What Makes My Child Lebensborn Stand Out

Polygon: "My Child Lebensborn tells a disturbing tale about innocents in the aftermath of WW2”
LevelUp: “The strongest game experience that I have ever had.”

You adopt a young Lebensborn child in Norway after WW2, but parenting will be hard as your child grows up in a hostile and hateful environment. See a different side of the war, inspired by the true stories of the Lebensborn children. Discover how hatred of our enemies continues to create victims, even after victory.

Discover their past and support them in the present. You must balance your time and resources to provide for your child. You will find answers to the hard questions; about their history, the hatred, bullying and the passing of blame.

Can you help Klaus/Karin cope with the heavy inheritance of the German occupation, so they will find their place in a country that is celebrating its freedom?
You can make the difference.

Key Features:

  • Influence the child’s feelings, personality and worldview through your choices.
  • Look for the effects of your choices in your child’s expressions and body language.
  • Explore a gripping storyline based upon true events.
  • Earn money as you work, then cook, craft, forage, and play.
  • Use your time and meager resources wisely.
  • Adopt a boy or girl, and support them through a defining year of their life.

What is new in the Remaster?
More activities:
Spend more time with your child and enjoy a variety of activities together as your little one grows.

  • Try out more recipes
  • Craft pine cone animals
  • Skip stones at the lake
  • Pick flowers in the forest
  • Enjoy seasonal activities together
    And More!
Perhaps there is a new way of using the newspaper clippings that you get in the mail every now and then?

Make new memories:
Your journal now holds more memories from the year you spent together with your child. Who can throw away the beautiful flowers you picked out together on a beautiful spring day? Decorate the rooms with your memories. Your journal will hold your struggles, as well as the happy moments.

Interact with your child:
Play and interact with your child more freely in this remastered version. Manage your time and resources while trying as many activities with your child as possible! Money is limited as always, but perhaps there are more reasons to not work overtime after all.

Improved Graphics:
Bringing My Child Lebensborn's graphics to today's level, tickle and pet your child to get heartwarming reactions out of them! The beauty of Norwegian nature is now more apparent, and you have more things to do outdoors!

Community Insight:

This game really broke us. Karin is such a little angel, and the ending with Solheim broke our heart. Seeing her shut down and refuse to bathe or eat really hurt us. We felt so maternal towards her the entire time, we were glued to this game for 4 and a half hours straight. Maybe 5 hours at most. We will never get over this game. You did a truly amazing job at capturing how evil people can be. We only wish Mr Berg wouldve been our childs permanent teacher, rather than having been replaced by Solheim.

We love this game and have played it twice already since we recently played it because of the new game coming out. It brings us comfort when the child is happy just how it breaks us when certain things occur in the story. Very well made game and very touching, Everyone should play it at least once.

Truly brings to light what so many children went through during these times. Very educational, heartfelt, and emotional. We adore this game and am excited to play the next one.

This is the saddest game ive ever played. Sa, trauma and bullying from adults real eye opener.

Dude when we tell you that this game is life changing, we mean it. It really opens your eyes on the conflicts that took place during and after WW2. Not only that, theres so much plot. We found ourselves genuinely caring for Karin, and we were so sad when the game ended. If you have any interest in the Holocaust or WW2, or you just want a sad yet fulfilling game to play, choose this one.

We wasnt expecting it to be so heartbreaking and emotionally difficult to play.

It is a really good game we just wish there was like a chapter 2 were you could continue the story or even have both the boy and the girl at once.

We're a Chinese player. To be honest, it makes us think it's not worth it! 1. This game has serious physical limitations. 2. The process is very long and boring, almost every day 3. The boring time is too long and there is no new idea. This price is too worth it! We're tired of it after half a day. -Google.

We were so excited to see new updates and Christmas town with different item cookies but it now stuck on the snow globe and wont let us go the next day for cookie ingredients and it sometimes repeats days over twice so we deleted and redownloaded but its still doing the same things cant wait for new stuff with upgrades please thank u we love this game just need a few updates here and there.

We had already played this like in 2021 but now that we want to play we have problems with the language, when we want to put it in Spanish it doesn't let us and the game gets stuck we tried it with our tablet and our phone and in none of them it wants to work, with the other languages it works well but with Spanish it doesn't.

Very good game. The reviewer who said that it was a bad game and that the child was never happy and didnt appreciate anything you did for them, put yourself into their shoes and try to act happy about your life.

Estuvo increble, muy real, muy triste y para ponernos a pensar. Us hizo llorar, creo que a ms de uno porque recrea genuinamente la vida que pudo experimentar cada nio.

This game almost made us cry. Some part were just so sad. But we loved the storyline and thought it was worth the money. We were really happy with the ending and thought it was a good way to end. We were a good length for this type of game but we need the next part. But this game was definitely worth the time and money we would 100% get it. :).

We had a lot of fun playing this game and it even taught us about the aftermath of w2 it is more than worth 2 dollars and it more than worth it definitely get the game if youre on the fence about it.

We will pay for a part two please add a part two this game is so great and we really really love it.

This game really broke our heart, you really get attached to your child and it really hits you hard when they go through the terrible things that happen in the game. The development team did a wonderful job showing the reality of some real life children that have experienced what our child in the game did! We highly recommend playing! <3.

Ok so us and our sister used to play this game together like 4 years ago when it didnt cost money now it cost money for right reasons but this game is awesome we have been playing it for years.

This game is really well made and performs well in gameplay, one thing we have to say is that we wish there was more like after they move away. We think thatd be awesome if we got a second one or an update because we love this game so much.

We really loved playing this game, the plot is so immersive and we think it has a really great storyline. The message is really heart warming too.

We love this game never cried so much.

Ever since our mom gave us this app we hope we get a season 2 soon, And it was the best game/story we never play on our life. We feel bad for her on the last chapter absolutely we never know what happen, they give us details bout based on a true story we hope we get a season 2 tho.

Absolutely love this game, very sad for what happened to Karin, (we picked the girl).

This game literally makes us cry so much since it makes you feel like you are really taking care of a child that gets depressed. We relate to Klaus so much, and since the game is based on real events, it makes it even more sad. ( sorry we don't have much to say ).

This game is super fun and its kind of sad when she/he gets bullied. But the things that we want is when they move away from the bullies, we want it to continue what we mean is we want like them to move into a different house and like same thing happens but she doesnt get bullied. She makes more friends and stuff. Developers, please read and if you can, please make the update.

This game was absolutely incredible. The pure raw emotion we felt while playing was awesome. It truly made us feel as though we were the parent of this child. We literally formed a whole emotional bond with this game lol. The words shown at the end of the game were so powerful and we are sad that its over. We will not be ashamed to admit we cried a few times lol . Wonderful game please check it out.

This is honestly one of the most emotional, deep, and real games Ive ever played. For a phone game it is INTENSE with storytelling, and if you like history this is for you! Im writing this review 3 years after playing for the first time, its THAT good. Ive replayed several times. The gameplay is simple, yet challenging. As you try to jumble all of your responsibilities while raising a child, a child that is marginalized at that. You have to manage your time, emotions, and finances while experiencing something very real and very scary. This game is a really good example of what life couldve been like for those in these positions. Its completely immersive, and we cried several times. We had very little knowledge going in, about this game, however Ive since have carried knowledge that this game prompted us to seek out about these cases. Its left a mark on us, very impactful, simple, and accessible as a phone game. If youre questioning on spending the $$ for it, we wholeheartedly encourage you do with no regret. Our ONLY cons: The game is repetitive, so we play to experience it again after waiting awhile, but not necessarily to get anything else out of the game. The choices ARE limited to how they impact gameplay and its not something you can play for an extended period of time constantly without getting bored. DISCLAIMER: overall we still stand on spending the money to play.

So fun we like when they are happy and we have to be a real mom is so good.

Its worth 3 dollars it was so good and sad at the same time we love the game we like how we know about some of the past and what it was like for the other we wished the game continued where they go to a new place but we love it anyways.

This game is so fun and addictive, while exploring true history facts at the same time. Klaus is such a sweet kid, we want to watch him grow up! If there were to be any changes to the game, change the cliffhanger please, or maybe allow a bigger time span for them to age. Thank you! Definitely worth the money.

This game is amazing we literally love it sm. We got this game a while ago when it first came out nd we played it bt we were younger so we didnt rlly have an opinion on it. Bt a few days ago we saw it sitting on our phone nd decided to re play it nd it was an amazing experience to relive. This game was so good nd we rlly wish there was a part two or something being made. Only complaints we have is wish the gameplay was a bit longer bt it rlly isnt like how the other ppl exaggerate it. Its not that short. Also, we wish we had a bit more time to do things because everything we do takes up a time unit. Also that the store isnt closed on sundays cs our girl is starvinggggg. Bt yeah we literally love this game sm nd we literally hate that teacher we swear! This game is a 10/10 nd we rlly hope to see more of it in the future.

We know its a lot that these children have had to endure. Its heartbreaking to think about everything theyve experienced things no child should ever go through. What really confuses us, though, is that these children had nothing to do with the horrors of the past. They were innocent, yet theyre the ones who suffer. The weight of it all has been overwhelming, and Ive shed so many tears for the child we raised, knowing they never asked for this. All they wanted was love and a chance at a better life, but instead, they carry the scars of a world that doesnt know how to heal. Its so painful to watch, but Ill keep doing everything we can to give them that love, despite everything.

This app made us cry multiple times, and got to our heart. We're not going to spoil anything, but we appreciate the tw at the beginning of the game. 100% worth the money.

This game was so sad for once in our life we felt that we truly had a child and now we understand the hard truth of having one we remember that our grandma used to get very sad when we were being bullied and now we understand why this game was so hard to play but throughout the game she always trusted us and we love that. At the end of the game it said thank you for giving this child something to believe in and we have to say thank you for giving us something to love.

This story was so sad. Its awful that kids were treated like that and this game also helped us learn more about it. We cried when we got to the part where she had to change teachers.. We definitely do recommend this.

This game is absolutely beautiful. The emotion, the story it tells everything.

We dont normally write reviews, but we needed to write one for this game. Im not even finished with it yet, and ive learned so much. Ive grown an attachment to the little girl we take care of. Its a very educational game, very well written, and we think its worth the buy.

We NEED MORE OF THIS GAME MOREEEEEEEEEEEE.

Im literally sobbing by the end of the game EVERY TIME we play this !! We love this game so much, and we feel so bad for the poor child at the end when its implied he/she got touched. This is such a good game and we literally love it so much!!! We cant wait for the MCNB to come outtt.

Wow! We downloaded this game 4 hours ago and had to play it through. We wanted to protect our little one at all costs and this story made us so emotional. It really gives you a glimpse into real life experiences that just absolutely break our heart. We found it hard to provide enough good food and work overtime but we guess thats realistic! For anyone who enjoys roleplaying games, this is a good game for you. Its more of a short interactive story since the story is based on true events and its truly very impactful.

We purchased this game to see what it was about. Im ugly crying, even after playing it over 3 times. We love this game so much, we love our virtual child , they deserve the WORLD. And it hurts knowing these childrens stories are based off of small fragments of the lives of children born of war.

This game had us in tears worth the money we really enjoyed playing.

A heartbreaking story that genuinely made us cry. We felt so connected to the child and wanted to shield them from the world and pain that was going on outside of the home.

This game is so amazing yet so sad but we love it and we think it teaches awareness.

This game brought us to tears. For little Karin goes through so much! Good job on really emphasizing what it was like.

At the age of twenty we were diagnosed with severe depression and cptsd and has been battling suicidal ideation our whole life since 12. This game healed a part of our heart. We wished someone took care of us.

This is the most heartbreaking and emotional game Ive ever played in our entire life. It is the only dark media that every time we experience it we cry, No SOB. If we had a complaint about the game it would be the warning in this game there is CSA (child sexual abuse) but the warning just says child abuse. CSA is obviously a very sensitive topic and the fact theres no warning for it upsets us. But besides that a great game with beauty and tragedy.

Ive played so many games and none of them top this one. Its so raw and emotional every-time we play this game we cry. Its truly beautiful.

This was the most immersive and heart wrenching game Ive ever played. We could really start to imagine what life couldve been like for these children. We almost felt as if this was our own child, and every action we made affected him.

We love this game so much.. We loved to spoil them. But we do agree with some of them about how if you have nothing to do when the child gets into detention, you will have to restart the game :( we still love the game and understand why you have to pay to get it :3 Btw the haters are probably young children who didnt understand the story >:[.
