Ive played all of Gagexs games, and this one is our favorite along with Hungry Hearts Diner 2! Heres to hoping that they release Oden Cart 3 in English one day.
The aesthetics are right up our alley. Love these! Keep them coming.
We love this game!! We remember seeing the owner of the Dumpling shop from the first Oden Cart (we think she was in the first one, but its been a hot minute since Ive played it). We like how her and the mother-in-law always saying mean things about each other no matter what Oden Cart theyre in! That ending was the best by far! Definitely worth getting.
The stories are so sweet and everything ties together in the end. Really enjoyed both the first and this second game.

We played this game some time ago on our old phone but couldnt find it again when we got our new one. We were very happy to find this again! This game has a great art style and its a great game to just pop in and out of. All the characters made us want to see all of their endings, we really liked all of them.

This game is absolutely amazing. We stumbled across the first one and after finishing it, we had to pick up the second. This one is everything that the first one was and more. Some of the stories from this one are similar to the original, sure, but these stories felt more complete and emotional. We even teared up at some parts! If you enjoyed the original, we can assure you that this one is worth your time.
U don't have the right to make us cry like that with ur good games.
This game is amazing every character has their own story and endings which can be unlocked by serving them Oden or food which is very interesting.
This game is very relaxing to play, and the stories are very interesting. We hope the third installment is also translated to English.
The oden cart games are so sweet and adorable and we love all the characters stories so much!! They tie together so well. Really hoping for the 3rd installment to be translated to English. :).
To actually view the ending scenes for characters you MUST complete all the stories for whichever characters are involved. Once all the gripes are unlocked you can view the ending cutscenes, which is different from the first game. Just be patient and get those gripes! :) (ps we LOVED this game and the first one, the gameplay is super simple but the stories are so endearing).
Update, we see a Oden Cart 3 in the store. Please release it in English. These are wonderful stories. We really enjoyed this game. We are looking forward to more Oden Cart games. This was fun to play and the characters stories were interesting. Please release more Oden Cart games in English.
We absolutely adored the first one of the series. This one again did not fail, especially with all the characters design. You get your tension, sinister, etc. But overall of course, the stories are very heart warming. The only issue with game is it keeps making us crave oden so much.
So if you exit out of the app on their final dialogue before their revelations and go back in, you can end up skipping the end scenes entirely and soft-locking. You cant review the ending despite the label saying completed and the game doesnt register it towards the final ending and credits. Only way left is to restart. Just beware of that.
We recommend the first Oden Cart to this one, but the ending was still just as satisfying.
We usually really love the games from this developer because the gameplay is easy and Im usually surprised by the stories for each character. The last oden game had a few plot twists and although getting the ending for a character may have spoiled the endings for others, the story still had plenty to offer. This game plays similarly in style with it being really easy and money not really being an issue, but the endings for characters are unlocked once you finish another character who is their counterpart. However, we were really disappointed in the stories. There were no real twists, except for the oden man, and it was predictable. The stories could be heart warming for other players out there but we left feeling a bit disappointed in the plot. Its just lacking in gripping emotion like the first one and other games by the developer. We see that they developed a 3rd game that has yet to release in English. We hope its better than this one.
Its a cozy game to check every now and then. Not super amazing, but nice.
We actually liked this version better than the first Oden Heartwarming Tale. We do recommend that anyone play both, just to get the full story line. This one just seemed a little more creative. The ending was really sweet and felt like the story wrapped up perfectly. There was even a reason for the old man to travel back in time to Edo. We did miss reading each character's plot line individually. In this version, you have to unlock TWO character's story lines before reading the ending. A lot of people thought this was a glitch; it's not. This is why you can see the character is marked as completed but can't read the ending yet. This isn't true for all the characters, but the majority are like this. We also liked the new background music; it's very relaxing.
Its still a good game, an enjoyable tale… But it isnt quite the same. To get the ending tales, you have to finish all the connected people in the ending. Instead of everyone having their own ending, many are in pairs. There are more ads than the last one, which can be frustrating… But the way they used it to try and hurry your game along is nice. Especially towards the end when you only need to finish 1 or 2 people. Overall we think its worth playing, its not like itll take too much of your time.

The stories are great in how they are intertwined. The conversations are funny and sometimes surprising. We like how it's not difficult to earn money and we can just enjoy the stories. Also, the oden really looks delicious.
Love it just as much as the other if not more! Made us want to wake up middle of the night to check if we got any more gripes. Can't wait for the other games to get translated.
What a wonderful little game! We found ourselves genuinely becoming invested in the storylines, especially that of the young samurai and the eyepatch man. We noticed a few tweaks from the first game as well. Customers whose storylines are complete don't visit anymore except for the old lady and her daughter in law. Excellent change.

Was waiting for the English version :) Love Gagex games! Their stories are the best.
We were really excited to see this was finally translated in English so we could play it! We really enjoyed the first one. It's a very relaxed game and that's what we like about it. We've already completed 3 character stories, but we only gotten the little story after the character's story is completed for one character, the Scribe, who we finished second. It says "ending" when we check her profile, but not for the other two that we have completed. We can only assume that this is just some kind of glitch and we hope it will be fixed in a game update real soon.
Well written storyline. We can't stay away from this game for that reason. The gameplay could have more depth as it is mostly just screen tapping, but it is relaxing. We hope a third one comes out.
The original was a great cross-section of the lives of modem Tokyoites. The sequel drops you back to ancient Edo and so sets you up for more of a tour of historical tropes. Dish up the Oden and let the story come to you! We do recommend they original game more than the sequel – the time travel fantasy takes away from the sense of reality present in the first game.
