopes for this since we are a big fan of all of the other Wargaming games. Unfortunately, this is just another cookie cutter MMO that is pay to win and uninspiring. Build a base. Upgrade the base. Same with units. Attack targets on the map. Same old thing.

The game doesnt load and the support team replies to the ticket without any follow up actions Yes. Still cant load the game on an iPad Air. We dont have a ticket number since it was closed without providing any resolution nor follow ups.
Ok so we love this game but as of the newest update we cant get in and it keeps saying error code 308 or 408 so please fix this NOW!
This game is to hard to play the minions that guard the material for farming just kill you even if you multiple level higher. Took us a while to get them geared by dungeon and they still kill us. We been trying different comps over and over but it dont help training troops over and over. Just to difficult for us. Have fun trying to figure this out.
A recent update has proven that Wargaming group has no problem doing a complete and total changing of game mechanics that many players had spent lots of real money to obtain while offering no compensation for their poor choices and disrespecting the intelligence of their player base. What’s worse is the update was so poorly implemented that it wouldn’t even work as it was intended to post-update, yet they continued to refer to it as "improvements" even in the face of video evidence to the contrary. Do not play this, and stay far, far away from any game run by Wargaming Group! They are crooks and will take your money and laugh at you while doing so.
A recent patch was put into play nerfing troops causing people to lose a lot of time and money. The dev response is too bad, we can change the game how we want. Any real game that makes significant changes to a skill line allows players to reset their skills based on the new gameplay. This game just wants to make you start over so you have to buy more gems. Bottom line, don’t play this game!
Love the game, it feels good to make strides and not feel like you have to pay to win. We’ve spent $5 to support the game and and we dont feel behind. The only bug we seem to run into is when there is an update. When we load into the game it tells us to update, we do, then we go back into the game and still tells us to update. Please fix, we usually lose a day or two from this. Otherwise, great game!
Yes it is war game but it is not a mosh pit. We like the game but we don’t like being bullied by players who have been in the game longer and spent more money on it. We think if we want to be attacked or attack other players there should be a setting that can be toggled on or off. We will even meet you half way have that you must not have attacked anyone 8 hours before toggling the player vs player off. So one cannot attack someone without a chance to enact revenge.
