Community Insight:
For the price we paid $0.99 this game is absolutely worth it. Mega Man X DiVE Offline delivers solid gameplay, a full story mode, and that classic Mega Man feel without constantly trying to nickel-and-dime the player. What really stands out is that this is an offline experience. No ads shoved in your face, no gambling mechanics, no pressure to spend more money just to enjoy the game. You buy it, you play it, and you progress at your own pace. That alone makes it refreshing in todays gaming landscape. Message to Capcom (and other developers): please make more games like this. There are plenty of players who just want to pay once and enjoy a complete, fun game without being bombarded by monetization systems. This is a great example of how to do it right. Highly recommended for fans who want a straightforward, enjoyable experience without the nonsense.
For any Mega man fan, this is a must have!!! We hope it can get a Nintendo Switch release! But this game works so good on the Iphone! The character choices and customization are great! The missions are just the right length and great especially for short bursts. We highly recommend this! The developers of this game created this with a lot of love and care and it shows! Mega man fans we think would note it as they play! Review as of 9/27/2025.
Translation is a little awkward but its otherwise great. Perfect way to sunset a live service game.
You can choose basically any mega man character you want. Our favorite is ultimate armor X since you can get him quick and he can use the plasma buster from Mega Max X4. Plus his skin is the look from the Mega Man X thing where you can fight all the bosses. Honestly worth it if youre looking for a good mega man nostalgia trip.
Thank you Capcom-sama for adding controller support. Please give us more offline gacha games please.
Tons of playable characters from all over the Mega man universe, original Japanese voice actors, tons of quests and mega man platforming action..AND the ability to play offline and on the go! AWESOME.
We were able to use our Xbox controller. Smooth gameplay. Enjoyed every bit of if it.
We went into this game not expecting anything, until we saw the megamans from previous games, even volknut is there! This game is 5/5.
Please dont take this game down and please add the rest of the megaman x games to the iOS system.
Never knew there was an offline one. Cool.
We must say its not bad, but thats expensive game to get it. However for someone who enjoys this game deserves to get SF x Tekken game rather backward compatible or remastered.
Never been a fan of the game, only played this game once when we were a kid now we are older we didnt realize how amazing this game is and what Ive been missing. This game is very fluid on every corner.
(we wish they did put in more mega man zx characters before the servers went down).
Only problem we currently notice is they took out quite a few cool characters, weapons and collabs. Also keeping some PvP features for end game content wouldve been nice.. We still love MegaMan and this is the closest we can get to a modern experience with plenty character options!! <3 also love mobile with a backbone controller! <3.
Si bien es una app para mviles pues seria perfecto que tenga soporta para controles sobre todo para quienes tenemos un ipad de 13 pulgadas.
Love this game needs controller support for 5 stars.
So, the only thing thats keeping this from a five star review is that this version removed a lot of content and butchered some of the gameplay mechanics from the original live gacha version that people have already restored in the PC version via mods (& and its going to be a while before people figure out how to port these mods to the mobile versions). Our other gripe is that unlike the PC version you cant map the pause button on a controller.
Please, please, please, bring back the PvP online mode. This game is almost perfect except for the fact they got rid of online PvP. Great game in all aspects but that one.
Definitely a satisfied long term purchase. We dont know for sure but we hope they can add everything that the online version had and have the event stuff added in. Otherwise we feel like were missing out on things well never see again like the collab events with Street Fighter and Monster Hunter. This game is definitely better with a controller. Nowadays, its easy to setup. What would make this a 5 star review for us would be the addition of the event characters and weapons.
Im loving the game devs can you please add controller support please.
We would like to request backbone or game pase support like the steam version.
We have a backbone controller for iPhone and we really wish the game gets updated to support Backbone.
Its not as good as a mainline game, but its okay. Just makes us wish we were actually playing a Megaman X or Megaman Zero game. Or ZX. The fanservice and RPG grind do scratch a very particular itch in our brain, though. Enough to make the happy monkey chemicals in our brain go ooh ooh ah ah.
If you like mega man this is an awesome power fantasy pocket version of it, Ive no issue with the price, our issue is with the fact the one requires an engineering degree with a splash of black magic to map a controller..its really hard to comprehend how MegaMan a platformer by design has such piss poor unintuitive controller support. Its there, dont get us wrong, but the manner of setting it up is quite stupid. If capcom didnt want to bother with controller support they should have left it out, instead they chosen to give the customer who is willing to pay $30 a middle finger when it comes to the controller. Games is still good, but this is unacceptable for its price.
This game is fun but would be the best if they added Fefnir to the roster!! He is our favorite character and they did not include him :(.
We want to give this game five stars. Im really enjoying it! But we just cant get over the touch controls. This game has so much content and a pretty good story, but it just feels weird without using a controller in a Megaman game. We commend Capcom for converting this game the way they did, but to not add controller support while they were at is a little odd. Good game, but it would be great if they added that controller support.
Its not as good as a mainline game, but its okay. Just makes us wish we were actually playing a Megaman X or Megaman Zero game. Or ZX.
For a game like this, a controller would be optimal.
Bad game, horrifyingly bad plot. Dumb, overwhelmingly stupid thing that tries to be meta and… The characters dont even show up! You spend the whole time on your computer talking with someones Zero OC do not steal recolor and the obligatory waifu as you go through levels and bosses at random to fix a deep log. We compliment the writing team on finding a way to avoid actually playing the Megaman series. Amyway, the gameplays a joke once you get into it. No loadouts, character balance is hilariously skewed, and everything not directly lifted from the games is just so bland and lifeless. If you buy it, Ill feel better about ourselves for getting suckered so give it a shot, okay.
This is a great game, we do think a controller make it better but a little hard to get it to work. This game makes you feel like a person that spends hundreds of dollars on a online game and can do anything they want for just $30 If you are a fan of Mega Man X the story is not a continuation from X8 but if we ever get a X9 some of the story might make its way into the game.
Really happy with this mobile game! No in app purchases either. Its dope.
We normally dont write reviews, but we also thought this game didnt support any external controllers. It does. If you go into settings > game > control then select the action (for example, lets use jump) once you select it click on the button that says current gamepad mapping main then press the button on the actual controller youd like jump to be. Not sure why the game doesnt tell you this, but it definitely works. There is also a YouTube video showing this too. Hope this helps.
Im glad CAPCOM to the steps to make this game. Any chance you guys can add controller support.
This is how mobile games used to be (and should be again). No MTX, no constant interstitial ads just buy and play. Period, end of sentence. And more than that, this game is a fantastic example of how developers can support always-online games that are reaching EOL. Beyond the (insane) bang-for-your-buck that you get with this game in terms of the depth of playable content, its also a great theme park of sorts for longtime MegaMan fans. Theres characters from every era of the MegaMan franchise from the classic NES games all the way to ZX and Star Force. The weapons are mostly new-ish, and perhaps thats what we would have liked to see more of – more weapons making a return from the original games. And while you do see a few like the Storm Tornado and the Ray Splasher implemented as weapon modifiers and once-per-stage skills, theres plenty of room for improvement. The combat is fun and fluid, the movement is good, and the litany of different character and gear combinations makes for whats already been hours upon hours of fun for us. Its a great game in its own right and doubly so if youre already a fan of the MegaMan franchise. Well worth every penny.
We beat the game. The game is good. We hope more megaman games are like this. The power level system was good. Good job.
We see alot of reviews saying that there is no controller support on the ios version but there is. We are able to play with our Xbox controller and we imagine other bluetooth controllers will work. Its just a little confusing to set up with no instructions so here is how to do it. You need to go into control options in-game, tap the on screen button (like jump), tap "current gamepad" (its under the button size slider) then push whatever button on your controller you want it assigned too. You can set the d-pad this way too but you need to do every direction, also make sure to save. There is a video on youtube of someone showing how if your confused. Other than that weirdness this game is great. We have it on both ios and Steam and enjoy playing both. Just wish there was cross save between devices like others have said.
Wish more companies released like this. Its a genuine game (and priced accordingly). Shock to some Im sure, but a former gotcha game converted to not is something we hope more companies will do in the future.
We love these types of games and they made it so that there arent any more gacha monetization. More companies should do this.
Ive been having a lot of fun with the game so far but it is missing cloud saves. Also theres no controller support.
Theres a def difference between online n offline. Its still very fun and there are different ways to build yourself now. You cant buy anything to get a character leveled up faster, at the same theres no real rush to. So far, it has earned its five star.
We've been grinding on this game and our data changed when we tried to go back.
First of all, Id like to commend Capcom for converting an end-of-service gacha into a premium title. There are no micro transactions or in-app purchases and everything in the game is grindable. For fans of Megaman, this game is a treat! There are dozens(100+ we think) characters to unlock each with their own skill sets. Dozens more weapons to mix and match to fully customize your toon to your playstyle. The only thing really holding this back is the lack of cloud saves. This is a game where collecting and unlocking things is the main goal and it hurts knowing you cant play between devices or transfer that data to a new device when you inevitably have to replace your current one.
This game needs backbone support.
Game would be way better if we could use our backbone controller.
Steam version gets controller support but not iOS? What gives.
Tried two different controllers in hopes of working. Neither did. Nope.
