A Glimpse into Starborn Anarkist

Update: Has now featured in "Best New Games" and "What We’re Playing" in the app store!

One man’s junk is another man’s galactic battleship…

In this addictive arcade-style twin stick space shooter, you (a disgruntled waste collector) salvage the debris from each round of your destructive rampage to piece by piece transform your humble space-garbage-truck into a starship worthy of your cause.

Build increasingly better ships to unleash powerful weapons and gadgetry — lasers, giant ball-and-chains, anti-gravity orbs, heat seeking missiles, magnets, freeze rays and more — against endless waves of enemies and huge, modular bosses.

You’ll never survive. But if you’re going down, you’re taking as many of them with you as you can. See how long you can continue the anarchy!

Really fun, and controls surprisingly well for a mobile game. Im enjoying it a lot so far.

We got two turrets The The bullet one and the missile One.

Great game if this is your type. We play it for the challenges, delete the game and then do the challenges again.

We dont usually write reviews but this game is unique different yet familiar all of the same time. Entertaining as well and we definitely recommend it youre searching or interested in some thing again different yet familiar. (!!! Nice-Job!!!)

Do not even bother asking your parents first totally fun and is not online. So if you have super strict parents (like mine) you wont have to worry about it being online. But if you like it if its online this is not the game for you. But perfect solution to strict parents.

Had this game forever and yet we still always play it. Nuff said friends.

A game we come back to over and over! We will even occasionally uninstall and reinstall it so we can go through it from tiny ship to juggernaut again! Developer: work with the App Store to rerelease this gem and gain a who new following of players!

All but two, we repeat, ALL BUT TWO, of the ratings that are 3-stars or less were given four years ago and they refer to problems that have, with the exception of controller support, been remedied. There is some learning curve with regards to choosing and equipping the various vessels, but isnt that what makes for a long period of enjoyment in a challenging and complex game universe? So dig in, this game is well worth the effort… And you CAN, with patience, do well WITHOUT any IAP.

We’ve only got a few hours in but Im really liking it. Despite the change in genre, its a good replacement for old and defunct twin-sticks like GunBros. The only thing keeping it from 5 is the lack of MFI/Xbox/PS4 controller support.

Good gameplay… Very challenging, tough controls but fun.

It is fun to play, but takes a little bit to learn the controls.

Some of the weapons are pretty useless, like the ball and chain. After playing through for a bit you get better and better weapons, its got a good system for getting parts; blowing up bosses. The upgrades/weapon switching mechanic is mediocre. Every time you switch, the weapons are shields you have are dropped to the lowest level and you have to rebuild all that power, but youll eventually run into a different weapon type by accident, again resetting your power. We think a good way to fix that would be to, instead of resetting your power to 1, every time you switch, the power goes down by one. Or something to that effect. Of course youd have to build up the powers separately. Overall its fun and its kept us engaged for over a week despite its problems.

For the most part this game is a lot of fun, but the weapon switching part is so annoying it kind of ruins the whole thing. You can spend a lot of time and effort getting your current gun upgraded, and then just accidentally touching an upgrade for a different gun instantly switches you to that type and drops you clear back to the lowest level. It’s so annoying when you’re going after a huge boss with upgraded weapons, only to suddenly be dropped back to the lowest level of a gun you don’t want to use simply because an upgrade for that gun happened to wander too close in the middle of the battle.

This game is kind of good its kind of fun but the only problem with it is the drone bay its literally 200,000 pieces literally wasted why? Well because it does nothing we waited more than five minutes in a fight with other ships and nothing came out of it we literally wasted 200,000 pieces just for a piece of junk that does nothing please tell us if it actually does anything we tried it about three times still nothing comes out how come the anti-missile launcher works but this doesnt we dont understand.

PLEASE REMOVE THE WEAPON FOLLOWING.

Had this on our iPhone 6s and enjoyed it up until we upgraded to iPhone 10s. Game doesnt sync across phones and we cant even restore purchases that we made. Deleting.

It’s a really entertaining and enjoyable portable shoot ’em up. We would fully recommend this game for its asking price.

Love the building mechanic of the Star ships. Only a bit confusing.

Help us. We haven’t been able to do posting this game for days. It’s just too fun to improve our ship, overcome challenges, and blow things up!

Super fun and easy try to get started!

This is a great game, and about as addictive as they comeshort (especially at first) intense bursts of exquisite carnage. The achievements list has some pretty fun challenges that can require a lot of experimentation with ship customization in order to complete. It would be great if more of them could be added. Overall a very thoughtfully designed game.

Look this game is wonderful the idea is new you become bigger and stronger over time justhehshshshshdh its great we definitely recommend it.

Best game ever add A multiplayer mode where you can play with your friends.

Great as a little time waster, but also good for a marathon session.

Solid progression and feel… Controls could use a little tuning but all in all worth the money.

… Most of the time. This is good. New/old school mix.

We like space games and this one of the better one’s. Being able to build your own ship is unique. Lots of add ons. Gets better as you upgrade!

Fun so far but sorely lacking controller support.

The game is nice however we could play for any longer than 5 minutes, the controller plus de movement of the space ship are extremely imprecise making a huge challenge to just pick-up a buff. Sorry but controllers and movement is a most in a game.

We don’t often write reviews, but this game deserves it. Very well done gameplay and great design for an iPhone.

Awesome. Well worth the couple bucks.

This game is really fun! We like how you can put different parts together on different ship layouts! We hate it when we have level 10 upgrades and then accidentally pick up other color parts and you are back to level 1! Even though we have a magnet!

We play a lot of iOS gamesany good ones we can find. This is not only an original, but is a solid, good game. If it’s a first in a series, we can only imagine how great the next one will be!

But we can’t figure out why the gold fish etc are single-use….

Progressive, interesting, just shoot and destroy rebuild and repeat.

This game is dangerously replayable. 5 Stars.

Really fun but money for upgrades takes a while. Looooooots of grinding.

This is a well-balanced, well-crafted game that doesn’t take itself too seriously. It is easy to pick up and play but deep enough that the hours will just fly by. The customization available for your ship is impressive. It’s an intuitive system but not everything is immediately apparent. It took us a while to figure out the red shields repel bullets and missiles but do little to stop lasers. Fans of the original Star Control will appreciate the top-down perspective, inertia based controls, and large variety of ships.
