Like that the free version is playable for so long! Great mechanics! Unfortunately we encountered a bug when we ran out of lives and purchased the paid version in day 10. All of our upgrades were reset to 3 and Im stuck on day 10 too weak to win and unable to go back to level one to rebuild our upgrades. Please fix! Or is there some option to go back to level 1 that we cannot see?

We love this game, but for some reason every time we go to play it, it shows us what day and how many players have reached that point but everything else is black and it wont let us play. And we really want to play.

We used to play this game all the time, but now that we have restrictions, we can’t play it, because it’s +17!!! If you guys can change the age rating, please do. Other than that, this is a phenomenal game!

You have to play like Eastwoods character would in The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly rather than going at it like Rambo. People complaining about paying to win arent thinking like a chess game. You have to play moves & countermoves in your head, before committing to an action. Its about being clever, not blasting everyone in your path. The widespread bug that stops the game on the map/progress screen is real. Can happen at any level, judging by reviews. For us, its level 5, round 3. The bug is a game killer, with no way around except to restart your progress. Otherwise, its a nicely polished strategy game with a fantastic theme.

Awesome game, but Im on Day 5 and when we launch the app and click storymode, the map comes up and then quickly disappears, then nothing happens afterwards. Please fix! We wanna play.

The goal of the game should be to kill everyone rather than escape as its too easy to just jump to the exit.

The concept of this game is excellent. We paid the $2 and am very happy with the purchase. However. There is a really annoying glitch on the iPad version. If your character is in the lower left area and you try to use one of your specials it will either move you that direction in stead or move you and use the special if it is the healing one. We tried to turn off the swipe controls but that option does not actually turn off the swipe controls. It just enabled the ability to touch where you want to move.

Infinite West is a very clever use of chess-like strategy in an Old West theme. Your lone gunfighter faces am increasing number of enemies on each level. There are different types of enemies, each of which can only attack in certain ways (like chess pieces can only move in certain ways), such as straight horizontally or vertically, or diagonally, or to any adjacent space, etc. Your goal is to use your various moves and upgrades to defeat them so that you can move on to the next level. (Yes, you can get to the exit point and go to the next level without killing all of the enemies, but that’s not the point of the game.) we played and was entertained for several hours before we decided that I’d beaten the game because we had collected all of the upgrades and could win each new level. In other words, we got to a point where the game wasn’t getting any harder. That’s the only reason that we gave it 4 stars instead of 5: the computerized opponent that controls the enemy pieces isn’t super clever. We did not encounter any major bugs. Very occasionally, the "watch video" button (I was playing the free version) did not work so we had to hard exit the app, but everything worked fine when we restarted it and it had not lost our place.

People seem to have 3 main complaints about the game, only one of which we consider valid. (1) we get surrounded in game and have no options but to use an item, and if we dont have any items we lose. This is a strategy game; the scenario people are describing is a lose condition, deal with it. This actually takes us to a compliment, this game handles micro transaction very well. The micro transactions purely act as an easy mode and in theory a perfect player wouldnt even need them. We like this a lot, and for those of you out there that get into the scenario described in (1), either you recognize you loss or micro transaction your way out of it. (2) too many ads! The developers decided to make a game where the gameplay came first, not the monetization. This is not a freemium game, its a trial. The ads are meant to tell you to buy the game, and you should, for 2 bucks its a steal. (3) bugs This is the only valid complaint. The give up button doesnt work, and sometimes actions are registered accidentally (swipe to move is pretty dumb, we highly recommend you disable it in settings) we truly hope the devs fix this, if they do we will bump this score from a 4 to 5. Closing This a well designed game with a clean aesthetic that isnt predatory. The definitive version of this game is the paid version, consider the free version a trial you should switch off of after you reach day 5-6. New Features? We have only 2 simple requests. First, we would really like buttons for movement in the bottom left corner of the screen. We dont like swipe because its inaccurate, and dont like tapping the player and then the destination because it is too many taps. Second, and this is just for fun, it would be cool to have really quick replay of a level after you beat it (similar to the pc game superhot) otherwise dont change anything else, the game design is great the way it is!

We made it to day 5, after playing for hours at least :), but then we got to the 5th level and it shows the map for a few second and the goes black with only day 5 heading on the top. Frustrating.

The concept of the game is great! But definitely the developer needs to update their game for. We found some bugs in the game.

Made it pretty far, died and wanted to give up and restart. Every time we press give up, it doesnt work and we’ve tried closing the game and it still doesnt work.

Love the idea so far but there seems to be a glitch. When you end up directly next to an enemy you can move your piece to to kill them, even if nothing else is around. Its like you need an empty space to move but that doesnt make sense as a rule. Helppppp.

Just hangs when we open it. Started a month ago. But no updates in a while, so developers mightve abandoned it. Id hold off buying until theres an update that fixes the game.

This game is so cool! We love the aesthetic and all that good stuff, just kinda sad you gotta pay for the full version :/

Keeps hanging in both game modes. Developers are you still paying attention??

You have to get really inventive after a few levels but we like that in a game. Id rate it higher but at level 5 the game loads the map and then the screen freezes.

We think this is a fun game, but the title is very misleading. We played the game for about 5 minutes and could no longer progress without paying (or watching advertisements, which is also a form of payment).

First off, this is a fun puzzle game in the vein of the GO series of games (Hitman GO, Lara Croft GO, and Deus Ex GO). We recommend that much. But there are some pretty major issues… There is no way to reset your progress without erasing your purchases too! We paid to unlock the full game, and made a lot of progress, but after dying we had to keep playing from that point yet without any of the upgrades we had earned, which made further progress practically impossible. We wanted to go back to day one, and it warned us that it would erase our revives and refills (which was fine, as we had used them all), but didnt tell us it would get rid of our purchase too! Theres not even a restore purchases button. We wanted to contact the developer about this, but their website has disappeared. If you play this game, Id recommend not putting any money into it!

The game doesnt start up every time you open it. Our device is an iPhone X. We bought the no ad version.

We enjoy this game a lot but have had it break on us twice, failing to load the level after returning to the campaign. It basically gets to the map then goes blank forever. We fixed it by resetting the game which lost our progress but it happened again. Really disappointing because the mechanics are enjoyable, if a little simplistic.

It is cool to think of the strategy side of it … Playing like a chess game, you need to think of everyone elses move … There are some minor flaws – sometimes starting out if you dont have the jump ability … You are going to get killed quick … Allow the ability to play with strategy and not pay to win…. The biggest flaw is that after playing , it wont allow us reload from a save point .. It just starts to say where we last was , but wont load the game … That needs to be fixed.

We like the game. Played it, decided to purchase it. Once we purchased it, it wouldnt let us Give Up instead of buying a Revive. It just wont accept that decision. Other than that, we like the game.

*Controls are a bit squidgy, mostly because the gameplay grid is offset by 45 degrees, so sometimes the character doesnt move as youd expect him to. *Why cant we give up instead of using a revive? The button is right there, why not make it work? We get that youre trying to sell those revives, but instead you drove us away from your game after 5 minutes.

Infinite West is a great in concept and execution. Its like a more complicated game of chess with a western theme and really cool art style. However, as others have pointed out, its not uncommon to run into a bug that renders the main mode unplayable. After we purchased the full game unlock we would repeatedly run into a bug that would not let us make a selection to continue or quit after a failure that meant that we force close the app. This would work and let us get playing again… Until it didnt. Now if we try to load our save we get a black screen with the day number at the top and nothing else. Force closing the app no longer solves the problem. We would definitely recommend Infinite West if it werent for this issue. Dont spend your money until this gets fixed but when it does, by all means give it a go.

Im currently on day 6 and have left the game. Afterwards whenever we try to play the campaign the screen shows up and the map disappears but then it freezes and we are unable to play that mode.

The unlock the whole game for $1.99 is a straight up lie. This game is tuned so you have to spend money. Gfy.

This game seems like such a great idea, and it is fun for the first few levels. But there is a bug (at least on the X) when you get to day 2 – it hangs and wont let you proceed. Not to mention if you fail a board you have to start the entire level over again. Very frustrating. Even though this has the challenge you want from a strategy game, what started out fun quickly becomes tedious. Good for the developers to try a new approach, but save the money until some of the bugs get fixed.

We finally deleted the app after our third instant death. You watch an add to play the next level and as soon as it starts 6 guys go first and kill you. Game over. Thats not infinite.

[Paid version] Screen goes to black on startup. Was interesting when it worked. Waiting for update/fix.

Im sorry we bought the premium. Its fun but they make it easy to die and if you do you can either start over from the beginning or spend money for revives that will evaporate quickly. If they fix that Ill re-rate otherwise avoid and save your money.

When we die, the give up button doesnt work and forces us to close out of the app if we want to start over.

We had purchased the full game and thought hey old west style chess cool Right? Not! When you get to the third day it has a bunch of issues with level loading and if you die on day 3 you will be forced to close out of the app to start back were you left off if even that. We were very unhappy with this and likely will be requesting a full refund.

First, the gameplay is awesome and a blast. The IAP structure isnt too obtrusive to the experience, either, so it doesnt feel like youre being constantly solicited. Our only complaint, and its not small, is the bugs. We’ve repeatedly run into the game freezing on the screens that say what land or day youre on, and the only way around it is to reset all of your progress and restore purchases (if youve bought the full game). Re-downloading and resetting the phone doesnt help with the issue either. The gameplay deserves 5-stars, but the bugs are really intrusive to the experience.

It is a fun concept, but thirst of money kills games. Maybe we did not understand the dynamic of infinite, or keep trying when you die. For us its okay to watch adds for a good game, to support in any way we can, and if we really like the game, buy it. But in this case we were very disappointed with the game after learning that you loose all your upgrades when you die. It makes it pointless to develop your character, if it disappears (when you die) if you dont pay. We hate pay to win games. Then it doesnt make sense to get upgrades, but always refill your abilities. Maybe that is the way it was intended to be, but it creates a very frustrating gaming experience. If you the money, it is still a fun game! 4 stars.

Havent been able to play it long enough for a review, good or bad because we cant play it. $1.99 went pretty far.

Its a good game. But you have to pay for it… Free to play stops working once you die.

We should have. This game was enjoyable so we bought it. Now Im encountering the black screen bug. Had to install / reinstall and restore purchases once. That cleared the error only to return again at stage 5! How can we remedy this?? Im frustrated that we paid for this and Im additionally frustrated by the fact that several other people have encountered this with no fix? Come on.

Purchased full game. Will not advance past Day 2 black screen.

We seldom write reviews, and when we do, it is usually for a game we found exceptionally good. BUT, this is ludicrous. We were intrigued by the strategy element of the game and decided to give it a try. Worked quickly through to day 4 or 5 and everything going great. A reasonable challenge and how you plan ahead does make a difference. So we buy the game – a whole $1.99 :) Immediately, all upgrades we earned are removed! Ok, Ill just work through the first 5 days again? No, here we are with 3 bullets and about 10 advanced enemies. Ok Ill just battle our way through? 3 of the guys shoot us at the same time and a screen pops up…….. Give up (restart day and lose your upgrades) or Buy a revive? WHAT? We paid 2 bucks for 8 seconds of play?!? Hmmmm, let us see how to go back to day 1 and start over. We check ever menu tap on everything that looks like a restart and finally find reset with a message – this will reset your game to day 1 and remove any upgrades or other purchases. We press the button……… Start screen comes up with Buy Game – 40 % off? We kid you not……… Now we have to buy the whole game again?!? We deleted game tried restoring purchases, nothing. It looks like a fun game, but no way am we paying twice for the same thing. Be warned! UPDATE: After the above, we had rated it a 2 because of its potential. We discovered that it had not reset on our phone (still asking us to buy again on I-pad), so we played to the end of day 9 or 10. Result ….. Im downgrading it to a 1. These developers need to decide if they are going to charge you for the game or charge you to continue into the harder levels but NOT both. The moment you used up your lives, (and believe us it is difficult when youre fighting 12-15 guys that take 2 shots each to kill), they want to charge you for additional lives. WHAT? We bought the game!?! You cant charge us to play now! Oh, hold on theres a give-up button to start the day again. Huh! We get to face the same 12-15 bad guys except now we have lost every single upgrade and have 3 bullets, 3 dashes, and 3 lives! If we couldnt beat them when fully upgraded, how on earth am we supposed to beat them now??? Oh, silly us, pay extra for additional lives? No way!!! Money Grab Alert! This is one customer (read sucker) that will not buy anything from these guys ever again!

Good game, but way too many ads. After the first four levels, there is an ad every second level. We understand the developers make most of their money from ads, but that is just a little excessive.

We paid for this game to support the developers, and that was a mistake. After the first few levels, the game becomes literally impossible without lots of upgrades. They exists in the game, but the game doesnt provide nearly as many as you need when youre up against 7+ gunfighters at once, so youll be forced to buy extra lives to make up the difference. At that point, its no longer a test of strategy; its a test of how much money youre willing to drop. And thats not very fun. If you want to see this concept done right, go buy Into the Breach (no iOS yet though), a much better game, and much more honest.

The game seems fun… And we would be more than happy to pay for a fun game… But not continue to buy lives, revives, etc. After that… Gross practice…

Honestly the game would get five stars from us, but we have hit a bug that makes the game unplayable. If we play in the normal mode it opens to the Day 9 Map but the map disappears and leaves a black screen with just Day 9 written on it. The screen stays the same indefinitely. If this issue gets fixed then we will be happy to update our review.

Paid for full game yet game continues to freeze on level 1. Over and over and over. It gets stuck on the black screen that says level 1 and will not continue. Sometimes close the app and reopen and it works. But other times doing so multiple times will not help. Otherwise great game, IF you can get it to open and play *Update, we paid to upgrade and by Day 20+ ALL our collected upgrades dissapeared. We started all over and now on Day 5 and again back to black screen. Won’t open, deleting game. Stay away, not worth playing. Top many major issues.

We like the gameplay but we’ve hit a bug that doesnt allow the game to ever load the next level.

After playing the first few levels, we were convinced that this game is worth the money, but soon we realized we were wrong. First of, paying money is suppose to unlock a new campaignland mode) and enable us to save some progress in Day Mode. But guess what, the BUG made the entire Day Mode unavailable to play. So you only get half of what you purchased. DONT BUY Furthermore, the enemy in this game is too smart, especially in Land Mode, it is probably smart in Day Mode as well but SINCE we CANT EVEN PLAY IT, we dont know. The enemies in this game are so smart that they give you NO CHANCE AT ALL, they can trap you in a corner and keep us trapped forever. As a result, you cant get far unless you pay again for upgrade. Because the enemies make no mistakes, you cant kill them unless you use special skills, which are limited unless you pay again. In general, screw you developer, this game is so bad that we wouldnt play it even if its free.

It’s a great game but every often there’s a bug where it shows a black screen with music playing and the day number written on top. We cannot go back to the menu or do anything except kill the app. Then the menu shows up and when we tap on play the same thing happens. We have to go to settings and then reset it. There’s no way around this bug. This results in us having to play from the start. We were much inclined to buy the di Version before this bug started to appear. Bad job QA team. Expected much more.

There is a bug, which lets us click the play button, and then nothing happens. Just a dark loading screen that says day 3. It was good up until that point, meaning we liked it when it was working. It now does this for both of the modes that the game offers, rendering the entire app un-playable. We really liked this game and we thought there would be less issues for an app you have to pay 2 dollars for.
