Gosh what a great game. Love it. Just needs to be updated for the wider size, because not having a reliable touch area makes it frustrating! And like others we have some occasional freezes when teleporting.

We bought this game back in Jan. 2015 when we were younger. We spent hours playing and eventually beat the game. We had to reinstall for the nostalgia, this game will always have a special place in our heart. We wish more people would play and enjoy it.

The most underrated game on the App Store. Amazing storyline and awesome gameplay. Im pretty sure the game hasnt been updated in like 4 years tho which doesnt make it compatible with the current IOS. But it still does work so its fine.

When we collect the Doing Things The Hard Way trinket, we cannot get rid of the congratulatory message and we get softlocked.
We play this a lot its a great way to just relax and play and it has a great storyline.

Some of the levels might make you want to die but they are so fun and challenging! Great game.

We played this game on our pc a couple years ago and a friend told us that it was on the App Store. We immediately bought it and have had endless fun with it. The plot is amazing and its challenging enough to get your brain thinking! 10/10.
This is one of our favorite games available on iOS. The soundtrack is catchy and immersive and a great complement to the challenging gameplay. VVVVVV is very difficult but its replay-ability is high because it is so driven by the core mechanic of the game. We recommend this to anyone who loves challenging platformers.
One of the best games Ive ever played on iOS.
This is one of our favorite games of all time and unlike most mobile ports this is just as good as the console and PC versions. (Though its missing the level editor.) This game was difficult at first but Ive beaten it a few times now so even things like Edge Games and Doing Things The Hard Way dont give us too much trouble. Anyone who enjoys difficulty, which we do, will most likely have a blast with this game. The level design is great, the music is great, getting all the trinkets is fun, and its overall just an amazing game. We highly recommend it.
Havent played it in a few years, but the main game mechanic is fantastic, and the C64 aesthetic is super clean. Was playing Super Hexagon wondering if VVVVV was ever updated for newer iOS systems and literally 8 minutes before we checked, it was. :) Thank you for this amazing game. Have a good day.
This is the best game we have ever played on iOS. We're not much of iOS player as much as a computer player but this game got our attention. We got it for free at Starbucks and it has been our favorite game. Although, there are some parts that are really hard or just mind games, don't give up, try everything, and if it doesn't work look it up on YouTube. Not gonna lie we had to do it 2 times. The best part of this game is that it needs no wifi so we can save our LTE while having fun. We've been playing this game for about 2 weeks and we beat it.

Dude, the fact that we beat this in a day kind of proves the game is easy. But it still kills time and that makes it a good thing to have on your mobile device. You can play it again and again and player levels are a blast! We truly reccomend this game.
We wish there was the invulnerability cheat, like on PC, for when we get really stuck.
Game is fantastic and have been a fan for over a decade. The iPhone port works, and its touch support is surprisingly good. IPad port is lacking- needs a bilinear scaler wfor retina displays and gamepad/keyboard support. Please show this game some love.
Love this game, really truly deeply – even if we're miserable at it! Why 4 out of 5? Bilinear (or trilinear/etc) filtering on our ipad – blurry edges on the pixels. We were shocked to not see an option for this in the settings. Is this an iOS / game engine limitation? We'd love to see this in the sharp, blocky way we're used to from PC.

The reason its a nearly perfect game is because the game just freezes when you touch the SS1 teleporter. And sometimes after you quit a time trials, the screen goes black but you can still flip around. If those bugs werent in the game it would be a perfect game! Five stars! SS1 is Space Station 1, the first zone in the game. We only called it that because we speedrun this and thats what speed runners call it. But other than that, a great game.
We love this game, but ever since we updated to iOS 11 the left direction sticks and our character moves on its own. Any fix?? Ive tried changing control type and restarting the app but didnt work.
This game is great. Its fun, worth the money, and just all around amazing! However, this port is old. Like, super old. It was last updated in (we believe?) 2017-2018. It doesnt receive as much attention as the PC version, and its showing. It works fine right now, but its starting to break down, and in another 5 years itll probably be even worse. Buy the PC version. Theres much more you can do with it, and it isnt breaking down.
It has been 5 years since this game has been updated and it needs one now. We want to use the level editor. And why is the resolution so bad.
Playable and enjoyable on mobile, but not great. Frequent occasions of directional inputs not registering. Seems the input area is only the game width, but it also extends a variable amount off the game window? Hard to figure out how to control your character. Even an hour or two in.

We have this game on PC and on our 3DS and we love it, so we decided to buy it on our phone to have an excuse to rebeat it another time but the port is just AWFUL, the image looks all blurry and bad, theres giant black borders and the controls are ok, but not the best. And the worst part is that Apple doesnt consider the almost unplayable state of the port a valid point to get a refund. Nice :| we are dead serious, DO NOT BUY THIS.
The fact that you can't turn down the music in the game kills this game for us. We want to be able to listen to music or a podcast when we play and we can't.
This is the best game we've ever downloaded. It is fun, easy-to-play-hard to-master. Plus, the music is great. It took us about 2.5 hrs to beat the game but there is still trinkets to find which unlock a hidden area.
We very rarely find games like these. The ones that pull us in and keep us playing even if we have hit the same set of spikes on the same screen for the hundredth time. The ones that make us want to go out and get all of the collectibles, not only to say that we've done it, but to also see as much of the game as possible. This is a game that we remember screen for screen. We bought this during the %66 off indie sale and if we hadn't caught that deal then we would probably never have this game. It is very difficult, and you will spend 5-10 minutes on some screens. Even up to 30-60 for one or two trinket screens if you want them. But it's all worth it. This game doesn't other many hours the first play though. But with all the extra modes and all of the player made worlds it makes the game much longer. The only thing we can say is that we heavily hope that they come out with the VVVVVV: Make and Play edition for iOS. But beyond that it is worth every penny that it costs, even without the deal. And we hope that if anyone that gets the chance to try it takes that chance and plays through the game completely and fully, then you'll really start to understand how amazing this simple little game really is.
If you find yourself saying these same words, good luck, because the accuracy of the controls makes the mobile version more rage inducing than the original. Aside from that, it still manages to capture the amazing puzzle mechanics of the original version.
This game is HARD! But it's super fun and holds your attention! Points: Easy to learn Hard to master Well worth the $$$ Feel accomplished.
We had first played this game on our DSi and we sold that for a 3DS like 5 years ago so seeing this on the App Store and being able to play it brings back memories since it was one of our absolute favorite ds game of all time.
This game blew us away for a free game we got at a starbucks. Super fun and addicting.
Worth every penny. You'll spend more than 40 minutes trying to get some shinys but it's worth every minute lol! So fun and frustrating but you'll eventually come out on top! Highly recommend.
We LOVE THIS APP! But one thing. Can you add a part where you can make your own dimension? We thought you could do that when you beat the game but it didn't.

The pc and 3ds versions of the game have it, so why shouldent this version.
Awesome game. Very very frustrating. But if you keep on trying you will eventually beat it. We beat it after dying like 2000 times. Very fun if you never give up. Worth the money.
Amazing game enough to keep you busy for few days if you want to finish the hole thing; it could get very frustrating but it gets challenging as far as you go. Amazing design an music very old school… Get real you don't need great graphics to enjoy a videogame.

Oh. Our. GOD! This has to be the most entertaining and fun game we have ever played. The no death mode is so hard but not so hard that we just rage quit. The music is AMAZING!!!!! The game never gets boring. The fact that you can submit levels made by yourself just makes the game more diverse. The shiny trinkets that you have to find gives the game a better challenge. Keep up the awesome work, our friend.
