My Child Lebensborn Reviews
Our sister bought this and we thought is was a a waste of money we were SOOOO wrong one of the beat games we played.
We played about 3 chapters last year. We accidentally deleted the game but now our apple wont let us redownload! Im very upset because we love this game.
We dont even know how to explain it without spoiling it. Its such a heartbreaking, miraculous, charming, awe-inspiring, superlative, exquisite game. We wish there was more games like this one, so intriguing and creative. There is no other game like this one that will pull you into a story so deep that you find yourself falling in love with your in-game son or daughter. Youll definitely find yourself laughing and crying, with and for them. Whoever sees this comment should get this game.
This is the best game we love it !!!!
A excellent game, but we warn caution to those that have trauma to be mindful if they decide to play this game. We formed a connection and bond with Karin, and was heartbroken at the horrendous things that happened to her. We felt defenseless throughout the play-through that we were unable to do anything significant or to punish those that hurt her so much. The story itself made our heart heavy like someone punched a hole right through it. We would like to adddespite this being a one of the best games we’ve played we cant play it again, Im glad we bought this game, but we could never get myself to ever play again, its just too sad. Im happy that the game goes to children who are in similar situations and need our help. This game is definitely here to educate us and to open up our hearts.
We loved this game (i binge played it) it was very emotional and very educational made us think in a different perspective. It was worth every penny. It is heavily applied that your child is SA which made us cry, so if your sensitive to that keep that in mind.
This game made us laugh, sob, and enraged all at the same time. We felt as if this was our actual child and it was our responsibility to make our child safe and happy. We’ve never experienced anything like this in a game before, it really opened our eyes and showed us how life was actually like in those times, it broke our heart. Overall if youre looking for a emotional but heartbreaking game with multiple endings, please play this game, you wont regret it.
We love the story and it was very moving but for 2.99 app game we expected more gameplay.. Feels like oh thats it? The game wouldve been better for .99 cents instead since there isnt anything more.
We dont typically write reviews for any games considering we dont play a lot of games but we really like this one, as we are emotionally attached to klaus. We feel really bad when it doesnt give us the option to read him a bedtime story, as he typically has really long, and terrible days. His days have gotten better and his mental health is getting better, we just wish we had more time with him after work/ school, or if there was more work options. Overall we really like the game.
We downloaded this game in the morning and finished it at night, we were hooked. It teaches you a lot about the Holocaust Era, and it honestly gives you a reality check as to what some kids went through. The game is laid out beautifully, you have to make a lot of tough decisions that ultimately determine how the game goes. We honestly wish there was more to it.
It was such a great game. It honestly felt like we had a real child. When we reached the ending of the game we were so bummed out because we wanted to learn more. We just wanted to point out how amazing this game is and 10/10 recommend it.
Ill admit, we had our doubts at first, but this game had us sobbing in 45 minutes we legitimately had to stop because we forgot that this is only a game. When our child was sad, it made us feel like we failed in protecting them. This was a truly awe inspiring game! We would recommend this to EVERYONE! 5 Stars.
This game is amazing. It tugs at your heartstrings. We never thought that we would be able to feel sympathy for a fictional character, but the sheer emotion that the child feels and how they talk about everything thats going on, you just cant help but to feel bad! This game is an absolute masterpiece, and we love every second of it.
We find it overall like Valiant Hearts. Good graphics and art style, yet at points its sad and even heartbreaking, like in Valiant Hearts (SPOILER ALERT) one of the main characters dies, saving a loved one. 20 seconds in, and we already felt like crying. Looking at the photos also touched us every time we look at them.
We love this game we hope more will there be more added to the story.
We found out about this game when a 6-hour playthrough got recommended to us on YouTube. About an hour in, we made up our mind to not spoil any more and download the game myself. We chose little Karin and was immediately entranced by the realism. Minutes turned into hours. We got real anxiety trying to keep our daughter safe and happy. When all those terrible things happened to her, we felt true motherly rage. Im an elementary education major so we’ve learned a lot about child behavior, and when Karin refused to eat or bathe it nearly broke us. We cant believe this game was free. This was a humbling experience that we will never forget.
The narrative was amazing, we wanted nothing more than to see Karin happy. We hope that more comes from these developers. We would like to see what becomes of the two of us after we left.
This game is so good. We love that they made a game to show what they have to go through. This story was beautiful. And we love story games like this. Thank you.
We started seeing this game on tiktok. A lot of people were recommending it so we went to the App Store and saw it costed money. So we were thinking not to get it however it says part of the proceeds go to charity and seeing it was only three dollars we decided to but it. We would like to say that this is a very long story game that can not be completed in a day. Witch we strongly like. Also this game has many choices making you in control of mostly what happens so you can play multiple times getting different answers and things can go differently each time. Another thing we like is that you can choose different children to take care of! One is a girl and the other is a boy. Like we said there is many options leaving you in control however the baseline of the story continues on. We had many feeling throughout this game with the things that happened to the child. We 100% recommend this game to everyone!!! We enjoy it greatly!
This game is emotional and it shows you the troubles kids can grow up with and how hard life was you should buy the game to support kids going through the same thing . Youll learn a lot.
We absolutely adore this game!! We also understand the storyline but we wish we had more time to do things and there were more ways the game could go like we wanna beat up the bullies! We get thats its for historical means but id be very entertaining if we had more options of things to do.
We didnt know about this game at first but once we started playing it we couldnt put our phone down. Its a very heart felt game that makes you feel like youre interacting with with adopted kid! Its honestly the cutest game we’ve ever played we just wish it was longer and had more chapters!! If youre second-guessing this game 1000% buy it!! We wish we could replay it for the first time again omg!!
This game is amazing, we have never felt so attached to a game before, we wish there was more. We fell in love with this game, all the emotion it brings, joy, happiness, sadness. Its so educating, we learned so many things. You have to get this game, youll love this game.
We have no words. This game was such a beautiful game to play and really helped us understand more about the affects of the holocaust. We already am intrigued by this topic, and this game just opened our mind up to so much more. It was very well made and everything was beautifully captured. We are so glad we were able to play this game.
We love it but we cried over it one time but we love it so much its the bes but sad at the same time <3.
Im not the kind of person to download mobile games like this but our friend told us about this and she downloaded it for us and wow am we impressed we absolutely love the game its really great! Its really fun for us personally and we definitely have enjoyed it a lot! Definitely recommend.
We are not the type to normally give Reviews but after we downloaded this game we knew we had to. This game is super fun, realistic and interactive. It asks you questions and gives you options and there is no app glitches. The gameplay is 4-5 hours and does not normally repeat the same thing again. It gives you hard decisions about what to do when society is hateful. It can be very sad at times but it is also fun most of the time.
This game is incredible we’ve never had a game like this this is our favorite game in the whole world Im kind of sad it ended. Personally myself Im very sentimental but this game is just crazy good its so sad and we cant believe that it was even based on a real story we love it so much we are really really sad it ended at the end we cried when klaus saw the king we really wanted to see him live his new life and making new friends that place was horrible we cant believe the kids peed on him like who does that and the teachers 2 like that place is so dumb to do that to a 7 year old kid when klaus didnt eat or take a shower or would play with the or would letme color with or let us tickle him and let him on the head we were crying for more than 30 minutes.
We dont usually write reviews for games, and we know a lot of people find this game boring but what we dont think they realize is its meant to be slow paced. This game is so touching and we’ve replayed it multiple times, we enjoy this game so much and we really suggest it.
This was one of the most incredible games we’ve ever played. There is so much detail that goes into it. So many emotions were put into this game. We would like to thank the developers for this experience. Also, thank you for bringing more awareness to these topics.
We cannot express in words on how amazing this game is, its not just a beautiful and well designed game. Its also just a wonderful story that teaches so much about a topic we knew nothing about. A beautiful experience and the creators of this game should be beyond proud with what they made. It runs a bit poorly on older phones but nothing that makes it unplayable, good stuff.
We loved this game when we first downloaded but it shows u and tells u what its like at the real world u have to work being able to provide food for Kirin or Klaus we got this game for free some people got it for 2.99 but it was free for me.
Love this game but when we forage or fish the food doesn’t show in our pantry :(
We cant just stop playing it its so cool all we need is more books for it more bedtime stories and part 2 of this game please.
This game is very heart breaking to know that this is actually based on a true story, its very good quality and cool game but its just sad to know that this actually happened.
We really enjoyed the game, it discussed a side of history never covered in history books. They really get you invested into the story, while making for a good player experience. But as a head up to any players who were survivors of child sexual trauma to play with caution. They handle the topic well, but it can still be difficult to play through if you suffered with that.
Absolutely amazing we totally recommend, you really learn lots and we almost cried a couple of times we love it.
Wow. What a phenomenal game but what a tragic one as well. We had no idea the stigma around German children in Norway. We always hear about one side of the Holocaust but we dont hear about the Lebensborn children. How unfair. This game is not for children though. SPOILERS AHEAD: The things that happen to your child in the game are horrid, and although it doesnt always outright say what happened, its very clear what has happened to your poor child. Our childs teacher Mr. Berg had us deeply concerned because we were afraid he had romantic/sexual interest in our child. Well it turns out yes, the poor child was abused but by the teacher that followed. This tore us up and had us furious. The game as we said earlier, never said this, but the child didnt want to eat, bathe or be touched afterwards so it was fairly clear the teacher had sexually assaulted her during detention. There was also a time when the child comes home and theyre covered in urine. We dont know who urinated on her but that truly tore us up as well. We cant believe this happened to these children just because of their German heritage. A profound, somber game that will stick with us forever.
We got this game not knowing whats was about. Trying to turn this child faith around, looking for any positive outcome became anything we care about till we finished. Even we heard about kids born to aliens soldiers we’ve never thought what future awaits them.
We’ve never cried in a game before we cant believe this has had happened to people before.
We were talking to our friend and she recommended this game we thought well might as well its 3 dollars but each dollar goes to charity we’ve had it for less than a day and it is one of our favorite games already we would definitely recommend this app for someone who likes history and likes to be a parent and make decisions and likes to role play as a parent you can work bathe dress bring your child to school and there is also a shop where you can by food and items to care for Klaus or Karin prepare for a roller coaster of emotions if you do decide to download overall a great game we are recommending WORTH THE 3$
The amount of time we have cried over this game is unreal. We never thought a game on our phone would make us so emotional. We feel terrible for everyone who has to go through these things in real life and we wish the best for all of you.
We played this game 3 times, and we cant stop. The message this story sends is very strong. The animations make it feel like its actually our child. Please buy this game! Its worth it!
We love this game so much it made us cry but Im a good and bad way and we just love it.
This game is awesome. Definitely should make it longer tho. For sure worth $3.99!
We just finished the game, and boy, it was an experience. A beautiful, tragic story of a little family after WWII. This is a game everyone should experience playing. Im so happy to know that part of the money we spent goes to a wonderful cause. Indie games like this one are truly something special.
We played this back in October and we just recently played it again its is a big ride of emotions and a by far amazing game.
We love this game and the story behind it. But whenever we tried to buy food its doesnt show up in our inventory, so we constantly have to fish for food. And its not enough to feed her and it makes our child run away:(
We enjoyed playing this game, made us just want to strangle the school and grandparents, but it was to short. A suggestion for the game to be longer, is to add more kids that you adopt when you beat the game for the first time. The different kids adopted, will create more story. If we made it seem like we were saying tons of kids in one storyline we didnt mean it like that. All different kids will be in different saves. Maybe add a infinite mode. These were our ideas and we hope you take this into consideration.
Completed the entire game in a few hours, we loved it. It was great we just wish it wouldve taken us longer to complete.
