Find out what gamers are saying about Panzer Corps:

We’ve had this game for years; we play it over and over again. Awesome. Please please port PG2 to iPad.

Top 10 all time strategy/war game! Tons of fun. Faithful to the original Panzer General on PC. Literally decades of playability. Now if they could just port the original X-Com over to IPad!!

Finally a great dynamic game that doesn’t do "Pay-to-Play" love game creators like that. Just pure fun. Adjustable AI response, level, more "prestige to you." Just a perfect game. No need for internet connection to play. Well worth our money. Thank You. Will buy the expansion pack. Note: IOS 7.1 is non responsive though. Had to update our Ios to play.

Fantastic! We have spent many hours playing this game. We are a traditional hex board gamer.

Thanks for the continued support, devs. We have learned of Slitherine’s decision to shift its focus away from iOS at some point in the near future. We just hope that you maintain the existing apps, especially Panzer Corps, after making the change. And please release a Steam version of Panzer Corps that works with Macs. It’s long overdue. ***EDIT: Thanks for the continued support and for releasing the new "lite" version. Now more people can sample the goods before buying.

We have played this for many years, first on iPad mini (original) and now on the latest iPad. Its fantastic and theyve done a great job porting the game from PC to have an extremely good user interface. Going back to the original Panzer General, this ranks among the best hex war games of all time.

Love the game but needs updates.

Would be great if you can do to the old China General game that was similar to this.

One of the best strategy games comes to the iPad. This is a must buy if you loved the old Panzer General series. We were waiting for this to be released for the Mac but am very satisfied at this iOS version. We hope more strategy games of this caliber is released on the iPad.

We’ve been a historical war game enthusiast for over 55 yearsfrom the first days of Avalon Hill! Im not a computer geek & use an ipad pro. This game is really amazingthe first big breakthrough for ios users in this area. The graphics are great, and its fairly easy to learn on a basic level. Its ability to recreate both strategy and tactics is impressive. With its dozens of scenarios and campaigns and skill levels for opponents, its hard to imagine ever running out of challenges. This is what we dreamed of happening some day as well moved and piled those small little chits around on hexboards and calculated all those battle odds! Here it is! We could go on and on. Words beggar description.

This is still an amazingly engrossing game and one of the best strategy games on the iPad. But it is sooo old. Time for a refresh and optimization for newer devices.

Title says it all. It engaging if you like historical operational strategy games.

Update: Is it time for a rewrite, or something, to speed the game up on the newer devices like the iPad Pros. The game is getting tedious, waiting on it. After playing close to a dozen other WWII games, Panzer Corps has become our go-to WWII strategy game. The closest we think maybe Open General. Review titled, "Just gets worse…", they are incorrect about no easy way to contact the developer. Just use the developer web site link provided by the Apple App Store and go to the bottom of the page. Click on the Contact Us link. That said, they are not always fast in responding on the rare occasion that we needed support.

Great war game with lots of content. Needs an update to take advantage of 11 screen.

Great game but it is unbelievably slow at times. The large campaigns are often unplayable.

If you are going to steal someone elses idea at least make an attempt at doing a good job of it. This game has terrible balancing. The easiest setting is too easy and the very next setting is too much of a jump in difficulty. Not to mention, there is no point to building up your army if when certain scenarios come around you are forced to leave behind a huge chunk of that very same army. It completely defeats the purpose of building up an army to begin with. We know you people at Slitherine dont give a crap about your customers but you should really upgrade this and fix these issues. You all must think its cute living up to your namesake.

At first we thought this was a great reboot of the old P.G. Game. But once you start playing the German side you realize that the fix is in. No matter how good you do in the scenarios you cannot beat Russia. In the battle for Moscow, you can take the city but the following scenario you have to retreat back, never to follow up and retake the city. In the old Panzer General and all the proceeding P.G. Updated games you can. You can take Moscow as early as 41 if you choose to or as late as 43. But this Panzer Corps no matter how successful you are, you find yourself retreating back to Berlin. At least with the old P.G. Game you can alter history. Also, if you are following the scenario base from 39 and up you cant transfer over to 42\43 West with your whole Army. After you finish 41 you are stuck fighting in the Eastern Front, in a un-winnable war. Save your money and dont waste it on this poor replacement to the once great Panzer General. Hopefully P.C. 2 will be better, but we doubt it.

We love the game, played it on PC long time ago. Even the iOS version is pretty good. Here’s the issue, we bought the Panzer Corps Gold and it does not play the added scenarios or campaigns. That’s $59.99! Although our screen has the option to play Panzer Corps Gold, it does not and will not play. We’ve reached out to Slitherine and the response has basically been "talk to Apple". As people probably know this is not an Apple problem. So enjoy the game, just don’t spend any money on upgrades or else you might be throwing your money away to expand a great game. Too bad.

Over the years have had to purchase and then re-purchase this monstrosity. The company wanted to blame our up-to-date iPad with plenty of storage instead of working to refund or give us some credit after spending $60 avoid avoid AVOID!

We had hoped to recreate the great memories of playing Panzer General 2. This is a less elegant, less playable bottom of the barrel facsimile of PG2. We wasted money and time on this product.

No audio on iPad Air 4. Unacceptable.

This is worse than a casino. The odds calculations are just outright lies, because the games implementation of combat outcomes as an average doesnt align with what any normal human uses the word average to mean. The random factors are so stupendously outrageous, that you assume the system is cheating. We get one-in-a-thousand results every fifth combat. We might be llying in that claim, but that would give you the same feeling you get watching what happens in rcombats against what the combat reports say should happen. Its so laughable, until you just get bored and annoyed by it. So, a lovely game, with complexity galore, totally and utterly ruined by the reporting system it uses. So sad.

We love what Slitherine has done with this game. It is a wonderful rendition of Panzer general and Panzer general 2. The only helpful criticism we would have for this game would be to include a list of special abilities and leadership abilities.

We have never been a fan of the Panzer General series due to all the ridiculous combat results we would see 4 games into any campaign (conscripts completely annihilating our 3 star infantry after a "rugged defense", etc.). We understand this was to make it challenging but we would just lose interest. Whoever came up with limiting the randomness is brilliant. That was all the series was missing. Great history, innovative scenarios, and these downloadable modules are incredibly well written. We are going to spend 50 bucks on DLCs for a game we deleted years ago (before dice chess). Panzer Corps is as close to perfect as a historical strategy game can be (pay close attention to terrain people). Buy it today if you like this type of game and want to test yourself (while having fun). Update: we are playing the Soviet expansion and finding some scenarios with Germans units that are way too strong (overstrengthed Panthers at Tatsinkaya?). In the past we would have had to start the whole campaign over again on an easier setting (and replay the same battles). Now we just reload an earlier save and change the difficulty at the end of the battle. Brilliant! This also allows us to tweak the game by giving the computer more units when invading the Soviet Union (make the game harder as needed). The Grand Campaign has incredibly subtle details that really make the game enjoyable (such as real life war heroes). There are so many scenarios in the DLCs to play (I play around 3 or 4 times a week) that someone could easily be playing this thing for years. Outstanding!

This game has good graphics and mimics the original PC game. There are still balance issues in this game. We think the German units are weaker then they should be. Our biggest problem with this is that to play this game fully you would have to pay more than a top, new release video game and that is not a value. Too much cost of in-app-purchases and you have already paid more then the majority of iPad games to start.

We just purchased this game from iTunes and when we try to start it all we get is a black screen. The game does not start. You would think that for $20 you would get a game that works. We have an iPad mini 2 running iOS 10.

A much more detailed US campaign, this provides many of the extras found in the German Grand campaign that makes it so much fun. Things like: non-hex based objectives, the ability to bring over your core from one campaign to the next, and little "surprises" you don’t see in Allied Corps. These are all welcome additions. However, we had expected graphical and stat mistakes to be fixed from Allied Corps. Most egregious, the graphics for the M4A1 and M4 A3 still show them with long 76mm barrel. Also there are non-sensical stat differences between them, all should be the same. The AT rating of the M3 Lee is too low, ignoring the 75mm gun completely. Seriously, take a peek at how a game like Flames of War has statted these vehicles and at least be consistent in a relative manner. If you’re looking for more of the same quality campaigns from this series you won’t be disappointed. If you’re looking for graphical and stat mistakes to b fixed you’ll be disappointed.

Updated our IPAD Pro to the latest 1.26 on AppStore. Was able to purchase the US Corps but now when we try to launch the game we get an App Crash when the red progress bar gets a little over half way across the screen. Deleted and re-installed with same issue.

This is an awesome game for which we have played many an hour, but recently for no apparent reason the game randomly stopped awarding prestige on many of the objectives. Sadly this is a game-breaking bug. We hope it gets fixed soon. UPDATE – Latest update fixed bug. Back to 5 Stars. If you like turn-based war games then this is the game to get.

We have been playing this game for over a year and unlike all other iPad games, we have not stopped playing this one. The sheer amount of depth in the DLC and the game itself have allowed us to spend 100s of hours perfecting our armchair tactical command skills. The game’s story campaign is fun, and perfectly balances increasing difficulty and freedom of strategy. The DLC is truly were the game comes into its own. We highly recommend the Grand Campaign pack, it’s high upfront cost is a great investment. Since it took us around 40 hours to complete years 39-45 on the easiest difficulty setting. Once your tanks get rolling, supported by infantry, artillery, and aircraft, you’ll feel unstoppable. Try out the story campaign and know that you are only skimming the surface of what this game has to offer.

A seemless port of a PC game classic. Easily the best wargame avaiable on the iPad. The game has enough depth to satisfy the serious wargamer, but is simple to learn for newcomers. The instant availabilty of al the DLC campaigns for the PC is a great bonus.

Our fav game all time, fun getting back into the game, great Soviet campaign, very challenging. Lots of surprises and stategy so important. More, more, more.

We’ve now found 4 scenarios in which you are always the axis player even if you choose allied or hot seat. For this kind of money, all this should be flawless. In US campaigns, 1944, D-Day won’t load….. Just goes back to the opening screen for new game, load game, multiplayer, etc….. REALLY disappointed…. This WAS one of our favorite games. And there is no easy way to contact tech support. We love these kind of games, and most of the competing games actually have an easy way to contact them. AND we get emails back from the developer(s). Not so hear….$80 or so invested, and we’re just SOL we guess.

1 star because "Give us Everything" from the previous version doesn’t come with Russian campaign.

Love the game. How do we restore our in app purchases?

Slithering makes bar-none the best strategy games for the iPad. Panzer Corps is a great game that’s easy to learn and hard to put down.

We have been frustrated by the lack of depth in the offerings from the App Store for real strategy games, much less anything historically based. This game overcomes that with room to spare. The campaigns are historically based and very detailed. The A/I will actually think and plan strategy that will test you, and the changing difficulty levels work for casual and experienced players. The additional in-app purchases are huge and allow for many more scenarios than just the vanilla version. A couple of thoughts for Slitherine- with the new iPhone 6 we would love to see this available on the new phones as well as iPad. If you are concerned about the $20 price tag and wondering if it’s worth it- take the plunge, it is!

A true successor to Panzer General. Hands down the best strategy war game on the Ipad.

We fly all the time all over the World and this game save our life on those long flights, Thank God for this game it is the remake of old game panzer general done in the brilliant way for I-pad worth every penny. Finally we have a good game for I-pad.

If you liked Panzer General, just by Panzer Corps!

Amazing game that plays like a dream and no bugs to speak of!

Panzer Corps is really an updated version of SSIs CLASSIC Panzer General PC game from the 1990s but Panzer Corps gives us more of everything that made PG a classic. Fully modernized from the beautiful new unit graphics to the silky smooth user interface this game is a masterpiece. The amazing thing is that the iPad version retains all of the functionality of the PC version (except a scenario editor). There are tons of additional scenarios and battle packs available and you can move game saves back and forth between the iPad and the PC (which is fantastic). We’ve played this game since the original in the 90s and we’ve never tired of it so the replay value is obviously very high. This game is a longtime classic for so many good reasons. Easily one of the very best strategy titles available on the iPad. We believe Slitherline’s Warhammer Armageddon uses the Panzer Corp engine. Id love to see an iPad port of that spectacular game.

Very fun. Panzer general but better. Especially the DLC german campaign. Have had it for months amd started replaying again recently.

This is one of the best strategy games you can get, especially on the iPad. + Full of adventure + Develop your own army and tactics +/- Fun (but really long-term) multiplayer + Tough AI + we didnt really lose our job – Multiplayer community could be more robust we probably couldve learned Spanish with all the time we put into this game. We can put it down for a few months, but always come back to it. No regrets!

This is just one of the best war games out there. If you are a fan of the old panzer general series, you will love this one! Highly recommended.

If you liked SSI’s Panzer General, you’ll definitely appreciate this gem. It’s perfect.

It’s awesome. The best strategy game we ever played. And the company Slitherine is the best game maker ever. Please add Pacific Theater, Skirmish mode on scenarios mode to. You guys keep up the good work. Thank you.

Great job, very very close to original panzer general game! Two improvements to get it closer: 1. We should be able to delete core units (example infantry) and switch it to panzer or delete fighter add bomber, etc. This was a feature of the original 2. We should be able to change the name of core units eg 6th panzer to Panzer Lehr . Again a feature of orig pg.

Beautiful and engaging, deep yet accessible. We cannot say enough good about Panzer Corps. While the high price might scare many, you definitely get what you pay for!!
