We just wanted to say this is an amazing game! 5 stars easily. We havent bought any of the extra things yet but we want to. We’ve made so many characters (mainly based on things from games and shows.) we hope the developers keep making this and an inventory system and hp system would be great! Have a great day!
Really lets you get creative and just play some good ol TTRPG action.
We love this app, its perfect for people that dont want / cant use paper for dnd and dont want to use their phone browser for dnd beyond. The only things we wish for the app is it be available to Android and there be a way to connect a game with other players and GM. Dont get us wrong, we know developers have a hard time making an app and that doing it for multiple OSs is more time, and money that they have to do. We just have a lot of friends that use android and would love to play with them. They dont know how good this app is. We want them to experience it themselves.
Been using this app for years but we have to see the new design is amazing. We use it on our phone and iPad and our friends and we enjoy using it. The only issue we have currently is with the recent update our iPad cant load back all the characters we’ve saved and crashes, but Im sure thats just a new bug from where the update adjusted for crashes on newer phones and will be fixed with a future update. Other than that its been a fantastic app and cant wait to see what all is in store for future updates.
Was a fan of this app for a long time, but it went the past year or so without an update. Even though it was kinda slow, its great convenient easy rpg system. But this update is sleek and intuitive for newer devices. Cant wait for what the future holds!

You may think this game is a world of Warcraft type game, but this is what a classic rpg looks like, just like D&D. Great game!
We really like the idea of this to create whatever persona you want. But it should have an online feature. That is doesn’t have to only be in person interaction.
Role is an incredible game with great graphics and a really fun gameplay role with lots of characters. We cant wait to keep playing. Only problems is their should be a backpack for tools and Hp. Additionally, you should be able to role play online with people who arent in the same room as you!
This game is so awesome it’s like writing your own story and adventures.
Our kids still beg us to play this with them every chance they get. They love making up new characters with new abilities, then finding a good image to upload that represents them. And then they are literally jumping out of thier seats once the adventures start. The story elements provided give the perfect amount of detail and spark to get your imagination in gear, and from there the sky’s the limit! We love how as the gamemaster you can quickly dial in the difficulty level of each roll to match the circumstances. Players rolling for something simpe? Make it an "Easy" difficulty roll… Or are they trying to do something over the top crazy? Turn the difficulty up to "Heroic". Although, sometimes they will still roll critical success! Which makes for some of the best moments and storytelling. Everytime we go to the park now, we make sure our phone is charged for a game of Role. The last time we were there we played The Elderwood adventure. We pretended the play structure at the park was the town, and the trees lining the park were the Elderwood. At each turn in the storry the kids would run off and act out what they were gonna do, then come back and roll to see if they were successful. SO much fun!! And it never fails, every time before its over we have at least 3 or 4 other kids asking us what were playing and begging us to join. Well worth buying everything in this app they offer as we are more than glad to support the developers here for creating a platform that has been the foundation of so many great memories!
This is not for the player or DM who wants expansive content to pull from. Honestly we think its just a cool little rpg to play during those short periods of times when youre with your friends or anyone else who wants to play. Whether its a road trip or a lunch etc. The big thing we would like to see is use some sort of text feature where the DM could make a paragraph or two and then players could respond with their actions almost like a casual multiplayer that allows friends to play at their own convenience. Many people misunderstand this app. The + version is recommended for saves etc. But you dont truly need any of the other expansions if you dont wish.
This game has characters and stories and they are awesome.
Take our money Ps. To the people who say it’s bad because it doesn’t have multiplayer, GET FRIENDS.

If you’r looking for a robust rpg system with a vast library of reference material or a fully customizable system, then you’re in bad luck. This is not that. What it is, is a simple and fun little system. Is a (d6 pool) skill base system that automatically level each of your skill the more you use them. It will give you hours of fun whenever and wherever you fill the need for a casual and quirky role playing game. Nothing is actually define so you can make whatever you want of it. It’s free to try but it will lock your character’s progression at some point. Nothing unexpected since it looks like the developers /designers put though an effort on it. *** we don’t understand why people expect to get everything for free *** Things we will be thrill to see: 1. A "pay to unlock all" 2. Weird descriptions on all the random fun skills. And that they get added to the note section. 3. Random characters backstories. In general: an app that us and our friends had, and will continue having, fun with.
The game is great but you should make a mmorpg to bring in more people where the same idea for this game could be transferred to your massive multiplayer online role-playing game where you get to actually create your own character. With your own art design and if you join or make a clan, you should only be limited to creating 10 NPCs only in a clan. This is just our own thought to be honest but hey if nobody does it then Ill do it. Sweet game still 5 stars! :)
So how do you role play with other people?
This app is great for getting right into the action of a short pen and paper style role play. Our first request would be that a lobby could be created where Players would Join the game and the game master could see the player sheets and their rolls. A bigger request would be that the skill levels could be edited by the game master.
We believe this game has capability to be 100% mobile if wanted. If a link game feature was added so mobiles can play with other mobiles then that would be great. Also the characters and stories are awesome! Just adding an option to play with others nation wide would be cool too just so we don’t have to invite others just to play a phone game.
We like it so long as you do get role+ because otherwise it lacks room for imagination. We wish there was a way you could just temporarily publish a game so then people online could join or some other way of getting people able to play online. We also wish there was an easy way to be able to play so long as one of your friends bought it if you want to play with friends who just want to learn how to role play.
We just started playing this with our friends, and it’s pretty fun. Would be cool to have some kind of online server, but otherwise cool.
The app itself is pretty cool. We think its original and well executed. Pros: character creation is simple and awesome for beginners, the roll system and leveling of character skills is fun and creative, it has a decent amount of pre made stories and concepts that are good storyline prompts. Cons: the character skill leveling is a little too simple in that you can level your character up really high way too fast (the game becomes easy for characters after just an hour or two). The main thing that we feel like is missing is some way to keep track of HP or items. We get that the developers wanted to keep things simple, but making it an option for games would have been awesome. Our recommendation for developers would be to incorporate a simple HP tracker, maybe a backpack for a couple of supplies or weapons/armor, and slow down the leveling process so that its harder to level (or add other things that could be leveled, but that sounds complicated and the beauty of the app is its simplicity). Overall we say good job! We thought it was worth spending money on Role+, and our friends and we had fun playing it casually!
Great game, but for us, we don’t play, it would be better if you could play with random players, we used to play with our friend, she was the only one who liked that game, but sadly she killed her self, a week ago. We think it would be way WAY better if you could make a room and play with random people. Not everyone has a friend to play with.
This game has great ideas and boundless potential we would love to see more characters to create and adventures made, we do love how you can make your own but we think more can be added. Also like another reviewer mentioned there should be moments in the game where the game master can make a big paragraph or sentence and players can make their own responses and have rolls for success. Also there should be a skill guide for helping players new and old, as well as a stats menu, hit points counter, and an inventory menu.
We love it and all but the one thing we dont like is you cant load past games.
This app is amazing and we love the way it is built. Not only esthetically pleasing, but also fun to use. It is, however, in desperate need of some kind of multiplayer or chat feature. Being able to play this game online or over mobile network is a huge must for playing not only in person, but around the world.
So the app overall is pretty good, in app purchases arent needed, and hey, you.
We think this app is very creative! Its very cool about the character, design, and ways you can tell stories. But we have just one issue: us and our friend spent two hours trying to figure out how we could play together. And we mean go online and play as a character. Like say she was to make the game and we play her game online without physically being next to her. We think you can only play with other people ONLINE if you buy the full version with money. We have no idea if this is true though. But Im really sad because of it. We think you should be able to play with a certain amount of people on the app, but depending on the amount of people should cost money. Like more then 5 people should cost money. Thats just one thing you should change. If there is a way to play online with friends without money, please let us know! But if there is no way please make one. We think itll be better that way.
We downloaded this thinking that it was going to be a roleplay with others online or local but you have to pay for that.
Why is it that before we can even select a character the app just crashes, it does this every time and we dont know what to do.
Love the layout, love the idea, love the content. We dont mind spending money to support a good app either.. Id buy everything. But why in the world is there no way to link your games to other players? If we have time to round up a group of friends to play in person, we arent playing this simple game we are playing something like D&D. This app has the potential to be a total game changer for those not so flexible times with the addition of game links. GM inputs text/audio message, decides order of turns for the round, players all respond, being able to see the responses of the players that went before them, GM gets a notification letting them know its back on them. Many reviewers have been begging this and nothing has been done about it. Sad.
There should be a way to play online with others. A chat type of thing so that way you can play with people who are across the country or world or just across town. If it had that, no doubt would the following for this app majorly increase. We also wish there was an unlock all option.
The App is neatest app on our phone as a table top rper its great for the sudden one shot. Iove Everything about this app we just wish it was completely free but we digress for all the app offers for 4 bucks thats unlimited roleplaying for 4 bucks you cant best that. Also the app keeps crashing when we try to make a character.
We were looking for simple and easy to use rpg set-up/mechanics. We opted for the upgrade to store characters and added the fantasy story/characters unlocks. We were a little disappointed that there wasnt more to story content but the adventure hooks will get things going. We would like to have had a zoom function as we found the print a little small for our liking but we didnt have our glasses on so thats our fault. Over all a little pricey but it has a lot of potential if the developers can add more to the functions such as importing your own content etc.
Its a really fun game but everything revolves around role+ which means you have to pay four bucks to do somthing you could do with paper and 3 dice.
If you whant to take your time writing a story, you have to pay 4$. You have to pay money just to unlock a set of stories to start with. So, we cant really play the game until we buy stuff with REAL money. Other then that, we really like the idea of it. And even if Im only able to create suuuuuuuuper short stories, its still kind of fun. If you really like writing stories,then we would recommend you give this a try. ;)
Cons -pay to play if you wanna have the best experience -only local play no online mode – everything is preset -no custom characters, stories or background Suggestions -give us a trial or free way to unlock the premium stuff -add a online mode or join a server -let us create our own characters -have some people of the community and create something together or yourself.
We love this game and think that its a great time, but please consider updating it developers! Its been two years, and while we would love something like a HP tracker or Inventory tracker, even new characters and stories to buy would leave us happy at this point since then we would know that you havent abandoned the game! Also we would be eternally grateful if you made a version for Android, that alone would be enough for us to bump our review to a 5 as it stops us from playing with a lot of our friends by only being on the App Store.
We paid for role plus however nothing is coming up, we dont have anything. We’ve already tried to restore our purchase, is this a glitch?

Lags, freezes up when exiting. Tutorial does not work, kicks us out. Cant play YouTube over it. Other than that, it could be great.
We downloaded the game in hopes we would be able to play a storyline, but instead we cant even work out how to. Im stuck on just creating characters and thats it. We read some other storylines which seem so fun to play but it wont let us, please help us figure this out. Otherwise, this game is just a waist for our time.
It was a nice attempt at providing a game-organizing app, but it didn’t have many worthwhile aides. We can see what they were doing, but putting the better features behind a paywall was a mistake. We want to be able to customize our own stuff, but not at the expense of unlocking features that should be free.
Dont put a game under free if its going to charge you to actually play.

We cant understand a single thing in this app that should be paid! We like the aspect of the game, but making virtually everything you do paid is just overkill entirely.
