Find out what gamers are saying about Siege of Dragonspear:

As a 20 year player of the BG series we were very happy with this addition. Beamdog have done an excellent job of keeping to the spirit of BG while bringing updates to mechanics, enemy types, and storytelling. Lots of returning cast from the series. It feels like a game BioWare would have made in todays gaming world. A ton of content for the price that does a good job of tying BG1 and BG2 together. Highly recommend this expansion.

We absolutely loved playing this game. As a novice rpg player this game, as well as the others available in the Infinity Collection, have turned us on to rpg and we havent looked back. The characters, story line and side quests are all so entertaining and interesting. We LOVE that there are different levels of difficulty to chose from; we like to focus on the storyline a bit more than combat and this allows us to do that perfectly. Our only issue is that we’ve played all of the Overhaul games available on iOs and Im patiently looking forward to more from this developer! They definitely have a loyal fan in us.

Apparently that above reviewer never actually played Baldurs Gate. This is an amazing and lovingly restored and reconstructed chapter between BG1 and Shadows of Amn, the story is full of a lot of foreshadowing for the next game, without any spoilers, the item management and navigation is well executed for touch displays and much better than the original or even the computer enhanced edition with the one exception of item description which is a long press, something that can take a second to master, but not that long. Like any real rpg the game is what you decide it will be. So no, you dont have to fight the big bad villain, yes you might not save a particular character, and the characters you interact with, or not, are up to you. That being said, he new and returning character were perfectly rendered with what sounds like original voices! The banter and jokes are perfect and the new characters, especially Glint, are some of the best of the entire series. This is an extension to BG1 (the chapter numbers even continue), this is an interlude before the BG2, this is not an expansive involved epic. Right there in the description it says 25 hours, we sunk at least 100 into BG2. However siege of Dragonspear is EXCELLENT. Any Bioware fan will love it, and any BG fan must play it!

The other infinity games from beamdog work on iOS 8 or later. Whereas SoD requires 11 or later. So we’re stuck using our iPhone instead of iPad since our iPad maxes at iOS 10.3. Which is a killer.

Im so glad they revived this series in the infinity engine for iOS. These games are just such a pleasure to play, and while SoD lacks some of the explorative freedom and discovery of the earlier games, it still has great characters and all the little subplots that made the originals a blast to play through. Id love it if they started another series, with new npcs and stories, regions to explore, etc. And maybe premade player characters similar to Divinity 2 or something like that. The story just seems more compelling when the character has a background rooted in the setting. And some kind of game editor. Id buy all of it. We wouldnt even wait for a sale. Anyway, try it out. Its a great game, especially compared to most other rpgs on iOS. We mean, they got freaking David Warner to reprise his role from the earlier games. That dudes a legit Shakespearean actor. And theres no coins or gems to buy to level up. You just play through the story like a normal human being, meet people and have adventures. Try it out.

We were very much enjoying the game, having been a fan of the originals. However the flaw we found was that there is no apparent way to transfer a save file from one device to another. The game needs a cloud save type of feature so that it can be played across devices. As it stands we are currently unable to play as much as we would like to since the device we have the game originally installed on is not the device we get to use on a daily basis.

We cant seem to get audio on our iPad Pro. Have restarted it but still no sound, any idea on how to fix this?

We bought this on an 8 plus and it looked great. When we upgraded to iphone 11 the game interface did not fill up our screen. There was no way to adjust it and the text is barely readable. Looks like trash now and we lost any motivation to play it.

DO NOT RECOMMEND TO BUY. The author just adjusts price as update content last year! Its better to go to play cracks, at least there is a language package inside.

We didnt mean to purchase this one we thought we had cancelled it and it still went through. We uninstalled it because we’ve never played these games and it gives no tutorial. We tried to get a refund once we got our receipt and it says its not eligible. Im on an XS Max and it shrinks the screen about a half inch from each side making it way too small. It would be fine size wise if it wasnt shrunk. $10 and cant even get a refund.

Set up characters three times and crashed three times with no save and no record of characters ever being created. First two were because of phone calls linked to iPhone. Disabled. Last was because of keyboard icon in corner blocking stuff. Need to have option to save characters set up in single player before manually making a save file.

Absolutely love this game! You guys make owning a iPad fun! Dont feel like we need any other gaming platform. Keep up the good work, Beamdog!

Good developer support and a great, classic RPG style game – thanks for response and prompt fix. [Character import is broken. We export from BGEE, go to party creation, import, and you cant do anything further. You literally cannot form a party of imported characters. So, we have no idea if the rest of the game is good or not, as Im not starting over from scratch when we have huge time invested already in our BG character. Please fix….]

Finally!!!! Its on the iOS store!!! We’ve been eagerly awaiting this game since its announcement back in 2015, and its initial release in 2016. We dont know if the silly complainers back then and the controversy delayed this release on iOS, and if so thats really unfortunate – SHAME ON THEM.. We have the GOG version as well, but our current campaigns we had played out in the first game were on our iOS device, and now our 2 fully leveled BhaalSpawn characters – Dragon Disciple Jallan UlDragos and Paladin Jaana Flamehair can FINALLY continue past the first adventure!!!! HUZZAH!!!! Thanks BEAMDOG!!! Keep up the excellent work!!!

This is an awesome game . True RPG at its finest . Agood port from the pc games . Keep up the great work and hope you can bring Neverwinter Nights , Icewind Dale 2 . As well .

Im happy that saves are working. Excited to give this game shot!

We have been anxiously awaiting this game on iOS. We have been checking the App Store for months for its release, and then they snuck it in when we wasnt looking. :) Thank you, Beamdog and Overhaul for this amazing game.

We cant seem to import our SoD file to BGEE 2. Is this feature broken? If not, what is the process.

So far we have been enjoying the game but the activating the menhir quest seems to have a bug. Four of six have activated, the other two just display their descriptions over and over. Hope this will be fixed in an update soon.

Why not spanish language? Will it come in a future update?

The game crashes when picking up certain items after they have been identified, like the Reed of Echoes, for example. Kinda disappointed, as we recently purchased this and havent experienced this with any of the other games in the series.

The game is buggy with only 4 out of 6 Menhirs working during your first major area in the game. Unfortunately, we quit playing until the quest bugs are fixed up.

This is our first review of any app so take that into consideration while you read. Im a HUGE fan of NWN and BG and couldnt wait to delve into this new game. Once it start we realized this was worse than original Atari Asteroids. First its difficult to navigate, as an example trying to hold an item for a description is like beating your against a brick wall. Takes maybe 5-15 tries to work per item. The game is riddles with bugs, extremely hard to work through varies quests, cant get certain dialogs options to start, and many many places where youll miss opportunities and/or items because the game doesnt allow for all paths to be used. In other words, if you dont follow their specific path, youll not have the chance to save people, talk to others, thereby missing out. Finally, the story is so horrible its like a child from the 3rd grade wrote it. Most of the normal character you cant get right away and most of the other you can have join your party are drow, goblin, and a half orc which all give you a negative reputation. Seriously, why…??? The very end of the game happens leaving a significant character not saved along with a significant villain not even fought. Not a SINGLE REASON to have either in the game yet there and yet every cut scene is with the Hooded Man which you dont even get to fight. Absolute horrible and Ill sum it all up Im one word… JUNK!!!

Cant read text or see left and right control side bars. Way too small. Started out normal size but shrank. Just want to add that Baldurs Gate has same problem on our iPad Pro.

Im a huge fan of this franchise but the game crashes every time we try to open the app. Ten bucks wasted, very disappointed. Update: submitted the problem to baldurs gate support weeks ago. Havent heard a thing.

We are pretty impressed by this midquel that bridges the gap between the classic Baldurs Gate and Baldurs Gate II. So far everything has been smooth and the engine seems to be a real improvement. We’ve played for a month, including the beta, and have yet to find a problem that wasnt our own doing. The only issue we’ve had was that we didnt know that exporting a game from BGEE requires doing a long tap on the quicksave icon. If Id read the documentation Id have known this, but that would have meant losing all our programmer certifications. The plot is a bit linear, but given that it bridges BG1 and BG2, thats no surprise.

We imported our character easily from BGEE and really enjoy the game. Played BG2EE, IWDEE, and P:TEE, all on IPad, and this is more of the same goodness. New characters are great, old characters are fun to reminisce with. The port works perfectly and has the same control scheme on iOS as the other games. Great job by developer to port this over and we really hope they do the same for NWN when it is ready. Thanks for your efforts!

This stellar title is another masterpiece from the creators of the Baldurs Gate series. Meaning: epic storyline, atmospheric/immersive environments, great characters, in-depth character development and STATS that follow the D&D rules. Not for the faint of (skill tree)heart, impatient or button smashers.

Thank you for creating this! Game is excellent and super stable. A joy to have on iPad.

Im on an iPhone 7 and we havent had any problems. Hopefully itll stay that way. Thanks, devs. P.s. Be specific, Aziz.

We own all these games on PC and have enjoyed them. Looking forward to your adding more titles. Icewind Dale 2 is one Im hoping makes the cut :)

We have been waiting since this was announced for the tablet version and it has been more than worth the wait. Now you can play the series in its entirety across multiple platforms and devices. It is easy to send saves between PCs and iOS devices as well as custom portraits for players. That is as much of a mod as we could manage on our iPad and iPhone X. The AI updates make this more of a challenge especially with the larger battles but you can still adjust the difficulty if you need a little help. The import is the only thing that needs better instructions or a link to the forums to explain things in depth.

Waited years for this. So far it runs great on our tablet, and just to see, will try it out on our iPhone 7 +. Appreciate your work to bring this here.

The worst game we’ve ever played on our iPad.
