iOS11 support: Sorry this took so long! Jump’N’Shoot Attack found itself wrapped up in legal limbo for a few months while we worked on getting the rights back when the old publisher closed down. It has now been updated to 64-bit support, so it will work on iOS11.

This game is so overly difficult and frustrating , we had to leave our wife. If it makes you so mad, stop playing she said. Go to hell Lisa! These developers specialize in frustrating games (AVGN, the knight one) . These games are crafted by experts to make you as unhappy as possible .. After playing this game for 15 minutes we now have definitive proof that there is no just, smiling god above us. We did really like the retro style but only pee blood now..
We cant jump BEACUSE they made the gravity and health of enemies to like 300 precent and the last level is horrible the jump at the first one is dog water FIX THE GAME OR we WILL SEE IT THAT ITS REMOVED.

Love this game. We are experiencing a problem to where we always have to start on 1-1 even though we have made it to 1-4. There was one time where we were able to continue from 1-2 but that only occurred once. Please try to fix this problem. We still love this game a lot. Besides the problem definitely worth the $2.

One of the most polished mobile games we have ever played in a good while – smooth as silk controls, enticing difficulty that keeps you focused from start to finish, in short spurts no less, and great music! We expected no less from the developers and composer of Angry Video Game Nerd Adventures. Challenging, yet addicting. Familiar, yet fresh. It’s the best $2 any fan of 8-bit Sidescrollers and Mobile games could ever spend!
We practically never stop and write reviews for apps. However, we felt that we needed to put the game down after a half hour of continuous play and just compliment it. It’s hard and fun, just like most retro games. No pay-to-play nonsense. Straightforward awesomeness. Great game, very addicting, excellent work development team!

Amazing Platformer with awesome 16 bit genesis-like soundtrack. Very responsive controls and fair , but hard challenging difficulty. Don’t listen to the bad reviews they probably have faulty or dirty screens or don’t have the tiger reflexes to play this.

Made by the same guy who did Manos Hands of Fate and AVGN Adventures, it comes as no surprise that we are delivered another fantastic experience. The levels are challenging, not frustrating and the controls are tight. When you screw up, it is your own fault… And it captures the "one more try vibe." Where other runners are one and done, you’ll keep coming back to this one long after you beat it. Bravo Freakzone, bravo.
We just recently downloaded this game and we can’t get enough of it! It’s a challenging platformer that has a clear Megaman influence. Most games like this would be priced at five dollars on the App Store.
This game is really good. We enjoy it very much, but it is difficult. We hope that they can add continuous shooting by holding your finger down. But overall, 8/8.

For those who like Mega Man or Contra, we highly recommend this game. It has great quick witted platforming challenges, epic power-ups, great music, and a straight-to-the-point storyline. There are three gems in each level, and you need to collect them all on order to beat the game. If you die, it’s your fault. If we did something wrong, we knew we made a mistake whether we jumped too late, too early, didn’t shoot an enemy in time, or accidentally missed a gem. You need to take your time, and yeah, you can’t stop running, but there’s walls you can stop at to make sure there’s no enemies. It’s all about time, and it’s really tempting to jump or shoot at the wrong time, which we believe is part of the challenge. That’s why it makes it so interesting. The power-ups are super cool looking. You get a double projectile to do more damage, and if you get the power-up again, you get a triple spread shot, that can kill enemies in three angles. Jump’N’Shoot Attack is a simple and straight-to-the-point game. However, the game is not perfect. First of all, there are no bosses, which we feel like it’s perfect for this game, even if it involves running nonstop. Second of all, even if the power-ups are really cool, it’s also the only power-up in the game. And yeah, there is one-ups now and then, but we don’t necessarily think it’s a power-up, just an extra life. Why not have a power-up that gives you an extra hit, or maybe a temporary invincible power-up or even a force field. Lastly, the game is pretty short. You can take your time to beat each level, even of it gets progressively more difficult, but some people can quickly realize what they’re mistakes are, and finish the level like that. There are four worlds and four levels in each world. And each level can take less than a minute. It may not be a perfect game, but we feel like the game is bringing us back to the early NES days. Jump’N’Shoot Attack gets 4’s/5’s and yes, it’s definitely worth 2 dollars.
This is a great game. It’s addictive to struggle to overcome each level. The challenge is enough to keep you coming back, but not so bad that to make a casual gamer (like myself) quit. Even after beating it, we find myself coming back to it again because there’s a certain satisfaction in trampling over the levels that once gave us grief. The controls are as close to perfect for this style as you’ll get… 85% of the time. There will be times you’re sure you hit jump, but somehow the shooting ate your jump. Or sometimes the jump doesn’t hold as long as you pressed it, due to a slight change in pressure from your finger. These aren’t drawbacks in the control scheme, just byproducts of playing with oily human fingers (mostly). Positives: Fun gameplay and challenge. Negatives: Control (slightly) and some of the jumps are just a bit too frame perfect for this control scheme (for our taste). Overall Opinion: Definitely buy it! It’s worth the asking price.
It does feel a bit like megaman, it’s fun, good level design. Can’t stop thinking it might be more fun with onscreen controls tho. Also, we can’t unlearn 20 years of jumping with our right hand, so I’d appreciate a setting to flip the controls around :) Finally, there seems to be no way to contact the developers – the app support link just goes to a promotional page. That’s why we’re writing here.
We love this game but we hate the non stop running for this style of game. Can we please get an option for onscreen controls?!?! We’ll give ya 5 stars if you can make that happen!
This game is trying to make it look like its the next mega man, but it’s not even close. This game is more like "Geometry Dash" than anything else. You cat control the character, all you can do Is jump and shoot while the game forces you to move to the right. You can’t move! You only go to the right! And you die CONSTANTLY. Don’t get this game. It’s not worth 1.99.
The zero amount of control is horrendous. Sure, you can jump and shoot but your jumps have to be precisely on point or you die, over and over again until you learn this game is a true waste of your life. We can understand wanting to play a fun 2D model game but you’d get a better app in the free game category. We’re disappointed in ScrewsAttack and we can’t say we’ll take up one of their games again, after this failure.
The guy moves to fast and jumping is off also would like if we can move him myself.
The likeness of this game alone will make you think you’re getting an mega-man esque type game. Instead what you get is just another run and jump game. Which is a BIG disappointment cause we really would had more fun playing it that way than this uncontrollably mess of a game. To not be able to control your character in a game like this is an missed opportunity of fun players could have had with this game. A shame this game turned out to be yet another clone with a decent paint job and okay quality content. If you like another dash and jump into your library of redundant app games, then this is for you. If not then we suggest you go play games like "Bill Kill’em" it may not have an end game with levels in it but it’s the closest you’re gonna get to a platform shooter.
Waste of $2. Does not recognize half of the jumps. They should be smooth and responsive and not having people who paid money pounding on the screen of their phone hoping it might recognize it. Iphone 6.
Downloaded because of the obvious megaman influence. Figured id get a decent megaman type game. This game is so horribly horrible. Please whatever you do save yourself the $2.
