We love this game!!! We played the free version and that was fun but when we saw this one we had 5 dollar gift card so we went ahead and tried it and it is awesome! We small problem is that the buttons are a little small. But other wise this game is so much fun!
No ads, no bull, just a fun, full game. Remember what that was like when the App Store first launched? Love it – great way to pass the time, just simple fun.
This is the second Freemium game we’ve seen that has been released as a full game with no IAP or ads for extra bonuses. Im so happy to see this trend and hope it continues! Im so done with stamina, daily log ins, etc. For us, this being a single player, offline game makes it even better. The only other game we’ve seen following this trend is Vengeance RPG (an action RPG like a Diablo type game in development but with plenty of fun content already, also with no IAP. These are the types of games that deserve our support, especially with this stupid pandemic hitting many of us hard in the wallet! Thank you for making a great premium experience! Im more than happy to support this game. Its a heck of a lot of fun! Great controls, the ability to replay missions as much as you want, while still earning gold and upgrades on a regular basis. Very rewarding! Easy 5 stars!
Whats the difference of the other game and this this one?
All we have to say is WOW!!!! Im a guy who loves a good space faring game, with action, customization and good graphics and we have to say this delivers in every aspect! And we love how there is absolutely NO IN-GAME PURCHASES!!!! Thats right, you buy the game and its all YOURS. Everything can be unlocked via in-game currency that you earn just by playing!! Now the only thing we would like, and we know Im only 5 minutes in and probably dont know if that feature is already in here but… Please let us customize our armor!! With different pieces for the different classes of armor and/or being able to customize the color of our armor would be great! Also a little hub area, like our ship which we can customize or something like that would be cool…. We’ve been looking for a great mobile game and we think this is it!!!! Keep up the great work!!!
We dont like top down action shooters. We dont like arcade type action games. Im not that good at shooter games. We dont like blood in shooting games. BUT we LOVE SPACE PIONEERS!!!! Its addictive! Theres an option to turn off blood. The game is fun with no issue of control. We usually hate iphone shooting games because our thumb slides off the virtual control and gets on the way of the action. In this game our thumb DOES SLIDE OFF the virtual control but it doesnt interfere with the action. Each board is short with quick and simple objectives. We like short boards so the game never feels frustrating or overwhelming. And if you need to replay a board for more stars ( to unlock next chapter) its not a dreadful chore because the boards are refreshingly short. The upgrades and rewards chests are cool. We feel like 3.99 is a great price for this game. And most of all….a one time purchase with NO IAPs! NO STORE TO PURCHASE ANYTHING WITH REAL MONEY! And you dont purchase in game currency with money! You EARN the cash! You can also close app and come back to same board! KUDOS! Keep up the good work. THIS IS A MUST BUY!
One purchase at a reasonable price, no ads, entirely offline, struggling timers. That alone made us purchase. Ill let you know how the game play goes.

Gameplay is fast and addictive. We can play through a couple missions in our 10 minute break and feel like Im making decent progress with leveling gear. One of if not the best game we’ve played on our phone in years.

This is actually playable now! We love it, thank you guys a ton!
We tried out the original on a recommendation, but the chest timers and energies and grind really just made the game unapproachable for us. We had to play on the developers time when they wanted us to; now we can play on our time when we feel like it. The game has a lot of the little issues from the original like the feeling that the true enemy of the game is its auto targeting system that we often wish there was a way to let us quickly override in game. Otherwise its got the same great twin stick action and short missions with challenging objectives. This version does have some features removed present in the IAP version such as multiplayer which we remember was a really enjoyable game mode for us. We can’t really fathom why that with be removed in this version but it really is a bummer not to have it. Theres a lot of potential in future updates to add things like co-op, multiplayer, a rogue like Risk of Rain style game mode or a boss rush mode. Even custom community made missions would be a great way to add endless content and value to players. We’re glad the developers went this route with the monetization and we really enjoyed how much we’ve played so far and we are looking forward to finishing and 3 staring every mission, ideally with a friend in co-op, but even the single player is a lot of fun.
Gameplay is great. Now that its not free to play the money system seems to be broken though. You end up with so much extra gold with nothing to spend it on. Also every star challenge involves the same handful of guns for some reason.
Simply fantastic and worth the price. Our only complaint is that there is no cross save between our iPhone and iPad. It kinda means we have to choose which one we want to play on and we hate feeling like If we wanna change devices we have to basically redo everything we just did.
The game is enjoyable for the first few hours, but gets repetitive later on. We were excited when we began playing – tons of weapons, gear, and abilities to unlock – but as we progressed, the games shortcomings began to present themselves. Youll unlock everything around level 40 and then youll be trapped in a cycle of monotony for the latter half of the game. Upgrades dont feel rewarding, levels are copied and pasted with only minor tweaks, and the shooting mechanics are lackluster. Your gun aims itself, stripping the player of any sense of agency. Also the in game currency is handed out like candy, rendering it almost useless because you never have to decide what to spend it on. Want that upgrade? Buy it. Want this upgrade? But it. Theres no need to manage your resources sense they flow like water. Again, let us say, we enjoyed this game for a few hours, but by the end it felt quite empty, unrewarding, and tedious. Three stars for a solid two hours of content and no in app purchases, but nothing ground breaking here.
It was fun at first, we were hoping beating the campaign would add an actual endless mode feature, but it just repeats quest. Try adding more game modes or co-op to spice it up.

We bought this hoping for coop. It is mentioned in the description. Still no coop. Remove that from you description. Been a long while now, even after the devs responded and claimed they would remove the mention of coop from the description, it still claims you can unlock coop games modes. This is not present in this game. Disappointing to see a developer acknowledge a basic text issue in a store description (one that is misleading) and still not fix it.
The game plays just fine, but there are many achievements that are simply impossible to earn. For example, in chapters 10 and 11, there are three missions that require using level 2 or above of some special weapons in order to earn all the stars. After 300+ planets of successful missions, all three of those weapons are still at level 1 despite needing only a single upgrade card to reach level 2. Worse, the game is no longer giving us weapon upgrade cards. So obviously, the game does not include cards to upgrade those weapons, which means its impossible to earn 3 stars on those missions. Worse, there is a Trophy that requires you to earn all stars on chapters 1 through 11, so this defect makes it impossible to earn the trophy. The game is fun and simple, but we are giving it a 1-star rating in hopes that the developers will pay attention and fix this issue… But we doubt they will.
