Been playing Solgard for YEARS now and if we change one thing it would be the treasure hunts. We would make them like a boss battle and fight to the death without limiting the amount of turns. Its disappointing for it to get harder and harder the more of them you win and still have the same number of moves so its like two factions against you at the same time and doesnt make it really appealing to want to keep playing them.
Play Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes instead.
Its so fun to play. And with the King team behind it, you know itll stay updated.
Overall its a really fun game, but if u want to be competitive at all after u beat the map be prepared to drop a lot of money, other then that game play is really fun.
So we downloaded this game cuz it looked fun but once completed it never continued the levels saying Coming Soon. Figured to play to unlock more characters with different side games. After unlocking some of the new characters but it was taking longer to upgrade the skills and leveling up without spending money. Buying packages to improve the characters never change their levels or made them stronger. The flip of the coin to see who goes first started to be a one sided thing after that.
First off Id like to say we have truly enjoyed this game, they have done a great job making all of the different units you get relevant throughout the entire game. Yet one of this games great strengths has easily become a weakness when you dont have gold to keep the champion upgrades going bc the drop for gold is so uneven with the costs for the upgrades (passed level 4) we dont want to spend money for a huge drop of gold, and something so little shouldnt be so hard to attain in large quantities! Please fix this. Just add a zero maybe 2 to every drop and well be fine.
We would love to give this game 5 stars but vinebeard needs a MAJOR nerf or change OR other green units need a buff. We are currently in grandmaster III arena and literally 90% or more of players have maxed or close to maxed vinebeard and don't use anything else because its so broken. There are almost no ways to counter it other than luck. And no equivalent combat power unit comes even remotely close to vinebeards level. There is no diversity at all, at least in the grandmaster arena. Ruins the game.
The gameplay is really fun and we appreciate the leveling up aspect of the game. The downside is that it crashes around 1 out of 4 rounds, sometimes over and over again. You do get to enjoy a fun story with cool bosses and cool maps.
This game is actually very fun and has very few flaws for the first week or two. But our goodness after that it becomes a headache. Now Im not against games that want you to spend a little money. If its a free game and its fun Ill drop some cash on it. But after dropping what Id estimate at around 400 dollars on this game and two to three months of playing as much as we possibly can every day Im barely a middle tier strength player and not even remotely close to the top. Asinine. Secondly in the pvp arena on the game it sets you up to lose once you reach the higher levels. We can be over double the strength of our opponent and still either lose or struggle significantly to win because it gives you a nearly unplayable board throughout the match. Now balancing is great when players are close in strength but when Im ridiculously stronger than our opponent its foolish that it sets it up for them to win. And lastly the game gives you maybe and hours worth of resources to play everyday after that hour you literally have to wait nearly a full day to be able to play anymore without spending money. Why would you not want people playing your game as much as possible? Why do these developers put a cap on the amount of time you can spend playing their game. It causes players even ones like us who will actually spend money resort to downloading another game and potentially putting this one down. The top tier players on this game is either significantly luckier than we are or have spent thousands of dollars. Download it and play for a couple weeks and youll see what we mean. And what makes this all the more aggravating is this could have been one of the most fun phone games Ive played in a long time. But Ive literally never been so aggravated with a game that Ive decided to leave a negative review so this is a first.
We want to start off by saying, just like other king games Ive loved over the years, this was no different. But we are warning you, DO NOT SPEND ANY MONEY ON THIS GAME!!! We have been taken for 100.00 and even after spending 14 times that in the last two months, they are under the impression that you cannot be charged twice. That their system is somehow full proof of having any kind of problems. Ive spent a ton of money on this game and something we dont mind doing on what we feel is a good game. But when you provide a service, you have to back that up with customer service. And there is none. This is not the first time we were double charged, but it was the first time we said something about it. Because the first time we just wrote it off to maybe we forgot. But the second time (less than two months later) no way!! Ive paid too close attention since the first time, and it doesnt matter who we take it to… They will just tell you that there is no way you can be charged without authorizing it. But in the same sentence said our game could be compromised. So can It happen, or cant it. Well, Im here to tell you it did happen and it wont happen again. Our 700.00 a month may not make a difference to them, but Im sure there are a lot of games out there that would love to have it. We will continue to play the game for a while because we have diamonds to spend. After that. Im out. There are no jobs on this earth where you just sit back and count your money. You provide a service and you should actually provide that service. Because Im sure Im not the only one that thinks that people buy from people and character matters.
We really need to know how hero arena is matched up. You can lose 3 or 4 in a row and be matched with people who have a strength way above yours. Actually we dont need to ask why that is. You want people to spend lots of money to level up their characters. This game is just another freemium game. Trying to get as much money from you as they can instead of just selling it for 5 bucks. Did you use to work for EA.
A glitch in their servers resulted in a portion of the game not working. Under the guidance of customer support, we waited for the update. Once update went through our profile was lost! Since we were waiting for over two weeks for the fix, our backup only had the error. We lost time and money because of their system error, yet customer support has no means of making it right (either restore our account or refund our money). They simply do not care.
Most pay to win game Ive ever seen. It requires thousands of dollars to be competitive in this game.
You have to wait H O U R S just to play one round late game. We paid $5 thinking Id be able to get a lot out of it, but only got a few hours of play. Id rather just buy a game for a console holy cow. Its so depressing how many currencies and runes and tokens they expect you to collect just to play the game. Truly sad.
So… All we know is that we cant accept the terms, and thus cant play.
We really tried to like this game. Ive played games for a long time and Im very good but this one is way to difficult to the point of ruining the story.
Fun at start, but you must spend a ton of money to be even a tiny bit competitive. Even when you spend hundreds of dollars, the game consistently cheats in the hero events. You can have a team with 2k power over your opponent, with a team that fully complements each other and still loss most battles. The AI gives your team the worst possible lineup, while your opponent gets perfect drops every round. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. FYI – this is one of the only games we have ever written a bad review for. It has become that frustrating.
Love the story line and love how it makes us strategies.
Im like this game again. We once downloaded it we dont know how ever long ago. It was a bit clunky then. Now it is definitely more polished.
The game is overall pretty enjoyable. The gameplay is easy to grasp, and it has some pretty neat creature designs. However, we do have two things we dont like. We find it annoying that, for returning players, they have to go through the entire tutorial process before they can bind, or return to, their existing account. We would definitely like to see a change in that because the process is just too grueling. We would recommend having the option to return to an account prior to jumping into the tutorial. We also feel like the home/main page is too convoluted, as well. Most times we dont know what we need to do, cause it seems as if everything is thrown at you. It just doesnt seem that organized. Other than that, the game is one of the more, well-developed, matching games out there.

Cleared the first 20 stages. So far its a great game. Only thing we see is expense of leveling up heroes but with any game thats how they get you to spend money. As long as that doesnt become a wall to progress, Ill keep playing.
We honestly really enjoy this game… When it works. Its not really pay to win, its a super fun take on a match 3 game, its got plenty of modes(though the non campaign modes should give you more plays a day). But this game crashes a lot. And it doesnt even refund our plays if it crashes in the middle of a game. We have an iPhone 6, not the newest hardware, but we dont have this problem with other apps. We know its a very intense app, but it needs some optimizing for older hardware. Please work on stabilizing this app.
Solid mechanics just sad that upgrades dont feel to impactful but its solid.
We love this game first off, not sure if its because we have an old version of an iPhone or if its apple in general, but the game crashes at least once maybe after 10 min of having the app open. It used to crash all the time to the point where we quit playing but the recent update made it so it doesnt happen as often. We absolutely love this game we hope it is fixed permanently in the future.
Have been playing the game consistently over the past few days now and have been enjoying it overall, aside from one rather frustrating flaw Ive continued to experience. The game will, almost at random or when we receive notifications, force itself to shut down, booting us out of a current game. When this happens Im out the spent energy, passes, and other items used to enter into the challenges and receive no reward or compensation for when this occurs. It has led to many frustrating moments as we are about to complete a difficult challenge or battle, only to have it nulled due to this bug. Hopefully it will be resolved so we can get back to enjoying it even more so than we currently am.
Pretty tired of games with good mechanics and cute graphics being completed ruined with pressure to purchase packs of various currencies etc in order to progress in even the single player campaign! Theres a boss a few hours in here who can kill you in 4 turns. You know whats not fun?! That.
We know this is mostly our own fault but we wanted to be able to play on our iPad so we activated our Game Center account again. But we should have done it on our iPhone (where we had just made it to helheim) first. Not our iPad. So when we went to link it up we have lost all our progress. And no way to restore our purchases that Ive made in game. Im just disappointed. We wish this game just connected to Facebook like a lot of games from King do to save progress.
Very good game so far, with good playability. However on iPad mini it keeps crashing randomly. Hopefully the next update will address this problem.
We really enjoy the game, we do, it reminds us of chess. But there are far too many crashes. Every time we play Im afraid that its going to crash when we click on something. And now with the latest update, we cant even play without it crashing every 3 seconds. Not sure whats going on but if you could fix those Ill enjoy it even more. We just dont like having to start the app up again, just to click on the campaign mode, only for it to crash before the map loads in. We just want to play guys.
We really like the game, but it is so easy to fat-finger and make a move that was not intended. We lost many many matches because of this. Its frustrating that you cant recall your last move. Also, we know the purpose of the game is the make money for those who created it, but if you make it more affordable to play, much more people would play. No one wants to play a game where your competitiveness is mainly dictated by the amount of money you spend.
After we win level 37 to next level, it's become harder & imposible to win, syiiittt Not recomended.
Pay to win to the extreme. Dont bother playing this garbage.
This is an awesome concept! However it gets difficult quickly requiring you to upgrade your guys. In order to get gold you have to play your campaign (best way to get gold) still not a deal breaker again. Then you upgrade your troops with character gems and gold. This is where you have problems. After you get the gold from the campaign levels you cant go back and get more gold from them. This means you rely on the gold you gain from the campaign. Once the campaign gets to rough and your about to throw your phone you realize you need to buy a character to really move on. We know you can get gold from fighting in arena but its not much. And again you need to upgrade your characters to keep winning arena battles. These also get harder quick. They also have guild boss battles that your team has to destroy….. Yeah you get a few guild coins but it helps a little Not much. The Fix? Make it that you can go back and get gold from previously beaten levels. Maybe not as much as the first time. Im going to keep playing for a few weeks if nothing changes then Im gone.
We tried attacking in the dungeons but, as soon as we tried making our first move, the game crashed on both attempts. We opened the app again after those two crashes and it crashed again in the menus. It is updated with most recent version.
Spent a good deal of time and money on this app love the game and the experience. Been let down extremely lately because of force closure of the appt mid session stealing from us energy and loot extremely disappointing and hurting our game experience.
Like most its just not worth wasting your time! Developers dangle the carrot(elite fighters that u can ONLY get by paying)! And youll find that if u do waste money your chances of getting those elite characters r minutely small. If u like the grind and have the discipline not 2 waste money, u might get some enjoyment out of this game.
Ive been enjoying this game for a while. Invested time and effort into the storyline and our characters. Since yesterday the game wont load. Tried to delete and re-install. No change.
This game had potential for free to play yet at a certain point, one cannot grind to become competitive.
We were enjoying the game until we kept losing progress from the constant crashes for no reason at all. This was the only app running on our phone and we couldnt even complete a level without having to attempt it 15 times. This is garbage for a company to not fix its product. We cant even continue the story because as soon as the level begins to load the whole app crashes. We dont recommend this game for anyone.
We really like this game but we can barely get through levels without it crashing. And it really irritates us when its a special level that requires an entry item, when it crashes that entry item is used. So bounty hunting is out, treasure caves is out. When we are close to passing a level it crashes.
Since the recent update, the alternate quests havent been showing up. It was fine until then. Now, there are no more alternate quests to play and earn thr green mistral. Also the game freezes at times and unless we restart our iPad, it never unfreezes.
Recent update causing game to freeze at launch – some notification about a mob named Frost and now we cant interact with game or menus at all. Was pretty fun though before it stopped working.
This game has been intriguing for us. Granted, it takes some time to get used to the mechanics, but overall its definitely a game worth playing. Theres one thing though. In the end, when you complete a round, when you do the attack spree, when your character makes the final exclamation (Im not gonna try and spell it) sometimes he/she does it too early. Maybe adjust so that he/shell do that when the spree is done.
Im liking this game a lot. You merge to attack and raise the defense/ attack of the creatures you control. So far we havent had and problems while playing. Although, Ive only been playing for a few hours. May update if we remember.
It's fun, it has good graphics and there's a variety of stuff to do but it won't allow us two play after two days of downloading.
Great graphics and loots system we spent some money and it really went a long way compared to other games.
We love it the bosses, the heroes, the monsters, all of it. Could you add more dragons though.
The game is great a lil busy at first but after that game play is very even with difficulty and love the Norse mythology is represented.
Fun game. Wish there was something in place that made it so that we dont get more gems of characters that we can no longer level up! Something would be better than nothing.
