We paid for the ad-free version. Suddenly with the latest update, we are getting a ton of ads. We finally found a hidden link to restore purchases, but when we clicked we got a message that said nothing to restore – which is patently false because we still have our paid receipt. No way to report the problem to the developer: the app support button leads you to a marketing page that has NO contact info. Been dealing with this mess for a few days now and havent been able to play a single game. Used to be our favorite game app; now we feel screwed over. Updating six weeks later after reading the developers response: we gave you a second chance tonight and re-downloaded the game. BUT we STILL CANT restore purchases. Still getting ads when we paid for ad-free. Still feeling screwed over, and now feeling like you lied to us.
We had a our own cartoon profile picture for years and now suddenly got this standard cartoon girl there instead. Why cant we use our own profile picture.
We just want to say this is the best Yatzy we've played to this day. It's so easy to play with friends online and the app opens really fast, bearable ads, just great overall. But we want to point out that in Android (Samsung S21 with latest updates) it doesn't even open. Please fix it so we can play with S21 users (like with most of our family). Thanks.
Was a great app, the best, but last update eliminated single player. Bring back a single player option.
Great game! When you get a chance to play, that is. The ads are half of the game time.
Great fun but when playing the Robot, it makes stupid moves that makes it easier for us to win. So there is no challenge to game.
You want ads? You get ads! And the same ads over n over. Im never gona buy anything from a cell phone add.
We have stopped playing SEVERAL times because we got stopped so many times for ads. We actually downloaded another Yatzy game.
This app has too many ads after every turn another ad. We wish the ads were limited too one per round not after every turn.
We used to play this a lot, but the sounds make it tough to play. It is particularly bad when the sounds turn on with adds when we have sounds set to off, make it tough to play anymore.
Sadly but the network play do not work any more.
It has to play 2 or 3 ads before the new game. We dont like it. It used to play one ads before the new game.
Great fun but to many ads & no way to remove ads permanently with out paying a monthly fee.
All we want is a pass-and-play Yatzy game to play on a plane with a friend that we can buy outright. We thought this might be the way to go because it lists an in-app purchase of No Ads for $4.99. Nope. Not an option in the shop. You either keep paying forever or put up with insufferable ads that plague you constantly.
We used to love this game. Spent $2.99 to stop ads, your site froze h& had to reinstall. The ads were back and you wanted another $2.99!!! Your game isnt that special. Candy Crush ads are killing your business. The ad is really long, invasive and not appropriate for adults! You guys have lost us.
We loved this game. And we dont mind sitting through an ad to help the developers. But 45 seconds is too long to watch screens from candy crush. Im thinking of deleting.
Back in Nov there was an update that caused us to stop using this app due to a distracting addition. But we submitted our opinion, which was responded to and this evening we opened up the game to find they had fixed it. We are so excited to be back. Thank you.
Played this once with 4 friends and enjoyed it. Since then ,however, it has become very difficult for the game to find the friends even though we all have a common secret word.The app spins and spins and never finds them. Is there a better way to assure or speed up the process? Would be interested in others experience or the creators.
Ads have become so long that Im saying so long. App removed.
Old set up better. Too much info stuff on screen. Try to hit one score and it registers 0 on the cube below. Ex got 30 pets for a partial straight and when we touch the cube for points it registers 0 in the 40 point cube. Very frustrating and causes us to lose the game. Not happy and our fingers never had a problem touching the screen on the old game.
The pop up adds blocks the bottom of the game view making the game useless.
We dislike having to wait to play because of all the animations. Also, the new update shrunk the size of the dice. We dislike the new size because now its easy to miss touching the one you want to keep.
Please, make a pro version. Id be happy to pay to get rid of the ads. Or try to make it less annoying, eg. Players are listed while they are still watching ads.
We like this game, but we have paid for no ads and they are still there. We can find no support options.
We dont like having to turn off the music EVERY time we open the app. And we dont like the extra step when you want to start a new game before completing the one youre playing. Otherwise, great game. Update 2/18/20: The annoying extra step to start a new game is gone. But the music has to be turn off EVERY time the app is loaded. Plus, it seems to take a lot longer for the app to load.
The game is good but to many advertisements.
We really enjoyed playing this game. The biggest disappointment was the ADS. 30 second ads back to back and between games really diminish the enjoyment of this game.
Not happy w the new version. This was always a fun game to play against robot when waiting in airport or just waiting for just about anything. So disappointed now :(.
We used to rate your game high. We used to love playing. We did not mind the 5-15 secs adds. Now- you have 30 sec ad, then they hang up and you cant get to the game. Each time you start a new game another 30 sec ad. Then it hangs up! We are actually done with your game. Too many ads and not enough game.
Great game – when you can get to it. Updates now force 2 (two) 7 second ads. Prior to game play. You must click fast-foward for each or they will be 30-second ads (60 seconds lol). When you multi-task out then come back to your game- same horrible experience. Got greedy with ad revenue. If a new update doesnt reduce ads ill find another.
We would give this game NO STARS if we could. Every time we attempt to play a game it crashes and closes, so we dont know if we like it or not because we cant play it, for goodness sakes!!!!! July 13, 2020 Okay, is this a prank? We received a response from you regarding our above rating if your game so we reinstalled it and AGAIN we CANNOT EVEN OPEN IT TO PLAY!!!!! Every time we tap on PLAY it closes. So, whats the point. Thanks but no thanks.
Update – 2/13/2020 – we see a developer replied claiming that their policy is to not show ads during a game. Yes we were being facetious on the last three items we listed but we were receiving ads at times when rolling the dice. We were not joking about that. We do sometimes get prompted with an ad just for rolling the dice. Its not all the time but when it was happening it was very annoying and prompted us to write a review. Perhaps it was a bug that has since been fixed by one of the recent updates. Ill see if we can replicate the issue before upgrading to the latest issue and seeing if it persists. Original – 2/7/2020 – Its a fun game and functions relatively well but they keep adding more and ads over time. Start a new game? AD! Quit a game? AD! Return to menu? AD! Roll the dice? AD! Blink your eyes? AD! Your dog barks? AD! Someone adjusts the thermostat? AD! Also, the display is horrible on the iPhone XR. Some of the dice will be displayed off-screen so you cant even count how many dots are on it.
What used to be a fun app is now riddled with bugs (features?). The Play Again option does not work. This forces you to essentially restart the whole game which requires at least two sets of commercials. On many of the ads it is not apparent how to clear the screen after the ad has run. This also requires a restart.
Terrible update. How can we get back to previous game? With just two players. Would like previous game if possible.
Been playing old version a long time … New update is buggy! New game freezes, our old avatars are gone, serious scoring issues still exist (like nothing you can use a second 5 of a kind on and no extra-yatzee bonus) … But worst of all, now it keeps asking us to pay a monthly subscription to remove ads. Sadly were deleting this app and moving on.
Since the new update, we couldnt play against the computer anymore even though we picked hotseat. But found out that you have to pick the computer character in order to play against the computer. We would recommend that you make this clearer in the settings. Love the game.
Turn off the stupid music we want to play in peace. Changing settings does not work.
We hate the update!! We do not want to wait for players. We have tried to play twice and no players found. We want the option to play against the robot, again.
We loved the game before the recent update. Now we dont like it at all!! We just want to play ourselves, not against other players or in any league. And we care nothing about wagering or winning coins. Can you still make the pre update version available, please.
Takes too long for new players to show up if at all. Like old version better.
They took away the ability to just play by yourself and try to better your own top score. Now you cant play if there arent any challengers (like at 2:30 AM). Our mistake – it seems that we were supposed to know that Hotseat is now a synonym for Single Player (against 1 or more robots)!! Not very obvious! Might want to rethink that choice! Could make it more obvious as to which scores are taken and which scores are tentative for the current set of rolls.
Game is terrific for playing with a friend but frequently doesnt work…cant find friend, or self, or looks for 4 people when you want to play with two. Customer service is responsive but cant/doesnt fix game.
Will not let us select a male aviator for player #1.
App will no longer open since the update yesterday.
Looks like it might be a nice take on Y*htzee but The ones appear under the notch and the dice roll off to the right sometimes. Unfortunately unusable on the iPhone X.
This game has the correct rules, nice music, minimal ads. We like the dice roll animation & sound. Really fun game and it looks to be of higher quality then other alternatives. Thanks.
EDIT removing a star because the sounds got worse, mute doesnt work, AND the scoring has been made illegible with a small super light font and poor contrast. Im deleting this game after promoting it for YEARS. Silly millennial game designers with perfect eyesight should take classes in accessibility and cog sci before improving app screens. This game is fun and well implemented, and the design is attractive and pleasing to look at. We enjoy playing it, and the dice seem properly random. However, there's no way to play it without the super LOUD annoying sound effects. We have to mute our phone to stop the madness. Then we miss phonecalls. Please, Spigo, give us a "turn off sounds" option – like every other sensible game in the App Store.
Thanks for destroying our favorite game and changing it into some emoji joke. We knew we should not have updated it. So sad that you get away with this crap. Have to give it one star to do a review, another scam. We would love to make it 0.
We really don't like the new update. It's hard to see the scores you have vs. What you can use. We loved the old version but can't see keeping this one.
Playing computer does not work have roll for them not good please fix.
