Sit on the throne as a benevolent (or malevolent) medieval monarch of the modern age and swipe your royal fingers either left or right to impose your will upon the kingdom. Survive the seemingly never-ending gauntlet of requests from your advisors, peasants, allies, and enemies while maintaining balance between the influential factions of your kingdom. But beware; each decision you make might have implications and unfortunate consequences down the road that could put your reign and family’s dynasty at risk!
Each year of your reign brings another important – seemingly random – request from your unpredictable kingdom as you strive for balance between the church, the people, the army, and the treasury. This game is great and one of our favorites but it gets a lot of bad reviews from red-green colorblind people not liking how the ball indicators for your decisions are colored allegedly red/green but the color is SUPPOSED TO BE THE SAME, even for non colorblind people. Otherwise it would be too easy (or we think thats what they thought). We love this game and am sad it gets bad reviews from colorblind people.
It was a pretty fun game, got very interesting but can be quite tedious at times. It gets compelling and got our boyfriend and we hooked. We love the surprise things and figuring out little hidden ways to hack the game lol. Super cool, everyone should try it, also cool outro screen!

We are seeing alot of poor reviews for not having red green colorblindode. This game is not designed with colors and all the cires are the SAME color. If the circles were colored you wouldn’t need to follow the story. The circles are different sizes big circle equals big decision positive or negatively little circle small decision positive or negatively. Colorblind mode not required BTW we really enjoy this game and will continue to play.
So far we have enjoyed the game but for whatever reason even when we had almost every bar near the top we died as the last victim of the dungeon murderer even though 2 rounds before we had reinforced the guard when a body was found in the dungeon this was pretty annoying considering we were on our best run yet and we feel like random events shouldnt play so big of part in failure other then that the game is really fun.
Title says it all. Knowing the stradegy of the game can surely help you live a long time, but beating it requires luck. Unfortunate and frustrating. The plot itself is rich and deep, and the game is creative and charming. If the devs made a couple essential events inevitable (i.e. Late game needed to win), this would be an easy 5/5. Playing for 4 hours only to lose because the game didnt provide you with the option to say yes to a certain card (no spoilers, iykyk) is frustrating.
Its a really cool concept and the gameplay is cool, but we wish there was a way to restart and play again bc the first go, we didnt totally understand how to play and we wish we could go back.
Why does the text keep messing up? You start the game and now every time we play the text messes up so you cant even read it. If we can ever play again Ill change the rating.
Annoying that its game over if you have too much money.
Its a decent game all things considered – a good story with a plot even in its simple form. But mostly we keep running into a problem due to the fact we don’t have a Home button on our phone. When we swipe up, sometimes this causes a card to be drawing instead of the app to be closed – we wish the swiping was a little more concentrated towards the center of the card – or less sensitive around the bottom of the screen / when swiping up.
Im usually able to make out the two fairly well actually, but Im on the cusp of actually saying Im RG colorblind. This game is almost fun only knowing which factions are involved, but not being able to tell if its a positive or a negative leaves you going in blind. Either needs a colorblind mode/setting or expanded narrative in the way of advisors etc.
Feels like swiping through the same dialogue over and over, sometimes get trapped in loops where it feels like no way to make something happen. Interesting when that doesnt happen in early games, frustrating and stale pretty quick after that.
Seems like you might as well play a sort machine. Your ability to survive or progress is completely random, even if you memorize which responses have which effects, which is definitely possible because youll start to see the same events over and over again.
Unplayable do to red green circles looking the same.
We hadnt played this game in a long time, perhaps a year, and there isnt a way to reset our save data that SOMEHOW is still there and begin anew.
Please add a color-blind option. We do not know the difference w/ red-green color-blindness. Please make this game be accessible!
Needs a colorblind mode for the little dots above the symbols at the top.
Your fortress is too weak. We should build a new tower, has replaced all of our cards. Im sure our kingdom is populated mostly by towers at this point. UPDATE: The update fixed it but we still flinch whenever we see this card. Otherwise a delightful indie style game thats well suited for mobile play. :)
This is exactly like the original reigns, which we love. We have all of the reigns games, reigns, reigns: her majesty, reigns:GoT, reigns: beyond, and now reigns+. All great games, but if you have the original reigns you dont need this one if you dont, welcome to reigns, we hope you enjoy!
This game is perfect don’t get us wrong. But every time we get "Your fortress is to weak…" card no matter what we pick it freezes the game and won’t show any more cards. Other than that this game is perfect!
His game is so much fun however there is a lot of choices that lead to death and we feel like there should be an option to escape or less death options.
This game is fun to play and the story is cool. We think there is a bug with the identify the terrorist cell achievement. We have not seen the prompt card for this after playing through 50 kings.
The gameplay is great. The mechanics are great. The characters are fun. Its a good a game. However, having red-green colorblindness (the most common), we cannot tell the difference between the differently colored circles indicating the effects of our actions before we choose them. We know whom/what it will affect, but we do not know if it will be positive or negative… Which is really, really important in this game. Not knowing what Im doing is really debilitating to gameplay. If a colorblind mode or an option to customize the colors of the positive/negative indicators were implemented, this would absolutely be a 5-star game for us. This game is great, but we cant quite play it.
This is an extremely fun game. However we’ve been playing for days and still cant trick the devil. We’ve lived to 100 once in 4 replays. And still havent met all the characters. Help!
This game is amazing and we are looking forward to updates, one idea is adding more opportunities for jousting, like when youre overrun by a different kingdom or Popes people.
Truly immaculate. Our only gripe is its SO good we want to keep playing, but the cards are getting repetitive. Im on king 60, and would love to get all achievements, but the first cards are nearly always the same as every other king! Lets get some new stuff plz :3.
It was fun for a few minutes but then it just got repetitive and boring.
There needs to be a way to see what would have happened if you made the other choice.
This game was fun for the first 2 weeks or so, but got boring very fast. It repeats its self over and over, and now its just old. Also, what if we want ro be a queen, or princess? Or custom more things? We dont know, but we are deleting this game. Its just taking up space now.
We really like this game but we have one problem which is that we’ve gotten a central bank and if we say no to it when we run out of money it just keeps asking us to do it and another problem is that our general keeps asking us if we want a tower even though we already have one and if we say yes hell just keep asking if we want a new tower, it does the same thing as the bank and doesnt let us say no. Edit: the devs have now fixed the problem!
The fortress prompt bug has been fixed! Now go play this game, its a joy to experience with its simple concept but outstanding writing and gameplay loop. Played the original and the expansion/sequel, cant recommend it enough!
- update April 6, 2021: Thank you for fixing this bug fast! * from April 4, 2021: we cannot continue in the game because of this repeating card from the general. We were really enjoying the game, but its literally unplayable for us until this is fixed.
The game is very fun but we cant really play it when the guard keeps saying that he needs to build a tower, but this time it freezes and we cant do anything we try to open and close the app and the same thing happens. Please fix this we really love the game, but with this bug, we just hope it gets patched in a update.
How many towers do you want us to build?? Hopefully this glitch is resolved soon, we just said yes 500 times in a row…. Can never have enough towers, we suppose, lol. That aside, this is a great game! Fun to play on the go, quick decision making, lots of endings to unlock… This is a unique style of deck building!
The general keeps saying your tower is too weak build a tower, and it lasts 200 years.
Its an amazing game but it keeps giving us the same card over and over. We cant advance in years even.
As other users have stated, Im getting the repetitive fortress bug. Game unplayable. Fun while it lasted though.
We were unpleasantly surprised that the re-release of original Reigns is such a buggy game. First few rounds seem fine, but obviously no one tested it further. Some cards just repeat and repeat, and some get you stuck, with no other means to end the cycle except to uninstall. Yes, we mean run madly in the dark mini game that doesnt progress when you already completed it before. Also a cherry on the pie: Settings icon seem to toggle landscape mode, instead of, well, showing settings.
We love the game but after playing it for a long time we were continuously asked to build more towers… We cant do anything except run out of money or run out of soldiers…
Quick and fun game about choices and balance.
This game is super good! We love all the options you can do and the interactivity is super fun. However, there are two glitches we’ve encountered. One, we keep getting a tower card over and over. With this at least we can still play. The other glitch we cannot. This man asks us about donating blood to a womans party but no matter what we say, there is no other cards after that and the game basically freezes. We’ve tried closing it out, deleting it and everything but it gives us the same card and then stops. Please help! Otherwise good game though.

We just downloaded the game and so far so good.
We keep getting this same message over and over again and we dont know how to start a new game? So our king is over 600 years old and we cant get a game over… Otherwise, the game is fun??? But help???
We love this game, and we were playing today when we encountered a glitch thats stuck and we cant get it away. We think we reach 950 years or so, and every single card was General guy saying Your fortress is too weak. We should build a new tower until we died from either saying yes or no. But one time we didnt die even if our money or sword thingy went down or up, and ended up living to 133 years old before the game finally gave us a card saying we died. Its been stuck ever since, idk what to do but delete and reset the game.
This game just came out and its great!!! Fun choices and good characters. Not too hard, but you still have to think about what youre doing. However after two days of playing we’ve found that sometimes the knight dude will come up and ask you to build a tower over and over, and by the time he stops asking you are forced to die because one of your stats is too low from the forced repetition.
We have been playing this for a few hours, and we love it! But we encountered a glitch. It made it so when we flipped the cards there were no more cards left! As you could guess we wasnt able to play. We deleted the game and reinstalled it and it still wouldnt work! So we can really play the game anymore… But it was fun while it lasted! ( :
We really enjoy this game and we have played it all the way through. Only issues is, the general is ALWAYS asking you to build a new tower – we built a new tower for 300+ years; no other questions would be in the deck, besides the general wanting us to upgrading the tower. We recommend downloading, great time killer!
