Community Insight:
We recently downloaded this game, and find it one of the most accessible games we've ever played. We also downloaded fear, which we also love. Hopefully we will learn what the lights do, but so far this is an incredible game.
This is a really fun game. We would like if there was an option where you can create your own islands you can decide their obstacles platform and sounds for that island. Thank you.
Update. So this is like 3 to 4 weeks after we got this game. Probably shorter than that, we dont feel like doing math right now. And this is pretty much going against the original theme of the review we made before. But we really do love this game, we got this subscription and it is totally worth it. We still dont disagree with our statement that we made before in the review, but we did get it and we think its worth it. The accessibilities are really awesome, and our favorite part about it or at least one of our favorite parts about it. Is that instead of having some weird text to speech voice enabled it, you can use your voice voice. If you want. It makes it just feel more personal, and the voiceover voice we have is the only one we really like at all. Because it sounds like an actual human being. So, Im glad that we can use our voice voice for this game! We love your games, seriously the best! We cannot believe our luck! We mean, a few weeks ago we wouldve never guessed that we would All right, so we got this game not even an hour ago. Ive already done the tutorial. It looks really good! We really like the sound quality, and everything. So heres where our problem comes in to play. And, Yall can probably sense what Im about to say. Right? Subscription So we get that yall need money to make the games better. We totally understand, but cant there be a one time charge? Its just excited people get all these free games, or games that you can play without subscriptions. And pretty much every great blind game we find has to be paid for in some way or another. While we do get the need for money to make games better, cant there be some other way to do it? Maybe you can watch advertisements to win gold which continues to play games. If you run out of gold, you cannot play any more games. Not until you watch another ad. Or, if you really do need money, you should do a charge. And its OK if you do like $29. That is like the yearly subscription, but maybe it can buy the game. For an unlimited time. We get that this is not the amount of money that it took to make the game. Its not even close, and we get that these games are really hard to find and probably even harder to make. But, Im only 13, and we dont got a bunch of money to pay for the stuff. We really hope this doesnt come off through, because we dont wanna brush off the time it took. Dont give us wrong, we really really love this game. We can already tell, and we might pay for it. It would be a definitely, if it was a one time charge though. Its only, our family has a bunch of kids. So we have to use our money for that. And, they dont have time to really pay a bunch of subscriptions for our stuff. And, we do think if you made a time charge more people would buy it. Which would guarantee you more money. Thats how we see things. But, we totally understand if you dont take any of our advice. And Im probably gonna buy it so, despite the monthly pay, which we would like to add is a more than reasonable price to pay each month, we like the game. The only reason Im even bringing this to attention, is because some people including us dont have unlimited money. Like if someone wanted to play unlimited time, they would have to pay each month. Although it doesnt seem like much, in the moment, it adds up overtime. Thank you, and again, we dont want this to seem rude. We really want you to know that you are doing a great job when it comes to developing these games, and we wish there were more people like you who would take the time to recognize that all people should be able to play games.so thank you again, and keep doing a great job.
Dear app developers, please make the islands free.
Sorry for not reviewing yet, although we'v been playing for quite some time. We do, however, have some event suggestions and other things. One of them is for the rades, which MentalHome.eu was supposed tocome up with. We'll, of course, e-mail them about it, but what about having a "Home Box" for tribe members to use in helping with such a rade. These boxes could always be there, but they could help collect the gold when players aren't present to manually collect. We think players would like that, wouldn't they? Also, what about this for a Christmas-theemed event, right there on the Winter Lake? The penguins would still throw snowballs, and you'd have to literally drag your finger/if using other modes of navigation than the gyroscope. Any, drag your finger quickly left or right to dodge the funny birds and their snowballs. You'd be on a bobsled during the event. For those using the gyroscope, literally pull your device in the direction you'd like to dodge, things get faster as the gold and maybe, diamonds, are collected/kind of like the very first event but would only appear around this time of year'. Also, what about the Sonar Archade? That way, all events other than the "new" one we're proposing will always be present to do when waiting for attacks and rades. Sonar arcade would be one of the options, right where the events are located on screen now, we'd think. Thank you for a great game, and what about making it more, like a survival-type game? If not, please have the Amazon Rain Forest or maybe, Statue Of Liberty, something like that.
While we don't currently have a subscription we really love this game! It is very entertaining, very enjoyable, we quite enjoy it a lot. Also we think the subscription payment is very reasonable.
Ive used to shop for a long time. We love it. We think its the best. Its five stars.
Cant wait to test the Himalaya island. As far as the events go, they were awesome! While we understand that the events are limited, we would pay extra for a game bundle with these as permanent games. Especially rollerball and the lorry ride.
And the game descriptions, there is a button to hear what the tokens sound like. But for rollerball, theres no sound to show what the whole sounds like. That and the indicator that beeping sound that gets higher in pitch is actually softer than the rolling sound and it makes it more difficult to figure out whether youre going to break direction or not. This is not our favorite game. But that doesnt mean we dont like mental home. And all the other games. And we still like rollerball just we think needs tweaking.
OK, when youre attacking an island, the timer should let you know when youre at 30 seconds. Lets say for example we hit one minute on the timer. When 30 seconds are left, it should say 30 seconds. Every 10 seconds it should say how much time is left. 30 seconds left, 20 seconds left, 10 seconds left, and so on. It should also give you a five second countdown before the timer would run out. That would be a lot more helpful. Its just a suggestion, but we hope it can be taken into consideration. Also, you should implement a suggestion in the time events with a timer. What we mean is, next time if rollerball ever comes back out, you should implement this suggestion into that event. Thank you so much for rolling out more events and continue the hard work. Thank you developers.
We had to keep buying diamonds to get anywhere. And you cant even get experience points from attacking other islands.
This tends to be a game we play heavily andthen forget about for a few months, only to start a heavy playing jag again some time later, but when we do play, we're impressed with the quality of work. All the islands sound rich and realistic, and it seems like things are always getting added, whether islands or events. While we wish we could do things like decorating our islands and we think the tutorial could use some writing brushe-ups, the subscription price for this kind of ongoing work seems more than reasonable to us, especially as things are quite polished when they do drop. Thanks for a great time waster of a game.
We downloaded this game this morning and we are having so much fun with it. The sounds are awesome. Well done. Very well designed. It is amazing. We love it. We recommend it.
Hey guys. Could you maybe make it to where we can by individual islands? Totally understand if you can't make that work. Just wondering about all that. Thanks.
We recently downloaded this game, and find it one of the most accessible games we've ever played. We also downloaded fear, which we also love. Hopefully we will learn what the lights do, but so far this is an incredible game.
You really have to pay a monthly fee to play online? Seriously, we mean we dont mind paying a one time fee but, a monthly fee? Yeah we know well, its not fair that cited gamers have more freaking free games.
This seems like a really fun game and we wanted to do the tutorial before we decide to pay a subscription for it since we have a tight budget and only do it if we like something but we don't get how we're supposed to play the game when we can't even get pass the easiest part of hearing for treasure when the tutorial voice keeps talking and repeating the same thing every two seconds you can't hear the treasure and him talking loudly in your ear at the same time if the voice repeated every couple of minutes then that would be fine just in case you forget how to do something but not a minute goes by before he starts blabbering again and to us if we can't get pass a simple tutorial why would we give someone money when we don't even understand how to play the game correctly great concept but kinda just a waste of phone storage now to us.
Stupid. Chase a bird. Now pay a subscription fee to chase a bird. No thanks.
This game needs an update. We really love it, but the way it is now, its beginning to become doll as we reached the maximum level and we have nothing else to do but battle for lights and upgrade things that we didnt previously . We would consider adding more levels or more new islands. Maybe a new island where we can actually swim in the see this time? Anyway, please make an update soon.. Best regards.
Im glad you fix the controls for the audio and the turning, we hope we can continue playing this game in the future.
Game has problems not as responsive to touch as it could be there are delays screen keeps popping up asking you if youre sure you want to stop the game sometimes at crucial moments also youre told that players cannot repeatedly attack you but we have been attacked 3 or 4 times in a row by the same player dont know how this is possible but it happens.
We absolutely love this game. The sound design is great and the game is fun too play. Im also glad to see further development such as the creation of more islands. It really bothers us to see reviews complaining about the subscription. The game runs on a server which will have a monthly cost and the price is reasonable. Most quality games for the sighted require in app purchases and/or subscriptions. Great game and worth the cost.
Honestly it costs an absurd amount of diamonds to secure your treasures on your islands; however this is honestly one of the best audio games for the visually impaired on the App Store right now. It honestly could be a bit cheaper; however from the sound; two variety; you may not find a better audio game out there.
Im tired of every time we find a game that we think is cool, we have to pay for a subscription, when there are so many free games out for the sighted. This is wrong on so many levels, because a lot of visually impaired people are in the low income bracket, and the developers are just taking advantage. You cant even play the game unless you subscribe, which is ridiculous. Give us a one time purchase price for the entire game, and Im all over it, but we dont do subscriptions, unless an app is providing a service that is important, like whether.
Using headphones that have built in 7.1 and attempted headphones with 5.1 surround sound, the extent we got was audio getting a little bit louder, this is not anywhere near where it should be, the feeling of depth space and location is completely nonexistent in this game. Edit, the 7.1 was onboard the headset, also, even with basic earbuds, that of which we are assuming the game was built for, still only gave the sound of getting louder and quieter, not louder in one ear rather than the other, just, the same sound through both ears.
Title says it all. We love this game and the concept but unfortunately we cant afford to play this game since you must pay monthly to play the actual game. It draws you in with a tutorial and some lore and then says that we have to pay monthly / yearly to keep playing. This is an incredibly common complaint and the monetary aspect of this game should seriously be reconsidered or redesigned. Youre losing money and players. We would pay a one time fee, but even the best game ever created is absolutely not worth a monthly subscription in our humble opinion. This is a mobile game, something to play at the doctor, not Amazon Prime. Especially when there are so many free games with ads youre competing against, you cant expect people to play. It feels disingenuous that the game comes off as free in the App Store and its not when you actually play it. With all due respect, from dev to dev, we hope our advice is helpful. Wonderful job on the game otherwise! Wish we could play it.
The game is great, sadly requires a subscription.
This app had AMAZING potential, but we must say one word: FREAKING SUBSCRIPTION!!!!!! Okay, that was two, but this game was literally in line for our new fav, until we realized it required a subscription. We saw one comment saying (roughly, Im paraphrasing) that they were tired of finding games where you subscribe to play, and then the editors said (again, roughly) recheck our extended comment, saying notice value not price, virtually telling them that even if you paid $100 per month, so long as it was a fine game it was okay. First of all: that is crap, and makes no sense. No one (unless youre rich) would be willing to do that. Second of all: we had no clue this was a game for the blind, and we didnt know that until we checked the comments. And blind people arent usually overflowing with money, and so thats ridiculous taking advantage of them. Please change it! This game would be awesome otherwise, five stars if not for the subscription. We get you need money, but cant you make at least this one game free? One other thing: the developer is pretty rude to people saying things, and avoids some of their main questions, and doesnt accept the fact that they could make a one time pay instead of a subscription, so screw them. Sorry for any blind people disappointed by this game like ourselves (except Im not blind).
The bird escaped. Better luck next time. Try again. The bird escaped. Better luck next time. Try again. Again and again. Couldnt get through the tutorial once the single game element was introduced. Guess we just cant tell what the programmers want, because we certainly thought we were centering the sound of the bird, so repeating those instructions with the 1990s computer voice did nothing for us.
Google translate voice is horrible and mispronounces every other word. Could not get through tutorial 0/100.
After you finally get through the tutorial you have to pay to even play the game whats the point so you learn how to play the game some what And then they make you pay to play any more ignorant.
We love sonar islands we play it every day we think that the subscriptions are reasonably priced and we hope that other things can come in the future like we know that we kind of just finished winter but what If there is a winter island where it hails and you upgrade it and you have to use a shield to protect yourself and you can either have polar bears or abominable snowmen that you have to dodge this is just one island suggestion the game is awesome we dont think Ive ever found a game that is multiplayer like this it sounds like you guys are really trying to take the blind community into consideration we may not have our site but we like to have just as much fun as the sighted and companies like you make that wonderful and worthwhile thank you.
Fun game, but the reason we gave 3 stars and not 5, is because you have to pay a subscription to play online, which we don't really find fair. We know that developers need some way to earn money, but paying for multiplayer, especially for those who are unable to pay, is rather hard. But other than teagd game.
This developer cannot deal with criticism and is quite rude to people attempting to play a rather buggy game.
This game is so much fun! We love unlocking and attacking different islands. Out of all the games Ive played its definitely one of our favorites. We would recommend this to anyone looking for new gamesits definitely worth the price.
This game is incredible. The sound design is flawless and everything runs smoothly. We just wish to access the full game you didnt have to pay. We feel like you should be able to access the multiplayer portion and a basic island or two, and have DLCs with a one time purchase unlocking more of the islands and features. If you were to do that, have the game cost like $6-$7. Overall great idea and great tutorial parts, but needs more access without a continuous subscription.
Well, maybe once a payment, or you can use gold as a subscription. Not just the white snakes and ladders and collapsing ceilings and upgrades. Besides what is the rent subscription? This is just a bunch of violence and attacks and treasure it shouldnt its a small game. The reason we are saying now is because too many games for the blind require an app purchases and subscriptions. You could remove the subscriptions. And we thought of another way to do it. The goal to make him more useful. You can do something like 30 gold for three hours, 69 gold for one day, 111 gold for one week, and 135 gold for 2 to 3 weeks. Please take this. Its just not fair that side of people have more free games than us blind people. Please take time to review this and read it sorry that this was long.
Its awesome. Im not often into immersive games but this one we are. It is very very addicting. Thank you guys for putting this out. We recommend this to blind inside of the light. Use immersive headphones or 3-D headphones.
We downloaded this game because it really sounds interesting, but it wont let us play. After the headphone check, a NEXT button pops up, but it wont advance. Unfortunately, this forces us to give it such a low rating. Im sorry, and hopefully thisll be fixed. Update: thank you for the hint. Now the game works fine, and it sounds really intriguing. We havent yet unlocked the full version, but it makes us really want to.
Why not have a one time payment instead of of a subscription just to play.
