What Makes Slay the Spire Stand Out

Features:

  • Dynamic Deck Building: Choose your cards wisely! Discover hundreds of cards to add to your deck with each attempt at climbing the Spire. Select cards that work together to efficiently dispatch foes and reach the top
  • An Ever-changing Spire: Whenever you embark on a journey up the Spire, the layout differs each time. Choose a risky or safe path, face different enemies, choose different cards, discover different relics, and even fight different bosses!
  • Powerful Relics to Discover: Powerful items known as relics can be found throughout the Spire. The effects of these relics can greatly enhance your deck through powerful interactions. But beware, obtaining a relic may cost you more than just gold…

Player Experience Highlights

Community Insight:

First: buy this. Second: enjoy. Third: make sure to get a full charge on your phone every night cuz youre going to be playing this game all day.

One of the greatest game of all time.

We bought it yesterday and played for 13 hrs already. Its really addicting and fun. Its challenging, but not to the point where you want to give up once you figure things out. We will say the UI can be a little frustrating when youre in battle. Ive had it auto select cards before and didnt realize so we accidentally played it.

Ive taken down this spire so many times our boyfriend wants to leave us.

Its a complete game, what more can you ask for? Yes some devices dont always work flawlessly at first. But its a good game and no run thru is ever the same. Cell service or wifi are not required to play. No ads. Ive got probably 200+ hours into it. Purchase once and play on any of your apple devices.

Hundreds of hours played on Steam (desktop and Steamdeck), now we can pass the time more conspicuously on our phone.

Its simply the best. Long flight? Sink your teeth into this. Watch Northernlion play this, and you will understand how much fun it is.

Dis game is too fiyah. Ppl who don't like the game need to git gud.

2 is Balatro and #3 is Incryption. Its a great time to be a card game enjoyer.

We've played Slay the Spire for thousands of hours. It is by far, the most memorable game for us in the past decade. It scratches every deck building itch that we have, with the added bonus of roguelike mechanics, unlockable difficulties and cards, and a timeless soundtrack. Each game is easily digestible in about an hour, and can be paused and resumed at any time. So if you're like us, and have less and less time to commit to video games, this is perfect. The game is also complete, whole, and not going to try to sell you on skips, or other pay to progress content. This ten dollar purchase will unapologetically deliver thousands of dollars worth of entertainment. Please buy this game. You will not regret it.

Every game is a chance to try a new strategy, hands down our favorite game.

Slay the Spire is a fantastic game with great game design sense and replayability. Definitely got our value out of it for the cost and the fact that there are no micro transactions is massive win.

Until then, sts still the bestest.

Great game but please support controllers (backbone one).

We love the is game, we have it on steam so we hate to complain but its a pretty bad bug where our ascensions arent being registered. Youre supposed to unlock the next ascension even when you lose the heart, but three times it never went through and we had to repeat the ascension. Please, for the love of god fix this.

Great game but cant see cards on our iPhone 14. When we select them to read them the game will play them automatically sometimes.

If youve played this game on desktop its great roguelike deck builder card game. The downside is that its quite easy to misclick things and completely throw a run off a bad interface or misclick on the screen.

Really hard to read what cards do because your finger is blocking the pop-up. No explanation for some of the effects.

If you want to get a winning run you have to rely on getting good relics from mini bosses so it ends up being a lot of trial and error with no real path choice.

We play this game a lot on PC and switch. Its fun having it on the iPhone, but so so slow. A few things about touch screen behavior in this game bother us: on full-touch screen iPhones it is really really difficult to use the screen function to move out of the game to other apps. Its right in the same place on the screen as where you select cards and we have frequently accidentally played cards while trying to swap out of the game. It also for some reason will randomly pull a card slightly upward, as if Ive started dragging it, and if Im not careful it will play the card when we touch the screen.

Loving the game but the font size is WAY too small changing the game setting to big text doesnt do squat. Please increase the font size.

We love this game and was instantly addicted after buying it on steam. We got to the true boss of the game and then picked up the phone game so we could continue on the go. Was extremely disappointed that save transfers are not possible. Also, we dont know if its the size of our phone screen (13 mini), but the cards are hard to read and its so easy to play something by accident that it can be really annoying sometimes.

Ive been playing this game for years, primarily on desktop, but primarily on mobile now. The most recent update makes taps on cards not always show all details, and options to select/discard cards during levels always has a card popping up and blocking the button, so we almost always discard the wrong card (which has now cost us at least one run). IPhone 14 Pro, if that makes a difference. Please address, because it makes certain interactions annoying. Also, the phantom hover bug still exists on iOS. This update makes us not want to buy STS2 when it comes out if this is how things are maintained.

We love this game and absolutely recommend it on PC, but the button and text size is so small on iPhone that its hard to even press the buttons on the tab at the top. Please fix.

Wonderful game, horrible frame rate on a brand new iPad Pro.

Sadly we recommend against purchasing StS for iPhone. The touch controls are highly unreliable. We have fairly slender fingers and Im dextrous, using iPhone 13 Pro Max, and even when being very careful selecting cards, we still miss fairly often. The 2nd to left-most card is super difficult to select to discard. Selecting a card to discard will often result in the wrong card being thrown away, regardless of how careful you are to touch it directly. Also, after touching a card, it remains weirdly sticky we.e. It often wont go back into your hand, and you have to carefully click around your other cards, hoping to deselect it, lest it be played. The issues are fairly constant; definitely recommend not spending $10 on this. Just play on PC.

We adore this game, have sunk a ridiculous amount of hours into it but wanted to come leave some feedback for the devs that the latest update has added a lot of frustration to our experience on iOS (iPhone XS if it matters). Cards in our hand have gotten super sticky – very often when we tap to select they dont rise high enough up to be able to read the text and Ill have to tap them up and down 3 or 4 times, often have to tap a different card and go back to it before itll pop up properly. Im methodical enough that it hasnt led to too many misplays, and Im never too proud to scum save when it doesbut it does make our turns take a lot longer and adds a lot of extra tapping and frustration. It was running fine for years so we were surprised to see anything change this late into the game. So while on one hand Im happy to see this game is still getting some dev love on mobile, on the other all its caused us is grief lol so hopefully theyre still up for some more tweaking! Itll be an easy 5 stars with this one gripe fixed. Thanks.

This game is one of the best and continually rewarding we have ever played. Its built to hotwire dopamine in your brain. Proceed with caution.

The game itself well, one of our favorite video games of all time. And it works like a gem on mobile. Theres nothing about this app that makes it feel like a knock off. You are legitimately getting the full Slay the Spire experience.

One of our favorite games of all time and works pretty much perfectly on phone.

1000+ hours and every time we pick it up it feels like a new game.

Would love to play this in through backbone directly on Mobile. Currently the only way is to wait for a rig with NVIDIA which is silly since the game runs natively on iOS.

Anyone who rated it less didnt put the time in or didnt want to put the time in. This game is endless and timeless.

Theres no need for a big long paragraph, its simple this is a good game, it would be difficult to not have a total blast. We dont link card games, like we really dont. But this whole game is cards, and you will love it. Get the game, support the developers trust us youll thank yourself.

Love this game! It decided to buy it after our apple arcade trial ran out because we've been having a blast with it. We may not be "good" but it's really fun to play even when you die lol. The touch controls can be a little finicky especially if you draw a large hand but they work well enough for us. If you have limited dexterity we could see it being potentially an issue though so in that case maybe pc would be a better bet. Overall, mark us down as a fan.

We love this game. We own it on our phone and on steam and on our switch. We love it. Please please please add controller support for the mobile app! We would play it A lot more on our phone if we could use a controller.

Very unique game, and we like the idea of ever changing maps/enemies. Every play through is challenging in its own way. What would be awesome is to add more spires, more enemy variety (including bosses).

This is the most deep and rewarding game Ive ever played. Thousands of hours in it and its always a new experience. If you have adhd and tire of games quickly. Get this, devote yourself to it. Its a gift from God above.

One of the best games ever made. Period.

Like the title says this game is awesome and now you can play it on mobile, buy it, ignore the people saying its too hard, its hard but put in the time and you find a powerful combo you like that can get you to the end.

Ive sunk hundreds of hours into this game. Its one of the best games Ive played in over 20 years of gaming. Something about this game just clicks with us and theres endless replay-ability.

We love this game so much we have it on console and now on our phone its one of the best rogue likes out there the cards the characters the path choices cant get enough honestly please devs make more like this or release dlc on console.

No problems with the game on iPad. Everything works as intended.

Love it.Just want another charater to play and learn.

We played this game on steam and we are glad that it comes to iOS.

We are addicted and cant stop reinstalling this game. It is ruining our life. We delete our account the reinstall. Help?!! This is not a joke.

We love this game but we would love it +1 with controller support.

Love this game but want controller support for Backbone etc.

Best game. Give us more. More and more! Could do with multiplayer somehow. Love it. Worth every penny.

Awesome game, but can you guys add the leaderboards , similar to the computer version.
