HANDS DOWN the best game on the App Store.
We like; how the ground cracks and the leaf color changes. We dont like; how it doesnt have 5 stars and how ratings that are lower than 5.999999 exist.
Im tired of those instant gratification games that get people fiendish for dopamine. This game is different. Its so soothing and it gives us something slow and steady that doesnt demand our attention at all times of day. We come back day after day to check on its progress and once its big enough there are so many branches to tinker with. Nice addition to our mindful mornings.
Im truly elated this game exists.
We would love it if you guys added pruning techniques.
This allows us to not only relax and have a peaceful creative space, but practice designs to use on our own real life much slower growing trees.
The game is amazing except for the fact that almost everything cost money Maybe make some of them obtainable by an add.
This game is in real time. Im reviewing it after 48 days. Some of our trees in real life are this difficult to train, but this game is strange: if you trunk chop to get a new leader, the game doesnt really respond like a real tree where the hormones get redistributed and you see a new top… In this game the trees just do what they were doing before, same leader regrows and the branch you select as your new leader will be permanently just a branch. Its a little early, but the game is just off. Bonsai techniques will NOT work in this game.
We love this game, although that might just be because we love zen type games, but this is amazing, only wish there were more free types of trees.
This is such a cute game and we love playing it. We do agree with the other comments that 2$ is a little much for extra things on a free game but Id still pay cause its so nice and relaxing. The only down side we’ve found is its hard to control the view of the tree and when you go to ajuste the limbs.
We think u to get coins per branch and pots cost 100 coins and that u should be able to make hybrid trees. Thank you.
So Im seventy days into our plants and we love this game in and out. But it has one major flaw. First you can only rotate the plant and not move the pot in 3D space. Makes really weird angles for using the trimming tool. If this one little issue was fixed it would be perfect imo. Then players could also make full and semi cascade trees.
This is a very calming and high quality game. The way time passes in the app is very nice and the notifications arent annoying at all. However, there are too many features that need to be paid for. Your plant ends up looking a bit boring after a while without the fancy add ons. We understand that you need to make money, but maybe have more free items or at least lower prices. Love the game, keep up the good work!
Good game but seriously no one is going to pay you 2$ for a roc decoration or a new pot color even a new tree for 2$ is Stretch game is good trees are beautiful and fun to tend to however trimming either needs to include trimming leaves or not but if you keep it a limb only prune system make the leaves transparent during trimming so you can actually see the branches you are trying to manipulate also if you wanna make money charge people to speed up time thats something bing we would spend money on. Make trees and decorations an achievement for us who play hour app. You cant go wrong with these simple changes good game app.
This game is legit one of our favorite apps on our phone. But we cannot, for the life of us, figure out how to buy new pots and trees. All we get is a $??.?? On all the products. Any way to get around this? Id delete it and re install, but we dont want to lose progress on our trees! Also as a side note: Id love to see bonsai techniques working better on in game trees (such as trunk chopping to get more taper, pruning for ramification/back budding , and choosing new leads for branches) Over all a fantastic app!
Ill start out by saying the Pros: we’ve had this game for a long time & we’ve always really enjoyed it, especially for our Anxiety. Its calming and relaxing if youre feeling stressed. And we also really like how its set up to grow like real time for the trees. To us, it makes it a lot more interesting to have to wait and find out what your tree will look like, and learn patience as you wait eagerly to see what unfolds as your creation once your tree has really started growing and you’ve start curving & snipping. Now the Cons: The reason we gave 3 stars is because as of recently the game wont open at all. When we click on it, the app shuts right down every time and we’ve checked to see if theres any app updates, none. So, Im unable to play it anymore until something is fixed. We think it needs updated ASAP! From searching through the version history, it looks like its been 2 years without an update? We would guess that it would start to have issues by now. Also because the add ons (flowers, plants, rocks, ect.) are wayyy too expensive and in our opinion there should be a way to get them for free… Just an idea but what if you made it so people can level up in the game to reach these items? We’ve been playing it for a long time and never once received anything for free other than what came with the game. We would personally never pay the prices asked in it- so we’ve stuck to the free options. But we think the game would really take a leap forward if it changed up and made a way to collect these items without paying actual money.
Controls are a bit weird and so are the camera angles. But a nice simple game, captures the art of bonsai well.
There is not much here (which is fine) but what is there is locked behind a ridiculous pay wall. We mean 2 dollars for a tree and 1 solar for a flower? There should be bundles that are 1-2 dollars each. These IAPs are ridiculous.
Fun to watch it grow but: am unable to prune. Cutting marks appear but nothing gets cut. Correct this please. Also add many ore pots and items to choices.
Ok so it is the most awesome calming game on the planet but all the Decore and trees cost money and it is annoying anyway if you mad a game currency to buy stuff instead it would be nicer and also a better game ( make like some vip items that you must purchase but then add some for a game currency)
Game is not supported by dev. There are loads of trees but we cant unlock any because in app purchases are off. We love the game. Wish the dev would just unlock all trees for everyone who plays since there is no way to get them now.
Dont get us wrong, we love the concept. What is more relaxing than watching your own personal bonsai grow to perfection? But there is one thing that would ruin anyones meditative state… And thats paying two dollars for EACH bonsai, excluding the two you start with. There is nothing zen about micro-transactions. Maybe itd be a fair price to pay if it wasnt a game about watching a tree grow. We dont think very many people want to spend two dollars, only to see the results two weeks later. On a different note… We think the game would be a lot more interesting if there was more personalization. For example: Instead of having fifteen tree types, (thirteen of which are blocked by paywalls), how about having one singular bonsai that, via different growing methods, can grow into a truly custom tree? These methods can be environmental, like the temperature or the humidity… Or artificial, like different fertilizers or soils. If making the app less pay-to-play would be too devastating to your piggy banks, than how about just making the game cost a few dollars pre-download? Some may think of that to be an inconvenience, but at least you know the price from the start. Just a few thoughts. We dont want to pick apart this calming little app, we really dont. We honestly love the art style and the music. But if the content was more accessible, thatd be a major improvement. Thank you.

This game just exists to tempt you to pay them money.
This game is great and pretty straight forward if you want a game that has a zen feel and just want something to relax too or if you like bonsai . Does take patience to wait for the bonsai to grow . The only issue we have run into is that we can not find out how to get more bonsai or leaf and color variations . We hope we will figure out soon or some notice would be made on how this is possible.
