Player Experience Highlights
Community Insight:
This game has replayability and is actively engaging. Many people may criticize the acting but we find that its actually really charming lol :) we recommend.
We played this and was instantly hooked. Finished in two hours because we couldnt put it down. So immersive.
Ive been eyeing this game for many years now and we downloaded it and its one of the best cheap games that are horror games.
Great game best thing we spent our money on definitely going to play the other ones.
Not usually into phone games but this one was an amazing experience.
Funniest and Creepiest game Ive play would play again recommend for everyone.
We literally never leave reviews for games. We were expecting this game be lowkey kinda boring but yall this game is the exact opposite. If you like solving mysteries with full autonomy this is your game. Five stars all around, the team and whoever made this game deserves their pillow cold on both side on a hot summer day.
We absolutely loved playing through the game we watched Jacksepticeye play it years ago and it was fun to actually sit and play the game for once 10/10 great game.
The noises that play throughout the game have made chills run up our spine because we never expected it. Some of the video acting was a little cheesy but overall the game was amazing.
Totally worth the money, its long and challenging, and just hypnotizing in a way. The jumpscares do get old after a while, and the acting isnt the best, but the storyline is immersive and unique. We would definitely recommend this, the five dollars are totally worth it. It also has multiple endings, so it wont get old after the first play. (Spoilers) The simulacrum at the end, just its voice and the way it moved as it spoke was hypnotic and we enjoyed watching it, you did a great job with it.
Varieties of endings, tons of easter eggs, this game is lots of fun.
Our husband and we got this to play together and really enjoyed it! Great storyline, interesting characters, cool effects and like a horror movie. Well probably play again for the different endings. Highly recommend.
Our favorite game Ive ever played on our phone. So good. Kept us interested the whole time. We havent found another game that has kept us as interested as this one.
5e game. Its escalated but. Veegud.
We LOVED THIS GAME ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS GAME PLAY IT RN.
It was worth the money we loved it to the very end.
One of the best games on Apple we may sound like a bot but its true.
THIS IS A AMAZING GAME TRUST ME YOU NEED IT.
Simulacra was a really fun game highly recommend.
We just finished it for the first time, we got the worm ending thing. This game was so thought out and amazing. It was definitely worth 5 dollars and Im going to buy the others when we finish all the endings. Definitely worth it and lasts a while to finish.
We love this game! It is a collection of videos and its like a found footage game almost. We played it constantly until we got an ending and Im about to play it again to get a different one.
We were expecting just doing stuff on a phone after watching JACKSEPTICEYE play we thought it sounded fun and the Easter egg with his name is phenomenal! And the unexpected jumpscares really got a jump out of us! Im might buy the second but great game guys.
What a fun game. Well worth $5 and an afternoon.
We did have to look up two things but other than that its great.
Taylor is pretty pog although he is now a murderer in our book see yeh Anna.
The game is super fun and its one of the fewer mobile games that dont have any adds at all. Theres multiple endings and choices and you can play through the game as many times as you like! We love this game and the fact that there is more to this series is awesome!!! Id really recommend this game if youre looking for something with a mix of scary and fun! It one of the absolute best game Ive played.
Ive played this game twice so far and got both a good and bad outcome and was even able to find an Easter egg. One of the best phone games hands down! We downloaded every game by this company and Im definitely not disappointed.
Am not a fan of the audio messages but everything else is great. We wish the game had more accessibility features (text transcriptions or subtitles).
We personally enjoyed the game a lot. We enjoyed the characters and unique endings. Taylor was one of our favorite characters in the whole game. Cassies phone number was a little hard to find but after that was found we were good. We also believe that the scariest jump scares were the phone calls XD. We were super happy with the storyline and enjoyed the game overall.
UPDATED: we had previously rated this one star because we were unable to play the game, when we had so excited about it that we actually saved it for when we knew Id have a lot of time to devote to it. Well, it turns out it wasnt the apps fault, but something we were doing wrong after clicking begin and entering the password. We looked at what TongueTied Games did on his YouTube channel to start and bam, easy fix. Ill put it this way: we started playing this in bed around 1 in the morning, fell asleep around 7 am for a couple hours, then finished it after waking up a couple hours later. So yeah, for us to play any game straight through like this, especially when Im so tired, clearly means we were addicted from the start. We love how creepy it all is and how youre engrossed in solving this bizarre mystery, not knowing who you can trust. We know some people complained about wanting the puzzles, along with solving different clues, to be more difficult. For the first game of this sort, we found the level of difficulty appropriate. We dont want to spend an hour on each clue, especially if there are a lot of them. To us, its more about the game play and seeing results of your choices. Theres logic games we play it if we want to test our brainpower. This is clearly more of a mystery/horror game that isnt supposed to take forever to figure out. We cant wait to explore the alternate endings (Ill probably look them up online, since Ill be doomed into having to choose Anna or Taylor again if we dont… Because Im unsure of how our initial choices led us to where we ended up, and also, how to rationalize with something that is not of the material world? Wish we could have seen more of the actual ending rather than just being told that the person will no longer be themselves, as we know them). It baffles us that people complain about spending FIVE DOLLARS for this. For all the gameplay you get, and considering almost NO game is completely free (either you must watch ads or make in-app purchases, and most games make levels nearly impossible to beat without paying some extra money) we'd say this game is a steal. Although apparently the devs decided to make the first version free at this point (we see the sequel is $5, however) we would have gladly paid the $5 for this and will gladly pay $5 for the sequel. Its the equivalent of a cup of coffee, come on. The devs have to make SOME money. Also, someone said this was sexist… How?! Im a girl and assuming you play as a guy… You clearly didnt play the whole game through, because at one point, Taylor asks if youre a guy or girl. We just didnt see how this was sexist. The mom was super critical and harsh of Annas choices, the best friend in love with her, so we fail to see how going to them would have helped this situation. Besides, youre trying to find who has info and who may have taken her, and clearly its not those two. Amazing game, thank you for the wonderful experience! We will play both other games now as well after exploring the alternative endings (we already played Sara is Missing). For all of those who expect so even more from such a complex game (and for free at that), YOU try putting something together that requires so much time and effort on your part, and ask for nothing in exchange for all your time.
(First review of ours) great game 11/10.
We were skeptical when we first got this game that it would have enough features on the phone to make it feel real. Well, hats off to the developers. The game is interesting, it pulls you in, but it also has substance and enough complexity that you really feel like youre using someone elses phone. There are several apps, lots of conversations to be had, clues to figure out, things to unscramble. We played for hours yesterday to beat it, and it turns out there are multiple endings, so we think we will try again. If you are like us and have ever done any investigating on the internet, youll love this game. It even has multiple game-only websites you have to use. We also just want to shout out to the actors in the game. You all did great. You seemed like regular people which was perfect for what was going on. Great game.
This game is scary plus awesome and it is so perfect we like how you added the little Jumpscares in there it is very good awesome job keep it up.
This game was so well made and extremely addicting. There is more than one ending meaning im definitely going to play again to see what we can do with the other options. Considering its just a game, we did get quite frightened at time which really kept it feeling real. This would be extremely fun with a group as well, deciding choices together. Headphones would have made this experience even scarier as there were random noises every once in a while that scared us. Overall a great mystery game with a super cool ending.
We like it very much but the jump scares got us off guard.
Our all time favorite horror game even compared to DDLC, which has jump scares we can't even look at tbh. We have adjusted to the jump scares in these games but still sometimes get scared mentally, but we don't jump at them.
If u love creepy and dark stuff u will love this!! We love that we get to screw with a random persons phone while having a fun time!!! We LOVE THIS APP!!! THE 5$ WAS DEFINITELY WORTH IT.
This game is absolutely amazing.
This game is so much fun and So addictive. Its worth buying. Im downloading the second game as Im writing this review.
An absolutely enthralling ride. It's 2am. We could not put this down.
We threw our phone across the room twice! But it was a really fun game.
Very good story line kept us locked in until the end.
Love the effects so much play it.
This game is absolutely amazing, amazing story and one of the best games we have ever played on mobile. If you have a long car ride or plane ride ahead of you we would highly recommend checking this out. 5 stars.
This game is amazing we love how it has live action combined with horror lost phone games 10/10.
Great story and characters! No flaws,.
Simulacra is a well-crafted game with a dangerously addicting storyline. We highly recommend it to anyone with a penchant for solving mysteries. Exploring every last bit of Simulacra will take you hours but it will only feel like a few minutes.
We wish there were more of these games out there, please continue making them! Yall are so talented we didnt want to stop playing Thank you.
The game was done downloading by 12 at night and we played it from 1 am to >6< AT MORNING. We didnt sleep last night and we regret nothing.
Seriously awesome game! We were addicted but we loved that we could walk away and come back to our last saved spot.
