Who turned on the TV? Is that… music? And what is that god-awful static? Most importantly, where is Alex? As Emma reaches for the television, she has no idea her life is about to change forever… and only you can piece together the story to uncover what happens next.

KEY FEATURES:

Find out what gamers are saying about Shadows Remain: AR Thriller:

It is good and challenging and we would love for a sequel to this but maybe have it for AR glasses and this one to so it better to play.

We had a blast playing this game. We love scary stuff and usually things like this dont scare us but this one was a little creepy. Story line was great, graphics were great, we didnt have any problems playing as far as glitches or anything. We know chapter 2 is suppose to be coming but when? Only thing we would like to see if the moms voice sound a little more creeped out and Id like to see more to explore.

When you had the headphones the game is awesome its like you were apart of the game. The doll freaked us out because when it showed it our leg was in view and it had us scared. We liked it the ending couldve been better we sure hope there is more.

Wow! What can we say, it was the most interesting demo we have ever played and left us anxious for the next installment! Cant wait for more!

Its very fun but we wish the levels were longer and harder and we also wish there was more levels also the game just ends without a resolution.

We loved the game but the end not our Favorite.

As far as the technology used in this game it is cool… Getting closer and seeing more detail pulling back and seeing it all. Turning the board around or walking around it to see different angles its very cool in theory. But why? First off its a complete Battery hog to do anything in AR and you could play this exact game without AR and have most of the same gameplay. AR via cell phones is a gimmick you look corny using and no one wants to play or is able to play for long periods of time. The ones that actually submerged you in an environment are pretty cool but still cheesy. You literally have to hold your cell phone as if youre taking a photo the entire time you play. Thats silly! Glasses will be the only way AR will be fun or interesting to play.

We dont know why, after the 3rd level our screen goes black and we have to quit the game. We wanna play it later, we need to started over. Then we played once more, it only repeat the same way. If the game was done at that time, it should let us know, not just show us a blank screen.

Is it supposed to just end after putting the doll together or is the coding buggy?

The game was okay but it was a waste of time playing bc we never succeed of finding the son and the had to many movement u had to do just to win but not alone the cliffhanger was horrible it was never scary.

We played and gave this app 5 stars years ago. Now they only get one because theres no chapter 2.

First game in a while that excited us on the iPhone. AR is executed well and the gameplay is quite immersive. Doesnt take very long to complete, but this type of gameplay is not conducive to long duration anyways.

Possibly one of the best AR games we’ve ever played! Story line was just simply amazing. It took us a good 30ish minutes to beat the game, also games dont usually scare us, but this was just plain out creepy, so creepy that even our dog was whining to get out of our room! Keep up the good work can not wait to see whats to come in chapter two! Hopefully in chapter 2 there will be more walking around and not just sitting and or standing in one spot to look around! If the price is reasonable we would not mind paying a little extra to be able to be in a more open real world game!

This game is so amazing that it blow our mind! The storyline is very interesting and good. We hope they come out with more stories!

We are stuck in his work shop can someone please tell us how to get out???????? Please help.

Just gotta say this was amazing just SUPER SHORT….. Overall this is a great conceptual idea and we loved it. Im not much of a jumper but we definitely did. The sounds are creepy, the story is amazing, the visuals are awesome, and the gameplay is on point! Cant wait for Chapter 2! Thanks for making this game! More movement for AR Capability would be better and and also bigger rooms or areas to explore would be nice. Thanks again for the 30-45 min oh shi* fest! Loved it!

This would be an ultimate game if it was a vr head set iPhone game.. Still great content and graphics.. Also love the music.

Wow, Im new to these AR games, and this game was an amazing introduction to them. The graphics were absolutely beautiful, and the puzzles were very intriguing and fun to solve. It was easy to understand and play, but there were some instances where it wouldnt let us tap on an object. We cant wait for chapter two, and Im already subscribed to get updates on it. Im also extremely grateful that this was all free. We would never have expected something this amazing to be free on the App Store.

The game is really cool. Story line is short and leaves you hanging in the end but its a fun game. Would have gotten 5 stars if it was longer.

The length of the story should have been longer. There where what, 3 levels? That was waaay too short for our liking. The story itself was fun and the story was cool, it was just too short.

Im really into AR games right now, and this was one of the big disappointments. The rooms we did play were boring and didnt keep our attention so we kept closing the game. Ok, we get that its a demo app and everything, but why would anyone want to put out something that has no end or resolution to the story? There is a note in the game Im glad we saw, which states that the game is on hold for the foreseeable future due to the current state of AR. The developers must not live in this current world where AR is getting bigger every day. We deleted the app upon reading that, we dont want to start playing something only to get stuck and realize the game just arbitrarily ends with no real ending. So if you want to play an unfinished demo app only to be disappointed, go ahead. We will be downloading some great finished AR games on the App Store instead.

Simply the best AR game/app out there right now.

Loved this game and probably one of our favorites in the AR category. The story line was great and the visuals were too. Just a few things that could be improved a bit :/ First of all the girl narrating the story sounded happy her son was gone and never scared at all so maybe try to make her sound scared and worried in chapter 2. Also the game took us about 35 minutes and we wish soooo bad that it was longer cuz we really enjoyed the puzzles. We loved how creepy and demonic the game was and the creepy dolls and voices. The story was probably the best part of the game though cuz even at some times we got scared. Cant wait for chapter 2. Also will chapter 2 be a separate app or will it be on the same app just added and you need to pay for it cuz Im running out of storage.

We very much enjoyed the layout and UI of this game, but BEFORE YOU BUY, know that play time for this game is EXTREMELY SHORT and was very, very disappointing. Definitely was NOT worth buying.

We see a huge potential for a genuinely great game, Im optimistic.

Cool game. Graphics were great. Interesting storyline. AR experience is fun. We only have 2 criticisms: 1) at times, its difficult to move around; and, 2) at times, the voice of the spirit is difficult to understand what its saying. But, we enjoyed playing Chapter 1 and am looking forward to release of Chapter 2! We would recommend this game to anyone who enjoys first person mystery puzzle games!

It was a cool game!! We would really like to have played a longer version though!!! Too short, but still really good!!

We try to find a good surface, once we do we look around it several times like it asks but nothing. It gives no result and doesn’t work.

We cant anchor the game to our cat.

We personally enjoyed this to no other extent. Had no problems playing like bugs and glitches but we feel it should’ve been longer and/or more to explore. As much as we enjoyed the dollhouse feel, we think we should’ve been for a 360 point of View. Can’t wait to see what chapter two has to bring to the table!

Love this game! Great graphics and sound. Love the creepy concept. Totally bummed that there was only one chapter! We cant wait to see the rest!

Awesome Ar game plus its free.

Its all about perspective ! And we cant wait still the full GAME.

Awesome concept and very well execution.

Looking forward to a release and possible series of games like this. Even as a sample piece, it was engaging. Plenty of room for growth and improvements, too!

We have never written an app review but this one deserves it. This is fantastic, the way AR should be done. Definitely looking forward to chapter 2.

This is the first game that showed us ARs potential. We really enjoyed our time with it. One suggestion though: we would prefer to be immersed in the environment (like a 360 video) instead of looking at it from a dollhouse perspective. We tried anchoring it on the floor and on the table, both were a little uncomfortable for us. Keep up the good work!

Literally one of the best iPhone games we’ve played, the only thing we dont like is that is too short but if they made a longer version we wouldnt mind paying for it. It is really gooooood.

This game is amazing. We wasnt expecting it to be as great as it was as it is free! The concept, mechanics, and how it made us use our phone the get around in the game was great! Only thing we would say is the voice actress doesnt do a great job at sounding the least bit scared. Sounds more sarcastic than anything. But still, its a great game!

We want to see more of this game.

This game is cool and all but, when it comes to the part where she is looking for her son after the call cuts out, we cant seem to do anything :/ we honestly loved the start of it, and how the call ended added a whole lot of suspense and left a creepy atmosphere which had us considering whether or not to check the doors or the tv, we love that, but the fact we cant do anything there anyways, we are left in suspense.

Prob because our room wasnt bright enough but the virtual room would run off. Also we couldnt make it past the voice actress smug attitude in the game. Would of been better if she had a more serious tone to match the suspense the game was trying to pull off. Also that supernatural voice wasnt convincing either. As we said great concept… Just if it would of been a bit more serious it would of hit the mark. Of course IMO.

The canary made us rage, we COULDN’T FIND IT!! We found its shadow, but no canary. The game is pretty much impossible from there.

Although we like the 3D nature of the box, it is incredibly difficult to see things in there. We found the items accidentally without seeing them.

Excellent concept and design. Id love to have more freedom as a player; more space to wonder about the mystery and less talking. The effects are scary and cool as they are; but the acting completely takes you out of it. Even a minimally subtitled narrative would do wonders, just please, dont let the character be so involved with cynical thoughts at every step. Ah, our two adorkable boys… We got goosebumps during the whole game though. This thing is wicked.

With arkit being so new, and whats out there now being largely early tech demo like; this game for us signals a great step forward in production quality. We very rarely give 5 stars. It does more then just demonstrate ar; it does so with what feels to be a very immersive and quality gaming experience. Need more of this for sure. Definitely shows what competent game designers and developers can accomplish when more fully vested in a product created with this tech. Cant wait for more Just FYI; we are using an iPhone 8.

We like the concept and the perspective of the game. We were twisting and turning trying to find the right angles for things but with all new things the AR needs some work. We found the room flying away from us as we played and had to recalibrate a few times. The game play was also alittle short but over all we enjoyed playing it very well done.
