Excellent work bringing it to the app store with huge updates to quality, voice work, and more. One request: please fix the audio mute functions. They turn back on the moment we enter a fight. The music is great, but Id like to toggle it sometimes.
Originally thinking they just ported the Flash version straight to mobile with touch controls we were very wrong with updated graphics and text and the game has so much nostalgia while also being an amazingly fun game with like no IAP.
U should make it like sonny from the computer where when u get items and equip them they actually appear on sonny other than him just look the same even tho he has stiff equipped but other than that the game is fantastic amazing game play and story keep adding more is all we would suggest the game is fantastic but it could be even better more on the this game with more added on.
Fire class op it is what we used to beat carbon the second time. Actually electric is broken af with arc flash.
You guys are awesome. Thank you for all the fun.
Brings us back to playing the first Sonny. Figured there would be ads and we havent seen a pay to win system yet.
Despite the lack of character animations, the game is still enjoyable gameplay wise. Just don’t expect it to branch from 1&2.
We used to play the old sonny games on pc and love that they came out with this one! Brings back memories and its a fun challenging game. Definitely going to play through more than once to try the different element strains!!

King reggae made us love this game now we can enjoy it again.
We’ve been playing this game for years on PC(Kongregate/armorgames) and we can say this definitely satisfies our turn based AND Sonny urges. Some differences between this and the pc version, but we think the differences actually keep it fresh and new. The character models look really good as well, its pretty cool seeing Sonny cut up and jacked!
We remember playing Sonny 1 and 2 in the library during slow days. Good times!!!

We really excited to play this game when we found out its on AppStore. Honestly, without disappointing us, it made us addicted to this game and importantly this game is FREE!. We mean like seriously, the quality, sounds, etc, are perfect :) we hope therell be another version of Sonny coming out, hopefully!
Honestly, we’ve been looking for a game like this for a long time. We think the difficulty is great! It forces you to respec often to try different builds, avoiding the optimal build dilemma. Once you find the op build for your area, you just glide right through, its super satisfying. The story reminds us of the original Sonnys in just the right way. Im excited to try shadow + lightning on our third play through.
We’ve beaten the game 3 times as Legend (without any training) using different strains each time so we can say its possible to beat the game with any strain. Its an awesome strategy game! The important thing is to use the right skill set tailored to the enemies youre facing for that round so be prepared to respec your skill set whenever you come across a mini-boss. Also, make sure your using the right set of equipment that complements your skill set. You should expect to upgrade every team members equipment at each new location. You shouldnt waste any money to upgrade the stats on the equipment. The most expensive equipment is not always the best choice. While certain strains will work better with each other, it is not a critical factor in beating the game as Legend. Lastly, picking the right teammates that complement your overall strategy should not be overlooked.
Really enjoying it so far would love to have sonny 2 put on the store so we can play that after this one.

None of the other App Store apps we have played so far have utilized a gameplay like this. In addition, the story is complete, with cutscenes that are not too long, but last just long enough to give an impact. The different skill trees and equipment combinations make this a game that you can experience many times.
Played this game back in the old days and was always wondering, hoping that theyd make a Sonny 3. Yesterday we randomly thought about Sonny for the first time in a long time and lol and behold, they HAVE made a sequel. Though its more of a reimagining of the Sonny universe, its still pretty fun. Great, get this shiiiiiiet.
We like it a lot. Completely free-to-play. We wouldnt mind purchasing anything, either, to show our support, as we played the original Sonny all those years ago.
Ever since the last patch, the game has become much more balanced. If youre having difficulty, try the ice tree for the best stuns + second best healing, the darkness branch for the best (and absolutely necessary) debuffs/buffs, or the fire path for intense burst damage. Herregods will always be useful, and you can rotate the others. Always focus on building speed.
It was amazing to find this game. We first played the original game over a decade ago on Kongregate. To see it remastered is AMAZING! Brings us back to all those years ago. AND IT IS ON MY PHONE!!! This was an incredible find!
Super deep, complex skill trees, hidden combos, fun experimentation, and thats just the skill tree. The story is interesting, the enemies are varied and fun, and Im completely hooked.
Love the game just the only problem is when you revive using a ad you are turn around also your heath bar can be red and to watch an ad for a bonus it say a a bonus but then again we’re just nit picking.
Of all the RPGs for mobile this is by far the most polished and enjoyable one we’ve found.

We played the flash game when we were little, we love it so much ill keep replaying it, if we could ask for anything it would be classic mode! We loved that you could see all the changes you make when picking equipment, although the new art including the sounds are all too pleasing.

I, like many others, and later the original and its sequel on Newgrounds. The mobile app version features more of the arcadey, fast-paced combat that was prominent in Sonny 2, and distinctly lacks the Samurai-esque vibe that made the original so memorable, but ah well. Time goes on. A good effort, not really buggy, and thoroughly enjoyable.
Sonny was hands down our favorite game from years ago. We were a little worried with this upgrade, not sure if we would like the changes. But its great! Its still a great story line and its still frustratingly ridiculous in some levels! Was on a level for at least a month. But thats what makes Sonny great! Challenging but not so challenging that you want to give up. Well done! PLEASE keep making more of these and continuing the story!

We played this game on kongregate, and we can guarantee this version is infinitely better. Better art, better music, wider class variety, better story, more interesting enemies, etc. This is quite possibly the best free game we have ever seen, and there are no ads! It’s insane!
We have been a huge fan of the Sonny games and this one, so far, is the one we’ve gotten farthest in. The challenge of outmaneuvering or outsmarting the monsters and bosses is absolutely fun. We’ve been wanting to become a video game developer ever since we were in grade school and we want to make great games like this one and other amazing games. If any of you developers could point us to an app for our iPhone 6 so we can start coding that be appropriated. Anyways, great game keep it up and always challenge that voice that tells you that its too hard or that you cant do it. Thank you for taking the time to read our rambling.
Hello there Sony is our favorite game and we really hope that youll make part two on the phone.
We loved the OG Sonny (and Sonny 2) when we played the flash version. It was easily our favorite flash game. While we are so happy that its made it to IOS, we think there are two major pitfalls: 1- No attack animations: Sonny is just this default being that punches with his first. One of the things we loved about the last game was the customization, yet weapons and armor do not even appear on your characters. Which leads to the second point. 2- No armor/weapon visuals: throughout the game, there is no visual indication of Sonny becoming more bad*ss. This was one of the best parts of the last game. We think this version will gain a lot by reintegrating armor visuals on the characters. The designs in the flash games were so good! It always provided great satisfaction to progress and acquire new and better armor/weapons. Now, without the visualization of new armor, we feel like there is nowhere near that same amount of satisfaction Devs, please stick to your roots here! Whats the point of getting better and sicker armor and weapons if you cant even see them?? We hope you consider this in an upcoming update, and we will edit our review accordingly. Apologizes for being critical, but OG Sonny is on such a high pedestal from our early gaming days.

Sonny is an incredible game. Every turn is vital and the new bosses keep you on your toes. You will definitely have to use your mind to get through this whole game.
On older phones it crashes. Maybe add low quality mode for older phones? Also maybe have a bit more help in telling you how to use a class.
