Description
Grandpa always was a little eccentric. A fantastic engineer, he was always buried in his work, always coming up with new ideas and inventions that as a child held you wide-eyed in awe.
Now, after many years, you return to the house that holds so many fond memories for you, with a promise from Grandpa to show you something truly amazing. You can’t even begin to imagine what it could be!
It’s a dark and stormy night as you arrive at Grisly Manor. The rain beats down hard, lightning flashes in the sky as the sound of thunder fills your ears. You already feel a little creeped out, but when you make your way inside, the house is curiously empty. Grandpa is nowhere to be found!
But his presence is everywhere.
Familiar objects have been re-engineered to create puzzles for you. Clues abound, and as each puzzle is solved, the solution to others present themselves. As well as new puzzles, of course.
Grandpa obviously spent a lot of time making sure that nobody could solve the myriad of puzzles strewn about the house. Nobody but you, his favorite grandchild…

Was a lot of fun, and we know it was only a buck, but hoped for a bit more than 15 minutes of play time.

We played this like a year ago and Im still going back to it. Its soooooooo fun.
We have played this when we were younger and we have played all of the others and loved them to! Cant wait for a new game ( hopefully Grizzly Manor 3!)
Played it as a kid and it has lot of memories we love it.
We are a fan of the Fire Maple games. Grisly Manor benefits from the forethought that went into making the puzzles fit in with the story and the environments (as opposed to the games which just make you bounce from one slider puzzle to another combination lock puzzle just to retrieve items that make no sense in the storyline). The puzzles are at a medium level of difficulty (just hard enough to make you think, but far from exasperating). This game, like all of Fire Maples games, is a welcome relief from the gloomy, creepy settings and atmosphere in most of the games in this genre. The music is pleasant, the visuals are colorful, and the sense of humor is quirky and amusing, which makes for a stress-free puzzle-solving experience. The journal and the map are useful features, as well. Overall, even though this game is probably the shortest of Fire Maples games (makes sense, considering this was their first game) its a nice, calm way to spend a few hours, and scratch that puzzling itch.
Played this game several years ago. We bought again for our iPhone and the hints dont work.
We enjoyed playing the game but it was much too short, especially after Lost City. It was also way too easy. For example, instead of finding a blunt instrument that you had to think for a moment what to do with, you found an ice pick. Hmm, wonder what you do with that?
Just when you find grandpa, and he tells you this thrilling stuff, it ends!! We thought it was just getting started! Good for the age of the game graphics-wise, puzzles are interesting. No hidden object scenes, thankfully. Cannot justify a higher rating when the game is this short.

Its good if you like searching for clues and solving puzzles. Story line was a little to simplistic and the game too short.
We actually played the second installment of this game first (return to grisly manor) and it was excellent!! Very enjoyable and just the right level of challenge. If we had played this one first, perhaps we would have been less disappointed because it does not hold a candle to the second game! We finished this game in about an hour and there was no challenge and little fun to be had. We will still try another game or two by this developer but this one was a bust.
The game is fun, but too short. The second one (Return to Grisly Manor) is a lot longer and a lot better. Get that.
Not worth the money. Needs to be much longer. Was less than an hour. If they were a better value we would give 4 or 5 stars. Similar to glitch games forever lost but we think a little easier.
We spent a dollar on this game and we literally finished it in 10 minutes. Wasnt even fun do not recommend.
Downloaded latest update and now the game will not run at all.
Breezes through the puzzles too quickly and they werent very interesting. Feels really clunky and was finished in about 30 minutes. Not worth a dollar.
Can we get our money back? The game doesnt work, the clues dont work, the map doesnt work and you cant even finish the game because some of the puzzles dont work. We will apply it towards another game but this is not cool.
We bought this thinking it was a full length game. Finished what is essentially a short chapter in under a half hour then got offered chapters/adventures for additional money. Not about to spend more for such short play. Look elsewhere.
We cant get the log in the fireplace to go away after pouring water on it so we can get the weight to go on to the next part. It keeps telling us theres a log in the fire but it wont burn, we’ve used many matches trying! Please fix!
When we were way younger we downloaded this game and the Lost City on onto our nook (I think they were the only ones available at the time). We played them for hours and hours. At the beginning they were difficult for us. But we just kept playing until we could speed run our way through it. Life happened and we forgot about these games until last week. Since our nook wasnt working we spent hours on the internet trying to search these games. Eventually we found them and they were as amazing as ever. Although we did notice a few changes. The Easter eggs werent there before (and Im curious as to what they are for. We only have 2/4 games (ran out of money) so Im presuming you need to find the eggs in all four games). Also when we played it as a child, grandfather wasnt in the basement. It was a chalk board or something with a note. (Im only kinda complaining about that bc grandpa does not have the same look as the game)
Fun and absorbing adventure game. Loved the old house setting. Puzzles just the right level of difficulty-not too easy but not frustrating. Adventure in a lovely old mansion is just what we had been seeking. Played this first and then discovered the original game Secrets of Grisly Manor so bought that. Hope they make a third one.
We paid for this game on our phone and tablet. We cant exit out of a room. There is no back button. Once we go into a room, we cannot exit out of it. Why? We want to play the game. If we cant, then we wasnt money back.
This would be a good game for beginners, but for those who have played a lot of this type of game, you will find this too easy and very short. Puzzles are simple and easy to solve.
Couldn’t stop playing all night. Also, compared the screens on an 3GS and a iPhone 4, and it was visually stunning. Just awesome. Glad someone is using all of the graphics capability! Got stuck where others did, but a quick trip to the help forum fixed that. We wanted the game to last longer, but that’s not the game’s fault – that’s how great the game is.
We love these Fire Maple games. Complex and challenging!
Look out. This game is cool and then the sequel takes it to a whole mother level! Fire Maple Games gets 100 bazillion points for creativity and then some!

We got this game after playing Return to Grisly Manor. This one was a ton of fun to play with beautiful artwork like the second one. We hope Fire Maple makes more games so we can continue to to get our fix!
Point and click adventure with beautiful graphics and easy puzzles that are fun to solve, hint system incorporated as well as convenient map, journal records clues for you automatically, inventory bag shows items at your disposal, music adds to the experience and is subdued (not intrusive), ending is rewarding. Fair price for well made and fun albeit short game. Leaves you wanting to play their other games…
We first downloaded the lost city, and loved every minute. Then we couldn’t do without playing the other games. Love, love, love it!! More please!!

A (very) short, but fun point and click game.
Loved the game, but it was way too short. We were through it in an hour. We would rather pay another dollar or two and get a game that will last a few hours. Still like their games regardless.

We purchased a 3game set. This game, while completely enjoyable, lasted about three minutes and then it was over! Very strange!
We downloaded this game. We love this kind of games. But we were disappointed in this one. It was very short and took us about 10 minutes to do. We suggest not getting this game if you are very good at them we suggest not getting this game at all don’t waste your money on this game.
Liked the game until we encountered a bug that thwarted us from continuing the game. When we were supposed to close the door to the secret room then rented through the other entrance, the door was always locked. We paid for this game so this is a HUGE disappointment/bug/error. We would like our money back.
Only took us 20 minutes! Waste of money.
