Hey, That’s My Fish! HD Reviews

Thank you for the 64 bit upgrade!!!

Dead simple to learn. Tons of player interaction. It was a huge hit on a recent roadtrip. Lots of laughs.

Deleted and fresh install fixed problem.

We love the board game so we picked this up. We have been teaching our 4yr old how to play using the iPad version so we can pull out the real game with him sometime soon. This game is easy enough to play with a 4yr old yet has enough strategy to keep adults asking to play it again.

We sell board games for a living and this app is so awesomely close to the actual game. If you like the app go into your friendly local game store and pick it up!

Our 5 1/2 year old daughter and we were looking for a game to play together, and this was the perfect purchase. The gameplay is simple, but the strategy is deep. We enjoyed playing against each other and discussing strategy with positioning close to 3- and 2- fish hexes, and then about closing off an island with lots of fish just for you, and how to make the most of the moves you have left. Then we added computer opponents and the gameplay changed. We’re looking forward to playing this against other adults. An online mode would be fun, but we’re not sure I’d play it or not. Thanks, this was just what we were looking for.

Reiner keep making games that we love!!!!! You are the man!!!!!

For some time we avoided this game due to the childish theme. Our loss. Wonderful, easy to play. Nice list of achievements give replayability. One of the best iPad game to play with kids, and some nice single player options as well. Great implementation and nice graphics. Runs perfect on our iPad 2. Highly recommended!

Clever concept. Easy to understand. Suitable for families. Quick setup.

The game is pretty good, but somewhat underwhelming in implementation, especially compared to the likes of Carcassonne, Ticket to Ride and Caylus. It’s not buggy, it’s just a little spare. $4.99 is probably too much to pay, but $2.99 is about right.

Even on hard it’s a bit easy, but still what a joy to play with the kids. Super cute too.

Great game! Love the music, too! But this isn’t going to be one of those games you play virally with your friends because of the unfortunate lack of an online mode. It’s great to pass around in the car with kids, though.

This is a great abstract game we play a lot. Great look and feel, no bugs. Highly recommend. There are a few areas for improvement. First the timer. We love the automatic timer, but the range of times that are selectable are too small. Please update and increase the range of times that canister be selected. 20 seconds is not enough sometimes. At least increase it to a minute and maybe even 5 minutes for very small children. It’s not like it would be more than a few minutes of coding to increase the timer time. Also some different ways to configure starting board setup would be nice, but not a big deal as the timer since this would actually take some work to do and isn’t as shortsighted as the timer issue.

This is a fun little game we enjoy playing with our daughter. Unfortunately, most of the board layouts are locked until you defeat the computer opponent many times, sometimes in abstract and challenging ways. This makes no sense whatsoever. It’s a board game. We want to play it with our family. The developer is asking us to become a master of the game to get at the content we paid for, in the process growing to far exceed the skill level of anyone else in our family. Meaning we either have to covertly handicap myself, which we hate doing, or just not be any fun to play against. Boneheaded decision. But if you don’t mind having just the basic layout – or if you intend to play against the AI, which isn’t even all that fun to begin with compared to similar products – it’s still a pretty enjoyable game to play with your kids.

The only thing that could make this better is online multiplayer, otherwise it is a very polished implementation of a fun board game, and the AI is very good and fun to play with. Hope fantasy flight doesn’t stop here, they have many more great games and obviously they have some talented programmers to make it happen! Where’s battlelore?! Or Arkham Horror?!

Smooth play, no problems alot of fun. AI good, several map layouts and levels of play. We also agree with Betty… FFG should make more app versions of their games…

The game itself is enjoyable but even on "hard" mode the AI is much too easy to beat. We win almost every time, so there’s not much reason to keep coming back to the game unless the developers would be willing to raise the AI difficulty. With the difficulty left as is, this is a $5 game that might provide an hour of fun max…
