Been playing kaw since 2011 and love the strategy/war based system. Game takes a lot of grinding but the community within is very helpful. Worth taking the time to learn everything kaw has to offer.
Over all still a good game and lots of help growing our kingdom with the events.. But the only furniture that drops for the most part is a wall or rug never pets or chairs or anything that makes a difference in defense and attack.
Title speaks for itself but Ill go into more detail here. We’ve played this game for about 12 years now and have seen all the ebbs and flows of this game over the years and have followed closely how the game is maintained and operated. While we commend the current dev team for making an effort to bring new things in, overall, the game is way past its prime, in its twilight we would say, and it seems the devs are aware so they are just trying to squeeze as much money out of the playerbase as they can before they pull the plug altogether. When will that be? No one knows. Its honestly a shame because this game had everything a PVP-MMO lover would enjoy. But they have scrapped features of the game that were accessible to the whole playerbase for features that are honestly locked behind a paywall in one way or another, directly or indirectly. This game is no longer friendly to new players nor returning players from long breaks, and thats due to the amount of progress that must be made in order to get back to end-game content. The devs have done a LOT to help players bridge the gap, but still, honestly if you want to catch up in a meaningful amount of time you have to be ready to drop money on the game, which is a huge turn-off for a lot of players who are not sure in the first place if they want to even spend money on the game. We pay the occasional $20 here or there (like around the holidays) but am not a pay-to-play guy, so we know Im perpetually behind the guys who do spend and spend big. Im fine with that because we’ve played long enough where we dont need to spend big to get good rewards and whatnot, but we know we are not in the majority. If youre a new player or a returning player considering KaW, Id recommend to look the other way unless it is only pure nostalgia that drives you, and even then if youre a returning player you may log back in and feel a bit sad seeing how much the game has changed and shrunk over the years. This game is a shadow of its former self which is a shame because like we said, we genuinely love this game otherwise we wouldnt have played it for so many years. However, the developers attitude doesnt seem likely to change at all in the future and they will just keep the lights on long enough until their small crowd of heavy spenders moves on. Id like to see developers put more focus into other aspects of the game like warring and clans (clan loyalty awards/bonuses would be awesome), but unless they can find a way to make money off of whatever feature they add, theyre not gonna add it. Its a shame but its just the reality of the current state of this game. We will continue to play until the game dies most likely. We just fear that day will come sooner than later. Its a sad way to end but thats just life and life isnt full of happy endings. We dont mean to speak ill of anyone on the dev team though. We’ve known lots for years and seen many more come and go and we know theyre good people just doing their jobs. Unfortunately their jobs just happens to involve following the orders from those at the top who are most incentivized by money above all else. Will just enjoy the game while its still around. But we will strain again, if you are new or coming back from a long break this is not the game for you (anymore). Im sorry to say but thats just the truth. The review rating does not entail this is a bad game because it is not. Its just so skewed towards the pay-to-play playerbase that unless youre ready to open your wallet left and right, youre gonna be behind the curve in all aspects. If youre fine with that, then go for it, give it a download. But if you want to be working on endgame content and dont want to pay lots of money to catch up, youre out of luck. However, recent changes to the legend system has new and better rewards. We hope the devs can keep following this trend in efforts of helping newer and returning player be able to bridge the gap quicker, then we may revisit with a higher rated review in the future. This is just our analysis on the current state of this game. Of course this game holds a spot in our heart so we will continue to hope for the best for this game all the way to the dying days.
Sent a review a second ago, didnt save. Summarize by saying -Pay to win.. Super -Mods participate in background chats designed to sell items for irl cash, all the top players spend crazy on furn and charms, only way to obtain the amount that many players have -not designed to help new players -all new weekly events are really just a huge cash grab, they dont help the base player much -they could make their game run so much faster and people would appreciate it a lot if they simplified the amount of digits they put into the game, gold is going into the quintillions easily, and all the stats start off in the thousands at the bare minimum for no reason, could remove 3 digits with no reprocussions – Hard to navigate -Lots of harassment in WC from same few players every day, prepare to ignore it Dont start a new addiction, just about all old players will tell you they hate the game, they just stay on for the fact that they have known one another for many years, get a better social app, don’t fall into this pit of despair the way that the rest of us did.
Our account was banned for no reason and we have not been able to reinstate it despite having spent tons of time and money in game. Would be 5 stars if not for the fact that we cant play again.
As a longtime player in this game, we enjoy the social aspect of interacting with players around the world and across the nation. We will enter the system wars again when clans are able to war against one another as was the case during the first six system wars. Some have referred this as just another tap tap game, if you learn how to war, it takes concentration and strategy when communicating/warring with clan members against another clan.
This game is kind of addictive and we enjoy it. We wish it had a few more things, however. 1. Best ways to obtain nobility. The current system has very annoying ways of earning nobility and we really dont want to sign up for trials or have to spend $20+ on products that we dont want. We hear some players have the ability to play games to earn nobility but we dont see that. 2. Alternate accounts. We think it would be great to have the ability to log in and log out of various accounts. We currently do not have any other device but our main phone, so using our other accounts doesnt look likely as of now. 3. Updated design. Maybe a updated design for iOS?

This was one of our favorite games for a very long time and we started playing when it first came out more than 10 years ago. We even spent money in the shop to buy a few items and to support the developer. Then out of nowhere our account gets locked and the get help button doesnt do anything when you click it. Looking into the problem lead us to find that tons and tons of people had the exact same thing happen to them with no warning, we did nothing wrong against ToS or anything like that just locked accounts and no way to get it back. And the worst part is you cant even make a new account because its linked to your phone so even if you delete the game and all data and reinstall it you are greeted with the account locked screen and that get help button that does nothing. Dont bother wasting your time on the game and definitely dont spend any money on it because they will randomly lock your account and all your time is wasted.

Only really back for the nostalgia. We played about 10-11 years ago. Its really changed a lot but its still fun. Miss the old days though. Used to war all the time, owned a clan, now it seems more money hungry than it used to be. Still can be enjoyable for F2P though.
The KaW game has kept us tap tapping for 12 years now and still going. The tecent game modifications to eb legend side contests have been positive and we believe thete is still room for improvement to the PVP side of the game. – Lethyl.
We’ve played the game for 12 years and we’ve been taking a break for a bit. When we tried to log into one of our two accounts it said we were banned for violating their policy. And btw support is really poor. You cant hit the help button on your screen bc it doesnt do anything how am we banned when we havent been on this account for close to 8 years? Fix your game please!
We have not played the game in years and recently wanted to get back into playing only to find out our account has been banned. There was no explanation besides the generic terms of service ban. So they will just lose another person that was willing to come back and play. We cant recommend this game to anyone especially with the ban we received and no explanation given when other games we’ve played have.
This game isnt for new players. Even with features devs added to help new accounts out they still have a long period of growth just to catch up with the typical build stats of the player population. Aside from that their player base isnt really welcoming or helpful. There was just a conversation in the World Chat section where the experienced players basically told a small account to sit down and shut up over bringing up valid points about how newer players tend to leave game because theyre stuck in a rotation of epic battles that reward low plunder and event items.

We load the game and cant make a temp account because of the ban.
We’ve played KAW for years since we were 14, took a break the last few years and we’ve tried at least 5 times to come back but when we click on the app we get access denied there is a problem connecting with our game server. Try waiting a few minutes, check your connection and restart the game well, we’ve been waiting and trying for years?!? How much longer until we can play?? We’ve spent too much money on kaw to not have access to our account for no reason this is crazy.
Playing for 13 years, banned all of the sudden, and the help button to ask Support about what happened doesnt even work. Its just typically callous.
We have been playing KaW over 12 years now. We have talked to people all over the world and made many new friends. Very addictive game once you learn how it works. You can fight people one on one or play epic battles to grow your kingdom. Highly recommend this game.
Been playing this game for 10 years. Whether the game deserves that much dedication is questionable. However, over the years we have always enjoyed world chat and the clan experience this game provides. We wish one day it grows even more and they’re able to explore new ideas and improvements. If you install this game as a new player don’t get discouraged by all the OGs. They’ve made it easy to climb past the noob stage if you try :)

We wanted to ask about this why is a single aqua 5 health crystals and inferno is allot of gold we can understand inferno cost 5000 gold but it like a billion gold is kinda highway robbery and Im saying this for new players as well But none the less us and our brother love the game.
There is no option to speak with support. Our account was stolen. We asked a mod for help and there was no help either . There is no option in the settings for help. Clicking on the ape only gives us an option to go to 3 other games they have developed .. There really is no excuse for no support. This is unacceptable for a game that people drop a lot of money playing. If we could give 0 stars we would .. Do not play this game .. If you have any issues there is no one to talk to .. This game has terrible support features. Its ranked so low because of corrupt it has gotten. Do not wast your time on this game pass it on and find another. A thinking ape is a awful company and needs to be put out of buisness.
Interface is diff between apple device n android. We like the android version better. Also pls bring back the meegos. Much better than this old kingdom game.
We’ve played this game for a decade. Put plenty of money in and really enjoyed the time we put into the game. Then one day we got on and was told we were banned permanently. Not sure what we did considering we hadnt cheated or said anything in chats that would lead to a ban. Since we were banned and couldnt contact support (their support email stopped existing) so we were forced to download PIMD to get some help. They essentially told us our account was linked to hundreds of others and was immediately banned and theres nothing we can do about it. We have one phone and one account. We cant even make a new account because it just says Im banned. We got banned for doing nothing but playing the game, so Im forced to give this a one star. Dont touch it. Edit: then they tell you theyve wiped your account yet you still cant play. And then say use the in game help button WHEN YOU LITERALLY CANT DO ANYTHING IN GAME WHEN BANNED! Its just a blank screen that says Im banned. We DIDNT DO ANYTHING! We cant talk with anyone and Im basically screwed. Really disappointing considering how much time and money we put into this game.
This game is trash. Same event different name last 10 years. Laziest devs in the world. Also you need multiple accounts to play that have been around for a while or you will get farmed mercilessly until you quitor the devs bam you for having multiple accounts . Either way this game is a total WASTE OF MONEY . Glad we cashed out and sold our accounts years ago for $1200 while the market was high.

Used to be a good game but developers never had a good grasp of the mechanics of their own game. Each update created exploits for cheaters. Where money is transferred outside of the game, and theoretically outside of revenue making for the developers. Only profit is to the cheaters.
Dont respond to this that youre sorry to hear Im disappointed youve had plenty of reviews saying what we feel. We see all these appologies or suggestions to get help tickets. What about effecting change? This game is no longer welcoming to new players because of the insurmountable wall to catch up to most players no longer fun to your long term players because there is nothing new to do we find myself staying for friends but disinterested and dissatisfied with game play for entertainment To be fair in its day this was 5/5.
We had fun on the game and spent lots of time on the game and money. But after awhile they banned our account for no reason at all. We didnt cheat or anything and poof our account was banned out of no where.
Its by far the best game that we play. Sometimes we need a break but we ALWAYS come back to it! We love the idea of the game. The events. The ebs. Everything is well thought out and laid out. We play on iPhone. We do wish they added the % on troops and spies like it says on Android and Samsung. We hope they can add that in one day!

Hi there, our in game name is xSyn_Moon Kingdoms at War has been a part of our life for the past 10 years. We can honestly say that we love playing the game. Whether it be visiting and chatting with pals or fighting in off system wars or hitting epic battles theres always something to do in KaW. Sure you get your occasional troll every once in a blue moon in the world chat but there are very genuine people that we’ve befriended and still continue to talk to on a daily basis. Personally the only thing we really dislike about the game is the fact that the developers dont heed a lot of the player base and they pick and choose favorites based on spending habits more or less… And a lot of people quit because the devs dont usually do anything to get rid of the people cheating/botting/ using auto clickers to further their personal/ clans gains. Other than that we give KaW a 9/10 rating.
If you arent on top, you are on the bottom. Between the fake accounts, alternate accounts, and social drama, you will not be able to advance due to the nature of the players and the game, 10 years ago we would have recommended this game. However, thats has changed now.

It is what it says it is, you can grind for almost everything you can buy, we’ve played for a while and enjoyed it :) good game.
Seems like we’re not the only one who opened the game again after months/years of not playing only to find our account banned. Really unfortunate. There’s so many new games out there but old players like us chose to go back to KAW. This should tell you something. We’re still the same consumers with probably more resources $$ to expend compared to when we were younger. Guess there’s no KAW resurgence for us this time.
Complaints or not given any insideration we got silenced from the world chat for a violation for one day, probably deserved, but we were silenced for multiple day, and didnt get any satisfactory response to our report and demand of lifting the ban and 5 nobility points in compensations (which is nothing) Really disappointed that even after spending so much money on multiple accounts, this is how they treat the people who pay them.

The devs really could careless about you. They just want you to pay for premium ebs. Cant even get good plate drops off the premium ebs so thats just a waste of money.. Im sure theyre just as surprised as the players that this game has lasted as long as it has. What a joke the devs are.
Id consider myself one of the OGs of KaW because we started playing 3 months after it hit the AppStore. We’ve seen it all when it comes to KaW, GaW, PIMD, and that one futuristic version of KaW/GaW Lately we’ve just been on cruise mode when playing. We dont grind like we used to anymore because there seems to be some sort of bias between Devs and certain players. Most of the event chasers are almost impossible to keep up with despite spending $20 a week. We love the new equipment every event, keeps it fresh and something to work towards which is a huge plus. A negative with the event equipment is that it also takes two other resources to upgrade that equipment and it feels like we get new equipment much more faster than Im getting resources to upgrade them. Also if you want any sort of edge, you have to spend some money. Whether thats on nobility or doing some offers from the oracle. We still absolutely love the game and will continue to play but only part time. Its not worth putting most of your effort into this game without spending money.
Our entire family (6 of us including parents) started playing this game within 2 months of it coming out. Most of us kids were in our early teens at the time. We practically grew up in KaW (slightly sad tbh). We had multiple Leaderboard accounts throughout KaW history, but multiple were banned because of alleged account sharing throughout our time in the game. As time went on, we all slowly started to quit because of several factors which we will explain in the following points: 1. The developers progressed the game and continue to progress the game by adding only rinse and repeat vertical progression to the game and it became boring and more pay to win over time to keep up (New lands over and over and over). 2. When horizontal progression (BFE and later furnishings) were finally added to the game along with a robust war system that briefly created a competitive engaging environment, the devs failed and continue to fail to keep that alive or expand on any new progression or war system to keep players interested, and united around a common goal (retention). Again, and sad to say, the horizontal progression became rinse and repeat (especially with the nonstop events that you literally have to pay to win BFE & Furnishing items). 3. Player population has been dwindling because of all of this. The developers have failed to retain player population because of their lack of new content and because they spit out an excessive amount of both rinse and repeat horizontal progression and vertical progression that has become increasingly more dependant on paying to win. The developers need to rediscover the balance between the social aspect of the game which draws people in, AND new content that keeps the game competitive, not overburdening, interesting, and keeps people united around achieving something achievable for even the lowest tier socioeconomic player in order to retain the population. This was their goal, and still is their goal today. If you look at the story of ATAs inception on their website, it is clear that their goal was to create a social app, and retain the population. They did that in the beginning by creating a social platform (kaw) that engages people, unites them around a common goal whilst keeping people interested. However, ATA has failed to think outside of the box to maintain the success of that mission. It needs to be developed like a mobile MMORPG in some sense(and this is coming from a professional MMORPG player). As a company that is considered one of the top growing companies, and best workplaces in Canada we should be expect more from them, and they should expect more from themselves other than the bear minimum.
We’ve played this game for 10 years. We quit maybe a year ago. For being 9+ game its very vulgar and graphic. Should be 18+. People on here are rude narcissistic and bullies.
