Most poker odds/equity calc apps are nowhere as powerful as PokerCruncher. Some don’t even support random hands (let alone hand ranges), some don’t let you enter hands for multiple players, some make an incomplete attempt at hand ranges, …

PokerCruncher is the full real deal, and has a clean and easy-to-use interface.

Start using PokerCruncher today to improve your game and your results!

— Redesigned and Improved for iPad —
A one big "mission control screen" UI design. Portrait and landscape modes. Stat histogram bars. And more.

iPhone, iPad, and Mac(Expert) versions available

— Completely General —
Up to 10 players, with specific cards, random/unknown cards, or hand ranges for each player. Dead cards, %age’s or n:1 odds, …

— Fully General Hand Ranges —
Poker is a game of incomplete information; we need to think in terms of ranges of hands. PokerCruncher surpasses the standard features, e.g. range equity breakdown heat maps and hand combo stats. Full grid of all 169 starting hands, top x% of hands slider, select hand combos (suits and weights) in hand ranges, extensive built-in hand ranges, save/load and export/import hand ranges, …

— Deal-To-Flop and Flop Texture Analysis —
— Many Stats —
Hand type stats (OnePair, TwoPair, etc.), flop hit stats, odds for flopping draws and combination draws, OnePair breakdown stats, …

Recent Updates & Development

Latest Update: 4th October 2024

Recent improvements include:
Some small UI improvements:

1) Show a one-time informational alert when you use the “Set Deck Card Dead/Live” button for the first time, to better explain how to set dead cards. Thanks to customer Heather K. for writing in about this.

2) Set the text size of the toolbar’s buttons in a cleaner way, so that the toolbar doesn’t overflow if you set the iPadOS system text size setting to a very large text size.

3) Change the app’s display name on the home screen to “PokerCruncher”, from the abbreviated name “PkrCruncher”.

Player Experience Highlights

Community Insight:

Not only is it better and more flexible that poker stove but actually has support. We sent a (dumb) question and received a response within hours. On a Saturday. You won't be disappointed.

Must have for any poker player who wants to study poker to improve their game.

Huge fan of this app: works perfectly (no bugs), easy to use and understand, great export options. And very addictive! Must have for any poker player.

This is a GREAT app! Well worth $5! More people should buy it and review it! Unfortunately we don't use this nearly as often as we should but we do believe that a lot of time spent playing with this app would certainly be beneficial to improving your poker game! We kind of wish there was also a version of this for Omaha that we could buy.

The app seems very well-crafted. It has all the options any poker player requires. We wish it were a little more intuitive and didn't require resets of particular sets.

Certainly disabuses you of preconceived notions about generic hand situations. Sophisticated scenarios are made possible by %age ranges, etc. A great tool for transitioning from recreational player to beginning pro level thinker.

And unlike well known politicians this is no lie. This app does it all combos, hand ranges, deal to flop only, turn only, or all the way to river. Compare hand vs range vs board and see a heat map and % for each hit hand. Load and save multiple hand ranges for comparison and detailed analysis. Last but not least the developer has an online forum thread where he takes his customers suggestions to any improvement they think may be helpful. One of the truly 5 star apps on iTunes.

So you can't calculate unless you know everyone's cards. What's the point.

A must-have for serious Hold 'em players.

No complaints at all. We would like to see it act a little more like flopzilla.

We love this app as its basically poker stove but with a intuitive interface… The developers have worked hard to improve the app with fewer glitches and bugs as well as enhanced functionality. We hope they can implement a bit of the web app Flopzilla into the next release. A must have for a serious poker player.

Overall good app for analysis. Would like more detail on made hands e.g. Not just "one pair" but top pair or better, middle pair to top pair,.

This is a powerful tool to calculate odds for Holden. It can be set up with one or many players and you can give them a range of hands they would play based on how conservative a player they are. Great if you take notes of live game situations and come back later and use this app to see where you really stood in terms of probability you would win.

Would like to see Omaha, omaha 8 and stud variants.

This in fact is our favorite iPad App. The designer/programmer gets all kinds of credit. (we'll explain below.) This odds cruncher does everything you would want and then some. We have two degrees in mathematics, am a lawyer and investor, and occasionally play poker recreational. We have the view that detail matters, and we can learn or get a feel for odds in all kinds of situations: Hand vs. Distribution Distribution vs. Hand Distribution vs. Hand Hand vs. Distributions of multiple players. Distribution vs. Distributions of multiple players. Hand vs. Random Hand Hand v. Distribution Distribution vs. Distribution of multiple players. It's great! It has handy short cuts for creating distributions (including Sklansky rankings). You can save created distributions. You can see a heat map showing the relative ad/disad graphically of a monte carlo simulation. Frankly, if you want an odds calculator, just buy it. We have had two others. One was ok, until we just happened across this one. As we said, it is so good that we think it is the best app we have on our iPad. A few have better graphics but none has better functionality for what it was intended to do. (You know, Mail on iPad doesn't use Groups itself…this isn't missing anything.) Wonderful! Cheap for what you get! We gotta think anyone at a tournament would want this every time they leave the table to mull over a difficult hand.

This app is great. The only thing we'd like to see is draw percentages along with made hand percentages. Adding flush, opsd, gunshot percentages would be really helpful.

This is a must-have application for anyone interested in offline poker analysis. We would have one feature request for the author — please create a button or menu item to "invert" a range. There are times when we know a "bottom 85% hand" (say) was folded, and that affects the remaining cards. This generally doesn't have a huge influence, but it would seem to be a trivial addition in terms of function and GUI space. Love the application as it currently stands, however. Love all the PokerCruncher apps, actually.

The best poker app for iPad, period.

We agree. The best iPad pocket app hands down a mobile flopzilla. All hands listed by equity is a great feature. We really wish, however, that these were broken down by individual suit. We hope this can be added eventually.

PokerCruncher is a big winner! We started to play Texas Hold'em in the early 1990s. After moving away from Las Vegas in 2002, we didn't play very much at all. Everything new that evolved in the game; hand range analysis, equities, etc., passed us by. So now, having returned to Las Vegas, we needed to learn how to play the game all over again. After we purchased PokerCruncher, everything about it was a blur to us. But after R.J. (developer of PokerCruncher), was kind enough to graciously spend time putting together a list of videos and other materials for us to review in order to help us. He even recommended a world class player to help coach us. NOW we USE PokerCruncher RELIGIOUSLY EVERY SINGLE DAY. PokerCruncher is one of the best all time software programs (regardless of application) we have ever seen or used. We're qualified to make this statement given our tenure with IBM, and in our own company which relied on developing and implementing new techniques in database analysis.

You have to learn to use it (read the instructions). It is not meant to be used real time. If you do your a fish. This really brings home that KK, KA, AA, QQ, QA, JJ, JA are only monster hands before the flop and the turn!!! This is the greatest poker contraption that we have ever seen and fun too.

Love this app, just learning it. Please add PLO.
