Community Insight:
Wonderful storyline, graphics, music & great mini games to play. Long playing game with a Bonus game. A game you need to play.
If you have not played this game, we highly recommend you try it! Creative, challenging, great graphics, a really good storyline! Id like to stay and tell you more about it, but we stopped playing the game to write this review. We have to get back to defeating the seven deadly sins, and saving the town! Im bouncing out.
Very creative! Love the characters, and the seven deadly sins theme. This is an older game, from back when Elephant was really good. Newer games from them are just repeatedly finding an amulet, inserting the amulet to..guess what?.. Find another amulet. We believe the new ones were rushed by big fish, but we digress. Even though the graphics are 5 years old, they are still good. Only 24 scenes in the main game, but it was still a good length. The mini games were great! We especially love the embroidery one, which is a pic-a-pix (also called, griddler , logic art, nonogram, etc.) The bonus game is 13 scenes long, and you prevent 6 sins from causing the havoc in Riddleton, (why not 7? Idk). We did have to sometimes tap on an item a few times in the hos to get it to register, and when trying to pick up the first item in inventory you often got the task button instead, which is annoying. The hos are all list/interactive. But it is 5 years old, and that just didnt bother us because the game is more about the story, creativity, and mini games. Real rating of 4.5 bumped up to 5 because it is just a delight to play.
Great story line! There need be a few tweaks to fix hidden object problems when selecting items – on each screen there were items that you had to back out of the hop altogether, then try the hop again to retrieve. But overall really good story line.
Great scenes and graphics, thoroughly enjoyed it. Well worth it.
Pretty solid game, very enjoyable. No glitches at all.
This game kept us busy and the hint button was easy to use with this game and helped us get through the game. The strategy Guide was also very helpful, plus when you hit the Back to the game button, it took you right back to where you were at in the game. Some games make you go back tot the mauling screen and start over. Thanks, Julie.
We like elephant games and usually buy them at once…so our expectations are always very high to this brand, and we would say, that this game is nice, but not "Wow!", as some of their previous ones…still we gave the game 5 stars, because it is the best among those, that Big Fish has offered us recently. And yes, it is kind of glitchy, which spoils otherwise beautiful game.
Kept our interest. Very good job.
Enjoyed it! No issues, about to play the bonus.
Blue Sky!!!!! Excellent, fascinating and colorful game. SunshineSusie your full review was ACCURATE. Liked the large, colorful mouse we give a wedge of cheese. Graphics were great, story interesting and gameplay smooth. Elephant Games, your game was fun to play with a teleporting hint button.
Even has some Challenging puzzles.
Enjoyed this game. Look forward to the sequel. Thanks.
After playing Cadenza and Silent Nights, both BORING, we love Oblivion. Great story line, graphics and puzzles.
We enjoy playing this and all of them.
We too had the problem of "loading". We did not re-download the game, just restarted it, and game worked fine after doing this.
Like the extra find its and the story is decent.
Truly a great game, with a important lesson learned. Th music was beautiful and the graphics Spot on. This game we could play again and again. Always a Lady.
FINALLY a story where GOOD is GOOD and EVIL is EVIL ( not just "misunderstood" or excusable or bad but really good inside garbage)!!! For that alone we would give it the five stars!!! It was a bit on the touchy side not allowing us to select (touch) the items we wanted right away, sometimes having to press many times to get it. The ending line was a little lame…"For Goodness"?! But we guess it would be far too politically incorrect to say something like for "God" or for Righteousness, etc. But whatever…still it was an interesting story… A little on the easy side defeating the villain sins, but we won't complain! No terribly bloody or graphic gore, no non-sense satanic rituals or cultish garbage to drive out the sins or whatever…overall we loved it and can't wait for the next one! We hope it's just as clean. And even better! Thank you.
A truly wonderful, fun game to play. The graphics are gorgeous, as they always are in Elephant Games, but these especially so. We loved playing the many different puzzles, there was a really nice variety. We bought this game right away and was not disappointed. All we can say is, Give Us More Like This.
A once beautiful and rich town has been taken over by a manipulator of the seven deadly sins. The Royal Family is the main take overs. The Queen summons you to save her family. You are collecting morphing crowns and the remain of the above they are just a shadow of themselves. Has map, voice overs and strategy guide. Just a couple of stray mice so farL/M but if it takes as long as our last review to go up you have probably already been there done that. A big shout out and love and prayers to all. Sorry about your poodle Nambr. We know how much it hurts to lose a pet. Thank you BF and Elephant Games for a good one. Snooper-158.
Great game….the trial was very long…and now we are ready to buy the full version…great job well done BF.
This game is a fantastic surprise. Beautiful graphics seven deadly sins should be played by everyone . So we don't forget. Excellent game No problems with back and fort. Everything is very clear in using buttons . The story is clever the characters grab you And it's SPELLBINDING. Recommend this game highly. It's worth your money FANTASTIC GAME SEVEN STARS.
Riddles of Fate:Into Oblivion is another winner for Elephant Games! The premise is simple. You have been thrust into a town, once beautiful, that is now in the grip of the Seven Deadly Sins. You are attempting to free the original citizens and banish the Deadly Sins. As usual with Elephant, the Hint and Skip buttons are excellent. Requesting a Hint shows you the next scene for an action and asks if you wish to teleport. Nice! There is also a Map and a good Strategy Guide. The Hidden Object scenes are well lit, colorful, and logical. Items in Inventory are labeled, and have a Plus Sign if another piece is required to make them functional. Puzzles are varied and interesting, such as painting a picture with colors, or matching sets of eyes to colorful masks. In fact, we were having so much fun that we did not want to stop to write our glowing review! Hidden extras include several objects to find and collect. You are able to view these collectibles, as well as your achievements, separately. This is one of the most captivating games we have seen lately, and we highly recommend that you purchase this Riddle.
This was a game we couldn't put down til we finished it, it really held our interest. Great game. We liked how it easily moved along, and the storyline was great.
Loving it so far. We're only in the free trial bit, but it is great.
We have enjoyed this immensely. Everything we want in a game. Great graphics and puzzles. Story was good. Congrats BF.
Can not believe no one has not review this. All you have to do is look up the Seven Deadly Sins in the BIBLE! Makes this game one if not the best! Thanks Big Fish. A Job Well Done.
Another great game by Elephant Games. No problems whatsoever, with a teleporting map, beautiful graphics and some cute animals. We are a pushover for dogs.
We enjoyed this game but it was difficult to select things most times. We would tap on it and it wouldnt select. We would tap multiple times and it would still not select then it would all of a sudden. Frustrating, but overall a fun game.
If some of the gamesmovements hadnt been so wonky, this would have been a 5 star game.
This game can keep you busy. Great graphics and plot.
We had the same issue as Blueflier! (Btw, Blueflier, we hope u r feeling better!) we were about to go up against envy, and got a black screen that says loading and won't do anything. Of course we already bought the game at full price. We are playing on an IPad Air with the most updated IOS. We were really enjoying this game, and now this! BigFish, give us an update! We are sick of glitchy Elephant games. This game was gorgeous and fun and now we can't continue, and others have also had the same issue! We are also full of WRATH because we can't be a SLOTH (or at least a lazy Lynx) and lay around and play this game. We ENVY those of you who were able to finish! How, we don't know! And you are GREEDY for collecting our money and giving us a game that cannot be played! Take some PRIDE in your offerings to us and fix it! Dream Team, for those of you who haven't played, don't! When we finally was able to play we liked it. Beautiful graphics, fabulous cut-scenes, instant loading between locations. Labeled inventory. The hint system was a non-spoiler one. It was lengthy with bonus adventure. And thank you, no RATS except in the HO scenes! We cannot give it 5 stars. It was glitchy. It had a teleport map but you had to run around because it marks objectives on the map and you still have to find the inventory item. We would prefer to only go to a location when there is not just an objective but an actual task! Yes we're lazy! (Sloth, lol!) The HO scenes were nice and bright, but only word lists. That gets old after a while. There was a nice mix of puzzles though. We also would have liked a journal in addition to the updated objectives. Not a bad game overall, but not our favorite series! We prefer EIPIX to Elephant Games! Much more interesting! From Lynxie.
We have this on our PC and just tried the iPad version. Not to different and the graphics are nice and clear.
Update: The glitches are fixed! We didn't have to pay twice (already purchased button restored the game). And we were able to play, leave and do things, then come back to fight yet more of the 7 deadly sins. We finished the game; we really did enjoy it very much, so we've gone ahead and given it 4 stars. A couple of small things, but it is now definitely worth a buy. Very happy that we replayed, and no longer am we wrathful. :) The game trial was delightful, so we purchased. We've beaten gluttony and greed and now am working on taking care of envy. As this kind of work can be tiring, we had to replenish our strength and closed the game as we had other things to do. Open it up to continue to whoop the rest of the deadly sins, and it looks like someone in Quality Control at Elephant Games has been sleeping on the job, or the place may have been taken over by Sloth. Because all we get when we start the game is a black screen that says LOADING… Grrrrrr. We've turned on/off the iPad, restarted the game, checked to make sure we're on the latest OS, made sure we had enough storage. And still…a little black screen that says LOADING… (another update): if you unload the game and reload it back on your iPad, it also loses the fact that you've PAID for the game and asks you to unlock the game all over again. So, now — not only do we have a game that doesn't work, they want us to REPLAY it and PAY for it again. We're getting a bit over the junk that BF thinks is ready for the real world. Guess we'll be trying G5 games for a while until these guys get their act together. Not a happy camper. You might even say that we're full of wrath.
We really enjoyed the story, excellent voice acting, great music. Very standard HOS (which we like). Only negatives to us were some puzzles that we just didn't understand, a few items that were difficult to click on, and the map was not nearly as helpful as it could have been.
We enjoyed the game and will give it 4 stars. The HOS were relatively easy and one could actually see the items. Scenes and sounds were nice. Game was a good length. The map was okay but could be better by showing all areas at once instead of just two at a time. Since the map was like it is we had to use the hint often to know where to go, thus the 4 instead of 5 stars. Some of the games were not explained well and either it wasn't working or we couldn't figure out how to do it. For the most part Elephant did a good job.
Only 4 stars because there was too much running around. No logical progression. Should be able to perform more than one action. Thank goodness for the teleporting Hint button. Also, some objects were difficult to select. Many puzzles and HOGs. Beautiful graphics, interesting plot. Will purchase the sequel.
We were enjoying game but we closed game and back it won't loading we restart 4 time. We're still unable to play and we're already pay for it please fix or refund.
We purchased this and it froze and wasnt unable to load it again. Kept freezing. We deleted it and re-downloaded it, raced thru story to the point of purchase and we were prompted to pay again.
Elephant games: we really enjoy your games. You guys are talented. But a few things need we've noticed in your games that need to be addressed. 1) items on screen are often impossible to "touch" and thus difficult to pick up. 2) we like more scenes to navigate through. This game only had 22. Looks like you guys got lazy 3) the few scenes you do have, didnt flow from the prior…makes no sense to go through a restaurant and end up in a castle. Lol. Yet almost all the scenes transferred to another scene (or room) that made no sense…Making it difficult to remember where you are. Having a realistic environment is critical for these types of creative adventure games. Most people want to escape into a fantasy world…not just go back and forth and find hidden objects. 4) teleport map didn't work. Perhaps another "touch" issue? 4.
We were really enjoying playing and stopped to sleep. Now it won't load. We now others have reported this and we don't know why elephant games won't fix it. It leaves a bad taste for the developer.
We agree, there is too much running around and the story line is neither intuitive, nor compelling. It's not evident what to do next with out the hint button, which, than goodness, teleports you. We are now at Colin's room at the puzzle of the picture of the 2 brothers. We dislike these types of puzzles, so selected "Skip" instead of "Hint". It completed the puzzle, but now we're frozen! Very frustrating. We used the hint button on the other games we chose to skip with no freezing. We wouldn't recommend this game.
This is one of the better games coming out of Big Fish, although it still has spelling errors. It amazes us that there is such poor quality control on these games! Anyway, the free section was nice and long giving the player a chance to really judge the game. The problem is that there is little logic to the moves and without the hint button the player would have to wander back and forth endlessly looking for things to do. The map is pretty useless, only going between two places. The hint button is very good, though, and teleports you to the next move. The puzzles range from very simple to okay, from confusing, to boring. Something for everyone, we guess. So, when the price comes down, we'll probably buy it, but not the full or Intro price. These games are all over priced in our opinion.
The plot seemed intriguing, but the design was poorly executed. Clues and puzzle pieces didnt seem logically planned (who locks up a broken saw as if it were valuable?) and you were often left wandering around the map at random, trying to figure out where to go and what you were looking for. The most frustrating part was trying to pick things up! Even when we knew an item was selectable, we usually had to mash our finger on or around it until we managed to select it. Too frustrating to be enjoyable for long and we gave up in disgust.
Fortunately we have not had the reloading problem that others have encountered. Our problem is that the Snake of Envy will not attach itself to Colin's medallion so that we may proceed. We checked the strategy guide, and we are making the correct move, but nothing happens. It is so frustrating to get this far in a game only to have something not work. We have paid for this game but cannot finish it. This is the second one in a week that we cannot finish, and we are very annoyed.
The only reason we're giving this game 2 stars is because it was very good until we hit the same loading problem others have had. Of course it didn't start doing this until after we bought the full version. Don't buy this game until there's an updated version.
Like many others, we were enjoying the game until we stopped playing for a bit and could not get back in because the game will not reload! Either fix the game or give us our money back, BF. It's offensive that there are so many reviews showing this problem and you haven't resolved the issue.
We are half way through the game and we are loving it. We have quit and come back several times, but now when we go back in it won't start, just keeps saying "loading". Are you kidding us? This is ridiculous.
Been playing game off and on since we loaded it Thursday, decided to purchase last night and then closed game, tonight is stuck on "loading", way to go after you got our money. Based on other comments, appears reloading won't change anything. This as one of your better games until this happened.
