What Makes Cottage Garden Stand Out

COTTAGE GARDEN – a colorful sea of flowers, framed by walls, paths, and hedges. As ambitious gardeners, you face the challenge of filling the beds in every corner of your garden with plants, inspired by the limitations of space to create ever new compositions. You will use a variety of plants — as well as flowerpots and garden cloches — to design gardens that bloom with diversity. Be kind to the helpful cats!

Goal of the Game – In Cottage Garden, you compete in the art of gardening. Plant two Flowerbeds with different flowers. Score each Flowerbed when there are no more free spaces visible on it, then exchange it for a new, unplanted one. You receive points for all visible Flower Pots and Garden Cloches on the completed Flowerbed, and you may also receive Flower Pots and Cats that will help you with your gardening.
The player with the most points at the end of the game is the winner.

Community Insight:

When we play against the medium level AI (Spike), we rarely win. We started to notice that Spikes score is periodically added up incorrectly. This results in Spike getting more points than he should have. Spike is cheating.

Bought this yesterday and cant even complete a game, it freezes on the 3rd or 4th turn. The Developers have obviously abandoned the game but are still making money. Why does Apple let this game remain? This is essentially a scam.

Parental controls make it unusable on a phone. Don't buy it.

This app freezes quite often and sometimes scores incorrectly.

We were looking for a differentsort of game when we stumbled on Flower Garden. We tried it and once we understood the rules, it became a daily challenge for us. Definitely a departure from match three and other typical game genres, and there is something about it that draws us in. At first, the rules seemed a bit cumbersome, but once we played a few games against the AI challengers, we got the hang of it. As typical, the AI games are stacked against you, but they offer a good way to practice strategic thinking and planning. The graphics are appealing and this game offers a nice daily game experience. Perhaps the developers might consider introducing alternative mini-games to keep us interested and challenged.

The game itself is beautiful, runs smooth, and is very relaxing to play. The game has been updated in response to levels of difficulty, which has made the game even more enjoyable. We highly recommend this game.

As a huge fan of Patchwork, we were excited when this game came out. For the most part we love it, but we wish online play werent so tedious. We are constantly having to restart the app because of network connection problems. We also find it takes too long to complete a game, sometimes several days. An option to play against 1 person instead of 2 would be nice. We know there is a quick game option, but whenever Ive tried that, theres never been anyone available to play. Because of the slow online play, we prefer playing against the AI. We dont see much difference between the medium and the hard AI. We usually play with one easy and one medium so we have half a chance of winning, but the easy characters moves are so obviously bad, what was once laughable has become annoying.

This is such s fun game but be ready for your games to time out because they won't load. It's very annoying.

A good start it would be nice if it had the ability to resume games in progress. If the app closes or you can complete a whole game in one sitting you are out of luck and have to start all over again.

Great game, but still a little buggy and has some elements that are not explained. minor unresponsiveness when moving tiles. hard to see the scoreboard elements when playing on smaller screens (and manipulating your score is part of the game). *no options for different timer lengths and no explanation of how the timer works in a multiplayer game, which is a particular problem when notifications are inconsistent.

Rating based on Digidiceds great track record and the physical version of Cottage Garden. An easy 5 star if the app would work for us. It wont show the garden boards and freezes if we go to grab a piece.

This app worked well for about a week. After that us and those we are playing with have had nothing but trouble. We have games that we are supposed to be playing but they do not show up in the queue. We gave offered feedback to the developer but nothing changed! Extremely frustrating. After paying $5 fir this game we expected a smoother operation. Love the game but not the trouble.

We love the game but after recent update it isn't loading our current online games. We see we have 2-3 games thats our turn but the game list is blank. We reloaded game, redownloaded the game, nothing works. We have been timed out several of the games and counted as losses! Please fix! We can't play any games making this game useless for us at the moment. Very frustrating.

For a new player, go through the tutorial at least twice. Once, then go see a Dice Games review on YouTube, then go through the tutorial again and it will make MUCH more sense. We have played 15 games just today and the app is very polished and the game is absolutely wonderful (and fun now that we know what we're doing). Kind of similar to Patchwork but this is like Patchwork on steroids. Digidiced has knocked it out of the park on this one. Very fun game and highly recommended.

Tile laying needs to be more responsive.
