Community Insight:

So we know this game is focused on Koi and stuff, but maybe there could also be a goldfish since they are relatives and also Im very excited to sealed the goldfish body types that could be added if the developers see this.

Ok so the title is a joke but like it is so peaceful to just sit and watch the fish swim around. Maybe we are too easily entertained but we absolutely love how stress kinda fades into the background when Im listening to the music/ambience and watching em swim. This is also just a really well made game. The graphics are soooo pretty, the mechanics are straightforward, and it doesnt feel like adding more stressful tasks to your day (feeding them is not a hassel at all, and isnt required every single day). You dont have to worry about fish dying but you do get to look forward to unlocking more slots as they get bigger! Plus you get to design how they look yourself (the fish and the pond backgrounds!), which is very satisfying and lets us create themed ponds that our weird little brain really enjoys. Not to mention, unlike almost every other collecting/caring for pets type game Ive played, you dont have to pay a stupid amount of money/grind to progress! Three dollars is a reasonable price, especially since the dev is just one guy in his spare time (or at least thats what the customer service looks like). We appreciate you buddy, this app is awesome!! Our only qualms are that the first time we open it for the day, its really slow to load and we have to exit the app and get back in for it to start up (really not even a problem), and that you can change the time of day for the ponds but theres no way to automatically sync it to the actual current time of day (which would be cool but again, not really a problem at all). Honestly we only mentioned those things so yall dont think Im a bot Goodness knows how many fake reviews are on the app store rn.

Great peaceful non-game. Please note we feed our koi on a daily basis; however, it's been something like a year now and no new breeds available and no more space, as promised. Has developer abandoned this app? We hope not.

Currently enjoying feeding our fish.

We wasnt sure about this at first. We were afraid it was going to be a game where we had to earn coins to do some challenge. We just wanted a way to relax. We have other fish tank apps that allow us to just watch which we used all the time. But this is way better because we get to watch them and interact with them. The only game type activity is that if you ignore them for a few days the pond gets dirty. But all we have to do is feed them and its better. Graphics arent life like but pretty close. None of the fish are cheesy looking. It has beautiful scenes and nature sounds or music. Wonderful way to relax.

We love this koi pond app. We like to have it going while Im working, with noise-cancelling headphones, it makes for a very tranquil mood. Glad to see the devs are keeping it updated as well, and we all appreciate that! Our only concern is that after a while, like maybe 20 minutes or so, we do notice our phone is quite warm. Im running an iPhone 15 Pro, so Im on a new device. We imagine its just the amount of processing power it uses, so we wanted to call that out in case thats something that could be worked on for a future update. Thank you again, devs.

The price is right for a very relaxing and hyper realistic app. Lots of thought and work went into this app and continues to get development and attention from the developer. This is hands down the best aquarium style app Ive ever experienced and its due to only get better. We keep the app open and running on our iPad next to our Mac and the soothing sounds of water, rain, thunder, and music make for a more delightful work experience. Taking a break every hour or so to feed our koi is a pleasant diversion from coding. To the developer: Keep up the great work. Youve done a stellar job here and we would love to see this continue to get better and better. With the next upgrade, Ill be buying the Mac app version too. Kudos.

Please update. Love this game and do not want to see it vanish from the store.

Ive been playing this game for 3 years. Its an amazing game! Very well made and very relaxing. Its been helping us a lot to calm us down. But..we wish you could update the app sometimes. Ive been playing the same game for 3years, no change at all.. We want more options to change the environment of our pond. More decorating options would be great.

We love this game but its having one tiny problem.we dont want to be mean but we need to tell you this.when we try feeding our fish it takes hours to get the food to drop we really want you to do something about it.and we love this game Ty for making this real.hope we dont hurt your feelings it was just a problem in the game.

The graphics on this game are flawless and definitely some of the best Ive ever seen. Its worth the little money, super fun just to watch and play with while youre bored. The sounds and music are peaceful and we love how it changes based on the view. You can customize the ponds and all of the fish are unique! We would definitely recommend if youre looking for a relaxing game.

Should be more if we can use the app as a wallpaper and do progress in game in wallpaper mode.

This has been a nice relaxing and entertaining gameI say entertaining because you can follow your fish around underwater, see how they watch you, swoop and steal pellets from the other fish, etc. It does have a few weird bugssome of the water plants may be too tall as we have thrown pellets that have stayed suspended in the air, and the fish go crazy trying to get to them. It doesnt happen often. Sometimes a fish will seem like its swimming up against a glass wall and needs to be tapped out of it. Also strange.

It is very truly worth paying for! We must say this game is just all around the best of its kind Ive seen! From the graphics being phenomenal, to the game being very simple and easy to use, it makes it very easy to just sit back and enjoy! We have very bad anxiety/depression and this game has really helped us with that. Every morning we sit back with our cup of coffee before work, check on our fishes growth/feed them. It gives us something to look forward to every morning. During stressful situations it also helps us just sit back and relax, kind of take a break when Im overstimulated with the world around us. We are sad Ive almost collected all the fish patterns. It would be cool in the future to see more patterns/colors to collect. We do love that the game is very simple and you arent getting pushed to spend real money on the game to get certain things. It would be cool if you could have a trade feature so you could trade your fish with different people for a fish you find you are more drawn to. Another cool feature would be a full customer option. Where you could customize the fishes body type, fine tune colors, choose the pattern you want and specifically where you want them, the different color of the patterns, the fin type and shape, also adding in some different types of long fin options. One last cool option would be if you could have unlimited ponds instead of being limited to just three so you can keep growing and adding more fish. Along with an option you can move a fish to any one of your ponds.

Love this app and very relaxing after this Covid situation in the world. Love it and our fish are 1000+ days old.

Update: You cant get closer to a real aquarium than our Koi! Its readily available right on your iPad; no trouble, no accessories needed. Relax by feeding and watching your koi swim around, and enjoy the delightful nature sounds that vary with time of day. Developer is very responsive and working on updates. First review: So beautiful and realistic; best of its kind! Love the nature sounds and water graphics. Come back daily to enjoy, feed (they grow a little each day), and interact with your fish in the ponds. You can customize new koi, as well. Highly recommended for those looking for a peaceful and relaxing sim.

Honestly, this game has the best graphics of any game Ive ever played on our phone, and is super relaxing. However we have been experiencing a bug where the fish suddenly arent able to move forward, the swimming animation will still be working, but they cant move, and it doesnt fix unless we restart the game. It usually either happens when we first load into the game or right when we feed our fish, and the highest number of fish it has affected at the same time for us has only been two, however it is still annoying when we have to restart the game because one of our fish cant eat anything. Also, we think it would be nice if while you are designing a fish, it gives you info on how large the fish is, and how big it is estimated to grow. Because we find it difficult to figure out if the fish Im creating is a decent size and wont end up being a small fish. And if you were to add more decor for the pond, maybe make it possible to add petals on the water, or a new type of lily pad with flowers on them, we forget what kind of flowers they are called. Also we think it would be cool if while you are feeding the fish, the fish can come up to the surface of the water and wait for you to drop more food. Also, our last suggestion is that you could add a currency into the game, where you can maybe sell your fish for money to buy either exotic looking koi, or maybe be able to purchase statues and more decorations for your pond.

We wish that we could move koi from one pond to another and they should have a horizontal view that you can add a waterfall. Great graphics and fish look awesome but after while it get boring without new stuff.

Ok so ive had this game for a long time. We love it but MY ONE FISH REFUSED TO EAT AND STILL HASENT EATEN IN WEEKS!!! Bepa just swims around with 0 happiness and avoids all the food. Pls help.

We ourselves spend hours fishing and watching our relatives koi pond, and this game just amazed us how realistic it is Im truly impressed with this game. Not to be offensive but it would be cool if you could add an community where you could see other peoples ponds or trade fish but its your game make it the way you want it. Thats just a suggestion. If anyone has negative feelings with the price we never spend a dime on games but this is one we had too it is worth every penny.

Our Koi is a great app! With its amazing graphics, relaxing soundscapes/music, and beautiful koi fish. It also can keep you entertained and fascinated by the fish swimming gracefully. We highly recommend this app.

Other apps graphics arent nearly as nice as this one and the fish animations are the most realistic.

For years, we had a wonderful koi pond app that stopped working when Apple moved to 64-bit apps. Ive been on the lookout for a realistic koi pond and was thrilled to find this one at a very reasonable price. The developer has done a spectacular job with the selection of koi and pond accoutrements, but we removed one star for three reasons. 1) The ponds are a bit murky on our devices (iPhone 11 Pro and iPad mini 5) even with the app set to HD mode and, yes, Im feeding the fish. 2) While watching the fish underwater, the action freezes for a second every few minutes disturbing the ambience. 3) Theres no way to control the underwater sunbeams and moonbeams, which we find distracting. Overall, though, this is a fantastic app and we highly recommend it.

We love how realistic the game is its very good.

We remember wanting to get this game SO BAD when we first saw it on the App Store. A few days later, we got the game, and we still play it to this day. We cant express how REALISTIC the fish look! We love the newly added decorations, and colors! Im so surprised this game is still active with bug fixes and new things. It makes us laugh every time a fish bumps into each other for food, only for the food to be taken by another fish. XD Improvements? We honestly cant think of any, that is how amazing this game is, heck- should we even call it a game?! Even better than a game! We love this since we absolutely always wanted to take care of koi, but we cant since Im too young to have our own animals. 10/10 game, and it is SSOOO worth it.

We accidentally bought this not knowing it costed money, may we get a refund? We didnt mean to get this and we really want our money back. Is there a way we can get it back.

This app is cool. Just started but we found another app that is WAY more realistic and fun. We still like this as well, wish it had more decoration options etc.

Ive only had this game for a few hours and its amazing! Im having so much fun with all the fish. Its great that you can customize the colors. And the pond designs are beautiful as well, and the background music is relaxing. Only suggestion we have is for the extras for the pond decorations. We think itd be really pretty to have some colorful plants to put at the bottom, or have some colorful rocks as a pattern for the bottom of the pond. But we definitely recommend buying this game for anyone who is still considering it! Outstanding job by the developer! Have a great day! – Kendall.

Just purchased this app. Great graphics that are even better in HD mode. Really like the underwater feature. We started with 2 ponds and 4 fish. You can have 3 ponds. Nice amount of options for the scenery and fish. Great audio quality too.

You guys should add different food to either have them grow faster or enhance color or we dont know how to explain but we hope you get what im saying, hope you guys read this and consider something like this :) love the game 10/10 and 5 stars garanteed.

If you need relaxing, and like fish. Get this app. NOW. This is by far the best graphics Ive ever seen. You can see how much work the devs put in this. We do think (Im our opinion) they should add a paint bucket? Like you have a complete color koi, then you pick a color paint and you make youre own splotch. We have a real koi, her name is Jewl (yes its spelled like that) and shes all white with one big orange spot on her head. We wanted to make her in game, but we cant get it just right. But this is an amazing game! Its WAY over with the money. Like heck, Id pay 20$! But for people who think this is a tycoon.. Its not. Its a relaxing game. So if your thinking about buying this. Dont wait. Buy it! Defiantly 5* thank you for making this game.

Im skeptical about buying apps on our phone but when we saw this one we had to try it and we dont regret it. The graphics are fantastic for a phone, the fish movements are just as good, you can customize your koi and the ambient sounds, weather and daytime cycle is perfect. This is not a fast paced app by any means but we think that enhances it because it gives a more authentic experience of having your own koi pond. To top it all off, one purchase and you get everything, no need for additional purchases. This app really nails it.

Not much of a game downloader as we never seem to stay interested in them because of various reasons. But we took a chance on this app and we LOVE it. Def worth the three dollars. We love how you get to watch them grow and change and Ive only had it for one day and we cant stop checking on them one thing we do wish that the app had was the ability to check your fishs health when youre looking from the outside of the pond while feeding them :) but that doesnt really matter also – we still give this a 5 star review! Thank you for actually making an app Ill use.

All types of birds include interactive feeding.

The graphics are so pretty and we love how you can customize everything. Even the fish are loveable and cute, but we would like to be able to name them in a different written language like korean. It would also be fun to see a breeding feature.

Its a great game, and very relaxing, we were just wondering if theres any way to breed the koi, but amazing game, keep up the good work.

Amazing app for the money; stunning graphics and lots of customizable options for your ponds and fish. Yes, ponds: there are three to enjoy. Functions very smoothly, even on full HD mode. Fabulous fish! We almost never spend money on games and this was worth it. Developers are also super helpful and quick to respond if contacted.

A beautiful, serene experience, just what we were looking for! We hope they continue to support the app forever, we would be devastated if it became obsolete. Looking forward to seeing new updates if they decide to go in that direction (maybe a cloud backup for your koi? We'd love to be able to transfer ours across devices), but if not, still more than happy to enjoy the app just as it is.

We never review apps, but this one is just fantastic. We grew up with a little pond in our backyard and we adore the koi. This app lets us create our own and watch them grow. Its just simple, peaceful, and looks amazing on our iPad Air. Well worth the price for no ads or micro transactions.

We adore this app! We cant keep real koi, and this is such a neat substitute. We think this little game is wonderful. Id only add the option to keep playing our own music alongside the sounds of the app. Even without that, it great.

We originally got this app just for the sake of having a decent koi pond app, and its far surpassed our expectations in that regard. What we didnt expect was for it to be an excellent sleep aid as well.

We have worked in a pet store for many years and been a hobbyist for decades. This is a very entertaining app that puts you in the pond for hours of relaxation.

Im not particularly a huge fan of fish, preferring aquarium fish ourselves, but we really enjoy this app. We play it on our iPad 9.7 where it is simply beautiful. The rain and thunder sound great, the fish are beautiful and highly customizable, and unlike real fish they do not seem to ever die; the worst thing that happens is that your ponds will become dirty if the fish are mad that youve been too long in between feedings. The ponds, like the fish, are highly customizable, from rocks, leaves, and gravel to the color of the water. You can change the time of day and choose to have little to constant rain and thunderstorms. We think its absolutely worth the $3 the developer asks for this app. We would love to see the developer take his fish designs and create an aquarium app that has dozens to hundreds of popular aquarium fish. The talent he or she has shown in the our Koi app tells us that the developer has the talent to create an aquarium app that would rival the best of them, and we would happily pay $3-$10 for an aquarium app created by this person or persons. The only complaint that we have with this app is that there doesnt seem to be much information on it – for example, can the fish die from starvation or just old age? If the pond(s) is/are not kept clean, can they develop a fishy disease? Can you over feed the fish, and will over feeding contribute to a dirty pond? We would also love to see maybe a random toad or frog that hangs around the pond once in a while just to liven it up a bit. Our complaint is a very minor one and is significantly overshadowed by all of the praise that we heap upon this app. Very, very well done.

This is the best aquarium on the AppStore. Its stunning in literally every way. Congrats to this dev for his or her spectacular work. It can only get better from here too. Hope to see updates in the future. P.s. We use this app every day.

The koi movements are very realistic! We love how each koi is different in color and pattern! This app is best used with headphones so you can listen to the calling sounds.

We have new iPad Pro so we are delighted with graphics. We love just watching. We are curious if u will be adding structures as time goes by. We wish there were more apps like this to soothe us when we are stressed. Thank you for creating this. You have a good spirit.

This app is our ultimate favorite! The animation is breathtaking and so is the details! We can not even imagine how much time the developer took on this app; in fact we probably couldnt do it ourselves! Whoever this developer is, we want you to know you have some astonishing skills and we really hope you use them for the best! Thank you so much for making this app, and we hope you have a pawsome day.

We just love this game!! Amazing graphic, zen natural sounds, cute and realistic koi fishes.. Everything about this game is on point. As someone who played at least a few hundred paid/free games on iOS over the past 10 years Ill just say its totally worth the 2.99 for anyone loves koi or just this Japanese mood. Its clever that every time when you try to get a new Koi the pattern will be a bit random so that no two are the same, and we managed to reproduce something (by hitting the button like a hundred times) that vaguely resembles the pattern of the most expensive Koi ever lol. Apart from the pretty realistic graphics, we really liked the background sounds in this game. You got everything from rain to cicada and personally we think its super relaxing (Im even considering linking our device to a sound system to play the rainy sounds in the house). Even though Im only a few days into the game, we noticed that the developers have already made some minor updates during the time and this is pretty cool – theyre still adding bits to the game according to reviews and this matters a lot A few suggestions might be to add some feature to enable us moving koi between different pounds; slightly more landscaping choices of the pound and more adjustments to the Koi specs. Itd also be cool to be able to name the Koi some non-English name (Im using all Kigo so). This game is already pretty nice as it stands and probably one of the best of its kind but it also has HUGE potentials at the same time. Will recommend to all our friends whore into either Japanese culture/gardens or fish and people looking for a relaxing way to spend a few minutes per day.

Its a nice simulation if you wish you had fish but dont have the room or time to take care of them. We would say that for future improvements and add-ons it would be nice to see: – Genders! Which leads us into… Breeding! The game could give you the opportunity to breed fish and make hybrid or better purebred fish. Fish will become visibly pregnant and have a gestation period (3 days) and eggs will be lain in the water. After some time the eggs hatch and small fish emerge and grow normally like all the other fish. – Have in-game currency that can be gained through the player selling really elaborate or prized breeds. The older and the larger the fish the more currency gained. Also fish can be required to reach a certain age before they can be sold. – Death/disease. The fish can have the possibility to get sick with common fish illness from dirty water or malnutrition. They eventually die but we dont know how long they should live in real time. -Ability to transport koi to other ponds. Would be cool if you could move koi around and organize the difference ponds depending on the coloration/type/age of fish. Excited to see improvements in the future.
