Classic tycoon game.. Needs an upgrade though.. Easily willing to pay more if interesting.
This game is such an addictive tycoon that has tons of potential. First off though you should have a difficulty option. Second you should have more customizations to the company you make. Third, you should have a credit system so you can have starting money for a movie so you can still make a movie if you run out of money. Last, you should be able to change the starting money. There is many more things you should be able to do but these could be a good start.
They should make it even better.
We’re a super movie geek and we love the industry, super fun game.
We can spend DAYS in this game. Its near perfect. If we had any cons it would be that it blocks you out after 35 years and that there are only so many genres and limited to movies. It would be really cool if we could do Mini-Series (Netflix style) or TV altogether. Cinematic Universes could also change gameplay in a really fun way. Regardless, this is an amazing game.
We should rank hire than 11 when we have nearly 100 movies out and 8 of 10 movies are in the top 10 in history. Just a suggestion for ranking people.
Im still loving this game throughout all this time and we did have problems with the freezing and crashes but all that is fine now. Leading to this we think you should update this game to its fullest potential, we think you should add more realistic views on creating your movies like adding in casting calls and having your movies be able to cross 1 billion instead of reaching the hundred millions only along with a better way to select your prices without the slider thing it does get annoying most of the time. And you should add contracts for the actors so that you can actually own an actor for + Years and they cant make any other movie besides yours. Also add your actors faults where sometimes the public would catch them doing something bad or they are caught by the police which would cost the production of your movie down or delay its release or bring its ratings down. Lastly, you should add records such as if your movie gets the biggest budget you will go down as a record or if it gets the most box office its goes down as a record or makes history. Along with being able to purchase other companies which can make your movies even better but they are limited to about 3 or 4 and each company has its own boost to certain features it offers like for example a fake Pixar lol can offer you good animation and storytelling as the other company offers good casting and directors etc. We hope you take all this to consideration! Great game but u guys should make one like a tv show where u can renew season and make episodes buy tv show from other networks type of game.
Devs need to make a tv network one ASAP where you can make tv shows and make movies like Netflix.
Needs better money management options, like example to take out loans if you come up short. Also should probably give you more starting money as well, options are limited with starting cash. Needs better AI, as the other companies make ridiculous money off their releases, and your starting releases never yield more than 20 million, and theirs yield 100 of millions. That definitely needs to be adjusted, as well as giving you more stuff to start with like a stage, and some landscapes and editing etc. Also, the price of actors really needs to be fixed as your starting because they do good in other companies movies and it really drives up your price to create a film. If all of those things get fixed this would be the greatest movie tycoon game out.
We like playing but a bit glitchy. Would be great if there were graphics for reviews, maybe a way to make promos, logos etc.
Theres so much we like abt this game but one thing we hate is that the game resets after 35years and we cant do stuff that we’ve planned because of that time limit we will even pay to remove that time limit.
The first time we downloaded this game, we really enjoyed it and played it all the time. After a while, we downloaded other apps and deleted this one cause we hadnt played it in a while. We’ve now downloaded it again because we saw it while scrolling through the list of apps we have purchased and wanted to enjoy the experience of managing a movie studio again. Of all the movie studio/movie making apps similar to this one, and there arent many that we’ve seen, this one has always been better to us. It gives you, for the most part, a realistic look and approach at trying to become a successful movie studio tycoon! We do like the addition of real-world scenarios like sets and stages burning down and having to rebuild them as well as cast and crew illnesses and injuries that cause delays in movie production. It makes the whole experience even more like the real-deal. There are some suggestions for some improvements and features that Id like to see incorporated into this game. For example, as said by the other couple of reviews we’ve seen, it needs a little more depth in terms of feedback. For example, after a movie ends it box-office run, it would be nice to see a rating system implemented that rates the cast, crew, and movie genre, to give you a better idea of how the audience liked your casting and crew-hiring decisions and how much they like the genre you chose. The only thing that tells us how it did is the size of the post-marketing box-office return you get (how much you make off the movie). We did notice that it seems a little more difficult to become successful quickly than the first time we downloaded and played the game. In other words, the first time we played, Id make one or two movies and already be sitting at about $40 or $50 million dollars budget to use for the next movie. Now, you really have to manage your budget wisely on your first movie and hope it is successful enough to let you upgrade your studio to make bigger and better movies cause if you spend big on your first film and it becomes a box-office bomb with a small return, your studio can go broke very quickly. To conclude, this truly is an enjoyable gaming experience that we would definitely recommend to anyone who desires to experience the world of movie studio management! This game has so much potential which is why we really hope to see more updates and improvements in the future!
All and all we think this is a thorough and well put together representation of production decisions. The off-brand names for recognizable actors and crew are really fun. Its super satisfying to A) survive the initial 5 years and B) make hella money off of movies while climbing the ranks. Some things we would like to see added are the actors could use pictures for reference year by year stats personal stats section to view oscies results for at least the year Thank you for making this game! We havent seen one like it yet on the app store.
If they could make it so the actors didnt get as overpriced once you start making a lot of money this game would be perfect.
This game could easily be made much better. We have one complaint, we are trying to release a movie, but it says wait for original. Th original one has been out of theaters for years. Can this be fixed?
The best movie sim game for iOS, and at a reasonable price. One problem is actor inflation. Actors are far too expensive in the late game, and there are no more cheap movies. Some suggestions are adding DVD sales or actors accepting percentages of box office revenue.
We like the game a lot but it really could use a major update overhaul! Like a tv division, the option to do a mini series, cinematic universes, reviews for movie and actor performances would also be much appreciated and add actor\director stats.
Needs lots of work. The actors become ungodly expensive towards the end of the game (cheapest being around 40MM in some saves). Theres no feedback about what youre doing with budgets or anything so its kinda all random and willy nilly guess work. Game also crashes quite frequently. Its fine for a cheap game but needs updates to make it worth your time.
The game is not bad at all. We just think it need more improvements. We paid money to have this game so we believe it should get more updates. As you progress in the game the actors get higher and higher to pay for , making it hard to produce a movie when you barley generating money as it is because of high studio fees. You guys should remove studios firers also. That make the game 10x worser. And could you guys update the theme of the game!!!

This might be unique to us, but every time a pop-up shows up, we cant click OK. Also, you have buy certain studios, to produce certain genres? Thats just unrealistic, especially for a game that claims to give the Hollywood experience.
Add different genres like musicals, animation, sports, and history. Also should add DVD revenues and streaming service revenue. The actors get more expensive after year 10 and movies barely make money even with everything being with the highest money available. Also should add more actors and actresses so its not the same ones in every movie and maybe add an option for tv shows.
The game is unplayable on the iPhone 13 screen. Please release an update to adjust it, so we can play.
The game doesnt do anything but set your stages on fire no instructions no hints crap game.
To start, this game is 95% text and its incredibly bland. Theres no actual studio or lots that grows or changes, its a picture you buy in a menu; boring. With all the other phone games available with thriving, evolving worlds, this feels incredibly disappointing and lacking. There is no real interaction or growth with any of the cast / crew you can hire; they exist as a name with a price and literally nothing else. The films you make only exist as titles with numbers … Also the actual requirements to make movies is unbelievably limited and rigged. You can ONLY make certain genres with certain set pieces? Everything about this game is bad and could be way better.
We spend weeks making low budget movies building a nice bank roll and as soon as we step it up to a big budget we get wiped out with a bunch of crap every studio burns down and the weeks just go by waiting to release the film but it never comes. Run out of money game over. FLAWED PROGRAMMING.
This has some potential but all randomized, so pointless on what you pick. Also aside from injuries which we can see delaying the film. Having one of our studios burning down once every other film became redundant and fairly annoying.

No real tracking on where your movies are in the production. They might sit in marketing for over a year with you spending money and have no idea what the status is.
We literally have let over 6 years pass without a movie going into production. Either thats normal, which would be crazy… Or Im doing things wrong. All areas show green.. What am we doing wrong??.
This game no longer receives any updates and it blocks you out after 35 years. Games average but it could be better if you can go pass 35 years.
Jus bought the game for our iPhone 13 and it does now work. It keeps force closing its self. Doesnt even let us play. We would like our money back.
This game is good but in need of a update it can be addictive at times but having a cut off year is unacceptable this game should go on and on.
Probably the best realized movie tycoon sim on iOS though thats not saying much. The game gives you great control over your product and the game flow is simple but addicting. Where the game falls short is in the details and the feedback mechanisms. For instance, you may be able to control your production budget but theres nothing that tells you if you distributed your money correctly. Same with actors. Theres a ton of them to chose from but no indication of their strengths, popularity or even how they did in your movie. The only feedback you get is from awards and theyre not very well integrated. (Minor point: seems weird to have so many options for production an so few awards. Why am we wasting time casting supporting actors or setting makeup budgets it we dont know what thats getting me) we just ended up picking at random and by the end it can become a slog because theres no strategy to back up the simulation. Like we said if you want a movie game then pick this one up. There are much worse ones out there.
This game is a lot of fun. It could use a new update with new features though. Like bring in a finance page so you can see your weekly finances. Also maybe some other updates to make the game more appealing. Thanks for the game.

Crashes regularly. No tutorial. Not as interactive as other tycoon games. Glad it was only 99 cents.
We mean the game has potential but there isn’t a clear way to maximize profit or any strategy to make the best movie. It’s just random chance that your movie does well or you get enough stars to beat out the NPC movies. Really think the whole game needs to be overhauled to make it where your movies have more of a chance to be successful than the npc movies.
We love this game as a whole. The one thing we hate is it’s unpredictability, there is no guideline on how to win the game or how to make the most profit of one’s films, such as when to release one type of film vs another. As of 3/7, this game had made a step in the right direction. They added awards, reviews of scripts, and random events, but what we need now is actor rankings, to know which actors to use in our films, after all, some actors are better at one genre over the other. Overall, an improvement is an improvement, and we appreciate the makers for doing this. Really means a lot to us movie lovers. Looking forward to, hopefully, another update soon. :-)

Wow, this is probably the best movie tycoon we have ever played. Here are some ideas that you should add if you want us to give you 5 stars: Units, see how much people bought your movie or watched it. Different background, we’re just so used to the original, we get sick from it. Thanks for reading.
