Find out what gamers are saying about Mayan Prophecies: Blood Moon HD – A Hidden Object Adventure (Full):

Great visuals. Fun game, good map. Enjoyed playing.

We had no problems! Liked game and the bonus game was almost as long as the original.

Great game… Super looong and only $2.99 everyday price. Its an older game but it was fun to play.

Enjoyed the game. Very smooth play, no issues. Nicely done.

One of the best big fish has put out. So many layers and intricacies. We play a lot of these games and this one was so good we just had to give props to the developers.

Only complaint is that the collectibles were not shown on the map. Otherwise, very fun.

We like the graphics and the plot but we couldn’t get past the first scene because a game item (wheel) vital for the next game sequence wouldn’t get "picked up" on touch like the clues say it should. We spent a good 20 mins tapping on it after we’ve done everything we can in the room! It just made us super frustrated.

What a gyp. We’re part way into the game and it won’t open. Need a fix please!!

Programming is way off target. Have to find the right area to press or get penalized for missed tries. Not worth the frustration or price of the game. Should try the game before asking to pay for it. Probably why its a long game. Have to try so many times to get the item.

This game seems like and older one to us, but it turned out to be a really good game. Glad we got it…

Great graphics, challenging and interesting story. One of the best in recent time.

Really enjoying so far – good storyline, outstanding graphics. Love the hidden object scenes and of course the map is very helpful. Relaxing and yet adventurous! Hope to see more games of this caliber. Only thing we’ve noticed with this company is the scene transferring is slow. However, No stars deducted from this one! Thank You Big Fish, KdBoots (P.S.) Let,s stay on a roll of Great games!!!

Third in the series but also plays as a stand alone. Nice long gameplay, excellent artwork, labeled inventory, transporting map with task indicators, customizable difficulty and adjustable brightness, morphing objects and Mayan idols to find which then turn into a hummingbird to catch. Your friend gets turned into a jaguar and becomes your helper. Verdict: buy!

We were pleasantly surprised that it was a continuation of another game we had played recently. We wish they would package it as such.

Good story in the game and bonus game also. We gave it 5 stars because it had that "I don’t want to put it down" quality, which is most important to us.

Pretty good story line. Overall good game.

This was a good solid game, but not quite worth 5 stars. It had good graphics and dynamic cut-scenes. There was a journal, strategy guide and non-spoiler hint system. The game was lengthy with a long bonus adventure. The storyline was interesting. It was the 3rd in the series but it didn’t matter if you hadn’t played the first two because it recapped them for you. You collect morphing objects and stone idols, which turn into hummingbirds. You also collect parts of a horoscope in the bonus adventure. There were tons of HO scenes, but they were either word lists or silhouettes, not very original. You could choose to play mahjong instead. There were a whole bunch of mini-games/puzzles, and most were fun. We would have liked more puzzles and less HO scenes. Inventory was labeled and there were plus items to assemble. There was an excellent teleport map with marked tasks. We found it to play fairly smoothly, except for occasional touch sensitivity. The reason we deducted a star was because loading was not instantaneous between locations, and it made the game seem a bit dated. On the plus side, no RATS! Elefun games gives you a good experience; however compared to the amazing games by EIPIX and Mad Head, they do not measure up. We would play a sequel but we would really appreciate it if they could give us instantaneous loading between scenes. The game drags and seems a bit tedious without it. However, all in all it was a decent game! We want to wish the Dream Team Elite and all of the other reviewers a very happy, healthy and safe Christmas season! We hope you all get everything you wish for on your Christmas list, and that one of your wishes was for more and better games from BigFish! Happy gaming, everybody! From Lynxie!

We really enjoyed the Mayan theme as we live in Yucatan.. Amazing Beautiful artwork!.. Lots of interesting items, and interesting chores to complete… Tons of puzzles.. Although we felt the puzzles were way too easy.. Also a LOT of back and forth.. Very little dialog and interaction throughout the game.. The jaguar did very little which was a bit disappointing.. Also took forever to change between scenes. The were also several places in the hogs where it was difficult to tap the item.. You could hit right on the item, but if you didn’t hit it in exactly a certain part, it did not register. This game has all the potential to be truly awesome, but falls a bit short.. With a bit more interaction and depth it could be. Still all in all, we enjoyed playing and would love to see more of this type of mysterious theme.. But please…. Give it some more guts!

We have enjoyed playing every game so far in this series. We look forward to the next one. We didn’t give it 5 stars only because the loading time between scenes, puzzles, Hidden Objects and /or any change was extremely slow. So much so that if it had been a game we didn’t enjoy as much we probably would have just deleted it. Keep making great games but work on the loading time. Thanks, Jan Jones.

This game is a continuation of the previous two in the series, and you get a recap of the previous events during the intro cut scenes. We thought this installment to be the best of the three. You play a Coast Guard officer, Alexis Dean, who previously apprehended a smuggler/poacher, Fernando Gomez, while escaping from the island. Now he is back in action and is trying to resurrect the Jaguar God, Xalan. You are assisted by a priestess, Sofia, who is trying to help prevent people from being transformed into menacing jaguars, including your friend Gregory. You are given a jaguar as a helper – being your friend Gregory – to retrieve and break apart items. The scenery is appropriate with many Mayan ruins to explore and ancient artifacts to uncover. The graphics are nice and clear with many shades of blue and purple to achieve a mystic aura. There are four choices of difficulty with the option to customize settings so, thank God, we can eliminate any tapping penalties and sparkles. You have a traditional journal, which we have not seen for some time, to read the story as you progress. There is also a back button so we can randomly tap around and not be taken back a screen or five. The inventory is labeled and will require assembly of items. The map gives slightly sluggish transport to desired location and notes available actions in custom mode. The HOS are mostly junk-pile word lists but with nice interaction. They consist of artifacts relative to the story’s theme, and you might put together fragments of an item at times. They do lack the unique, innovative mechanics prevalent in other series. The puzzles are mainly simple, although you need to work some out a bit. One example is to place colored shapes of different sizes on a board making sure that adjacent ones do not touch. You are collecting 25 birds, as well as 36 morphing objects in the locations. Apart from the morphing objects, the birds are sometimes acquired by clicking on an item, which turns into a bird; and then you have to catch it. This was a fun element. The extras include your usual offerings plus your achievements and a Mayan Horoscope. The reason we took off a star is because the transition between scenes was sluggish, which seems to be a factor in this series. Also, it lacks some real innovation and seems like an older game. The HOS, while interactive, could have been more varied. It is still a nice game with an interesting story line, and we have not encountered any glitches. It’s worth playing!

Grandma Betty54 Dec.4 Very enjoyable. A lot of back and forth but good game.

Creators did an excellent job. That looked like the kind of game that required a lot of research, visually anyway. Like others have said, not much dialog or cut scenes. A lot of back and forth. We forgot what we were doing if we walked away from the game briefly. But it was a good game. The bad guy was good looking…

Friends & Followers, Enjoyable adventure. Beautiful, well designed & presented scenery. Incredibly long playing time (one of the longest this reviewer has seen in years) with many hummingbirds, morphing objects & horoscopes throughout game & Bonus chapter to look for-Almost too many in fact, so much that one could get distracted from adventure trying to encounter all the collectibles. More character dialogue & interactions needed. Too much tapping required at times for picking up item(s) and/or for putting it/them to use. Cut time in-between scenes is rather long. Historically inaccurate & misrepresentative of Mayan culture, except for that of Jaguar deity/God though; Hopefully this will not make any true Mayan descendent cry "foul" and/or be annoyed (Have Ph.D. In archeology & anthropology with regards to Mayan culture & civilization). All in all, due to long playing time, along with the multitude of "collectibles" given to encounter throughout this adventure, it can be said that this game, no matter what the price may be, is definitely worth the investment-Something which our friends & followers know that we almost never comment upon! Thank you for the continued support. ~Kamen Rider.

Time waiting between scenes is way way too long. If it were faster, I’d love it.

Handling of objects is clunky. At this point no sign of a map of any type. At $2.99 you don’t expect a lot of bells and whistles. In that respect you are not disappointed.

We were enjoying this game until we went to play and all of our progress was erased!!

This is an older game. Sometimes it took several attempts to pick up objects in the Hidden Object games. The puzzles for the most part were okay. Some of the graphics were hard on the eyes. We’re disappointed that Big Fish has done away with the try it first trials. No 2.99 is not a lot to pay but we still would not have bought it after trying it. We did not finish this game. We are playing on an IPad air.

We would rate 5 stars, if we could find the 2nd totem eye in chapter 3. We looked at the guide and everything. We’re stuck. Help !

The 1st scene was beautiful but that’s as far as we got. Had trouble with placing objects on items. End up deleting the game because of it.

This is a long and ho hum game. Lots of repeat HOs and some nice puzzles. The Druid maze puzzle in the bonus chapter doesn’t work. By then we were so bored anyway, we didn’t mind deleting the game. Starts out inviting – downhill from there. Reminder to self – don’t buy anymore Big Fish Games.
