Good storyline, a bit much in terms of witchcraft but its part of the story. Had to skip a few minigames and we got lost a number of times, but we had hints enabled.
Decided we would stop and write a review. Its a good story line. We will warn you that theres a lot of reading if you want to keep up with the story. The graphics are beautiful, different HO games and the puzzles are challenging enough without being frustrating. So for we highly recommend this game. Cant wait to see how it ends.

Great game. We played it some time ago and Im curious as to when you are going to have new releases? Ive been replaying all the games released years ago. There hasnt been any new hog in months for the iPad. Is Big Fish still in business? Please let us know if we can look forward to more great adventures from you.
The graphics are stunning as you go through the plot and solve the mystery. Even the music in the background compels you to keep on moving on without stopping, we couldnt let ourselves stop in the middle of solving the mystery. Because of it, we finished it within a few hours after getting the app the same day. The plot in itself was a very interesting concept, we look forward to the sequel.
Really enjoyed this nice long adventure. All bugs have been fixed since it's initial release Beautiful graphics, great storyline with character voices. Hidden object scenes are interactive and clever. Collectibles & Morphing objects to find. Very helpful teleporting map. Puzzles were also fun. Overall, this is a well done game and well worth purchasing. Hope you all enjoy this one as much as we did. We actually found it better than what has been released lately. Buy, Play & Enjoy!!! Really enjoyed the game. Do you guys do any happy stories? These are always so dark and dreary. Would love to see this kind of puzzle with happy content. What you think.
We needed to learn how to work this but realized how. Some games can not forward without completing and hard to figure but got through it also.
Hops are varied, including list, silhouette, and finding pairs. Puzzles range from easy to medium. Storyline is fun; we like the 18th century setting. We felt it was a little short, only about 25 scenes in the main game. No glitches. Collectible morphing objects in every scene once you break out of prison. Also collectible cameos, that open another hop when youre done with the main game. Bonus game was short, but they usually are. Worth playing.
Nice fairytale story line. Since it is difficult to find games with no horror, this one is a winner. Non-violent. Supernatural themes so some skulls, etc. Graphics are good, but a little murky in spots. HOS were original and mini games mostly easy. Nicely done cut scenes. Game play was good, but the map didnt always show where you were supposed to be. One star off for poor navigation.
Nice game but continuous demands by Big Fish for rating reflects their greed.
When we played this a year ago it was too glitchy to play. However 4Friends updated it and it was a very good game. We will keep the review brief, as it's an older game. The storyline was about love and redemption. Beautiful graphics, plenty of locations. There are morphing objects and portraits to collect; if you collect all the portraits you can play a bonus HO. There was a marked teleport map, which also stored notes, clues and achievements. The map enabled brisk and fluid transport to other locations. Inventory items were labeled and interactive and there were complex items to assemble. The HO scenes had variation and some were more like puzzles. The puzzles/games were not very original; most were rotational in nature. You have a magical amulet to use. The gameplay was mostly smooth and this game was enjoyable to play. It was a decent length with the bonus adventure, but could have been longer we would like to see more from this developer. Our true rating is 4.5 stars. We deducted a half star for length and for a bit of trouble when attempting to use inventory. However it was still an enjoyable game! Lynxie sends to the DTE and all the gamers who enjoyed this beautiful game.
This game was fairly good but only took a few hours to do.
Was enjoying the game until we got to the camp and have the same problem as another person, have the three cannon balls but it wont let us use them.
This game would be good if it wast so infuriating! 1-You have to tap multiple times before the item response, 2-the developer doesnt need to put in the game Resume the game … Naturally youre going to resume the game. If not, then you just close it! And lastly, the Skip button takes forever to fill in – we dont like mini games so we usually skip those. This is why this game gets 3 stars! Update : Now Im in the camp, have 2 cannonballs left to fire and no matter how many times we try to fire, nothing works! The reviewers are right, this game has issues.
We like this game but Im stuck in the camp scene with 3 cannon balls left and without the opportunity to finish this scene Im out our $6.99 :(.
We bought this game and a bunch throughout the years and now they want us to pay for all of them again. We have never had this problem with playing them over but now they want us to buy all of them again.
This is another game which shows promise. We've only played the free version, and it's now on our watch list. We won't buy until the price is better. Update: we bought it. But, we're disappointed. The game has no logic, and won't allow you to do things at your own pace. For example: you see a hedge clipper. You know you need to cut the vines, but you can't do it because the game wants you to do something else first, even though it is unrelated to the clippers or vines. That type of thing happens over and over again. Then there are places you need to investigate, but they put it so close to the bottom of the page, that when you tap it, it goes to the previous scene. We needed to knock out a guard. We had a hammer, but we couldn't use it. We had to go get a spider to put on him before we could knock him out. He's out cold, but there are guards between you and the next scene. No problem, take his coat and you miraculously can walk through the guards. Must be an invisibility cloak. Hurry, call Harry Potter! Duh! We found this game annoying. We're sorry we bought it, even at the price of $2.99. The tasks are often boring. There are language problems. The "stick figures" aren't stick figures, they're silhouettes. The "opposites" you need to find arent opposites, they're related to one another. And there are several more such problems. Jump back and forth constantly for virtually no reason, other than to add time to the game. Leave a cat wrapped in a net for several more scenes, even though you have a knife to free it. Etc. Etc. We haven't finished it. We're bored, so we just stopped to write this review. But, by the time we finish, and completed the bonus chapter, we found that we enjoyed it more than many Ive played lately. Isn't THAT a sad statement! So, if you're hungry for a game to play, you might want to give this one a try. It gets better as you play. But, the developer of this game surely missed the mark we think he/she wanted to hit. Maybe the next time they will do better. And, hopefully, get someone with a better English vocabulary to translate.
Hints keep running you in circles, and dont even hint at what needs to be done. The map doesnt show hints either, so youre left running in circles not having any idea how to move forward.
OK so this game was fun at first. And then it just started glitching like crazy and now wont let us finish the game.
We bought this at the special price of $2.99; Apple Store Shows our Purchase; Big Fish Games, Inc. Wont Let us Play and wants us to pay again !! Looks Like Big Fish is just offering this special price just to scam people out of money.
The game could be great. But it has issues. In the part where your suppose to put things back where they belong. The drum wont take the second drumstick. And we can't get the cannon to fire.
Can't finish the game.. Please fix.
We were enjoying this game for both story and visuals and then… First the map started failing–no longer showing where actions were. Next we realized that often an action we had attempted several times would eventually be the right action but could only be completed after a non-related action had been done first. Then the hint button, rarely used until malfunctions started increasing, sent us into random directions, back and forth. And finally, as noted by others, getting the book in the cemetery crashes the game. We kept trying but finally had to give in–the game cannot proceed beyond this point. Definitely needs a fix.
The game ejects us from the app when we pick up the book in the cemetery. We have reset, restarted, shut down other apps all without resolution. Also the Hint is pretty hopeless and points in apparently random directions at times. It says we have nothing to do in an area, then we click on something and find we DO have something to do. The map does not show where there are actions to be taken although the legend says it should. Oh and you have to click on things in the right order for them to respond in many scenes. For example, in the cemetery we have to click on the church door before the tomb statue will respond to clicking. Very frustrating AFTER we pay.
In the cemetary scene, while trying to take the book from Giselle, the game crashed. Tried everything suggested to get it going again. It occurred while playing the game for the second time, am reinstalling it now . Will ask for money back if no success. Third play and crashing over and over in that same place . We would like our money refunded. How do we go about it?J. Collins Frustration has turned to anger. Fix IT NOW After umpteen times trying every fix still crashing and tossing us out of the game at the book- when are you going to take care of the issue so many people are having? It is wrong to keep our money for a game we cannot play.
We never had the chance to play that game, right away after we purchased it we pressed play and it closed the game completely and everytime we try again it shut off! We are very disappointed cause we paid and wasn't able to play it! We should get our money back.
We are having same problem as the others. The game stops when trying to get the book from Giselle's headstone in the cemetery. It completely knocks us out of the game. Every time we start over, it does the same thing. We hope someone can fix this ASAP.

We're getting pretty tired of big fish selling the same games under different names. Greedy much.
Can go no further. Instant crash at attempting to collect book in cemetery from hand of woman. Numerous times. Ugh! Hint button and map are of no use during game; poorly executed. Grrrrrrr. Refund.
