We love this game and now that our husband helped figure out what we were missing Im totally obsessed with it now.

Game has levels and to reach next level must complete tasks. Also has a part 5hats puzzles. When you win each puzzle you get a lighting bolt to help you build city.

Really good game. Only complaint is that we think you should get more energy as the levels get harder.
This game is fun, but frustrating. We enjoyed building out our city with different styles of houses, farms, factories and civic buildings and getting the layout to look nice and organized. However, we are at a standstill in development because every major building needs furniture but the furniture factory is not available. It would cost 30 gems to build out of sequence, but we dont have that many and dont want to buy them. We have described our dilemma further below, but here is our advice for those starting the game: 1)Lay out your city with large specialty buildings (airport, amusement park, etc.) at the edges. They only need a small section to touch a road. 2)Dont bother with building the specialty monuments until you see how much space you will have available. Sure the Colloseum or Sydney Opera House look cool, but they take a lot of space without increasing the population. 3)When you get a new type of house or building, build only the minimum number required to meet the goals. Later housing options increase population more in the same footprint. 4)So far, it seems colonial houses are the best to build in single spaces. When fully upgraded (requiring 3 energy), they house 14 population. This equals 56 in a 2×2 space if you have roads they can connect to. 5)The medium block tower holds 64 in a 2×2 space but it requires a lot of energy to build and help from your game friends. Also, they block the view of buildings behind so plan to put them at the outside edges with shorter buildings in front where they can be seen. You will need a lot of these to reach the population required to release the furniture factory. 6)Plan roads carefully, and minimize them where possible. They dont contribute to population. Remember that buildings only need one corner or edge to be connected to a roadway. Many statues and decorations dont need to be connected at all so scatter them in the inaccessible spaces away from roads. 7)we were only able to build 1 large block tower, and it wont let us build more. 8)You can move buildings around after they are started so experiment with that for layouts or for completing floors of towers, etc. Take the tower buildings to the factories to compete deliveries for a level then move them to the final location when completed. This reduces truck travel time when racing to finish before a deadline. 9)Dont use gems for anything except land clearing where they are required. You may get impatient and need to buy the furniture factory before it becomes available in normal progression. 10)Dont build more factories or buildings than you have to. The space will be needed for housing. So far our hotels are not contributing anything to the population count despite having roads and bus routes to connect them. We wish we hadnt build so many now that Im out of space. Here is our dilemma:It says the furniture factory will become available with progress on our goals. But the only goal left that doesnt require furniture is to increase the population. So far Im above 7,000 population, and working toward 7,500. If that isnt the magic number to open the furniture factory, then we will be truly stuck. We are almost out of space despite micro rearranging and cutting off streets to make cul-de-sacs to put in single houses. We cant bulldoze any unused factories without using 4 gems, of which we only have 2 left. We only used gems to clear rocky land, and didnt waste any. We may not have enough space to reach the 7,500 population. Or if we do, assuming that opens the furniture factory to be built, we wont have any space to build one. We wish we knew all of this when starting out. We wouldnt be struggling so much now. Hope it helps some of you to have better success than we have.
We played the older version of this game and really enjoyed it. The new version is pretty much the same, except for the match 3 game and gems. We wish the match three game were less slow.
The levels to get energy to build gets harder with each level, but builds confidence when you beat a level you thought was too hard.
Its fun and everything, but to get more energies, we get to a point where we get bored because its only one energy per game. We would prefer if it were at least two or three. But lets see.
Fun game. Just wished some levels of the matching werent so difficult so you could get energy faster.

It gets harder you when you tried to do the 3-match puzzle when you go up each level. It takes timing, skill and strategy to complete the game.
Great way to blow an afternoon. Im enjoying building up our own town.
