We will be playing this game again. The puzzles and combat are nicely balanced, although at times the combat felt clunky and awkward. The true marvel of this game is the depth of the story that unfolds. It was nothing like we anticipated and frankly, it blew our mind. The emotional response this story evokes is a shining gem in a realm saturated by lackluster stories. Inmost will be with you for a long time to come.

Dont have much to say, we just really enjoyed it!

This game is a true masterpiece. The way that the story connects with so much symbolism and depth makes us sad. The story is heartbreaking and brings so much to the table. Not only is the story good but the gameplay and mechanics are so easy and convenient. This game is an absolute W and is potentially the best mobile game we will ever play.

This game has a great plot and beautiful art.

Everything about this game is amazing- we couldnt put it down! Absolutely worth checking out!

Its just so good. The puzzle solving of the girl scenes shine out, without pulling away or feeling unnatural from the rest of the game. The knight scenes are also a gem, with his hunched over posture and strikes making you feel unbeatable. The tense old man scenes where you need to cleverly find your way around enemies and discover pain crystals tie it all together incredibly. This is just such a great game, making us feel for the characters and the situations theyre in. The only bad point is that sometimes youll miss a button and end up dying, but the generous checkpoints nullify the problem. You can tell lots of time and love went into making this game, with every area having perfect lighting and design, and the smooth character animations making this game a beauty to behold.

And when we say "awesome story", we don’t just mean that this is a walking simulator. This game has engaging gameplay the whole way through that really meshes so beautifully with the narrative, such that it becomes impossible to tell apart (which is exactly what a good game should do, in our opinion). Each bit of the narrative that you unlock isn’t just a location or plot-point to be reached, but something that genuinely feels like a part of the world for you to explore and piece together, rather than just something passively handed to you as you progress through certain parts of the level design. And, speaking of the level design, we loved it. It’s somewhat reminiscent of the "metroidvania" genre, where exploration of a cohesive environment is the key to progression rather than the completion of a segmented series of levels, but one thing that people might not like about this genre is that it can often involve a lot of backtracking as you try to figure out what parts of the map haven’t been visited yet. This game is really clever about its use of the space, though — the points of progression all manage to flow very naturally into each other, always nudging you in the right direction to prevent you from getting lost. Admittedly, there are collectibles hidden throughout the world that might become a pain to go back and find if you miss any, but the only thing that finding every single one gets you is an achievement. There are story details hidden behind certain prerequisite collectible milestones, but you don’t need to find all of them to unlock everything (you only need 60 out of 85 total). It’s pretty easy and natural to reach that number as you progress (assuming you don’t blaze past everything like some sort of speedrunner), and you’re given a pretty decent amount of leeway to not notice or find them. All in all, great game. Would recommend.

Very polished. Intriguing story, expressive animation, solid art style, and suitable soundtrack. A gem in mobile games.

Going into this game, it looked like a fun little story game with fun little pixel characters and tons of fighting and jumping and running. No sir. Its been a long time since we’ve seen something that hit us on an emotional level this hard. When you boot up the game it tells you something like it involves themes and tragic death and players are advised blah blah blah you kind of ignore it until you finish the game. Because oh our god. It was heartbreaking, so so heartbreaking. For a game in which you play 3 different main characters, they do a phenomenal job at connecting you deeply to all of them. As soon as we played this game for about 15 minutes, we were hooked and finished it next day. We promise once you play youll get very attached to each persons story, and itll keep you playing until youre all done with the game. The overall story by the way is just really cool in general. Speaking visually, the colors are beautiful. We loved the art style they chose, and was honestly blown away with the amount of detail and work put into every single scene. Also, we usually hate games that have a lot of talking in them, but you dont mind it in this one cause uh, its actually interesting. We love games that make us want to write a 5-star review, and we seriously hope this game picks up some more attention soon because its amazing.

We definitely recommend playing this. Its an INCREDIBLE game. Such a sad sad story but it was so engaging and we COULD NOT take myself away from playing this in the 5 hours that it took us to finish.

Its everything u want in a game we love it.

Just- we cant put into words how much we love this game. First of all, the art style, the animations, and the color schemes are all so well put together. Its such a visually beautiful and immersive game. Second of all, the story is also beautiful and intricately woven together. We definitely recommend playing, this is now on of our all time favorites for sure!

This game was.. We cant describe it adequately. We just finished it and tears are streaming down our face. They have been for over an hour. I. We’ve never played a game quite like this. The gameplay is amazing in and of itself, but the story and music.. (not to mention Cassandras voiceacting. We know her mainly as Sothis, and that previous experience with her voice actually makes this game hit harder) they coalesce perfectly. It was sad, yes, but.. It was sad in a way they we can understand. The feelings were relatable, and we understood everything that was going on. This game has completely readjusted our perspective on what a story about the pain of love should be. He was never a knight, you know. We were wrong. It was never a story about pain. It was a story about love. Replaying it with those in mind completely change how you read into it and its perfect. Thank you all so much for creating this masterpiece.

When we downloaded the app we saw a little of the gameplay and thought it might be a little fun game that was pretty fun but when we played it it took us to an EMOTIONAL LEVEL THAT MADE THIS GAME INCREDIBLE! The overall storyline is PACKED with sadness, Happiness, Love and horror. We think this is the ABSOLUTE BEST MOBILE GAME IVE EVER PLAYED! And to anyone who still hasnt played your in for a treat! PS: That reminds us, Halloween is coming up.

The gane has a beautiful story to it.

It’s a great indie game, both in art style and music, and the story design is excellent. Three seemingly unrelated branches point to the same path. The emotion the author wants to express is thought-provoking,thumbs up!

We loved this game and we hope you can put more games like this on here because we cried at some parts and Im usually not very emotional thats how moving this story was another thing this game was strong in was cosistency throughout the game Olay thank you for these games.

We did indeed cry during the game, however we did struggle at times. We loved it and we cannot recommend it enough.

This game was perfectly crafted. The graphics were beautiful, the games mechanics were amazing, And the story was an incredible tale of broken worlds and melancholy. There is so much more to say but Im afraid that we’ve almost run out of adjectives. This is not just your regular old pixelated mobile game it is so much more than that. Even though this game was mostly focused on the main story exploration was still possible and fun. We never would have guessed that such a deep and delightful game could exist. We only have two regrets that we were too young to truly understand the emotional aspects of the game and that this game is one of a kind and it is not likely that we will find anything like this.

This game really is beautiful. The story, the atmosphere, and the graphics just pull it all together. If youre looking for a game thats rich with a good plot, this is the one.

This game is absolutely phenomenal. We have never played a game that was so beautifully crafted yet dark and mysterious. We could not stop playing this and felt connections to all the characters so that by the end of the game, we were in tears. We will definitely be playing this game again, and we have been recommending it as much as possible. This game is breathtaking.

If youre looking for a tail of pain and happiness, this is your game. Not only is the pixel art style beautiful but the story of the game touches your heart throughout the gameplay. We personally loved the fact you got to switch between characters and you get the stories behind them in their own way. We loved the message about pain and happiness and though it seems like a lot with all the different views, the way it is set up and portrayed is upright amazing and easy to understand. This is honestly one of the best games we’ve experienced and we definitely will recommend it to friends and family. Thank you for such an amazing game.

We originally downloaded this game probably about a year ago but never had time to play it. Finally got around to it and man what game this is! A proper mobile game. No RNG, no loot box gatcha mechanics, just a short story driven game with gorgeous pixel graphics that remind us of the good old days. We wish more games like this were on Apple Arcade instead of all the other games with a + in the title which just means a gatcha game without micro transactions but with all the other gatcha mechanics left in. If you have a spare 3-5 hours, definitely give this a play though. We just wish we had played it sooner rather than sitting on it for so long.

To be honest, we found this game as a suggestion; and thankfully we played it till we finished it. Multiple storylines and then it all comes together. It was a deep story that got us and admit that this is one of the best games on apple arcade. Recommended to those that love puzzle games and great storylines. Our only critique is this game should be showcased as like game of the day. There are so many games out there that should be played, but some get lost in the shuffle, but this should definitely be highlighted and recommended.

We downloaded the game with no expectations in mind, we simply found the art style attractive. When we finally opened it for the first time, we spent the next 4 and a half hours straight playing through the game IN ITS ENTIRETY without being able to put it down. The story was incredibly immersive, everything was relatively intuitive but challenging enough to keep you involved. If we had another few hours to spare we would play through it again. There were some parts that we got lost watching the story in cutscenes, but any more clarity mightve ruined the mystery, so we couldnt complain. Amazing game through and through.

This game isn’t perfect. There are some parts where it’s way too easy to get lost, and not all the loose ends are tied up by the end. But this was such a brilliant effort that it deserves the full 5 stars. The movement limitations that come with each character could have very easily become frustrating, but instead they become a huge part of them, their fragility, and the story they bring. The atmosphere is refined to a degree that rivals the best of hollywood cinema. This game is one of the biggest reasons we’ve been recommending apple arcade to our friends.

This game is wow the storyextraordinary!!!

We started this thinking ooh pretty pixel game! What we didnt expect was to be sobbing hysterically for the last half hour of the game. 10/10.

We have no idea what the story was about, but we dont care. The game play is intuitive and draws you in. The game gives you hints when you need them and challenges you when you dont. There are points when you have to die to figure out the puzzle, but the game is considered about not making those moments tedious or repetitive. Aesthetically, its remarkable how much the game conveys emotionally with such a spare palette. Well done.

We came for the gaming, we stayed for the ambiance and atmosphere, and we loved it for the story. Genuinely a fantastic story told in such an incredible way, we loved the entire game and it was incredibly impressive what was done with it. Worthy of a standing ovation.

This game is pretty hard for us but we beat it on 1 day also the storyline is a great game also great jumpscare for the hunter 1 that got our heart beating.

Never once have we stumbled upon an IOS game that moves us so deeply as to write a review. This is not a game, it is a complete story. Extremely good gameplay, a puzzle/rpg/action/adventure game all in one, with good controls. Was in tears at the ending sequence, truly a moving game/story; a phenomenal masterpiece.

We just had to write a review. It would be selfish of us not to. This is, if not, one of the best indie games we’ve ever played before. We felt the sorrow, the hopefulness, the excitement. Everything the developers wanted to convey, the audience, us, felt. It was perfect. The pixelated feel of the game allowed the story to become more impactful. Honestly, we played this game with an empty expecting nothing much. We left with our jaw wide open, the beautiful storytelling. We would give up anything to play it again for the first time. The beautiful message at the end we thank you with all our heart for making this game. It was wonderful and we pray you make more like it. Thank you.

We didnt know what we were going to get into. We just saw there was a free Apple Arcade trial for 3 months so we just took the chance to give it a try. We are currently dealing with our own darkness and although we’ve heard many philosophers guidance but none had our eyes truly open as this game. This taught us something unforgettable.

The game is amazing and everyone should play this. But theres a bug in the game to where we cant hear an6thing, we made sure everything on our iPad was up and running, and we noticed that we could hear sound from the other apps we had. So pls fix this developer.

Found it after looking for more games by the Stardew valley creator, was not expecting it to be this amazing. We have played through this game twice, a year apart, and both times we have loved it. All the screens have detailed imagery despite the pixel style, and you feel very connected to all the characters. Im not usually one for creepy or horror games, and the hunters had our heart racing, but we thoroughly enjoyed every second of it. It was not until the second play through that we felt like we really understood the story, but the emotion conveyed through both the storytelling and gameplay was enough. 20/5 anyone reading this should definitely give it a try.

Firstly, we did not play this game with a Bluetooth controller, which is recommended. The screen controls, at times, were frustrating, especially when jumping (or not wanting to), but they were also more than adequate to still enjoy this little gem. Dying also doesnt come with any cost as you are simply respawned close to where you just died with most things left as you had interacted with them pre-death, so accidentally jumping off the ladder you are trying to climb is a minor annoyance. We finished the game in two 3-4-hour sittings. We enjoyed the environments and felt somewhat rewarded by taking time to explore, and we found the story and characters intriguing. We honestly wish they had been a little more fleshed out. SPOILERS (although not specific plotlines)*** we have to admit being a little disappointed with the last 20 mins of the game, which is essentially a long drawn out cutscene to explain the story, since none of it is actually fleshed out through the gameplay. It was frustrating that we could only watch and not interact. Because of this, we felt very disconnected from the characters when we should have felt a deeper empathy after learning what they had went through. Despite this, we would still recommend this game to anyone and enjoyed it, overall.

We were enjoying playing this game until we exited and found out that all of our progress was deleted. We went to play in one of our save slots and it started us all the way to the beginning. If there is a way to restore our progress, then please let us know because we almost made it halfway through the game. Despite that happening, this is truly an amazing game. Great pixel art and overall design!! :)

It took us 2 hours to finish the story basically and we finished with 88%. The story was good but we are still confused on the ending but overall we enjoyed it.

It is a short Game with excellent game play. Playing three different characters was really fun with three different abilities. We really enjoyed all the different details put into the game. The ending was good, and we could totally see another sequel. We do wish there was a little more interaction for the ending though.

Good game, but grabbing the lever handle deleted the key from our inventory and we couldnt move on.

The game play was not bad, but the story was a little weird and depressing at the end. Can’t say we didn’t enjoy playing it, we just didn’t care for the weird and sometimes confusing and off-putting story. Jumping around as different characters with different behaviors was kind of fun, but it wasn’t always clear what the next goal was.

This game evidently didnt have gameplay affect the story, rather the story affect the gameplay. This is fine and all, but this game goes too overboard on this, where certain parts of the game, especially the girls section feel like a walking simulator simply to tell what she discovers. The combat is not only isolated from the main section/focal character of the game, it also doesnt propose any true challenge, simply binds to the story. In fact, the story is so poorly conveyed that there has to be a twenty minute cutscene in the end, just to clear it all up. All in all, if youre subscribing to Apple Arcade just for this game, youve probably made a poor choice. Spoilers: Its a fantastical storytelling about family and children, love and suffering.

The game is interesting, and the world is clever. But, we kept hitting frustrating bugs with saving and restoring our game. Finally, our save game went from 60% to 12%, and lost hours of progress. Also, the resolution on TV is really bad. Even the Arcade loading screen is blocky.

Inmost is somewhat fun, but its ruined for several reasons: 1. Controls are quite bad whether using a keyboard or controller. Controls are often unworkable on both phone and desktop. 2. Saves are haphazard and you must replay levels youve completed when the game crashes or fails to save. 3. Game can freeze your computer or randomly throw you out of a level for no reason. The storyline is hard to follow and quite pretentious. The final and long section of the game is a movie devoid of gameplay.

We spent a lot of time playing the game. But every time we come back into continue with our progress the game resets all the way back to the beginning theres a huge problem and very annoyed.

This game seems really intriguing and we would love to play through it. The progress is not saving, however, and whenever we access a saved file, the game starts back from the beginning.

We cannot understand for the life of us why so many games are still made with pixel art in this modern age where gorgeous computer graphics can be created even by the most amateur user. We assume all the younger generations are for some weird reason enthralled with everything retro. We dont WANT to re-experience pixelated computer games. We want to experience what the modern world has made possible! Anyway, despite how much we loathe everything retro, we decided to give this a try because it had so many rave reviews. Ugh! Its just plain AWEFUL! You cant even SEE whats on the screen! We played games with cleaner graphics in the 1980s!!! There is literally nothing positive we can say about this game, and believe us we really gave it a chance. We kept thinking that maybe if we turned another corner the game would open up to something fantastic. No such luck. Also: we very rarely leave negative reviews on games, but we were so compelled to get this off our chest and we want to warn people. Dont listen to all the positive reviews. Im convinced they arent even real. They cant possibly be!

This game is wonderful. It kept us playing fully immersed for hours. We stopped playing only because it was late and went to sleep. Unfortunately, the next day when we launched the game we had to start from the beginning. The progress was lost when we exited it. It has a scene selector for all the scenes you have reached before but if you exit the game, it resets to first scene only. At first we thought its a one-time glitch. Played with it for about an hour again (I already know how to solve the puzzles so it was faster.) The game lost the progress again. Until this is fixed, we cant recommend this game.
