Dive into Questkeep

Embark on a journey with Hope (yes, that’s the character’s name!) through QUESTKEEP, in this strategic tile-based dungeon crawler!

Hello everyone! I’m a Dad and this is my first game project with my 10 year old. School was abruptly cut early this year because of the pandemic so she had a lot of time and she keeps telling me she wants to be a game developer/designer someday so I figured why not start our own passion project and take it from there. The game is "kind of" finished but we will be adding more content (levels, bosses, etc.) as we move along.

HAPPY PLAYING! :)

Great game and easy to jump into! Well worth it and no ads!

Fun, addicting, gets super challenging the further you get. Great pixel artwork. Purchase this game asap! Support a dad & daughter development team.

Saw the developer made this with his daughter so we had to try it, absolutely worth the 1$ and this game has serious potential to only get better.

We didnt intend to buy this game at all, but after reading the description, we just had to support a wonderful father/daughter project like this. We hope the positive responses keep coming so that she stays encouraged and passionate about this as a hobby, or even career. Good luck to you both!

We had to buy this game after seeing you developed it with your 10 year old daughter. That is so cool and to get a game up and running in and of itself is an accomplishment. The game is good and we could see some of the ideas implemented in future games and expansion of this game into something really special. We would recommend eliminating the turn adjacent enemy into a rock. We bought the artifact and it makes it so you dont have to face enemies anymore and therefore you increase your HP throughout the run. Please continue inspiring your daughter to create, not near enough girls and women get into the video game industry and we need more equal representation. Theres some real promise behind this game. Girls play games too!!! Wish you all the success moving forward. :)

Its amazing you and you daughter made this!! We wish yall both a bright future in game making. Great job and great price. We hope yall make a part 2 we will buy it. We hope yalls fan base will grow to help support the game making journey. God bless yall and the wonderful United States! We all need some hope and light right now. Thank yall both!!! Good luck!!! You have a amazing child.

Awesome job! Really fun game, surprised it was your first, way to go! The graphics and descriptions are beyond cute! Dungeon crawlers are some of our fav genres! We love that this was developed by a Dad and his 10 year old daughter! Females game developers are very much needed!

We love the jokes because they actually made us laugh.

Everything about this is so good. Its super accessible, you can just jump right in. Its fun figuring out how the dynamics change as you encounter different things (like one thing you land on reverses your swipe direction). Its super engaging. Great art, great concept, great play and user interface. Cut art and humor. Also a very fair price, with no ads or ISP. Its also good on battery and storage. And buying this to support a dad and daughter for making a quality game is a no-brainer. We applaud you guys. The only reason we docked one star is it could use a mid-run save if you have to quit. Still, the sessions arent overly long, because yes you will die, but no saving mid-run is literally the only downside we have found. This is maybe the most enjoyable dungeon crawler we’ve played. Its not overly punishing, and the aesthetic isnt dark and gloomy like some others. Thank you for such a good game! We just hope that if/when we beat it we can start fresh and keep playing over and over.

We have this 4/5 stars because it plays a lot like other Roguelite games. You have a character that slowly progresses. After only 3 games and 3 deaths we have yet to get to the end. We have 1 major issue with the game though. Occasionally the there will be an insane enemy that has like 189 Damage/HP. Instant kills us every single run thus far. Could you please make the numbers flash or bigger or different color so that we dont just swipe in the direction thinking Im going to kill yet another 5-12 damage enemy and then find our game has ended? We would also like to be able to change our amulets and stuff when getting a new one during the run.

We had to buy this after reading your story. We havent played the game yet, but we still want to support you and your daughter on this because we think thats and awesome story.

Overall quite a fun game, but its hard to ignore forced insta-kills. More than once now we’ve been force to pass through one block passages guarded by the insta-kill enemy (machaheads) we understand the random nature of roguelites, but this certainly seems like a bug, not a feature.

The game looks fine and was fun for a while until the game starts killing you on purpose just so you have to start over. Its not because of any natural difficulty or strategy, youre just blocked into a section of the level with minions much stronger than you with no way to proceed, its cheap and ruins the fun. Im a big fan of roguelike/lite games but not if theyre blatantly unfair instead of challenging.
