We bought this game when it was owned by a different company. When the game was sold , it was upgraded via the app store, and said upgrade forced a free upgrade to a Gameclub subscription model that we are not interested in. Our game is now worthless because the app wont let us opt out. Im seriously thinking about reporting this to the Federal Trade Commission.
We remember when this wasnt a place riddled with in app purchases. Cant you at least make enjoyable games?
The new gameclub has locked us out of our game. It states that if we had already bought it then we could still play but then states that it cannot find our purchase. It was a fun game when we played it last. Do not purchase now because it is part of a subscription.
We purchased this game on the App Store and now it is going through some outside subscription app service that said they cant find where we purchased it on apple. They say on their web page that if you bought it you own it but until they can figure it out if we want to play they make us watch adds for game time.
So, When we were younger, (Keep in mind, we are eleven.) we saw this this game that intrigued us. So we thought, why not give it a go? Beautiful. The very first second we started playing, we starting looking at the spider, noticing the detail. Of course, us being curious, we explored the map. The amount of detail and creativity suprimes us. Immediately, we fell in love with this game. Until one day, we had to delete it because of our storage. Now here we am, looking through all the apps we got, and found this. We have already downloaded this again, and we will definitely show this to our spider-loving friends. Thank you for making this game! It really makes our day. To see a cute little spider crawling around.
Hey? We bought this game when it came out at launch at a premium price. We updated our game recently, and now it says we need a premium subscription to play the game? What gives? Why do legacy owners not get access to the game we payed for?
To play this past the first couple of levels you have to pay for a subscription to game club. Its really not worth it with so many other games out there. Game itself is ok the original was better doesnt seem very clear played on a phone and is hard to identify the insects. What ruined it for us was having to get a subscription just to play.
This is one of the most disappointing things thats happened to any of the old iOS games. Locking content behind a subscription for a classic like this is a huge shame, this game should be on Apple Arcade if anywhere, not on some unknown weird subscription service gathering dust. Hopefully this changes one day, until then Im out, and we say that as having really fond memories of the game.
We love this game! So happy theyve made a sequel to the original! Fun pass time. We dont own too many games on our phone but have always enjoyed these. Creepy, fun, unique and surprisingly simple.

We purchased this game though Apple Apps. Your company has purchased this from the creator of the game. We see no reason why we should have to join your website to restore MY purchased game. We will delete this forever.
Cannot get past adverts. Will not close, so we cannot play. Not interested in adverts. Ill have to delete game if we dont receive an answer. One star because of not being to close ads. Disappointing, because original game is so straight forward.
No offense, the game is incredible & beautifully illustrated to us. Our only problem is how youre capitalizing off of it, making us pay tokens, or even money to play for just 5 minutes. Its not necessary, & utterly ruins the initial feel the game was meant to give, stripping away the freedom that once stood prideful atop this little arachnids back.
We played the first game a long time ago and we thought of playing it again since we dont have many games on our phone anymore. It took us forever to find the names of the games. We downloaded this one and got through the first few levels. Then we realized that to play the rest of the levels, we have pay $5.99 per month. We dont want to pay $6 dollars so we can finish a mobile game that we’ve already started.
App updated then then wanted us to buy it again. It couldnt find our purchase and said contact support. Here we am.

We’re not one to get sucked in to a lot of games. However, this one is very beautiful and enjoyable!
We’ve played through the first one so many times now, its ridiculous. When we went on the App Store and saw this, we instantly bought it. When we started playing through this, we were MIND-BLOWN. Simply MIND-BLOWN. Its really cool. We love the fact that theres a mystery to solve thats the background of this game, and its really fun, mysterious, and slightly creepy at times. The graphics are really cool, the music is insanely good, and we love how creative it is. Id recommend it to anyone who likes mysteries and adventure. Its simply a must-have app.
This is, in our humble opinion, the best game ever. We’ve gone to great lengths to have it on multiple platforms, and have replayed it countless times. We’ve never encountered another game with such a depth to the story, or one with such unique play itself. Location and weather features make for fresh play. We’ve tried to spread the word, without giving too much of the mystery away. Please try this game! It is well worth the money, and your time!

This game was hard for us, but with a little help here and there we were able to figure out most of it. We found it highly entertaining. The only sour note we found was waiting for the weather to change.

At first, we thought we were going to regret buying it. But now we’re truly in love with this game! The scenery is so beautiful! We love how you have to play on real different weather days to discover new secrets. So much fun! There’s so much to do and discover! And the spiders are SO cute! Best mystery/spider game out there! Highly recommended!
Honestly we don’t know what to say we mean it is a masterpiece art style is Gorgeous This is idea people tried to achieve correctly but this is the only one that got it right the controls are tight and natural (easy to memorize) The game itself. Is amazing we can recommend this to anyone weather your 5 or 92 get this it’s amazing.
Love this game, it’s fun and unique. It kind of reminds us of Myst. We like the mystery aspect of it, we enjoy figuring out how to make the right webs, and we love how the game is from the perspective of a jumping spider. We enjoyed the first ‘Spider’ game, and this one is even better. The artwork for the spider types is amazing, and we appreciate the accuracy of their depiction. The game mechanics take patience, sometimes we’ll have to zoom out to figure out how to construct a web or see how far to jump. We love how the little jumping spider crouches with the front legs positioned forwards just before a jump. It’s a small detail but it’s accurate to how a real jumping spider behaves. We enjoy these small details, and it is great that someone went to the effort to implement this accuracy into the game. We do love playing as Phidippus regius! :)
Make spider 3 you have to and have a black widow spider.
This is a love it or hate it type of game, for us it’s a "love it". Trying out different ways of trapping bugs, and luring/scaring grasshoppers right into your web is a blast, not to mention the mysteries and puzzles. Having the same levels be totally different experiences based on time/weather gives it longevity most other games don’t. The ONLY reason we gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is the location system doesn’t seem to want to work for us, we have to sometimes adjust the weather manually. We recommend this game whole heartedly, it can be hours, weeks or even months of fun depending on how often you play. For us we expect this game will last quite a while.
Moon no longer appears with latest Apple system update. Please fix ASAP.
Clever concept but janky controls ruined it for me.
Gameplay is similar to the arcade game Qix but with multi-screen levels and an additional layer of storytelling. All this could be a nice combo, but unfortunately the control scheme is disappointing and the spider rarely goes where we want it to go. We gave up after playing for about an hour.
We’ve gotten stuck very early in this game because there are no sparkles or clue where the opening is. Maybe we just havent found the way out of the first room one we’ve eaten all of the bugs. We dont want to replay this level over and over… One after eating everything the spider disappeared! Where ever it went maybe where we need to go but we have no clue how our spider got there… Help?!
TLDR: controls are too difficult for kids, gameplay too boring for adults. The devs had some great ideas, and there is a great game in here somewhere. We especially love the innovative use of weather detection. And we don’t think a similar game mechanic exists. But the controls and camera behavior do make things difficult. We don’t know how you could have better controls, but it is hard in general. The UI is also not intuitive and lacks some basic navigation functions. Plus we really don’t know or care what the goal is. Unfortunately this is a mediocre game because the innovative ideas were not implemented effectively. This in stark contrast to their outstanding title: waking Mars.
See Mage Gauntlet or Wayward Souls for what the pro-swipe controls scheme is. This game needs pro-swipe. Pro-swipe to move, tap to jump. Entire game 100% better. Remember, controls are the window to your game’s soul. Or at least non-randomly-inverting controls. When holding the left side, the spider moves left when facing upright (anticlockwise motion), left when facing upside down (clockwise motion), and random up or down when on a wall(I don’t know motion). At least make it consistent! Also, the spider looks like a jumping spider, but doesn’t catch bugs mid-air, instead using a web to catch them…?

Amazing graphics and great interplay! More than a scratch-the-surface mystery… Dig deeper and learn of a Secret Society. Several levels and varied plays available for different weather and moon phases. Can’t get enough!

We played the first version so many times it was ridiculous. We were thrilled to see the new version and it’s beyond expectations. It’s very challenging which is great, so we’ll be playing for a long time. And the graphics are gorgeous. Well done! Highly recommended!
What other game can let you be a spider and eat bugs. What’s better is that you solve mysteries of the Blackbird estate. It’s has a deep and great story.
Great little sequel to a great game. Now please get busy on Waking Mars 2 already. That game was simply the best game we’ve ever played on any platform.
We love this game! It’s so original! We haven’t played the first one but we’re almost done with this one, so we’ll get the first one after we finishing this one. So we recently unlocked the last spider and, ITS A WALRUS?!?!? We mean it’s cool but, really? A walrus? Anyways it’s a really great game!

We have been playing this game nonstop for weeks. Things just keep popping up. We keep coming across new rooms, Easter eggs and secrets. … For those who want to know what this game is about: there are two layers – one, you are a spider who builds webs and catches bugs. It’s fun and can be really challenging at times due to heavier bugs and moving environments knocking down your web which you can only replenish by eating more bugs. Two, there is a mystery going on in the mansion you move around in that needs to be solved. As a spider you could’nt care more about the mystery. But as human it’s extremely enthralling. Clues, switches, hidden rooms, etc. Are in every room. And it’s a blast to find them, especially when they involve new and unseen bugs. The soundtrack is killer and the hand drawn graphic are awesome. On top of that the levels change depending on the time of day and weather. For instance if it’s raining, different bugs will be available and different parts of the rooms will be open or closed, Ex: if it’s raining you can’t crawl up certain walls or get up drain pipes, but something may be flooded to let you get into a new area not seen before. We can’t rant more about this game. It’s on point. Furthermore the mystery in the game extends into reality. You can research that yourself…. Happy hunting!
