It gives us everything we need to easily keep track, power up, all our Pokmon. The app is really a wealth of info Using this app we have managed to power up, to level 40, 54 Pokmon. We have a great army for any battle we join. Thanks PokRater!

This is (was) a great app!! Now that the analysis has changed, we hope it gets updated. We’ve been checking here for info but havent heard anything yet. Will the app be updated fir the latest game changes?

This was one, if not the best, Go rating apps with the additional functions it had and the best keyboard out there. That said, it hasnt been updated for some time to take into account the new in-game rating system and has fallen way behind the competition. Hopefully an update soon will correct that.

We were excited, but in creating a custom keyboard, we found many symbols we use to be missing. Under the Unicode miscellaneous symbols category, we use the data rich three bars symbols to describe our best Pokmon … Rather than we use … Solid bar means 15, broken bar means not 15. A couple others missing would include and so on. Given the inclusion of so many characters we doubt anyone would use, we dont understand why these were dropped. Sure, its for us, but we all have our naming conventions, so we dont understand the pick and choose decision by PokRater.

We’ve tried all the IV checkers available. This one is the most extensive, and nice looking. Pretty easy to use.

We’ve had this app over a week, and we still am thoroughly confused by it. We usually use PokeGenie but saw that this had a connection with PokeBattler. But Im thinking of deleting it because the PokeBattler portion isnt worth the problems Im having. If the following items were fixed, Id use it along with PokeGenie (PG), but otherwise Ill delete it: -Why scan history?! Why cant we just have a Pokmon listing that is easily searchable like PG instead of making five steps to see all of one Pokmon?! -what is the point of us scanning when we have to type all the data in?! Useless, its only good for the pic of the Pokmon and thats it. -the weaknesses/strengths from attacking Pokmon is a great idea, but theres no way to see what our pokes are strong AGAINST. Use that tech to show us what our pokes move set is weak/strong against and this app might be worth it -when we update a powered up poke, the scan ends up in our history and we get doubles which is so annoying we do NOT recommend this app! Save yourself some work and grief and get the PokeGenie app. Its SO much better!

We have an iPhone XR, and the scanning is terrible. We have to manually enter the CP almost every time, and for the last few days, we’ve had to manually choose the level arc on almost every one too. We dont know if its like this on all devices, but its been terrible lately.

We wish it had energy, and damage numbers for each move instead of an arbitrary percentage ranking. Example, Razor leaf does: XX base damage, gives XX energy, and lasts XX time.

We love the app, but every time an update comes out we have to add the keyboard again…

Can the csv export include the same fields you export to Pokebattler, e.g. Name,CP,Level,AttIV,DefIV,StaIV,FastMove,ChargeMove1,ChargeMove2?

Used to be 90% accuracy without having to enter anything extra. New update is less than 50% accuracy. Super disappointing, but way better than other apps that we’ve tried, even in this form.

Most recent update reverted the fixes to scanning accuracy so we now have to manually enter CP and power up stardust cost every time. Big deal breaker even though we love the keyboard for copying name templates.

There are a lot of things we love about this app: keyboard for naming, movesets, sorting by max possible iv. The stardust isnt really fixed for us, so we doubt Ill be using it until that corrects. It takes too long to go through the import when we have to manually touch 95% of our scans. Also wish the default when sorting by pokedex number could a secondary sort like by CP or recent. Things were working great until a few weeks ago.

Its a pretty good app, we wish there was an on screen version that you didnt have to screenshot and then import the photos to. As for the photos, we wish there was a way to delete the thousands of non Pokemon pictures that it scanned out of our photo collection.

Truly a must have for the serious Pokmon trainer! Our favorite feature is the iOS keyboard integration which enables us to quickly rate a Pokmons IVs and generate the text clues to name our Pokmon with. The app is also frequently updated, and well worth the full feature subscription!

What do we do how do use all of the things HOOW.

This app is probably the best we’ve seen not only visually but mechanically smooth. Remove ads $3.99 or get a monthly subscription for 99¢ which will remove ads and give you access to other features. 99¢ a month isnt a bad deal but Im sick of all these apps wanting monthly payments. App makers should get paid but enough with the monthly BS! We would be happy to do an app removal every year but we dont want anymore monthly payments as it is. Please rethink this option. We would very much like to use this app but we dont need another payment plan.

It seems like it is a constant struggle to try to find it ratings of new pokemon. Takes forever to update compared to their competition (poke genie). Only reason we were keeping the app was because of the keyboard functionality but apparently there is another app called poke keyboard. Also other glitches such as showing ratings that could not be possible with lucky pokemon such as less than a 12 iv are quite annoying. Developers get your s*$t together. Goodbye PokRater forever. You wont be missed.

We love this app. We are so glad that the team is so responsive to feedback and polite!

As far as Pokmon Go IV apps are concerned, we like this one the best. Very comprehensive, easy, convenient, and full of amazing features. Update: Working great since the CP rework. The community option is nice we suppose, but we dont think Ill ever use it. Accurate in their appraisal, but would like to see reworks for multiple Charged Moves.

For they Keyboard. We just wish instead of stopping at it went all the way to 99 so we could use it to note a Pokmons IV with only one character instead of 2 (I use instead of 100 as it is the Roman numeral for 100) we like that you can set your favorite keys, but am disappointed you cant re-arrange the order of the keys.

Update: In addition to the other problems still unsolved (I will update this review when they get fixed unless we get too fed up and give up), now every time we import a screen shot it creates three new records. So every time we add a Pokmon we have to delete two duplicates. Original review: This app has at least one really serious memory leak or other fatal bugs making it almost useless. Without fail, every day that we use this app, the more we use it, the more often it crashes. It only takes 15-20 minutes to start becoming problematic. It also frequently crashes the Pokmon Go app also. Before every crash, this app and PoGo start hanging/freezing for 30-90 seconds at a time. At that point, if we don’t shut them both down, it completely crashes our brand new iPhone 8 we just got a few weeks ago (entire iPhone powers down and restarts without warning). Additionally, when using this app, our battery drains more than ten times (1000%) faster, necessitating that it ONLY be used when the phone is charging. Every one of these problems ONLY occur when we are using this app and NO other apps are open (except Pokmon Go). These issues are never a problem if we just use PokeGenie instead of PokRater. Although PokeGenie is way better than PokeRater at detecting a Pokmon’s -exact & accurate- level, IVs, and battle simulation calculations, it doesn’t give us a way to set our Pokmon nicknames with unicode characters(to fit into the allotted nickname character string length), hence our need for this app. If they don’t fix these critical bugs, we will simply cancel our subscription and report every one of them along with our iPhone system data/diagnostics to Apple as soon as we are done renaming Pokmon, and use a different keyboard option altogether. We have a fair amount of formal education in UX, mobile interface design, web & mobile app testing, and OOP (BS Informatics from University of Washington – Seattle). If the devs want more details to make their app as accurate and useful as PokeGenie (so we can simply use a single app instead of two), we are willing to provide further details and a (very) small amount of unpaid testing assistance.

Keyboard is great. Scanning and stability has improved a lot in the last few versions. Clearly the dev cares about making this better.

Like the keyboard and the input method, and the cards are well laid out. However it cant import any nido* except for nidoking.

It’s an insane security issue to even request this amount of data from users.

Has everything you need to start your pokemon journey!

WARNING: enabling Full Access on the PokeRater keyboard will enable the developers to fully access everything you type, including credit card numbers, bank account information, and passwords. Direct from Apple: "Third Party Keyboards provide an alternative way to input keyboard data. These keyboards can access all of the data you type, including bank account and credit card numbers, street addresses, as well as other personal and sensitive information. These keyboards may also access nearby text or data, which is useful for improving autocorrect functionality." we really do love this app. It’s fantastic for showing you the quality and IVs of the Pokemon you catch in POGO. But, the Full Access option on the PokeRater keyboard is absolutely terrifying. There is NO reason for them to need that access, and the fact that they instruct users to enable that on purpose is highly suspicious.

We just downloaded this and its failing to recognize any screenshots. What a waste.

Scanning fails on stardust more than half the time, has almost never been a problem until now. Even worse, theres no way to enter stardust on iPad, and doing so effectively freezes the app, as theres no way to enter the screen. Its unusable on iPad. A pretty good app when it works, hope its fixed soon..

Not too shabby- its nice looking but when you are doing a lot- its pretty busy. We like everything is on one page. Nothing worse that a million clicks. Just squish some of the important stuff on one page.

Text recognition is definitely not as good as calcyiv on Android, or poke genie on either. Worth it for the auto scan, though. Its something that could be improved.

This app certainly has a visual appeal over Pokegenie as well as the automatic scanning feature which is wonderful but when trying to appraise, it often has issues with voiding out certain aspects of the appraisal so we cant get a proper IV. For instance, our bulbasuar got an appraisal of really strong, hp attack and really strong impressive but it would not allow us to select really strong or hp. We are guessing something still needs to be worked out here to get a good reading.

This app doesnt function very fluidly. The auto scan filled with pictures from our gallery that were not Pokmon related even though we had that feature turned off. Additionally, we dont see any way to view the IV in a list format instead of having to click on each screenshot. We would prefer a way to sort by highest IV and see those numbers right in the list.

App’s not perfect, but it works. Never did recognize our shiny raichu, but the other issues seem to be solved.

Love this app!! It’s super simple and easy to use and yet packed with a ton of useful information that’s organized really well. The interface is also very aesthetically pleasing making the experience of using this app much more pleasant compared to Poke Genie–which has much of the same useful info, but the interface is nowhere near as polished as it is within this app. The only suggestion we have would be the inclusion of buddy candy distances added to the pokedex so we know how many kilometers we have to walk in order to earn candy. Other than that the app is perfect you won’t be disappointed!

Have 2 PokmonGo accounts and have 2 different iv calculators and this one is by far the better one and is also accurate.

It takes forever to tell you the information youre looking for.

Too many times this app doesnt properly read the level, how it was caught, and moves, causing us to have to manually type them in, when a certain other similar app doesnt have those problems nearly as much. Plus when do you plan on adding blast burn to Cyndaquil from the last community day. We shouldnt have to wait this long. It isnt like you didnt know this was coming. Now its failing to ready a shiny swablu for no reason.

Every screenshot we scan says unable to recognize Pokmon. We have an iPhone X and we believe the screenshot is too long. Its a shame. Back to PokeGenie.

It was working great but after an update the appraisal don’t match what’s in the app. Turns out we didn’t have the right team selected (red, blue or yellow)

Unable to use this app due to an unknown error. The app times out when trying to load up. We uninstalled and reinstalled which led to it working for a couple of hours before timing out once again.

We gave it a one star form a 5 star cause now that we scanned giratina the app keeps closing when we try to open it. We even reinstalled and lost all our choose keyboard choices cause there is no back up for the favorite keys.

We would like to be able to sort by Pokmon name. Maybe even by favorites. Also, it would be nice to search for shinys, legendaries, alalons, mythical, etc. Thank you.

We’ve owned the app for approximately 10 minutes. In that time we’ve been asked to rate the app 6 times.

Soooo useful! The automatic scanner is very nice.
